An awful sound filled the Dream Guardian's ears. Unlike Crios, it made him hurry faster down the hall. He skidded to a stop when he saw the group crowded around the room. It was worse than he thought. Enasi assumed it was only two or three that would plan to attack, but instead it was more than ten. The Guardian's fists clenched; not even he could keep his positive energies steady. "All of you! Move!" They had all been too busy covering their ears to notice the two approaching, one being their Guardian. Such demanding and forceful words made even the few fiercest soldiers crowded stumble out of the way. They followed the Guardian's pointing and all stood against the wall in shock. It wasn't often Enasi got upset, and when he did it was...surprising. "All of you should be ashamed of yourselves."

--**--**--

The scream echoed far enough for Harper to hear from his own check through the halls. That, and him having rabbit ears. It sounded pretty serious, and from where he was there was an unsettling amount of negative energy. His first thought was of the Nightmare Guardian, but he realized there had definitely been more than one producing those energies. "You two. Follow me." Harper spoke with an urgency as he bounded down the hall with haste. The two soldiers had a difficult time keeping up with him at first, but soon enough caught up.

>>>>>>>

Rue's screaming had died down almost the instant he felt the Dream Guardian get closer. He stayed in his hiding spot, cowering lower just in case one of the soldiers figured out where he was and decided to grab him. In fact, one did spot the child. Mado stepped forward, planning on grabbing Rue, but was suddenly interrupted by the door swinging open. Haru prepared to attack and silence the person who burst inside, but immediately paused when he saw that it was Crios.

The door swung open, hitting the wall and Crios glared as the three doctors tried to hurriedly snatch up the broken pieces of the needles, along with the bag that was cut open. "Imbeciles... What made you think this plan would actually work?" His tail twitched in frustration. When he stepped forward, the three stepped away from Seishu, looking away from his menacing glare. Of course, Iro was the one to speak up in defiance. "That monster shouldn't be allowed here! He's nothing but trouble and is a Nightmare!"
Crios stepped forward again. "I don't care who or what he is. Lord Enasi specifically told us to take care of him. You deliberately disobeyed him, therefore, you are wrong. And as the head of this medical staff, all three of you are stripped of your doctoral status. If I can't trust you to follow simple orders, there is no way I would trust you with my patients."
"Wait, what!?" Shasta started, but silenced when Crios looked at her. "And Harper isn't going to be anywhere near lenient with you two." Crios said, not even glancing over at Haru and Mado.

"You can't-!" Iro was interrupted by a small gasp when Enasi walked into the room. There was an unnerving calm air as the Guardian entered the room. He didn't look at Seishu, nor did he look at Rue who popped out of his hiding spot happily. "Get out." There was a hidden anger under the surface of his voice, but above it was a tremendous calm. Those two words were all it took to get the five scrambling out the door to the group. There was a silent pause that lasted for a few minutes as the four remained in the room. Even Crios stood still until he was given a command. With a strained sigh, Enasi looked up, surprisingly apologetically. Doing the unexpected, Enasi humbled himself and bowed. "I am truly sorry for my minions' actions... I did underestimate their timing and their quantity. They will be dealt with accordingly... And I'll put up the barrier now."

His words were met with frustration, not because he had to apologize, but due to his own dreams and minions' stupid decisions. When he stood straight, he didn't meet anyone of their eyes. He turned in fact and headed to the door. "Crios, please check the two to make sure they aren't hurt."
"Of course sir." He stated and watched the guardian walk out the door. When the door finally closed, Crios sighed and walked over to reorganize the materials. "Are you two okay?" Before Seishu could respond, he added on, still in mid cleaning. "I'm sure all that negative energy got your health up some. Right?"

<<<<<<<<<<

The group was still accounted for, and still in fear of what would happen to them. When their Guardian walked out the door, all eyes immediately went to the floor. "I can not believe you all. I've given you all too much credit. Some of you are doctors and soldiers. You all should know the idiocy of why you did!"

"Sir!? What's going on? Why is there so much commotion?!" Harper had finally made it to see Enasi interrogating a group, some being his soldiers. Without looking at the rabbity, he spoke. "Conspirators. Every last one of them... They have put shame to my name and this Realm. We would probably be the ones considered as monsters.." That was all it took for Harper to get caught up. Immediately, Harper spotted the few soldiers that partook in the events. "Oh, even some of my men were involved. If that's the case...don't worry about them, I have a decent punishment for soldiers of the army. It'll be much worse than their training camps..." The soldiers gulped and were ordered to follow one of the guards that accompanied Harper.
"The rest of them can spend time thinking about their actions." Harper nodded and sighed. "To the dungeon it is. You heard Lord Enasi. If you decide to disobey him for a second time, consequences will be much harsh."

The group quickly followed after the second guard. Iro walked over to Enasi, head bowed and hands shaking some. "S-Sir? What will become of us? We meant no harm to the kingdom! We were trying to purify it like it was once before." Enasi looked at Iro and crossed his arms. "And you thought it was pure to kill someone?! You all will be in the jail room for awhile... Think about what you've done..." He left no room for complaints or begging. "All of you should of thought about this before you went against my law." Enasi turned to the door that held the Nightmare Guardian and the other two inhabitants of the realm.

The group had left and Enasi sighed. 'What kind of ruler am I if I can't keep anyone in line? If no one will listen, how am I suppose to rule?' Quietly, Enasi went to work putting up the barrier as he promised. His hand glowed with the bright energy as he touched the doorknob. Just as it glowed, it seemed to fade in the same instant. "There, that wasn't so hard." Instead of going inside, Enasi walked off, down the hall toward the ones who had been placed in custody. When he got there, he was bombarded with cries and pleas. "I've made my decision... I'm not going to let you all soil this realm's name. Nor will I let you pollute others. You will remain here until... Until I believe you've learned a lesson. And once I believe you have, all of you will have to earn your titles back. If you chose not to, you will live in the city with the normal dream realm civilians." Of course he earned groans, cries, and various protests, but Enasi sighed and turned away.

It appeared he had to put his foot down now, so that's what he did. The anger died down, and then the guilt and worry settled while he was pacing the halls of his large home. Now, he needed to check on Rue and Seishu. It seemed he was back to his normal self, more or less. The guardian quickened his pace to the room and took a deep breath to calm down. Quietly, he opened the door to the guarded room. Instead of speaking first, he looked at Crios as if saying 'Are they okay?'

As soon as Rue's scream fades Seishu draws up the negative energies around him and puts up a barrier. An instant later the other guardian's positive energy crashes against the dark shroud surrounding him and he lets out a sigh of relief. 'Soooo glad I made it in time. That would have hurt worse than losing both eyes to a flamethrower' Chuckling at the vision of Iro having just that happen to him his smile widens at the door bangs open and a familiar form stalks in, flames jumping from his lower half. The frantic scramble about the bed to hide what was about to happen is almost as a musing as the looks on the medics' faces. 'Ah, this is priceless. Almost worth the assassination attempt' A wicked happy feeling burns deep down inside as the idiots get stripped bare not only of their titles, but of their pride and honor. 'Oh, this is tasty' He sits quietly, watching the Dream World Melo Drama unfolding in front of him.

He lets the barrier around him drop as soon as he feels the pressure from Enasi lighten up considerably. The few minutes of silence gives Seishu time to examine the odd sensation he's been having around the other guardian as of late. 'It's almost like I can feel what he's feeling, but not exactly. Like. . .His feelings are influencing mine. I mean, normally, in a situation like this, I'm fairly sure I would feel like gloating, but I don't. . . .' His left eyebrow raises when Enasi bows, and a part of him feels like throwing something at the man to make him stop. However he simply remains silent and let's Enasi deal with things in his own time, for now. He gives a nod before the Dream Guardian turns and walks away. 'Such an odd sensation. I think I need more pain meds now, the rush is wearing off'

As Crios goes about cleaning things up a bit Rue flutters down and lands on the bed right next to Seishu. Ignoring the guardian's flinching and his own queasy feeling the little fairy boy clings to Seishu's wounded shoulder. Both arms wrapped around Seishu's he cries quietly for a while. Letting him be for now Seishu turns his attention to Doc's words. He chuckles lightly in response to the negative energy question. “Yeah, it helped, in fact, it's still helping, and so are you Doc.”

Crios looks at him confused for a moment then looks down at his own lashing tail and the fire flaring about his lower half. He sighs and takes a few deep breaths to relax. Seishu rolls his eyes and Crios gives him a smirk. Coming to the side of the bed where Rue sits, still clinging on to the guardian, Crios carefully pries the boy off so he can examine him. “Why would they do that? I always thought they were nice, I mean, they were always so gentle when treating me when I ran into things from flying too fast in the palace, and Iro even would give me candy if I sat still. This just isn't right, we're suppose to be the good ones, right? Those guys were just being stupid, do they even know what would happen if they killed Mister Seishu? Maybe we just haven't told them enough about the situation, maybe Lord Enasi just needs to tell everyone what's going on, Mayb-” A warm hand on his back makes the little minion pause and he takes several deep breaths.

Dropping his hand down Seishu looks to Crios who gives him a faint smile as he finishes examining Rue. “Good.” he murmurs, his whole body tensing as the energies around them almost seem to be fighting one another. “Looks like Enasi's finally showing some good old fashioned leadership out there. Man those guys are upset. I wish I could see their simpering faces.” His voice grows low as he speaks, sounding rather dark. “Of course if they were mine the punishments would be much more. . . .Entertaining.” Out of the corner of his eye he spots Rue looking at him with a brave face. He's obviously trying not to back away from Seishu in his dark mood. He lets out a growling sigh and motions to Crios, who had been just waiting until the guardian was ready for treatment to move in. “Hey, Doc, dope me before I'm tempted to get up and flay those traitorous beasts alive, huh?”

