[IC] Trying to save the world (Xion and Caits)

Kalinda had given Ghost the distraction he needed, he sweep kicked the soldiers off their feet. His wrist guns traine on them one of them fired and he got a chest full of bullets. Ghost looke around then finally he activated the mini shoulder missiles on his shoulders each missile trained on a mercenary soldier. Still they got up and started firing at him, he fired the missiles at them each taking down a mercenary.

"Give it up Frost your beaten," Frost just laughed, "I am not beaten just yet Ghost. I have one more suprise for you." Ghost looked up into the sky to see, a giant suit of metal armor fall out of the sky. Ghost got out of the way before it had crushed him, "no your supposed to be dead," he heard a voice in the suit. "I am not dead Ghost, he heard a laugh then "Vlad I saw you die," Vlad only laughed. "I'm very much alive," that's when the huge metal robot charged.

Ghost dodged the bullets it was firing, he saw Frost starting to fly away. "Kalinda go after him take the rest of the team with you. Zach you stay with me I'm going to need you help big time." He said over the communicators, as he dodged more bullets. He fired off a few pulsar blasts, at the machine as he kept dodging bullets, Ghost quickly got his Telescoping super cavitation swords out started attacking up close while Zach was summoning lightning whenever he could and would hit the machine with it.

Kalinda gave a heavy sigh, "You heard him" She said, shrugging back into her jet pack, "lets move it" Although what good she'd be in the air without something like a ship, or something to stand on, she had no idea. Sure, she could fire her gun but the wind might throw off the aim, the same with her daggers. She made her suit stabilise, allowing her appearance to be seen, but didn't take the hood off, simply to keep her hair in check.

She caught up with Hannah, Tory and Connor. Tory would be useless too, Kalinda didn't imagine that the hulked out version of her would be able to be carried by her jet pack. Hannah might be able to land some arrows, but again there was the wind factor. And Connor, well, sure his shield could come back to him, but essentially he was better on the ground too.

"We're kind of useless here Micky, you took away Zach, the only one that might have a chance of hitting Frost, so what-"

And then she had an idea. "Alright guys, lets get as close as we can to this guy. I want Tory above him. And then I want her to Hulk Up!" How lovely it was to be listened to. "Hannah, lets send some distraction Frosts way, shoot some arrows-lets make it no more than five" She said, "I'll use my gun" She took her gun out from a concealed pocket, and made sure the safety was off.

Then as soon as they were close enough, she began to fire, watching Hannah shoot off an arrow and then other one just as quick. It all seemed to be going well, right up to the point when something happened, and her jet pack stopped working. She sucked in a breath as she fell. Tory dropped like a stone, falling passed her, and then rose up, grabbing her, but with the extra weight, the jetpack only managed to slow her descent, and pull Tory down with her. And then Hannah was there, on her other side, and Kalinda couldn't help but laugh, imagining how foolish they must look.

"I think we let him get away" as they landed, and Kalinda had never been more thankful for the ground, "Go, see if you can still get him. I'll get Micky to give me a ride" Hopefully, he would do so or she had a long walk back to headquarters.

Ghost dodged as he went in for another attack, "Zach I got him go and help the others." Zach nodded and flew off, that's when he got hit by a huge hand. He was slammed into a tree, he grunted in pain he shook his head to clear his vision. He got back to his feet, he quickly did his thrusters got onto its shoulders an stabbe the thing in the head.

The robot fell to the ground, that's when he got blown off his feet by the explosion. He landed on his back, he got back to his feet. Ghost was breathing hard, as he looked around. He went into the air, flying toward where he saw the team go. That's when he saw the crash sight he landed on the ground he saw Zach surveying the place and helping Hannah sit up.

Micheal helped Tory back to her feet, he looked around no one was critically injured which was good. He ran over toward Connor, "is everyone alright?" Connor nodded, Michael found Kalinda a few feet away from the main group. He took off the helmet and walked up to her. "Well Vlads gone and I'm guessing things didn't go as planned?"

