Some people still shake their heads when they think back to what times were like before Cipher took over everything. Phenac City was still a beautiful place to live, an oasis in the desert. Now it's just a place where Citizens run to when they have nowhere else to go. But no one is safe from Cipher anymore. Pyrite town used to be a town of scoundrels and thugs. Now it's simply a place where people go when they finally decide to give in and join Cipher to become one of the faceless thugs that oppress Orre. The Under has become one of the few places that's relatively safe. The only way to get in to the Under is to come in by elevator and those are guarded around the clock by thugs hired to keep both Cipher and Resistance members out.
But Cipher has goals that exist far beyond Orre. They won't stop until the World is theirs.
The Resistance was founded a year after Cipher managed to take control. Made up of former Team Snagem members who were deemed "expendable" after they served their purpose and trainers who lost valued Pokemon to Cipher's snag machines. The Resistance has fought against Cipher for years without making much headway with one exception: The capture of a portable Snag Machine. With that and the development of devices known as "Aurora Readers" by a brilliant resistance scientist by the name of "Krane" the Resistance has the means of identifying and capturing Shadow Pokemon.
But it's still not enough.
Nearly everyone in the Orre Region now has a grudge against Cipher for one reason or another. You can play the role of a wandering trainer, a member of the resistance or even a Cipher turncoat, anything as long as you fight against Cipher.

For this Rp, we're going to be keeping to the first three Pokemon generations.
No more than four characters
Grand total of six Pokemon in your party at one time. It's most likely not a wise idea to put them in the PC since Cipher could easily steal them away but if you want to leave them with a trustworthy NPC feel free to.
No super overpowered Pokemon at the beginning of the Rp.
No killing off other player's characters without permission.
Please let me know if you want to leave the Rp so adjustments can be made.