Without hesitation Crios fills a syringe with some of the pain killer, a concentrated version of what was used before he'd been carrying around for the final check-up he'd planned that night. Rue scoots a bit to the side, chewing his lip as he watches his newest friend receive his much needed injection. The solution works quickly and soon he can feel all of his tense muscles relaxing and a less frightening tugging at his lips. “There you are Night. Now we just need some new blankets I think.” Crios says, smirking at the look the nickname puts on Seishu's face Before he can respond though the door to the room opens once again and Enasi comes in. His pointed ears twitch, his heart going out to his beloved guardian but instead of addressing the downhearted man's visage he answers his silent question. “They're fine. I'm not sure how, but neither of them seem to have any new injuries. Night over there needed some pain meds, and needs some new covers, but other then that, they are fine.”

Rue perks up, fluttering up to hover over the bed. He opens his mouth to launch into the tale of just what happened and how they had gotten out without a scratch, but his voice stalls in his throat as he spots Seishu's raised hand. Looking down at the reclined guardian he cocks his head in question. Crios too gives the man a questioning look, but Seishu returned neither of their gazes. Instead his eyes remain locked on Enasi. After a moment he makes shooing motions at the two dream minions, and Crios tries to object. However Rue can sense that it's important so he darts down and politly drags the doctor out of the room and closes the door carefully behind them. “What is that all about?” Crios inquires.

Rues shakes his head. “I don't know, but I've come to trust that, even if he's one of the bad guys, he'll never do anything that isn't necessary. If he wants us out, then we need to be out for now.”

Crios raises an eyebrow at the boy's explanation but trusts the little minion and settles for leaning against the wall beside the door until he's called for. Rue on the other hand begins pacing in the air back and forth in front of the door, his little wings flashing each turn.

~~~~*~~~~
Carefully Seishu sits up a little more, keeping his eyes on his fellow guardian. He sits quietly for a little while before motioning to the chair Enasi seems to favor. As he waits for the other to sit he talks to himself, but loud enough for Enasi to hear. “Well, I really dodged the bullet there. Good thing at least one of the little dream minions around here does what he's told without asking questions. He really has some lungs on him. He could probably help out in battle with a scream like that.” His gaze drops to his hands as he speaks. Lacing his fingers together he taps his thumbs together as he continues thinking aloud. “That was quite a party too. Good thing they aren't very good at the assassination gig or I might be dead now. I'd hate to see what would happen to the balance with Gin over there running things. He's got the strangest ideas of just what our two realms represent. Seems to think that nightmares are evil and meant to hurt people. I almost pity him for that.”
Falling silent his gaze returns to the room's other occupant. He blinks slowly once then lets out a sigh. “He doesn't seem to understand that nightmares are what let humans deal with the pain and negative feelings they encounter in their lives. They are what allow people to get over things more easily. It's what we who thrive on fear, and hate, and loathing are here for. We are here to feed on them so that they no longer plague the hearts and minds they are born in.” A sarcastic but somehow open smile finds it's way to his lips as he looks over into Enasi's eyes. “It's what I live for, Enasi.” A part of him really hopes Enasi takes the hint, and that same part of him, very deep down, actually hopes he can help.
The Guardian gave a sigh of relief to the news that they were okay. He'd remember to get more blankets after the little check up on them. Enasi only wanted to check up on them, to ease his worry, but it seemed like Seishu had other plans in mind. Like the other two, he held a quizzical gaze as the other two were gestured out the door. What did Seishu want with him? Before Rue left with Crios, Enasi tapped his arm gently. "Do you mind getting blankets?" Rue smiled and nodded to the request, taking the doctor out of the room.
When they were out there Crios watched the kid pace in the air. "Weren't you suppose to be getting blankets?" Rue paused in the air, almost forgetting his nearly forgetting about his important task. "Oh! Right! Thank you Crios!" He was so preoccupied wondering what the conversation would be about that he nearly forgot. Without hesitation Rue raced off to get what was needed. Crios on the other hand continued to lean against the wall silently, curios as to what was being said.
~~~~

Enasi never moved from where he stood. Feeling the eyes on him, he looked over at Seishu. There wasn't anything he wanted to say, so he stood there a little awkwardly until the guardian gestured towards the chair Enasi normally sat in. He complied, still silent, and sat in the seat. Seishu started speaking and Enasi leaned against the back of the chair, as usual, sitting with the back of the chair facing him. After a moment and the first thing Seishu said, the Dream Guardian could only muster up an apology. "Sorry... They weren't thinking. But they should get the memo now." His thoughts rolled over the possibilities of the balance being broken. Not only that, but having to deal with Gin as a ruler. By the sound of it, this nightmare seemed to be a hassle alone.

His eyes fell toward the floor as it went silent once more. "They are what allow people to get over things more easily. It's what we who thrive on fear, and hate, and loathing are here for. We are here to feed on them so that they no longer plague the hearts and minds they are born in." Nightmares weren't evil... They never were. And yet, somewhere deep down, Enasi knew that. He knew Seishu wasn't evil and he knew the purpose of his counterpart and his realm. But the centuries of always tagging the other as an enemy had stuck. Why? The answer was never found, and Enasi just went with what was normal.

A soft snort escaped from Enasi as he looked up at Seishu. He was leaning forward against the chair, pushing himself back and forth. "You live for this?" He couldn't help the small smirk that appeared on his face. "Well, sitting around injured isn't going to get your realm back you know." To Enasi, Seishu's words seemed like a plea for help. Well, not so much a plea, but it did sound like he was asking for help... to an extent. "Sitting here won't help you, but going back only to be unsure of who still follows you could be worse. Sure you have Kaila, but that wouldn't be enough against an army..." Stopping himself from going back and forth, he moved side to side, but that pattern eventually stopped and he returned to the original one. "Maybe I could help? Of course I can't just send an army to your Realm...but I think you may need all the help you can get." His offer was light hearted, and he shrugged afterward. If Seishu didn't want his help, he wouldn't pester. He'd just continue the treatments until he was ready to go back. Enasi couldn't help but return Seishu's smile with one of his own. Though, the smile was short lived as Enasi's glance averted back to the ground.

~~~~
Rue had returned with two blankets and two new pillows. The reason it took longer was because the small boy had to walk in order to carry the items. Seeing the child carry so much, Crios chuckled. "You only needed to get one blanket." Rue grinned brightly. "Well yeah, I know, but I thought Master Seishu would want an extra to be extra comfortable!" The doctor only rolled his eyes, not out of annoyance, but wondering how Night could deal with the ball of exploding joy all day.
--*---
There was a moment's silence between the two as Enasi thought over what Seishu said. Something then clicked, and he glanced up with a slightly confused expression. "You weren't talking about that were you?" His eyebrow raised in curiosity. Was Seishu telling him to relax? Before Seishu could answer the first question Enasi spoke again. "Oh, no. I don't think I can do that." He shook his head, giving a rather innocent look. "I...wouldn't know how. Voluntarily at least." Even Enasi had to admit he was a tad clueless sometimes.
Seishu sits quietly, a calm look on his face. However on the inside he begins banging his head against a wall. 'He really is the most CLUELESS guy I've ever met. How can a guy like him run an entire realm, I ask you, how!? Then again, I'm not actually completely sure I can help him. I don't absorb his emotions the way I do the others. But, I think if he can direct them to me, we may be able to get SOMEWHERE here. I can see the tangled mess in there now, and he really needs to do something about it' The silence begins to stretch a bit and Seishu resolves to just flat out smack the guy, verbally if not physically, if he can't figure out what Seishu's offering. 'I know why I'm offering, but this feel weird, and if he makes me actually say “Let me help you” I'm going to just barf' His eyebrow twitches at the thought, but finally the other man's head comes up again.
A smile comes to his lips, one that isn't exactly friendly, but it isn't threatening either. 'Ah, this is priceless. I can't resist' With a faint cough, his smile still in place he gives Enasi a rather amused look. “You don't know how? Well now, when you say it like that you make it sound much more intimate than I was thinking. It's almost like you think I was asking for sex.” He's careful to not look mean as he adds, “I was only thinking about having you vent, but if you think sex will help you to channel out all that confusion, frustration,and stress, I suppose we could give it a go.” His tone is completely serious as he keeps his gaze locked on his counterpart. His eyelids drop to half mast and he murmurs half to himself, “I suppose it would be a rather unique experience. . . .” He keeps his gaze steady, not moving a muscle as he waits.
~~~~*~~~~

Down in the barracks Harper paces slowly back and forth in front of the few soldiers involved in the assassination attempt. The rest of the party is locked securely in the jail cells one building over as Lord Enasi instructed, but Harper is determined to find a more fitting punishment for his own men. 'I'm sure that being locked away and stripped would be very unpleasant, but these are my men. I trust them to watch my back in battle, to follow my orders. That they did such a thing, knowing very well that it is against out lord's wishes to do so. No, they need something else' The silence from their commander makes the soldiers more uncomfortable than if he's been yelling at them. Something about the quite sets them on edge, but they refrain from looking to one other, or moving at all for that matter. However, beads of sweat begin appearing on their foreheads and they all mourn internally at their plight.

At last he stops, his gaze turns to look from one set of uneasy eyes to the next. He turns, the five soldiers before him seeming to come even more to attention than before. He trails down the line with his sharp glare to the one on the far left. “Mado.”

“Sir yes sir!” the dream bear says on reflex.

“Mado, do you believe that what you intended to do was right and for the good of the realm?” His voice is cool but open, He want's the dream's honest answer.

Mado nods, “Sir, yes sir.”

Harper repeats the question down the line, and each soldier gives the same response. The rabbit man lets out a long sigh, a very tired look crossing his features. “You are all fools.” He says softly. His eyes snap up, all signs of tiredness gone from his visage. “I can not have fools in my army. You are all hereby stripped of your titles, ranks, and powers you have earned.” The decision is met with looks of hurt and disbelief. His glare however keeps them all silent. “I will try to rectify my mistake of letting fools into my army be retraining you. The training will be three times as harsh as the first time around,since obviously it wasn't good enough.” A smirk pulls at the corner of his moth, exposing his pearly white front teeth as he adds, “Though, the army is voluntary. If you do not want to undergo the training, you may leave now. However, this will mean that you are unwilling to follow the laws of this realm and you will join the others in the jail until Lord Enasi sees fit to release you. Afterward you will be unable to re-join the army at any time in the future, because I will know from your reluctance I can't trust you.”

