Shadow, if he's still in school no matter what his ranking was the police wouldn't accept him as a full fledged officer. Maybe a deputy or a consultant but they would not issue him a gun or badge. But it doesn't really matter as I cannot accept that CS. The reason being that he doesn't fit at all with the setting or group, and since the police will be an active force he very likely will get arrested sometime down the road. I don't want to do that and destroy your enjoyment after you've started playing so here's a fair warning. Stick with the character and run the very serious, very real risk of him getting arrested as that is the most realistic scenario in the IC, or make a different character who won't be.

Alright. I'll make up a new character then. I was trying to go with someone more related to death by having access to something to kill, but the character won't fit in to the story at all. I already have the next character outlined. You will see it in the next hour.

Well the Death Arcana doesn't necessarily represent Death itself, but moreso a great change, regeneration and cycles. This makes the Death Arcana very hard to cast. But anyway, thanks for being so amendable even when I was a little harsh. I look forward to seeing your next character.

I've watched a guy named Mst3kforever play a little bit of Persona 3. But the main thing I watched is NicoB's playthrough of Persona 4. Also, I already sent the shadow info to you, you even replied XD

He has vibrant green eyes and long brown hair that he combs over to one side in a swoop. He's around 5"8, and is decently skinny. Usually, a grin is plastered across his clear face.

When At School

While he's at school, Tetsuo wears a simple coat and T-Shirt with jeans. He wears a silver ring given to him by his mother.

When Battling

Battle is a different story. Tetsuo throws on a brown trench coat in favor of his normal coat, and puts his ring somewhere safe to cover up his hand with white, fingerless gloves. He also makes a point of changing into black pants. He also seems to be more confident when he's fighting, even more so than he usually is.

Personality: Tetsuo is energetic, outgoing, and confident. This confidence is part of the reason that he's able to do drama. He's also very creative, and his talents in art showcase this. Many people have complemented him on the originality of his paintings (though not the quality of them), and he takes pride in what he does. On the subject of the drama club, people often make mention (not to his face, mind you) of his over-the-top theatrical behavior, even outside of the theater. He over-exaggerates, gets fired up at certain issues, and is very passionate with things and people he loves.

As a result, in battle he is loud, overconfident, and makes decisions very quickly and sometimes irrationally. He yells a lot (sometimes even calling out his attacks), and on occasion uses this to his advantage, distracting enemies so that his allies can get the upper hand with a well-placed attack.

Backstory: For the first 10 years of his life, Tetsuo lived with an abusive father in a broken household. His mother was often not home, because she didn't want to come home to her husband, leaving Tetsuo to take some of the un-dealt pain from him. He doesn't talk about this a lot, so not much is known.

After his father left, he was able to break out of his shell, taking his mother along with him slowly but gradually. He started getting involved in school activities and became a lot more sociable. Tetsuo grew into the personality that he had to keep hidden within himself for years, and became the person he is today. He doesn't really like to talk about the past, and says that the him from birth to age 10 was an entirely different person.

From what I can decipher (if we're basing this roleplay on Persona 4), Personas are a part of someone's personality, which manifests itself into a physical form, with thoughts and abilities of its own, while still being under the control of the actual person wielding it (because they are still of the same mind). They usually take the form of demons, mythological/folklore figures, gods, and goddesses.

Arcana is the "class" of a Persona, so to speak. Personas of different Arcana have different abilities and specializations, as well as weaknesses. Arcana is based off of Tarot Cards. The Arcana of a Persona is usually a representation of one of the most notable features of someone's personality. For a more in-depth explanation of the Arcanas, Here's a list of them.

Shadows, are explained in the OP. In Persona 4, Shadows are versions of people that manifest in the alternate dimension where the Personas can be used (In Persona 4's case, it was the "Midnight Channel"). In Persona 4, Shadows were "repressed" parts of people's personality: a part of them which they never wanted anyone to see. However, they were always twisted and perverted versions of that repressed portion. They got stronger and stronger the more the person whose Shadow it was, denies them (denying the fact that it is truly a part of them). They can only be stopped once that person accepts that the Shadow is indeed a part of them, and once they do, their Shadow transforms into their Persona, and becomes a permanent part of them.

That's where the famous Persona phrase: "I am thou... Thou art I..." comes from (as they usually state that when revealing themselves to the Persona-wielder).

In this setting however, it looks like the OP has his own version of Shadows for the roleplay =)

But all of this is just based on my own understanding, and I don't doubt that a better Persona fan will correct me XD. Though, I hope you can understand the terms better now.

You're welcome ^_^. Also, I should add that Shadows take on a different form when in combat (meaning they will no longer look like their human-selves). Their "True-Form" is symbolic of everything the Shadow stands for. Each part and ability of the Shadow represents something about that person, and what they're going through.

There's nothing I can really add to Rultaos' very helpful explanation, anything I can think of will actually be covered in the IC.

I will note that your characters shadow isn't a repressed emotion or something that he doesn't want anyone to see, rather it's your greatest desire. You can be as flamboyant about that desire as you like, everyone could know it's what you want. But the Shadow will show your character to just what extent you're actually willing to go for it by subverting and perverting it until it's nearly unrecognizable.

Mind if I ask if we have an ETA for when the IC is up? Not rushing or anything, just curious. On a side-note: I slightly changed my Persona's Strength and Weakness. He's now strong in Electricity and Physical, but weak to both Wind and Ice.