Kalinda looked up and shrugged, "it was going as planned and then my jet pack died" She shrugged it off, and took her hood off, running her fingers through her hair. "We need attacks on the ground, I'm useless in the air, so is Hannah. Tory could land on someone hulked out, but that's a last resort really. I need a plane"

She sighed, "So back to head quarters?" She asked, looking around at everyone, "I doubt we'd find Frost again, so we should try and track him again" She went over to Tory, and gave the girl a hug, "Thanks for trying to catch me. Thank god Hannah joined us, or I'd be a puddle" she smiled at Hannah, and hugged her too.

Everyone was alright, it seemed, and Kalinda let out a relieved breath, "The others can get back to the plane, but I can't, unless you give me a ride" She said to Michael.

Micheal looked at her, he smiled a bit. "JARVIS how much more power do I have in the suit?" "You have 67 percent sir." Micheal put the helmet back on, "looks like that thing took out a lot of power from my suit in the fight." He looked to Kalinda, "yah I can give you a ride back to the plane. Just don't keep on asking me every time if you need a ride."

Micheal grabbed Kalinda by the waist, lauching into the sky. Heading toward the plane, it had been a long time since he had carried anyone in a few months. He had a steady flight back to the plane, he just hoped that Frost hadn't left any more nasty suprises behind as he flew. Nothing was the same, "sir you have an in coming call from your father." Micheal swallowed, "put him on hold for now JARVIS this isn't a good time."

Kalinda poked her tongue out at him, "i'll try not to make it a habit, but sadly, I haven't evolved into a bird like I hoped I would" She said with amusement in her tone. When he grabbed her, she clung to him in instinct, laughing when he took off. "this is amazing." She said, falling silent when he said to put him on hold. .Kalinda stepped back once Michael put her down.

"You can't run from your father for ever" She said softly, "You aren't a little kid" She moved away, to leave Michael to himself and his thoughts, but she did look over her shoulder at him, seeing the others returning as well.

Kalinda sat down to call her mother, to tell her that all was well, but that this mission was going to take a while it seemed. She smiled at the others, taking out a laptop, and beginning to search once more, trying to track Frost or the Cube, but didn't try long. She was oddly exhausted, and laid back in her seat, "I'm hungry. is there food in this place?"

He sat down in one of the chairs, "I don't know Kalinda I never been here only once before." Micheal leaned back in his chair, calling his dad letting him know everything was alright and everything before he hung up. He got the suit off, and started going through his computer system he had gotten every wireless camera up on there. "If this guys anywhere we'll be able to find him."

Micheal sat back down in a chair, "oh and also I'll show us to the new base I don't feel comfortable with me being in a SHEILD building." He went through the system completely on his computer, "it looked like frost had hired guys to try and hack into his computer in order to figure out what there next move was." Micheal only shook his head, as he did a few more codes onto it.

Kalinda rose to explore the ship, happily finding some sandwiches and drinks. She brought them back to the others, and handed them out, sitting back down with one she had devoured it in moments. She opened her drink, a can of Pepsi. "Ah, cold caffeine is there anything better?" She said happily. Some people would think she wasn't taking it seriously, but Kalinda was. She just simply chose not to let it brother her.

She watched Michael and listened as he spoke, she pondered what he said, wondering why he had this hatred of SHIELD and Fury. "Micky, what's your problem with these people?" She said, "we have access to all this stuff, giving us a better way of finding Frost and stopping him, but you hate them. Why?" Kalinda was aware that she was probably playing with fire, but she had always been a bit reckless.

Micheal only shook his head, "fury had sent me on a mission once. It didn't turn out well I almost got killed because fury wanted better weapons for other people just because of Thor and the asgards. It had almost gotten me killed because, the weapons they were using were more high tech than anything I've ever seen, and just because fury just wanted better weapons."

Micheal rose to his feet, he walked over to the window. His hands behind his back, as he watched the clouds pass by. "That's why my dad didn't want me to have anything that had me going back into SHEILD. He almost lost me that day, tony hasn't forgiven fury and won't I know my father that well." Micheal sighed, "and will you stop calling me Micky Kali."

"Nope. I like Micky" she said, she rose and went over to him. She seemed to Hesitate, before laying a hand on his shoulder. "Michael, sometimes in life you have to do things that you don't want to. What Fury does with SHIELD, well, it's good work. It protects the world. You don't have to like him to work with SHIELD. Agent Nelson was good. You could work through him and never have to see Fury" she said softly

She wanted to be reassuring, but didn't think she was. She sighed, "things are not simply black and white in the world anymore. They need people like us, the rest of the world, and they like knowing we are there, even of we destroy half a city. If it means they can survive...well" she shrugged.