Returning to his pacing Harper clasps his paws behind his back and continues speaking. “Should you decide to take up the training, know that along with being much more difficult, there will be extra training. It will be hard, fierce, and most of all, educational. I may even ask Seishu for some pointers, since his army seems to be for better trained than my own.” He recalls vividly how with just simple hand motions how the Guardian's second held complete control over his team. 'Perhaps I should ask Lord Enasi is I can make a team like that. It would mean less work for me in the long run' Stopping once again he turns to those assembled and barks, “So, what is it going to be? Who will step up and pull their heads out of their backsides?”

Seishu's smile was returned with a tentative look. It just seemed like he was up to something. And the Guardian was right- sort of. Venting? Intimacy? ...Sex? Each word seemed to make Enasi's cheeks darken in embarrassment. "I don't- uh, normally-!" He was going to say something about the venting, but then the Nightmare practically offered sex and- and...! If he wasn't confused before, this surely sealed the deal. Sitting in silence wasn't going to help the awkwardness, but then again neither would talking- at least not for the Dream Guardian. The calm expression, facade or not, was replaced with that of surprise and embarrassment. "Did- Did Crios drug you?" That had to be the only logical answer to why Seishu was talking to him like that. The possibility of him actually being serious made him look down quickly, hiding his face behind the chair a little.

'Embarrassing me isn't going to help me you idiot!'

Enasi cursed the fact that he wasn't as subtle about his emotions like others- or like many wanted to tell him, he was just dramatic. With a deep breath to calm himself some, he looked up noticing Seishu still looking at him. He turned his gaze off to the wall, trying to think of how to prepare for any other disasters the conversation might bring about. The color in his cheeks lightened a few shades, but the embarrassment stayed strong. Not once did it occur to the guardian that Seishu might have just been teasing him. But that would just be cruel.

In the many years he lived, the guardian was practically...well, innocent. It was just one of those things that never came up in his lifetime. It...just didn't.

--*****--

Everyone seemed to hold their breath as Harper spoke. Nothing he said was a threat, it was more like a promise. There was an audible gulp from one of the soldiers and another shifted slightly under the rabbit's gaze. The last words rang through their ears. All five stood, contemplating their choices. Would they go into intense training? Or would they sit in jail with the others?
Was it really worth it?

After a few moments, Mado stepped forward. He held a serious look and saluted Harper. "I'm willing to take the training, sir. I've already been stripped of everything...Pride and all. But I will always be devoted to Lord Enasi. I want to redeem myself!" Harper gave a small smirk and only nodded, waiting for whoever else that wanted to return. Two more, a minion and dream, stepped forward and saluted. Those two repeated the words Mado had started with. "Our allegiance is to Lord Enasi."

"Heh, don't think this will lighten your punishment." Harper's arms crossed and he turned to the last two. Before he could say anything the third stepped forward leaving Haku alone. "Are you choosing to back down and never return?" Haku, a dream, crossed his arms, almost in defiance. His eyes narrowed. "I don't think I want to serve a king who doesn't understand his own job... This realm will fall under chaos because of him. That nightmare doesn't belong here- and I stand by it."

Harper took a step closer to Haku, giving a glare. "You can leave this army all you want. But you will not disrespect our guardian in front of me." His head turned to the four who wanted to redeem themselves from their travesties. "And you all should feel the same way if anyone disrespects Lord Enasi." They quickly nodded in response.
Two guards that watched the events escorted Haku to the jail to stay with the other prisoners.

"What a fool..." Harper mumbled and shook his head.

---***~~~

After a few more minutes, Crios sighed. Both Seishu and Rue were perfectly in tact. No harm had come to them and Seishu had the normal injuries. Crios wasn't needed. Paper work could be attended to, or he could go and take a rest rather wasting time standing against a wall. "If they need me Rue, I'll be in my office making sure nothing else needs to be done. Alright?"

The small male nodded, sitting on the opposite wall with the blankets folded in his lap. "I'll make sure they know! If they ever get stop talking..."

The overly cute reactions to his words is almost too much for Seishu. Unsure if this make shim want to vomit or continue teasing Seishu carefully takes a few deep breaths to steady himself. 'At, that was fun. I can't believe he's such a prude. I mean, some of the best dreams out there involve sex. I know, I seen them, I've converted them' As soon as he's sure he's not going to burst out laughing if he opens his mouth the Nightmare Guardian lets out a sigh. His face remains in a calm expression as he waves a hand placatingly at the man practically cowering behind the back of his chair. “Calm down before you explode Enasi, I was only half teasing.” His eyes seem to dance a bit with laughter as he continues. “While for many being sex can be very helpful in raising spirits, I can see you're far too much of a prude on that front. Odd, seeing as sex dreams seem to be many human's favorite kind of dream.”

His voice turns from amused to serious and he fixes the other with a firm look. “I wasn't joking about the venting though. Even if you have no experience in doing it, you need to get acquainted with it quickly or else my presence here is going to do more than inspire a few outgoing minions and dreams into acts of homicide.” Shaking his head his voice lowers and his gaze drops to the covers before him. “I have help keeping my focus. Yes, I am drugged, but it isn't clouding my judgment, it's keeping me from losing my mind. You however are feeling the full effects of the imbalance, and if you can't reach some level of clarity above where you are at now, the scales will begin tipping too far towards the dark.” Hi fixes Enasi with a sharp look. “It's not that hard. Just tell me everything that's bothering you. I promise not to pick on you. . .Best I can.” Rolling his eyes at himself he bites his lip.

“I can't guarantee I won't have some automated comebacks, or that this will even work, but we won't know until we try, and if we don't try there may be nothing for it. I may have to leave back to my realm simply to keep this one from crumbling down around our ears.” His gaze drops back to the covers and he begins worrying his lip with his teeth in earnest. “I can feel it inside you Enasi, all of it. It's my forte, I can always tell when it's around, but for some reason I can't syphone it off you naturally. Just try for now. Tell me how weird this whole thing is, how much it bothers you that your minions seem so rebellious or confused, and about how much it hurt you that they would do, or at least try to do, something like what they intended to do.” A faint smirk comes to his lips. “I'm not evil, but I never said I was nice either, so if you don't start talking, so help me, I will get up out of this bed and beat it out of you. At least fighting would feel more natural to you when it comes to me, heh.”

Enasi glanced over at him, rolling his eyes. He wasn't a prude... He was only thrown off by the fact that of all creatures, the Nightmare decided to offer. But obviously there was no use in complaining, they would just end up having an argument on who was right. He sighed, relieved that Seishu was only teasing... Well, half teasing. "Why are we having this conversation...?" He mumbled, lowering his chin to rest on his arm. His eyes stayed on the blankets as Seishu continued. He didn't have to look at him to tell he was completely serious. Again, Seishu had been right about something. It might have been obvious, but Seishu noticed the inner war going inside of the Dream Guardian. There were times he felt like he would explode, or even faint, but like normal for the sake of his minions and dreams, he pushed the feelings aside.

'Just tell him what's bothering me he says. Like it's easy to talk to your supposed enemy.... You dumb jerk.' Enasi starts to speak against his teasing, but paused as he noticed the worry Seishu held. He sat up once again, and ruffled his hair some. It couldn't be that difficult to just say one or two things that bothered him. "Evil or not, you're still mean." There was a pouty tone to his voice, but eventually he sighed. Silence fell between them as Enasi sat quietly and contemplated the idea. Talk to Seishu. 'It's easy... Just talk to him. Like I'd talk to Harper sometimes... Just. Talk.' There was 'conflict' written all over his expression. Enasi's eyes travelled to the door. He could still sense Rue sitting outside, but it appeared Crios had left. With a soft sigh, Enasi turned facing him with a brave face.

"Fine. I'll cooperate." Even as he said it, he fell silent once again. This time, he was just trying to figure out where to begin. A few things wouldn't hurt... "I thought... I thought I had a pretty decent hold over my realm. Everything was fine... And then you came along and everything started going downhill." He paused for a moment before he continued. "There has never been rebellion. Even small ones. It's been a harmony. It made me believe that everything was okay. No one ever said anything so I assumed it was...well okay." His fingers tapped on the chair. He had fully prepared to stop there, but for some reason, something unexplainable urged him on. "I've been misled and told otherwise... It makes me feel like everyone is hiding something now. It doesn't raise suspicions or anything it's just...not a nice feeling. And I hate to admit it, but lately things have gotten boring around here. Everything is...pretty much the same and it's boring..." As he spoke, Enasi didn't notice the darker energies seeping away little by little.

"And... I'm confused. You've been around here for a bit to get recovered. At first I was a little annoyed that Rue liked you so much, maybe even-" He paused, not giving Seishu the satisfaction of knowing Enasi could've been a little jealous. "But that annoyance faded after awhile... And yeah you're not the nicest person around... But I don't-" The Dream Guardian glanced down at the covers again. "I don't hate you. Not like how I'm supposed to at least. We were created to be enemies, but ever since the battle I've only thought of you as...well you. But I'm pretty sure if I say that, minions and dreams will have a conniption fit and call me a bad ruler... It's confusing and frustrating because I don't know how to feel, or what I'm feeling and it's so much. Then there's the constant worry of Balance. I have to keep the you happy and healthy, well mainly healthy. But no one seems to realize that until it's too late!" Enasi groaned and hung his head down. "I don't...I don't know. I just want everything to be calm again. But I don't want to be kept in the dark about stuff. It's not right..." A few things turned into a lot of 'few things' and Enasi wondered what else he'd spew out. Instead of saying anything more, Enasi gave a sigh and then shrugged, ending his ranting there.

