Donny followed Roxy out, but not very close. In fact, the moment she walked out of the door he was gone again. He was still around to watch her, just... Not around to be seen around her. Even when they reached the store he didn't show himself, but he did spend some of the money he got yesterday on some new clothing. Not exactly trendy, but they did offer more storage space for him while still letting him both blend into a normal crowd and look fairly cool. More importantly, he got a hat. He made his purchases and walked up to Roxy in his new clothes.

"Grocery store." Roxy told him. She was please to se that he had gotten a good selection of clothing. She like his hat most of all. She had never been a hat person but the hat he had chosen suited him. As she walked to the grocery store she looked around for him. It was amazing how well he hid considering his size. He was prefect for the job she had given her. When their group got big his skills would be a big asset.

Roxy was pleased when she saw Drake wandering the grocery store. She walked up to him. She tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention. "You dropped this last night. I don't know if you did it on purpose or not."

"I don't accept money I haven't earned. But I do appreciate your thoughtfulness. I am thinking of building a small group of people to work together to survive life on the streets. Maybe possible some day get off them. I have claimed an abandoned hotel. You are welcome to a room provided you would be willing to use your skills to help us." Roxy explained.

"I do. I tried picking pockets when I first ran away from home. I sucked at it. Anyone who can steal that much money would definitely come in handy." Roxy answered. "the hotel isn't much bet its clean."

*Drake nods and smiles at her* "Sure. I'll work with you, I'll move my things in tonight when there aren't many people around to take them from me." *He takes the money from her and smiles more* "I hope I can be a great help to you and everyone. I never had a family before."

"sometimes the family you make for yourself is better then the one you were born into." Roxy told him. She wrote the address down and handed him the paper. "I'm not there after dark. The manger's office and security office are taken. You can have an other room you want."

Looking up from the cereal boxes, Donny walked over to Roxy and whispered into her ear. "I don't mean to alarm you boss... But we may be seeing some action soon." Donny subtly pointed towards a few boys gathered in an aisle near the back. Hoodies up, with bandanas over their mouths, hands inside their pockets. Didn't take a genius to figure out they were about to cause some trouble, but where waiting for everyone to clear out. "Not that I'm trying to boss you around, but... We should leave." As Roxy's bodyguard, his first priority was to protect her. That meant getting her out of danger. Let the government handle taking care of the trash.

*Drake looks at them* "You two can go. I'm going... to do something." *He turns back to the produce, he keeps his eyes on the boys for what they are doing. His hand on something on his side, his small bat like tool.*

"Damn!"Roxy cursed as she saw the gang members gathering at the end of aisle. They hadn't spotted her yet. With any luck she could get out of the store before they did. She hurried to the front the store. Just as she opened the door on of the boys spotted her. "Get her!" Roxy grabbed a knife off her belt and throw it at closest boy. It buried itself into his leg.

"Damn." Almost home free. Just as Roxy was about to leave some of the boys from the back gave chase. Roxy took out one with a knife to the leg. Donny wasn't so merciful; he snatched one of the cheap wine bottles from the store's alcohol section and smashed it over one of the boy's head, and stabbed the broken remain into his back before disappearing to follow Roxy out. "I'm sorry about this in advance boss!" He saw one pull out a gun, which made Donny forcefully pick up Roxy and ran out of the store before shots were fired.

Almost home free. Just as Roxy was about to leave some of the boys from the back gave chase. Roxy took out one with a knife to the leg. Donny wasn't so merciful; he snatched one of the cheap wine bottles from the store's alcohol section and smashed it over one of the boy's head, and stabbed the broken remain into his back before disappearing to follow Roxy out. He saw one pull out a gun, which made Donny forcefully pick up Roxy and ran out of the store before shots were fired.

Roxy was impressed when Donny broke one of the wine bottles and stabbed one of the boys with the broken end. She shook when he picked her up. She hated having people though her. If anyone else had tried it she would have stabbed them. But she knew Donnie was simply trying to do the job she had hired him to do. She wondered where he would take them. She looked behind them but didn't see anyone following them.

