So I'm new... Yeah... I run a gaming blog off of tumblr, and have been attempting to run a gaming show on youtube with less success as of late. I have aspergers syndrome, but it's like the lightest case of it. I love bow ties, and video games but I'm a really harsh and hard to please critic so I often dislike a lot of the stuff most folks enjoy. I love Japanese games, but I highly dislike anime for the most part. I'm often considered bizzare for my love of Jazz, Blues, Noir, and Cyber-Punk, yet I'm 25 and I hate Doctor Who, Sherlock (I love Sherlock Holmes just not the BBC one) Super heroes (Marvel, and DC though I enjoy batman from time to time), or most sci-fi or fantasy tropes... I'm not a fan of FPS games unless they are extremely creative, and I tend to like very intellectual games...
Though I've also grown very, very tired of indie titles like braid and stuff because they feel overdone and pretentious. I'm an atheist that loves religion if that makes sense... I love the study of it, it makes for some great historical mysteries and a majority of the world is religious and I like to know how it got that way. I love Anthropology, and Archaeology and of course Lovecraft, though I find his writings to sometimes be a little grating. Simply put I'm odd...
One thing I've been told countless times during role playing is that I'm immensely creative, I get that a lot though I'm not entirely sure how true it is... It is after all a bit of a subjective thing, creativity. I draw pretty well, though it's in kind of a stylistic cartoony way with some classical drawing skills interlaced here and there. Simply put I'm an odd fellow. If you'd like to get to know me more just PM me!
I'm actually here because me and my girlfriend want to start role playing again. We live together but can't seem to find a way to just do it. We thought about essentially doing it on paper just the two of us but I didn't like it just being me and her, and the way in which we were doing it felt odd. I used to roleplay on a Megaman Battle Network forum when I was 16 and so I found this place in my search... So I hope I make some new friends, and just have fun roleplaying