Oddly enough, he did feel better from simply talking to him, despite the slight embarrassment from actually talking. Another point for Seishu. Why was he being so smart and stuff anyway... Instead of directing his attention to Seishu's expression, his eyes travelled to the floor and then to the bed. He wasn't sure he was fully prepared for the smug look or teasing smirks- but it couldn't have been that bad. Again, he was a bit dramatic- but it wasn't like he'd admit that.
The patterned back and forth of the chair had stopped, and he was completely still. Enasi didn't know what to expect. Maybe a tease here or there, or whatever came next in the venting. But, for now, he waited.

As the silence stretches on Seishu's fingers curl, bunching up the sheets as he prepares to follow through with his earlier threat. Just as his patience for the man reaches it's limit, he speaks. 'Finally! Now maybe we can get some things fixed around here' As he starts talking the Nightmare Guardian tunes this senses on to Enasi and he waits for the feelings to be turned into words. At first nothing happens, but after a few moments he feels it. A faint gasp escapes his lips. The dark feelings pouring, more trickling really, coming from Enasi, feels like the purest and sweetest fruit one can imagine. Shivers run up and down his spine and he has to hold back a groan as it seems to work out several kinks he's had for days. 'It's so pure, so good, like the sweetest nectar' His eyelids droop as the pleasure travels around him, the dark energy well inside him filling in such a way that he feels a new kind of pleasant tingle he's never felt before. 'I guess when you get it from the source, positive and negative energies take on a whole new feel. Or, maybe it's because we're from the same race? We were selected for this duty, and after the transformation we couldn't be more different about what we represent, but we did both come from the same place. Our race, what of it I can remember, are all able to sense and control feelings'

Rolling his eyes back a long smile finds it's way to his lips at the refreshed feeling inside him. His wounds still throb dully so he knows the energy doesn't help there, but Enasi's dark energies are the best pain killers he's had yet. When at last the Dream Guardian is finished talking Seishu lets out a long sigh, a faint crackle of dark energy jumping across his skin. Drawing it all in carefully as to not cause any harm he takes a few minutes to gather his thoughts. 'I have so many comebacks, so many openings to tease him, but. . .' His brows furrow in confusion for a moment, but them smooth out as a wicked smile curls across his face. 'I know exactly what to do' Shifting a bit so he can better face the man, he coughs slightly and takes a breath.

“If we are suppose to hate one another, then I have been doing it wrong for years. Whenever I saw you on the battlefield, sure I was sickened, but I always thought you were quite beautiful. The way you moved always fascinated me. My instincts didn't let me watch for long, but I always felt I wanted to watch just a little longer.” He watches, an innocent a smile on his face as he can manage, as the faint trickle of positive feelings begin flowing out of him and over to the man in the swivel chair. 'It's working' “And despite your complete lack of strict control over them, I've always admired how your underlings openly expressed themselves even during battle where one needs focus. The would throw themselves in front of one another, protecting them with such passion, it was always very touching.” The feelings continue to flow like a white stream, curling up Enasi's leg and vanishing behind the back of the chair.

“As for Rue, he makes me laugh. He's very amusing. He also makes me happy. Even though I know you guys are beyond forgiving and all, so after I leave he should be fine, but being looked at the way others do now must be hard on the little guy. I'm actually kinda grateful for the looks though because that's just more negative energy for me to feed on. He's such a good, kind boy, even if his memory is like a sive and I constantly have to put up with the happiness pouring off of him. Especially. . .” A faint sickness washes over him at the nice thing he's about to do for the other, “when he's talking about you. Man, that kid's love and devotion knows no bounds.” He waits a moment then murmurs, “Enasi, look at me.” As soon as he's got the other man's eyes he continues. “I can tell he likes me a lot, but I swear it's because of how much he wants you to relax, or be happy, or not worry, or some foolish nonsense like that, that he decided to stay by my side. I figured out earlier who he reminds me of.”

Rolling his eyes a fond smile comes to his lips, “He's like Kaila, willing to do whatever it takes for the one he's given his all for. The second you decided to care for me until I am well he locked on to that will and has been doing everything in his power to have your will be done. He was ready to charge down and take on each of those dreams and minions single-handedly for you.” He adds softly, “And a little bit because he's come to like me a lot.” Faking a shudder he flashes a final smile before leaning back against his pillows once more. And letting out a long sigh. Most of the positive energy that had seeped into him against his will over the past day has all but vanished from his body, absorbed by the other man, and he's left with the darker side of the feelings thrumming through his body. 'I still like the little guy, but now it feels less foreign. My feelings for him and. . . His thoughts trail off as he looks over to Enasi. He waits quietly to see the effect of his own monolog on the other guardian.

'So that's what it felt like to have a mix of energies...' The new experience was something he could do without. . The little thought made him smile to himself. To Enasi it was a mixture of chaos and confusion. To have imbalance inside, wasn't all that pleasant... Though that part was obvious. His attention, still turned to the ground, grew less and less anxious- and rather calm. He hadn't looked up to see Seishu's many reactions; surprisingly, he didn't suspect it to be anything bad anymore. All of the panic and anxiety seemed to have faded. He felt a lot lighter at heart and deemed that all of his negativity was given away. It was an accomplishment. Seishu got well needed energy and Enasi got to vent, of course he more so focused on the fact that Seishu was healing up.

In the silence of his ended vent, he heard the soft sigh and glanced up. Seishu looked happy, or at least content with the outcome. That was good. If meant he wasn't in too much pain anymore. Enasi didn't have to be hurt to sense the new and fresh traces of negative energy seeping off him. It even went as far as making the Nightmare look rejuvenated. The silence played out as Enasi rested his head back on his arm, and Seishu composed himself to speak. "Don't hurt yourself." He mumbled involuntarily. Despite it being so, in the back of his mind, he did care if Seishu got hurt.

Finally, his counterpart spoke. As soon as he began, Enasi's brow furrowed. "You don't have to l-?" The faint feeling of positive energy cut him short, and he couldn't help but glance at him. 'He's not lying? Wait, Seishu is. . .complimenting me?' As the Nightmare continued, Enasi sat in astonishment and awe as the energies seeped into him. The feeling was phenomenal and oh so pure. It was like a breath of fresh air in such a confined space. The Guardian could beam with joy if he wanted to, but remembered to keep himself calm. 'Is this how Seishu felt? It feels wonderful! That smile makes sense.' For a brief moment, the Dream Guardian had forgotten that his counterpart was talking, being too delved into the wholesome energy. 'With energy that isn't used as often, of course it would be so nice.'

He refocused to listen about Rue. A soft smile crawled on his features as he talked about the kid. The kid was always good company for him, so it wasn't too much of a surprise when Seishu admitted to enjoying his company as well. Though it was a little surprising to know Rue talked about him. It was a little odd considering Rue probably knew that Seishu didn't too much need the information. 'He is such the oddball.' That was Rue though, and he couldn't and wouldn't ask for anyone else. Rue hanging around Seishu all the time had been a nuisance yes, but Enasi was more worried about him getting hurt. That obviously wasn't a problem.

"Enasi, look at me."

His eyes met Seishu's, showing a curious expression. The Nightmare's smile was somehow contagious, causing Enasi to smile as well. "Rue, being like Kaila...except for the whole dressing alike thing." He teased playfully. Meeting the Nightmare to exchange information was quite odd now that he thought about. Kaila dressed and even styled just as Seishu did. It was almost like a copy, minus the minor differences of course. "At first glance, it's obvious that he is as devoted to you as my soldiers are to their fighting." He kept his gaze on Seishu as he laid back and finally stopped speaking. When Seishu looked over at him, Enasi averted his gaze, only to look at him again. That time it wasn't out of embarrassment; however, he couldn't really say why he did so.

Both speeches ended, and Seishu waited for him to speak. Enasi mulled over his words a couple of times, just to take in the compliments all over again. It was just too nice to pass up, and he doubted the opportunity would come around again. A comfortable silence grew this time as Enasi tried to figure out what else to say. Every now and then, it would seem like he'd form words, but they'd quickly be abandoned and replaced with a soft sigh.
"...I'm..kind of surprised it worked." He admitted softly, holding his gaze on Seishu. "But... I'm glad it did." They were comments he thought allowed, only because he wasn't sure what happened from there. It was to fill the silence before it got too quiet, or awkward.

He continued to push the chair back and forth once again, glancing down at the symbol on his hand. The two opposites... They weren't as different as one would think. His attention turned to the door when he noticed Rue's energy had dimmed. 'He must've fallen asleep out there.'
"So. How do you feel?"

~~~<>~~~<>~~~
Crios had kept himself busy by filling out paperwork, and checking on the patients. Luckily, thanks to the intense care, all of the ones suffering from injuries of the battle were pretty much healed up. Rest was all they needed at that point. He gathered himself and decided to check on the guardians. It had been several minutes- going on half an hour even, since he had been told to leave. If they were still talking, Rue might have still been waiting at the door. "Poor kid. I might as well give him something to do."
After the drama of before, Crios had assigned Fuan some new help. She didn't need to work alone, that was unprofessional. Anyway, when he walked back to the hall were Seishu resided, he noticed Rue comfortably laying on the blankets and pillows he was suppose to be giving to Seishu. With a shake of his head, Crios scooped up the blankets, pillows, and Rue all together. Just as he headed to the door, it opened.
~~~

After the two had finished speaking, Enasi had occasionally felt that weird sensation of their energies mixing. It wasn't painful and it was never voluntary. The symbol on his palm had tingled every time it happened.
"Um... I'm going to go check on things." He slowly stood from the swivel chair and walked to the door. There was finally a point where neither had anything to say- well, at least Enasi ran out of things to say. Just as he opened the door, Crios walked in. "Delivery for Night over there. Blankets and pillows. Heh, and it comes with your own Rue." Enasi smiled, laughing a little as Rue stayed asleep, only getting comfortable on the bed.