Donny didn't really know the city very well, so for the most part he just took her as far as he felt was well away from the store. He at least took into consideration that he may end up in the territory of their newly minted enemies, so he took her to a place that looked like a good hiding spot; a community garden. Currently it was all just flowers and such, but it would also hide them, if only for now. It was also quiet; if anyone came, they'd hear them before they would see them. Donny set Roxy down gently as he took a while to catch his breath. He was only able to take Roxy so far due to the adrenaline pumping through his body at the time, he's normally not so athletic. Once his heart-rate calmed down however, he plopped onto his bum and looked at Roxy.

"Uh... Yeah, sorry for forcing you out like that boss. I ain't bullet proof, and neither are you. Just wanted to make sure those guys didn't get a chance to get a clear shot at you. Mind telling my why they were looking for you though?" Actually, he could guess. He saw who she worked with last night. He even followed them. He didn't... Watch her work or anything, but he made sure to stay nearby if something went down. He got tidbits of information; that her client last night was a gang leader. He didn't know which the leader of which gang, whether it be the ones of the boys who were in the supermarket, or another one entirely. "...Don't suppose it had anything to do with last night, does it?"

Roxy stepped away from him. Her heartbeats pounding nearly as fast as his was. She had tried hard to stay out the gang war. She didn't care who owned the territory. She just wanted to make a living. But both gang leaders had taken an interest in her. At first she had thought it was because of who her father was. But if they knew neither of them mentioned it. Which meant she was just the luck chick that happened to draw their eyes. Unfortunately she drew both leaders at the attention at the same fricken time. She ran her fingers through her hair as she paced. "No you did fine. I don't particularly like to be touched but sometimes it is necessary. I made it clear to both leaders that I'm not interested in them as anything other then clients."

*Drake stayed behind as he dealt with several more guys, almost a dozen. He came out of the shadows and melted away after dealing with them. He did get a nasty cut along his front from one of their knives. He looked around to see if he can find Roxy and Donny, but they weren't in sight.* "Damn..." *He holds the cut as he makes his way back to the Hotel, before he can enter he drops to the ground but he made sure not to leave a trail for them to follow before dropping on his front.*

Donny sighed. He figured it was something like that. From one of his many new pockets it took out a box of pocky, which he picked up while browsing the store. He took a few sticks before offering some to Roxy. "Yeah, that... That would cause problems. Give a man power and they think they're god. And who would dare question god?" Donny gave a derisive snort. He would question god. Still, right now his thoughts lingered to how to keep Roxy safe. Obviously those thugs were going to look for her... And probably kill him for smashing a bottle into one of their boys. "Well, seems like I'm wrapped up in this too." Donny crossed his arms and began to try to devise some sort of idea. Mostly it involved skipping town, but with getting a set up like they have now would be hard to come by, not to mention it'll be difficult hauling their stuff. But first, he needed to know more about the "People" of this city. The ones with power.

"Depends on what mean by running the city. The mayor holds the majority of the power. Of course he answers to Samuel Powers who commands the Power gang. Those were his boys in the store. Powers runs drugs and guns mostly. But that doesn't mean that his counterpart has any less power. Rumor says that Ash Ketchum has the ear of the state senator. I don't know how true that is. Ketchum commands the Rocket gang. They're know for prostitution and arson."

Donny tried not to crackup a laugh when he heard about "Ash Katchum". What a lame name. Still, he lead a gang here in this city, so he's no joke. Still a funny name. "I see...." Donny continued to think of a plan. If it was just the leaders who had their eyes on her, killing both of them will keep her safe... Relatively. It'll be hell on the streets with further violence supplemented by a lack of leadership. Plus he doesn't imagine killing either of them is going to be simple. He was going to need more time to prep and gather intel. For now, he was hungry. "Well, we can think more on this later. Not on an empty stomach. Let's go get some breakfast, I'm buying."