"There must be some reason as to what happened. Your father still provides the jet packs, and I'm pretty sure other equipment to SHIELD. Oh! Can you tell why mine stopped?" She asked, wanting to get off this topic and onto something else. Tinkering might distract him.

Micheal just kept looking at the clouds, "if yours stopped, then it was either out of power or the whole jet pack malfunctioned which would lead to it shutting down completely." He knew his father had made those, so what was up with it not working there were only one or two things that could go wrong. He had to guess it malfunctioned, because then the back up thrusters didn't activate.

Micheal took a deep breath, "Connor if you can I think SHEILD would have some files on frost can you go find them?" Connor nodded and ran off, "I don't want to be fighting blind, we don't know what this guy can do so we don't have to fight without any nasty suprises he has."

He turned back to his computer, working on getting the location of frost. By night fall, Michael had his head on the desk and he was asleep, the computer still searching for frost while he got his sleep. He didn't even mean to fall asleep he just did. That usually happened when he was over working himself , but still tey needed to find frost no matter what.

Kalinda sighed, but went away, using the laptop she had been using earlier, thinking about what she could do. She disliked what was going on. She didn't know the whole story, and that always ticked her off. She finished off her drink, and stared at the computer screen. Her night of no sleep was catching up to her, but she still continued on, right up until she saw that Michael had passed out.

She yawned herself, "Star Spangled Banner, why don't you see if you can get Micky to bed" She said, rising, "The computer can continue to run, I'll set it up so it ends a text message when it finds anything" She turned the computer towards her, setting that up, making sure her phone was on.

"Then I suggest we all get some sleep, keep our reserves up" She said, shutting down her laptop, "A few hours, and we can all be refreased" She smiled and rubbed her eyes.

Connor got up, and nodded. He picks up Michael, and went towards a room. Setting him down on the bed, before going to his own room. Zach went toward his room himself, falling asleep once he was on his bed. After a few hours, Michael finally woke up. He grabbed his armor going toward the room with all the tools.

He started to repair his armor, from the fight out there. He had taken hard hits from that robot, he didn't know how Frost knew where to find vlad but he had peresuaded him to fight them and slow them down from getting to the cube. He sighed, vlad wouldn't stop them he knew that way to well.

Kalinda found a place to sleep, but found that she couldn't. So she went hunting for Tory or Hannah. She found Tory first, and said softly, "I can't sleep"

Tory gave her a smile, and patted the bed next to her, "Join me then" She said in a small, quite voice. Kalinda was grateful, and she went over. Kalinda felt safer sleeping with someone else, and Tory was a sweet girl. It wasn't that Kalinda was afraid to sleep alone, it was simply...a survival instinct. She climbed into the bed next to Tory, "You know, I've never had any girl's as friends really. So this is like my first slumber party" Kalinda said with a laugh.

Tory smiled, and they were both asleep in minutes.

Kalinda woke hours later, and not wanting to wake Tory, she wriggled out of the bed carefully, glancing at her phone but seeing no notification she sighed. she donned her suit and various weapons, heading out, and found a room to stretch, and do some exercises in.

Michael added a few things to his suit, that's when an explosion rocked the ship. Michael quickly got into his suit. "Nelson status," Nelson was running to the main part of the ship. "The hulls be comprimised and one of the engines are down," Ghost thought for a moment. "Connor come on I need you meet me at the forth engine." Connor nodded, running toward the forth engine. "I'm here Michael," Michael got the debris from the engine cut with a laser.

"Alright see that big red box, there should be a switch there when I say pull it pull it it will allow me enough time to get out." With that he started turning the engine as another engine got shot down, Connor looked over at the entrance to see some soldiers that weren't theirs coming. He got shot at, he threw him sheild hitting one of them. While he jumped down to deal with them, he hit the one in front of him then kicked. "Uhhh Connor pull the switch pull it." He came off of the engine, it didn't slow.