"Alright, you be nice now." He started to walk out and then laughed softly. "I was talking about you Crios." A small smirk formed on the fox's lips but he quickly spoke up. "Sir, I'm going to need...your assistance with this next procedure for this guardian."
Enasi paused at the door to give a confused look. "You need my help? For?" With a slightly amused grin, Crios looked at Seishu. "Physical therapy. He can't lay on his ass all day and night. His wounds have healed up, and," Crios paused, checking Seishu's wounds. He gave no warning when he had to lift Seishu's shirt, or lift the covers. The doctor was careful and precise, and thankfully did ask him to remove his pants to see the wounds on his leg.

Enasi had turned his attention toward the door at that point and waited for him to finish. Many questions of "Does this hurt?" or "Where is the most pain?" had come up, but in the end Crios still determined physical therapy was needed.

"Why am I needed?" Enasi inquired (after Seishu had his clothes back on). "Because you're the only one, besides Rue, who will tolerate his curses. And just in case he gets hurt, you'll be able to counter his accidental lashings."

With a chuckle Seishu can't help but murmur, “Of course it worked, I'm the one who suggested it.” However his tone isn't arrogant or mocking, just very matter-of-fact. Humming lightly he reaches down, stroking his thumb over the symbol on the back of his hand. 'Two halves of a whole, but whole beings to begin with. I wonder how the powers worked that' Glancing up He replies softly. “I feel like I just got done with the best after party ever hosted, and came out on top.” The with a snort he adds, “Oh, and I've told Kaila a thousand times to stop copying me like that, but at the same time I have a standing rule that anyone can dress however they like, so I'm never going to win that argument.” A slow smile makes it's way to his lips. “However, I just imagined Rue dressed up just like you and I have to tell you, you two would make a sexy pair, heh.” He chuckles lightly as Enasi turns to leave and his smiles stays in place as Crios walks in with the gift bundle.

“Oh goody, just what I've always wanted, a Rue all of my own.” The sarcasm is thick in his voice but none the less he suppresses his energy and helps him get comfy on the bed. Tucking a pillow under his head covered in a soft little mop he grabs one of the new blankets and drapes it over the small figure. As the Doc speaks a curious expression crosses the Nightmare Guardian's face and he turns his questioning eyes towards the rather amused looking dream. He only growls lightly when Crios prods at his shoulder wound. 'He's got that “I'm a professional” look in his eye. Wait, did he say what I think he did?' A rather odd expression creeps on to his face and he acts automatically when Crios asks him to remove his pants. His leg wound protests, but after the pain killers and the dose of Dream Guardian dark side he barely feels it.

He simply shakes his head, looking over at Enasi as more and more thoughts pour through his head. 'This, should be entertaining. I might even be able to see that frightened look on my dear counterpart's face again. . .' Waving his hand over the hole in his pants he spares a bit of energy to repair them before pulling them back on. Crios gives him a disapproving look and he just looks back with the vaguely blissful and mischievous look taking up residence on his face. When the doctor finishes explaining himself Seishu can't help but add in a quite, as to not wake the sleeping boy, but sarcastically grand none the less, “Yes, indeed, oh protector of the ream! Come, lay hands on me and may I be healed!” He laughs silently and doesn't even snap at Crios when the tailed man smacks him in the back of the head and mutters that he's being silly.

“I swear, you have a way of making things sound indecent even when there was no intention of it, don't you?” Crios inquires and Seishu simply smiles back at him. “I had the feeling. . . However, stop trying to tease people here, especially your equal. You are just lucky that Lord Enasi is nice enough to let you stay here where the best medical care is available at all times. He could have set you up in a house outside the walls where I would have to commute.” Rolling his eyes Seishu looks back to Enasi and waits patiently.

'Physical Therapy' That couldn't be too bad right? Then his mind flashed over the things he'd probably have to help Seishu do. 'Walking, helping him stretch, there was also swimming as an activity. . . The Dream Guardian's mind wandered on about the different types of treatments. It only sounded like more and more reason for him to say no. Every suggestion sounded too up close and personal with the Nightmare Guardian. But for the sake of Crios, and to help Seishu heal, he decided to just go along with it.

Enasi had turned his head a tad too early, and saw the hole in Seishu's leg. His nose wrinkled in distaste, but he turned his gaze away once more until they had finished. Once they did, the guardian took to leaning against the wall and awaited his instructions from the doctor. Seishu's comment only made him roll his eyes, but him being smacked caused him to stifle a soft giggle. "That's not even the half of it Crios. And it's alright, there's no need to waste your breath on him. That's not going to get him to stop." Enasi knew Seishu well enough to know that an order from a dream was the last thing he'd follow- unless it pertained to his survival.
"What do you need me to do?" Enasi asked, implying that he agreed to help.

"The first task should be easy enough." Crios stepped back, and toward the door to push it open it more. "But then again, since you're so equal to Lord Enasi, I'm sure you're strong enough to get up and walk toward the door." Enasi didn't know if Crios was doing this for the sake of helping Seishu, or as some sort of pay back. The doctor caught the raised brow expression from his guardian and chuckled. "Don't fret. There's a method to my madness. I thought it would be courteous to leave Rue in peace. It's not often you see him asleep. Besides, he's had a rough day." Enasi smiled and nodded, then put his hand out to Seishu. Even still, Enasi knew Crios was probably messing with the male as well.

"Well? Come on. There's no time to waste. He does have a realm to get back to." It was obvious Crios was thoroughly enjoying the teasing towards the male. Enasi chuckled softly and let him. He was doing no harm, so it wasn't all that bad. "You heard the doctor." Enasi put his hand out for the Seishu, in case he needed the support. "Lord Enasi, try not to help him too much when he starts walking. He has to be able to support himself more than lean against you." Crios instructed in a more serious tone. The Dream Guardian nodded still waiting for Seishu.

Glancing over at the sleeping boy Seishu mentally agrees that it would be good for him to get some sleep. 'He did a good job today' The dreams light jabbing at him does little to the guardian's pride, but when Enasi seemed to get much amusement over the current state of affairs his old rivalry spark flares up. 'Ah yes, very amusing, seeing your underling try and bruise my ego. Well, you may not be as innocent as you seem, but there is no way I'm coming out of this on bottom. Figuratively is not literally. Being on the bottom can be fun after all. . . .' Suppressing a chuckle Seishu pushes the covers aside and shifts his legs over the opposite side of the bed from Rue. He lets the pain trickle through him softly as he pushes himself up on to his feet and starts shuffling slowly around the bed.

He stumbles slightly and gives them both a warning growl and glare before shuffling forward again. Once he's around to the side where Enasi is he smiles with the little victory. However, his joints are rather stiff so he moves quickly as he can to the other guardian's side. Slipping past the outstretched hand he instead reaches under the man's arm and grips his shoulder. With a smile he slides in to stand hip-to-hip with Enasi, being sure to keep most of his weight to himself. Looking over to Crios he murmurs, “Yes, while I could make it to the door on my own, it would be oh so rude of me not to take the help offered to me by this kind gentleman here. Let it not me said that we of the dark side do not have any courtesy.” With that he motions for Crios to lead the way.

Crios leaned against the entrance, watching Seishu slowly but surely get up. He chuckled when Seishu growled at him and Enasi. "There, there Seishu. No need to be feisty." Enasi only smiled, trying not to laugh too much and upset Seishu. The guardian started to reach for his counterpart, but instead he was forced to hold onto the back of his shoulders. "Um..." Enasi started and watched as Crios raised an eyebrow. "Sure." He said simply and turned out. "Just follow my tail. Heh, do you think you can do that?" Crios smirked and wave his tail behind him as he turned down the hall.
Enasi stayed silent as he helped Seishu follow the doctor. He didn't know what to say, and he was expecting Seishu to say something. The Dream Guardian walked ahead to lead the way.

-*-*-*-*-*-*-
PopeAlessandros

'Is it just me or is something a little off about him today?' Seishu muses. As they get moving though he says aloud, “Is it me, or is that fox man coming on to me?” Shrugging best he can he adds, “I mean, he's cute and all, but I've heard of this thing called, what was it. . . “Doctor Patient syndrome” or something like that. I wouldn't want to accidentally fall in love here y'know. The commute would be such a pain just for a little nooky.” He chuckles softly as the last comment finally gets a reaction out of the Doc.

Looking over his shoulder Crios mutters, “Ha ha, very funny. Little chance of that though, seeing as I would most likely make you ill, and you would most likely make me dead before any “Nooky” could be had Night.”

Seishu's rolls his eyes but doesn’t respond. Instead he focuses on the body pressed against his side. 'Y'know, it's strange. Ever since we did that thing, I haven't really felt that need to smack him I normally have. I can still sense little flicks of his emotions, but now it's just. . . More peaceful' Unable to resist he flexes his fingers, shifting his grip on the other male's shoulder. 'I wonder where his sensitive spots are. Should be fun looking while he's forced to be “At hand” heheh'

-*-*-*-*-*-*-

Enasi blinked and then cleared his throat when Seishu asked the question. Crios? Hitting on Seishu? There was a light tint of embarrassment to his cheeks, but it faded quickly when Crios defended his actions. Thankfully, Crios didn't egg the comment on. Instead he ended it.

"Just try not to fall in love with my doctor. I do need him you know." Enasi commented.

When Crios got the last word, a small smirk fell on his lips as he continued ahead of the two. If he hadn't ended the conversation, Enasi was sure Seishu would find more than a few ways to make the guardian feel awkward. "I don't know how you do it Lord Enasi- dealing with him all the time, but that is why you're the Dream Guardian." Enasi continued walking at the painfully slow pace, watching as Crios glanced back every now and then. Enasi gave a small shrug toward the doctor's comment and continued.

"Would you mind picking up the pace sir? I think Night has gotten comfortable at that pace."

