Angus was suspicious, there were two Darknuts present and each had a completely opposing view, was it really possible that they were completely unfamiliar with each other? That they'd each traveled to the festival with no knowledge of the other? He thought that the Darknuts, like most fiends, operated with a hoard like mentality, all connected to each other. It was certainly not impossible to imagine the dark king having caught wind of the goddess' plans and sent two elites to dispatch the 'heroes' before they had a chance train and grow strong enough to defeat him. His hand shifted to hover over the handle of his hammer, he didn't know if he was just being paranoid but it was better than being unprepared.

He decided to speak after the fairy had finished. "My name is Angus in case you were wondering, and Lethe is right, we can't dispute that we've all been chosen." He looked around at each of the faces. "All of us, we can't ignore the call of the goddess, we HAVE to act." He sighed. "Even the children. I doubt any of us would have been selected if we weren't capable, if the goddess didn't have faith in us." Lowering his hand away from the hammer, assuming that the Darknut would have acted already if he was planning something. "We cannot afford to waste any more time arguing and asking questions." He turned to face the fairy, a somewhat grim expression on his face. "I trust you have an idea of where we should start? After all, you're our guide right?"

Veitaru, having woken up from her quick catnap at Ekra's prodding, didn't pay much attention to anything that was being said. She tried to stay as still as possible, save for regular breathing to maintain the illusion of sleep. She thought to herself that the groups petty disagreements were ultimately unimportant and that her involvement would do nothing but add more meaningless noise. Also, she wished the creepy wood thing would leave her alone. She began fantasizing of one of the large ones falling over on Lethe and Ekra as bar brawl-esque battle broke out. And then exploding. Because reasons.

"I trust you have an idea of where we should start? After all, you're our guide right?" Her ears perked up a bit as she heard this line, and she lazily peered up with her lower set eye that Ekra couldn't see given the angle of Veitaru's head, still feigning sleep to the untrained eye to identify the source. Finally, someone asked the right question.

So, she stayed down, waiting for more response. And praying Ekra would get bored and leave.

Epicoron did not flinch, he did not get angry. He simply said "And you wonder why they call us monsters. I'm a disgrace to our people? Maybe. But at least I know the difference between honor and outright ignorance. I am Captain Epicoron of the DarkNut Legion. You'd be wise to respect that fact. Apparently a disgrace did more for our people than you did. Chew on that one, if your ego doesn't cause you to choke first." He walks away a bit, then turns around "The fact you're so ready to insult another member of your race for having a different opinion speaks more than you could ever muster in words or insults. Go ahead and be proud of a choice that caused thousands of our kin to die. I however, can read between the lines. The darknuts have been seen as monsters for too long my friend. We won't stop them from being seen this way by going about talking about other races like they are inferior or cowardly. Yes, they are not as large, or as strong in military, or even as honorable. But they are another living thing and we must give respect to gain it. Also I do apologize for the large amount of speech. Most of the time soldiers aren't allowed to throw their opinions around like this." He glares at Maryev "It tends to get people killed."

"I dunno about her," Ekra said, still trying to poke Veitaru into consciousness. "I think she might be dying. This usually gets someone's attention after a while." As far as she could tell, the other being her own size had not woken up yet. This was beginning to get annoying. It was not going to be a quick mission, it was going to keep her away from the Lost Woods for a while, her questions regarding Ganondorf had gone unanswered, and apparently the only being not an adult was entering a coma for some unknown reason. "And really, I'm not a child..." That part was muttered more to herself. She had a good reason not to know much about the other races and strange beings around her (it could be worth the time to also chat with the shadowy beings, preferably the one who hadn't scared her earlier), but she would've thought the Hylians would at least know of the existence of skull kids - she sure had been shot at enough to think they'd know in general. Especially the blacksmith - Angus, he was Angus, nice to know - since he was a merchant like others who passed through. And that they'd know skull kids were rarely children anymore, at least not by the standards of any race she knew of. Maybe by Darknut standards, over 50 still meant being 'young'. And speaking of them...

"Eesh, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." She looked between them. "Not sure who though. Or is this normal?" That, she was curious about. Of course, no two Kokori were alike and prone to loud debates. Maybe this was just how Darknuts talked and thought. "The whole extremes, I mean. It's a bit weird, one side is the guy who I think might kinda kill all the adults once this is over, and the other one's weirdly cool with everyone here. Is that just a Darknut thing?" And now slightly bored with being upright. There were no trees, but there was a tombstone near the one she stood on, with what looked like a fairly stretched-out clover on top of it. Close enough to a tree branch. She jumped over, grabbed on, and flipped, ending up hanging upside-down on one of the horizontal branches. Her bag jangled with the movement, her possessions clacking together. "...and seriously, is Ganon a ghost or what? Right now, I mean. Or are Gerudos just long-lived? Anyone?"

With something of a sigh, Magus watched as the group laid into each other as differing ideologies and old hatreds smashed into each other like a run away cart into a wall.

Looking around for an old, long abandoned tombstone that no one would really care about if something were to happen to it. Taking one last glance towards the growing argument, Magus raised a gloved hand... And then the tombstone exploded.

Those who had been to engrossed in their own little world to pay attention to Magus would simply hear the loud noise of a stone being violently smashed. Those that were paying attention to the world around them would notice what appeared to be a dark ball of magic gathering around the palm of the robed man's gloved hand before he pushed it, causing it to fly like an arrow before striking its target in the old, worn stone and causing it to explode as if it had been hit by a large hammer before wielded by one of the darknuts present.

While those who witnessed it would be able to tell that it was clearly some sort of dark magic being wielded, only two beings present would have any idea of its true nature. This wasn't just some fancy hair trick, this was the old magic of the Twili; The magic created in the dawn of the world by those who envied the ones who horded the blessing of the Goddesses for themselves.

Well aware that if the usage of magic didn't bring about silence the sound of exploding tombstone would, Magus turned towards the group as if he was pleasantly surprised to have their attention. "Oh I'm sorry, I just decided that I would get some practice in while you all carried on with your no doubt meaningful discussions. Since you all seem to have wrapped that up, I'm sure that all of you are willing to continue hearing Lethe out." Turning his hooded gaze towards the fairy in question he politely nodded his head as a sign that he was surrendering the stage to her once again.