"Oh crap," he went under getting hit and hit over and over again. Connor got to the switch and was about to pull it till he saw more soldiers. Ghost kept getting hit, till he got out through the bottem. He was falling toward the ground fast, "JARVIS activate the thrusters," "I can't sit your thrusters are damaged." Ghost cursed just before he hit the ground.

Connor watched as Michael fell toward the ground, then he looked at the soldiers they were gone. He sighed, as he walked back into the base. He couldn't believe he hadn't pulled the switch he wondered if he had cost Michael his life for not pulling it. He walked toward the conference room, he didn't know what to say when he would get there.

Kalinda stayed on her feet as the ship began to go down, and then she was moving, running, to find a computer, anything that could tell her what had happened, hearing that the hills had been comprimised and one of the engines was down. "That isn't good" she said, as Hannah joined her

"There are soldiers that aren't ours" Hannah said. Kalinda grinned, "shall we have some fun?" She asked, already moving through the plane, but by the time they got there, they were gone, and Connor appeared stricken.

"Where's Micky?" But she had already figured out what had happened as the ship was no longer unbalanced, no longer falling. "He went to be a hero" she sighed, "I'll go find him then. Keep guards, or whatever at entrances and ways in, I have my communicator"

She grabbed a fresh jet pack, and shrugged it on, and leaped into the sky. She aimed herself downward "Micky?" She called over the communicator "you better not be dead, tin man. I think your father might just murder me if you are and I love living"

She aimed herself downwards towards the ground when she couldn't see him in the air. She herself was stricken, wondering if even in the suit he could survive such a fall. "Micky!"

Hannah stood at the edge, an arrow knocked, watching, looking about, wary. Tory was in the command centre, working on the computers, trying to track, but not doing too well.

JARVIS was trying to get Michael to wake up, "sir wake up sir sir!" Michael didn't reaping he was breathing, but he was out cold. On the ground, some of his suit was damaged really badly, JARVIS could only make sure Michael was ok and his vitals were fine, it looked like Michael had broken a lot of bones in the fall to the ground, Connor could only look around, keeping his guard up as he made sure that no other soldiers were left.

JARVIS scanned over Michael's body, to make sure he had no serious injuries than he already had. JARVIS couldn't believe that Michael had survived a fall that high. Water was slowly coming in and out on shore. It wasn't coming into the suit which was good at least. JARVIS continued to make sure that Michael wasn't as injured as he was already.

Kalinda angled down, continually calling out through the communicator, "Micky! Michael! Damn it, reply Micky!" She cursed, and hovered low, moving along the area, right up until she saw the crash site of Michael.

She landed, and shrugged out of the jet pack, running towards him. "Michael!" She yelled, racing to him, skidding to a stop and trying to pry open his mask, shaking slightly, "Please, god, be alive" She said

"Open the damn suit! I can't get at you!" She said, her voice slowly losing its control, and she hadn't even looked around yet to see if there was any danger, "Micky, please..." Her voice shook, and she looked up at the plane, "I might need a little help here!"

JARVIS opened the suit, for her Michael was still out cold from the hard impact he had taken. It was JARVIS speaking over the communicator, "Kalinda he's alive but he took a hard hit when he landed on the ground. He has a lot of injuries the suit protected him as best as it could when he hit the ground." Zach heard the call from Kalinda, he flew down where she was.

"Man he did take a hard hit when he landed, I thought he would have activated the thrusters to not make him fall to the ground." Zach looked over the suit, JARVIS spoke "the thrusters were damaged beyond use most of his suit was damaged, so there wasn't much he could do to stop his free fall to the ground. At least he landed here, anywhere else on mainland and he would be in even more of a worse condition."

Kalinda winced, running her hands over Michael's body, finding the broken bones. She hissed out a breath, knowing Michael would be in massive pain, "Oh, you foolish idiot" She said softly, '"We will have to set the bones befoe we move them" She said, looking up when Zach came down. "My mother's taught me some basic field training" She said

She gently ran her fingers over the broking bones, "Its a good thing that he is already unconscious" She said "but it will still hurt like hell" Yet she knew if they didn't set the bones before they moved him, it would be a hundred times worse, and most likely cause damage.

before she did anything, she checked his heart rate and such. And then she started, hating herself. She set what bones she could, and leaned back, to look up at Zach, "I don't know how to move him" She said