"Oh. Oh, sure." Enasi complied and moved a little faster. For some reason, being so close to Seishu didn't bother him like it always did. Normally, he'd be trying to keep his distance but now it seemed the other was rather calm. Enasi slowed when he felt Seishu's grip shift. He assumed the guardian needed to readjust and get comfortable again. "Are you okay?" He asked, oddly polite and completely unaware of Seishu's true intentions.

-*-*-*-*-*-
PopeAlessandros

Seishu lets out a little whine as the new pace pulls at his leg wound. The pain makes it's way through the painkillers and he can feel his energy slip slightly. Taking a deep breath he settles the flare and growls out little tune to help him relax. It's a light sounding tune, used as a lullaby for young minions by those who run the nursery. Seishu would spend hours just watching the little ones from time to time and the tune had always helped him to unwind. His foot catches slightly on a bit of carpet and Seishu takes the opportunity to do a little exploring. His hand slips from Enasi's shoulder as he stumbles slightly. His palm runs gently but firmly down the other man's back in one smooth motion and ends up on Enasi's hip where he takes a firm grip.

Shifting to regain his balance he presses a little closer to Enasi for a second before shifting back. “Damn shoddy carpentry work on that. . .Carpet back there.” He murmurs, keeping his eyes forward as he walks his fingers up Enasi's back until he can get a grip on his shoulder again. From the moment he began to stumble Seishu kept an ear out for any changes or shifts in Enasi that might serve as hint that he may have found something.

-*-*-*-*-*-
AkiBlue

Enasi returned to the slower pace as Seishu growled. But as he did, Crios called out to them. "No, no. Don't slow down. He has to overcome the pain." It wasn't in Enasi's nature to so cruel and force pain upon anyone. He hesitated, but once again quickened his pace. Crios nodded and continued down the hall.

"That was a...nice song." Enasi commented softly. The guardian held his calm as Seishu tried and regained his balance. There was no need to catch him him because he grabbed onto his hip. As Seishu's hand searched for a former grasp, Enasi stiffened when his hand passed over his lower back. It only lasted for a brief second because Seishu's hand went back to his shoulder. In that brief second there was a small surge of energy, mainly out of surprise. The guardian kept his eyes forward and let out a soft sigh. "Um, where exactly are we going Crios?"

The fox looked back at them. "No where in particular. Maybe around this hall and then back."

-*-*-*-*-*-
PopeAlessandros

A slow smile finds it's way to the Nightmare Guardian's lips. 'Found a spot. Logging it away' The faint surge of energy from the other male causes a faint purr of triumph deep in his chest and a vague question comes to his mind. But first, he decides to divulge a little. “Yes, it is a nice song. I know the words and can sing it some time. I have a fairly nice voice if I do say so myself. You may even like the lyrics, seeing as we sing it to babies and children in the nursery.” Humming softly he feels the stiffness in his knees threatening to make them buckle, but with a bit of effort he remains mobile as they take the next corner.

With a sideways glance Seishu purrs again and murmurs, “I wonder what it would take you hear you purr.” He lets the question hang in the air for a moment, watching the other guardian's face. Before Enasi can respond though, he goes on. “I know you can, since I can. You can also growl for that matter, but I suppose such primal parts of yourself aren't something you're interested in?” He hums again, biting his lip before continuing. “I have some old volumes about our race I've been reading. Maybe after this is all done, I can lend them to you. Gets me off the hook for returning them, heh.” Almost as if on cue his knees give out. His free hand whips around to get a grip next to the other one and a harsh growl tears out of him as the motion sends a searing pain through his shoulder.

Turning his face away from the Doc, Seishu gives Enasi a “Tease me and die” look before dropping his head onto his shoulder and letting out a tear at the sudden shocking pain. Crios starts to move towards the two guardians, but a black whip shaped dark stream of energy lashes out and smacks into the ground at his feet. Seishu's voice grinds out, fierce and low, “You will give me a moment Doc unless you want to find out what your lower intestine tastes like.” As soon as the threat is out his anger fades and all he feels is the burning pain in his shoulder.

"Maybe you should. It would be nice to hear something not so sexual or devious from you." Enasi said with a small grin as they continued forward. His small tease was quickly replaced with embarrassment once again. 'He must really enjoy doing that...' After a moment, he responded. "I never said I couldn't. Growl or purr, I've never needed- or wanted to." The guardian quickly added, murmuring. "I don't see why you care." Enasi was well aware of what he was capable of. The only reason he never purred or growled was because he was never angry enough to growl out... And he was never in a situation...that caused him to...well, purr.

Instead of dwelling on what would probably make him growl or purr, his thoughts were interrupted by Seishu's falling. Instinctively, Enasi grabbed his hips, quickly moving his hands to his sides and caught him. "Whoa." In the process of catching him, Enasi had to make sure he didn't fall forward as well. The guardian caught the silent 'message' and obliged, staying completely silent. Surprisingly, even as Seishu lashed out, Enasi stayed calm. For some reason, he trusted him enough to know that Crios wouldn't get hurt. The Dream Guardian stands at the ready and slowly moves his hands off Seishu's sides.

Crios stayed in his place. The doctor was smart enough to know when he needed to hold his tongue. Even though he wasn't phased by the threat, he still turned away and continued to guide the two.

The burning sensation flares and wanes. The tugging pain in his leg throbs slowly. “Man, my own sword. I made that sword. I loved that sword, and he just took it. Yep, right out of my hand. Quality blade that, sliced through like butter. Fine sword, prolly being used to carve it's swath through the loyal ones. Yup! Well, if that black hearted bastard isn't too lazy to go out and do a little of the slaughtering himself.” Wiping his cheek on Enasi's shoulder he glances up at his counterpart. For an instant the look in his eyes is haunted, but in a flash he simply looks strained. “Bat habit that, talking to myself. Kinda a side effect of how much time we of the darker side spend with the mentally unstable, and let's not forget, criminally insane.” Shaking his head he lets out a sigh, the pressure on his hips lifting as Enasi lets him go.

'His hands were warm' Letting out a whining groan he shifts back into position so that the slow funeral march can continue. Without warning he says with a smile, “I've decided. Before I leave back to my realm for good at the end of all this, I am going to make you give in to your primal side and you will purr and growl for me.” His voice is very matter of fact. “No matter what it takes, I will find a way.” Glancing over at Enasi he adds, “By the way, that shade you turned earlier was just lovely.” His voice catches at the end and his eyes drop down for a second as he bite back a growl.

-*-*-*-*-*-

Enasi raised an eyebrow as he began rambling. What he was talking about went past the guardian, but nonetheless, he let him speak. "I don't mind it. I'm not quite sure what you're talking about, but I don't mind. If it helps, then go ahead." He gave a small shrug. His hands hovered by his sides, waiting for Seishu to relax. He couldn't help but smile softly toward his whining. 'That's...kind of cute.' One hand returned to his shoulder as Seishu started the slow walk again. "You sure you don't want to take a break? You've gotten pretty far." Though, as he said that, he realized they were nearing his room so Seishu might as well continue.

"What makes you think I will just allow you to." Enasi spoke defensively. '...you will purr and growl for me.' That echoed in his head longer than it needed to. Seishu always had a way with words... Not being in the best way either. "My question still stands... Why do you care about my primal side?" Being the worrier he was, he paused to make sure Seishu was okay. Seeing that it wasn't anything too serious besides the same injuries, he carried on.

-*-*-*-*-*-
PopeAlessandros

A wicked smile curls Seishu's lips at Enasi's defensiveness. 'That's a good response. The fire will help. And . . .' “Oh, I don't expect you to 'allow' me to do anything in this regard. However, my dear other half,” His voice drops to a low murmur. “The fight is half the fun, remember? If you made it easy on me, there would be no point. I'll just have to come up with creative ways to reach my goals.” Looking to the hand clutching Enasi's shoulder Seishu lets his eyes trail over the black curve. 'And the little white dot, nestled inside, surrounded on every side by it's opposite save for where the eye gazes upon it from above'

His deep musing are interrupted by Crios opening the door to his room and motioning the two towards it. For some reason the doctor feels he doesn't want to interrupt Seishu, finding the insight into the man's workings fascinating. Once they reach the doorway his hand snakes out to grab the frame, bringing them to a stop. Looking around his room he sighs lightly. “As for why it interests me? There are many reason, not the very least of which is your complete lack of interest in why you seem more human than I am despite the fact that we are meant to be complements to one another.” His gaze travels around to look into Enasi's eyes. “Is it you think yourself more civilized than I? Or did they do that to you, make you so your more base urges are hidden away beneath a fog where you never think to look? I do not know the answer to that, and I'm sure you have an answer, but if it is truly the way it is and not just what you think it is is a mystery I intend to solve.”

Slipping away from the Dream Guardian's grasp he leans back against the door fram, his hand still on the other's shoulder. “There are many other reasons, not the least of which are have nothing better to do, I am truly curious about stuff like this, and I simply love the feeling echo I get off of you when I do stuff like this.” His hand slides down, finding that spot again but this time using his fingers to pull more of a response from Enasi before turning to the room and making his way carefully towards the bed. When he reaches the edge of the bed Rue turns to face him in his sleep and with a smile he bends over, reaching out to brush his fingers through his soft locks.

The only response to Seishu was a turning of his head. "Keep dreaming..." He mumbled as they walked through the door. Enasi stopped suddenly, looking over at Seishu. "Wouldn't it be best to have this discussion sitting down?" Seishu continued, declaring that his question was answered with a 'no.' As the Nightmare Guardian explained himself, even Enasi began to wonder the answer. Why had he been so 'human-like'? "I can assure you civility has nothing to do with it..." His voice was low as he defended himself. Enasi wasn't shallow enough to do such a thing. Humans weren't even civilized for that matter. They were always causing wars and always complaining. Enasi didn't respond to the second question. Even he had to admit that it could've been true... Seishu casually displayed all of his emotions and even his primal instincts, but Enasi was more closed in with his own emotions. Whatever created the two might have created them like that...

Seishu left his hold and Enasi slowly let go, watching to make sure he wouldn't fall over again. Confusion quickly turned into that of surprise when Seishu reaches for that spot that had surprised him before. Except this time, it was on purpose which meant he noticed before. A small yet audible noise escaped his lips and he stepped back. As the Nightmare Guardian turned away, he gave scowl, but his voice seemed to leave him.

Crios watched the entire thing with a raised eyebrow, knowing all too well what had just happened. The doctor kept his mouth closed and continued watching as Seishu made his way towards the bed. "Look at that. You made it all the way around. Good for you." The doctor leaned back against a wall and then chuckled. "This was just the beginning though."

-*-*-*-*-*-

Reveling lightly in the fact that he at least pulled some sort of noise from his counterpart Seishu feels too good to have a smart ass remark for Doc. 'That was fun, but I think I need to sleep now. . .' A faint tremble runs through him at the thought of what awaits him, however he slowly makes his way around the bed again and crawls up on to it behind Rue. The boy rolls again, his eyes peeking open for a second and with a smile and a sigh he falls back asleep. Seishu smiles back, reaching up to rub the little one's shoulder fondly before raising the hand to cover a yawn. His shoulder burns from use and with a contented growl the guardian rolls on his his back.

Crios watches the little exchange, behind him his tail curling slowly back and forth. Turning to Enasi he fixes his lord with a hard look. “I notice he's not exactly shy about his affection Lord Enasi, however I am glad you seem to be able to brush them off so easily.” There is an under tone to his voice that sounds a little mischievous but he quickly covers it up with business, and a curiosity of his own. “He needs sleep for now. I'll do a final check in a moment however first.” He glances over to the Nightmare Guardian for a moment before looking back at Enasi. “I have a question. I couldn't help but overhear most of what you two were talking about,” He waggles his ears a bit in explanation. “and if I heard right, you two are from the same race?” His voice is not judgmental, simply curious.

His empty frowns went unnoticed making him sigh and give up. He had this odd feeling that Seishu was probably going to keep messing with him in that manner, which meant he'd try to be more cautious around him. Hi attention turned to Rue, who was surprisingly still peaceful. It was a truly rare sight to see. It even answered the question a few of the dreams and minions had. 'Does he even sleep? That would be a yes. And with Seishu laying next to him, Enasi had to admit it was slightly adorable. It reminded him that even "wild animals" had soft sides. The comparison made him smile in amusement.

"I'm assuming I'm not needed any more. So, I think I'll go get some rest as well." He had no idea the last time he had slept. The guardian didn't feel tired either, but he was sure that as soon as he laid and got comfortable, sleep would hit him like a ton of bricks. Even if time wasn't prominent for the realms, they still had times to sleep. His hand touched the doors handle, still being close by him. Crios' voice prevented him from leaving, and the comment made him inwardly awkward. "Um, of course." The word 'easily' alone had the qualities of being an overstatement. Everything else was too much for him to create an even more blundering response.

Crios saved him from a full response by moving along. Seishu needed sleep, and Enasi would've more than happy to let him. But first, he needed to explain Crios' inquiry. Not many knew the history of the guardians, or how they came into existence, so of course they wouldn't know that Enasi and Seishu were of the same race. "Indeed we are." Enasi released the door and continued. "We were created as an opposite pair. I say opposite because of...well that should be obvious. We're two halves of a whole; that whole being Balance. We're complements of each other."

The doctor listened intently and showed an interest in the news. "Being complementary would give you similar attributes, yes?" Enasi nodded and Crios couldn't help but give a look of curiosity. "What exactly are those similarities?" The two guardians acted so different. Being the doctor, during battles he was always treating patients and never saw the two fight. From interactions as of late, the two only showed the many differences they had. Though, something about their latest interactions had them rather calm. Even the high strung Enasi toned down. The reactions now were just of him not knowing how to deal with such a subject that wasn't very prominent. 'Being with Seishu any longer, he'll either quickly catch on to it, or he'll end up being overwhelmed by provocative acts.'

"Well, one main similarity is are abilities. Those energy whips Seishu created? I can do the same thing. Of course, when we use them they exert opposing energies." What else could the guardian say? His eyes glanced over at Seishu for a brief moment before returning to the doctor. 'There is also the talk of our 'primal sides', but I have yet to have proof of that.' Enasi couldn't think of anything else. For some reason, he felt a little guilty for not knowing what they had in common even though they were suppose to be opposites.

Shifting this way and that Seishu tries to get comfortable against the large pillows, his shoulder burning, and his stomach wound making itself known. 'I think I need a little shot before the doctor goes' Turning his eyes to the doorway confusion creases his brow. 'What the heck are they gabbing about?' Tuning his senses towards the pair in the doorway he catches Crios's question about their similarities. 'Is that all you can think of, really?' Even from his place on the bed Seishu can feel him floundering for more examples for the foxy doctor. 'I guess you tend to have better things to think about. Well, more pleasant things, than you and I's actual meaning to one another, or our origins. I guess I'm just more naturally curious or observant' Making a small noise to catch their attention he turns his gaze to the ceiling and speaks in a voice just loud enough for both of them to hear so he won't wake Rue.

“We are both physically the same, as far as body parts go. Nothing extra like minions, our bodies are very much like humans'. Be both have an instinctual, innate, and deep abiding love for those of our realm, and would do anything to protect them, save for when the actual battle is taking place. A necessary evil that brings us mostly pain.” He lets out a sigh and crosses his arms over his stomach. “We are both so tuned into the Balance that if either of us was to actually strike the other, it would be shaken down to it's very foundations and we would feel it. From what I've read, it would all but tear us apart. Out predecessors tried it once, so much did they hate one another. . . .” Feeling sleep tugging at him a faint wave of dread flows through him and he turns his eyes upon his counter part. “Something I am curious about, Enasi, something I have wondered for a long time now.” His eyelids droop slightly. “Can you dream? Is sleep pleasant for you? Was I the only one cursed with that dreaded place of nothingness? Heh, I bet like the rest of this deal you got the nicer half, but what can one expect, even the higher powers hate me. . .” Before Enasi can reply Seishu passes out and enters the dark empty void once again.

Crios had watched quietly, listening to the observations and results of Seishu's studies that outlined at least a few more of their similarities. 'That all makes a lot of sense. If they are truly suppose to work opposite one another and maintain this “Balance” then this more basic stuff sounds like a good foundation. . .' His ears perk up as he hears the questioning note in the Nightmare Guardian's voice. The question makes Crios slightly queasy. 'Nothingness? Is that what really happens when he falls asleep? That sounds, awful. . .' His gaze turns to his own lord, the distressed look shifting into one of sympathy. 'I've seen Lord Enasi sleep. He almost always has a smile on his lips. Why would Seishu ask such a question? He had to know it would hurt him to know such things. . .' He bites his lip as an answer to his own question comes to mind and he hates how true is seems to ring at the moment. 'Misery loves company, I suppose. . .' The tip of his tail twitches ever so slightly as he watches Enasi closely for a reaction to this revelation.

Noticing the small shifts, and then the soft noise, both turned their heads to face Seishu. Enasi assumed he would've passed out by then, but apparently he was too uncomfortable by the looks of it. "Maybe we should discuss this outside, so he can rest." He was given a nod of agreement and he started to leave out the room. The male stopped in his tracks, followed by Crios and turned back to Seishu as he spoke up. The Dream Guardian listened to him explain a few other similarities the two had, causing him to be curious and yet a little annoyed. The guardian had always stuck to basics, he had always stuck to the books. But Seishu on the other hand, his curiosity made him explore more than just that. He knew way more than the basics... But it probably was a good thing. If they did stick to the basics, keeping themselves clouded and in the dark, the two guardians would've probably ended up as their predecessors and ruined Balance once again.

"Can you dream? Is sleep pleasant for you? Was I the only one cursed with that dreaded place of nothingness?"

Enasi was fully prepared to answer any question he had. . . Except that one. The reality of it hit him like a ton of bricks, and he hesitated, just as he hesitated when he was upset or nervous. He couldn't answer the question due to Seishu's exhaustion, or possibly drugs, caught up to him and swept him away into unconsciousness... Which turned out to be nothingness. It was a horrible thing to think about, that had him feel sick to his stomach.

But the reason was different than Crios would have guessed. 'It must be horrible to have to sleep, only to wake in nothingness... I would know... Enasi thought it was just his own curse for getting the more favored half. He couldn't imagine forcing anyone to suffer a fate like not dreaming. It wasn't a pleasant experience. Of course, over the many years he had been alive, he came to terms with the nothingness. In the lucid nothingness, he always wandered aimlessly or tried to make something happen. The only thing he could ever imagine was humming a song he had heard one of the mothers sing to their child. It was the only thing that reassured him of sleep. In his thoughts of such an ironic curse, he didn't hear Crios quietly calling him.

"Lord Enasi? ...Sir?" With a gentle tap on the shoulder, the Dream Guardian blinked and looked over at the doctor. "O-Oh. Sorry." Crios nodded and then politely gestured him out. "Will you be...okay sir?" The doctor looked pretty concerned, having to keep his annoyance for Seishu's antics at a bare minimum. Enasi nodded and glanced over at him, walking off. "Just a little tired. I'm going to go lay down." The guardian left no room for comments as he walked to his own room. It was large, just as the "king's suite" always was and it was decorated with dark burgundy and gold colors. The room looked unused, but that was to be expected since Enasi slept very little.

He crawled under the covers, hiding his entire form under them. 'Why have I been...so blind towards my counterpart. He knows so much... With a sigh, Enasi yawned. Exhaustion hit almost immediately and he was practically sleep in seconds. That sleep wavered into that familiar nothingness.

This time, instead of the accepted nothingness. He tossed and turned uncomfortably, trying to find that familiar peace...but it never came.

~~~~,~~~
Crios sighed as he watched the guardian leave. There was nothing he could do besides do his job. If he couldn't do anything for Enasi, he at least made sure the male didn't have to worry about his dreams and minions being injured. In the meantime though, the doctor planned out the next therapy session for the Nightmare Guardian.
~As his mind passes from the world of the living the nothingness rushes in to meet him. The darkness is as dreadful as ever, each moment just like the last. He had long ago given up on anything ever changing in this dark, empty place. He wanders back and forth for a few minutes, his footsteps making not a sound. His own breathing is muted in his ears and eventually he plops down and tucks his legs up against his chest.
At least I'm not injured here. . .
That's at least something. . .
with a sigh he looks around without any real hope of seeing anything. Even though he knows there is nothing to find, his curiosity doesn't let him sit for long. Instead after a few quiet minutes he stands and begins wandering again.
Then suddenly, something is different. A faint tingle, familiar but foreign to his dream world, starts in the back of his hand. Looking down his gazes at the mark on the back of his hand. His eyes widen in wonders as it seems to start spinning.
This is impossible. . .
Touching his fingers to the smooth surface of the mark it's obvious that the skin itself is not moving, however when he pulls his fingers back it indeed looks to sill be spinning.
What does it mean. . .?
Then suddenly there is a tug. His arm rises off somewhere to his right and without thinking he turns to follow it. His arm drops back to his side, but he continues walking.
Something is there. . .
I can feel it. . .
It seems so familiar. . .
His feet continue to move, his mind trying to comprehend just what is happening.~
~~~~*~~~~

Rue is roused from his sleep by a sudden influx of unfamiliar energy. He sits bolt up right, his fists coming up ready for a fight. Blinking his eyes rapidly to looks around the room for the source of the sudden rush of energy. He glares into the corners, trying to put on a tough front even as he lets out a huge yawn. Suddenly the energy hit him again and his head whips around to look at the man in the bed beside him. 'It's coming from him? Really? I wonder what kind of energy it is. It's not like the dark stuff that makes me sick, and it's not like the light stuff that makes me happy. . .' Dropping his hands on tot he covers he yawns again and lays back down. 'Well, whatever it is, I can ask tomorrow. I'm sure Mister Seishu can tell me. . .' With that the dream minion falls directly back to sleep with a smile on his lips.

The comfortable plush bed he laid on, his room, and everything else around had all faded away. Once again, the Dream Guardian stood in nothing but darkness. No sound. No movement. Nothing. It was just darkness surrounding him. So many times he tried walking to find something, anything. And every time, he came up empty handed. This time, Enasi decided to stay seated and wait for time to pass. His curiosity had died and he tried drawing circles on what he assumed was the ground. . . Not even that showed.

[i]'Just sit and wait for the time to wake up...'

'I wonder how everyone is feeling right now... Not too many burdens I hope.'

'Harper's intensive training is probably going well too.'

That's how his mind went during the session of nothing. Tangents and spirals. Trying to keep him focused on everything but where he sat.

Instead of his normal thoughts, something else pulled his attention. The symbol on his hand tingled, giving a familiar feeling he knew he felt somewhere before.

Oh great, now I'm going insane in my own mind. I'm hallucinating in a- it's not even a dream... Nyah! What is going on!"

With a deep breath, he calmed down. The one advantage he had with being in the darkness was that he could panic all he wanted to...without worrying everyone. The tingling wouldn't stop, and some unknown force tugged him. Enasi didn't want to look. He didn't want to get his hopes up for something that wasn't there... But the feeling was so familiar...

Enasi tugged his burgundy hair and sat still, being stubborn. He rubbed his hand every now and then as if trying to wipe the feeling away, but of course that never happened. And then, for the first time ever. . .

He heard footsteps.

The simple sound made him look up quickly. He uncovered his face and turned to the sound. The tingling was stronger and harder to ignore. What could possibly be approaching? That what turned into a who, and made Enasi even more shocked...and confused than he already was.

"S-Seishu? Oh goodness I must be losing it..." He mumbled and then slumped his head into his hands. "I still have hours before I get up..."

When Enasi peeked back, the Seishu hallucination was still there. The feeling faded in his hand as the other moved closer to him. The dreamer was utterly confused, and probably freaking out more than it was actually necessary. So, the Dream Guardian took another few deep breaths until he was calm, and quietly sitting as he was before. There was no doubt it was Seishu, but... How?

~After a while a sound caches his attention. He stops, looking about wildly for it's source.

I know I heard something.

However the sound is gone even as he strains his ears to hear it again. At last he sighs and continues walking. The sound comes again, but this time he recognizes it. Looking down his eyes open wide in shock as he comes to understand just what he is hearing.

My footfalls. I can hear them.

And earlier, I heard my sigh!

Swallowing hard he hums ever so lightly and the sound reverberates deep in his chest. Licking his lips he falls silent and continues walking. The suddenly, something appears. It's far away, and in the darkness seems an impossible distance away, but he stalks on undeterred. His pace slows as he comes to realize just what he's found.

Enasi?

Can it be?

As he closes the distance between them, the figure turns to look at him.

It's him alright. . .

A new sound greets his ears. It's Enasi's voice. Never before had such a thing filled him with such a pleasant feeling. He does not hesitate, moving in closer. The tingle in his hand vanishes and with a smile he calls out, “You know, I never thought I'd say this, but I could go for a Dream right about now. Even if I am hallucinating, it's better than nothing, am I right?” Stopping a few paces away a shock runs through Seishu as he realizes he can see the ground now. However instead of the firm body temperature stone like material, the ground is now covered in deep blue grass. Letting out a short laugh that ends in a little choking noise he curls his toes in the plant life and swallows hard once again. His eyes seek out Enasi's even as a huge grin spreads across his features.~

Not just the echo of footsteps now, but the faint rise and fall of Enasi's breath could be heard as well. It didn't even occur to him that moments ago, that was his own voice and not the voice in his head. He never thought such simple sounds could be such a magnificent thing. Nor did he think the sight of a Nightmare would be so pleasant.

This is...new.

When Seishu spoke, Enasi let the words echo in his ears briefly. It was like hearing for the first time after being deaf for so long. Enasi uncurled from his sitting position and looked up at Seishu with a friendly smile. "It's... nice to see and hear someone. And, this is very lucid, but I don't think this is any hallucin-." His sentence was cut short as his hand brushed under him, preparing to stand. The solid surface wasn't cold and smooth.

It's soft? It's-

"It's grass. And it's...here." Enasi ran his fingers through it and smiled. The feeling was soft and comfortable compared to the cold stone feeling before. When he looked into the darkness, he could then spot small twinkling lights in the distance. It kind of reminded him of stars in the sky. "This has never happened before." The Dream Guardian was just about to ask if Seishu experienced something like this, but he remembered what he said about being in complete nothing...

That then reminded him of Seishu's question. 'Did he dream?' Well, not including this, that would've been a no. Enasi wasn't even sure what to call this event. Was it a dream? A creepy lucid one? Or merely a hallucination that had gotten his hopes up for nothing.

~A thrill runs through his body at the sound of Enasi's voice and he chuckles lightly. He watches as the other discovers the newness beneath them and murmurs, “A wonderful feeling, isn't it?” Dragging his foot across the tips of the blades of grass he sighs. He follows Enasi's gaze to the emptiness around them, which is not nearly as empty as it was before. His heart leaps at the sight of little pinpricks of light in the distance.

So beautiful.

I wonder what they are. . .

Then the Dream Guardian speaks again. He can feel his heart sink a bit. “So you've been all alone here too. . .” The simple statement tugs at his chest but something about the place around them draws away the dark feelings and he ends up smiling. A shock runs through him as suddenly a fresh evening breeze flows over them, tossing his hair about his body. He hadn't even noticed before that his battle braid was gone in this realm.

With a faint chuckle he squints his eyes, a sparkle in the distance reminding him of starlight on water catching his attention.

A lake?

The energy around them feels so strange. It's not positive, it's not negative. Seishu can only think of it as a pleasant neutral and with a laughing he reaches out to Enasi. The mark on the back of his hand pulsates as he takes Enasi's hand in his own, the two symbols coming closer together than they have ever been as Seishu pulls the other guardian to his feet. Without a word he takes off full speed towards the lake, somehow knowing that Enasi will be able to keep up just fine as he practically flies.

Enasi nodded, regarding the nice feeling, now focused on the light specks around them. Mentally, he began counting them knowing for sure that some continued to appear. It was almost as if a little world was being created around them... And it was a pretty sight, even without a few details.

Without looking at Seishu, Enasi responded to his question. "I though it was my own personal curse." His voice was soft as his mood sank as well. But for some reason, it changed immediately. The Dream Guardian didn't will it away, nor did he fill his mood with his own positive energy. The feeling just...disappeared.

A cool wind blew and Enasi shivered lightly, but took a deep breath and then gave a heavy sigh. He felt calm. With a smile again, he looked around to see if he spotted any other 'treasures' of the new creation. Just as he searched, all of a sudden Enasi found himself being pulled to his feet. Oddly enough, he didn't mind being pulled upward and he didn't mind the odd pulsing as Seishu grabbed his hand. Something was keeping Enasi from over expression and confusion. The air around them felt calm as well.

In the silence, he found himself running after Seishu, hand in hand. It wasn't hard to keep up, but that didn't stop him from wondering where they were headed. As they ran, Enasi couldn't help but notice Seishu's hair flowing in the wind. It was different than the braid he normally saw, and- it was kind of nice.

Upon arriving, Enasi glanced down at Seishu's discovery and then smiled. "So pretty..." He bent down to his knees to gaze into the lake's mirror of twinkling stars above and their reflections. The water was crystal clear and so still. "I bet if there was brighter light, we could see straight to the bottom." Enasi hesitated, but gently tapped the surface of the water shattering the stillness to create a ripple that only made it so far across the lake. "It feels so real." He wiped his hand on the grass under him to dry them.
