Gorgon

Human

Bio
If not for Thomas Briar, the woman known currently as Edessa Thorne would have likely lived an entirely different life.

Twenty-four years prior to the present, she was born a daughter of the royal dynasty known as House Blackwater through the union of Lord Blackwater and Lady Briar. As the Princess of the Kingdom of Gorgon she was baptized as a part of the royal family with great expectations designed for the young royal. Of course, she was far behind in the line of succession with three elder brothers who were well-read and well-trained in the way of duty. As she was baptized there was one man who would be bound to her protection for his life, a knight and experienced ranger known as Edwic Devain; assigned as her guardian and protector, Ser Edwic would go beyond the expectations of duty to ensure safety and worked with the then spymaster of Gorgon to designate royal safehouses, escape routes, and similar contingencies for the safety of not only Ilayna but any royal at home in court.

When Lord Arthur Blackwater left his kingdom for the war against Malfear he left his spymaster and brother-in-law (Thomas Briar) as leading regent of Gorgon, giving the man the beginning that would excite his taste for power and control. Not long after when Ilayna reached her eighth anniversary of her name-day, the worst of possible events occurred at home in Gorgon—the betrayal of House Blackwater, and the murder of her bloodline by someone that was trusted to their protection: Thomas Briar. The spymaster and regent had often plotted in secret to steal what he believed he deserved, the first murder he would commit would earn him the title of kinslayer as his sister and mother of the Blackwater heirs would lay dead in the streets of the capital. Ser Edwic cursed himself for not seeing the treachery beforehand and organized several other knights sworn to other heirs to retreat and to stay away from the designated safehouses for Briar created them and knew about them. Ser Edwic himself took to the north as he dragged the eight year old daughter of Gorgon through the forests and swamps until he could get as far as possible.

The safety and survival of the Blackwater line was now abruptly in the hands of men sworn to protect its heirs. Ser Edwic’s loyalty unfaltering, he ensured that no harm would come to Ilayna while he still breathed air of this world; the Blackwater line would not end in a flood of darkness and treachery. Traveling to the Valarian countryside, Ser Edwic and Ilayna Blackwater disappeared and Mauldin and Edessa Thorne emerged. Hoping to avoid any eyes and ears that could report back to Thomas Briar, the two Gorgonite individuals began to cut out a life from village to village in the township of which they settled to protect themselves from the fear of assassins and spies.

Her name changed her dynasty taken, and life distressed; the girl known as Ilayna Blackwater was now Edessa Thorne, and now sprung up amongst commonfolk in an assortment of backwater villages and hamlets. Coin became sparse, food rationed, and despite the two Gorgonite’s resilience it never did stop the dwelling and nightmarish dreams that taunted them. The nightmares throughout the years would be a constant torture for the former Princess of Gorgon as she remembered the hushed panic, her mother’s blood drenched on her uncle’s knife, Ser Edwic’s hand preventing her from screaming in horror, the exhausting dread of Thomas Briar’s Blackwater hunters, the sound of the dogs, and the feeling of being stripped from her brothers whilst the feeling of never being able to speak to her parents again—it was insufferable. Her guardian attempted to calm her nerves throughout the coming years, but it would do nothing for the true psychological damage that she was dealt.

Despite the deep sense of psychological turmoil in the young girl’s mind, Ser Edwic instilled a sense of resilience and rigid strength in her. Originally coming from the commonfolk himself before he was knighted when he was much younger, Ser Edwic knew what it took to survive in their newfound environment. Fashioning himself as an adventurer, tracker, bandit hunter, and general problem solver—the people in this rural Valaria found much use in the man they would come to know as Mauldin Thorne. His skills as a ranger of Gorgon came into much use as he put coin and food on the table whilst also training his believed ‘daughter’ in the same skills he had honed decades prior. Dexterity, Gorgonite-style hand-to-hand, swordplay, archery, tracking, survivalism, and collective “common wisdom” would be things that Edessa would learn and surprisingly she had a knack for a few of these skills, perhaps taking after her elder brothers who had idolized the rangers of Gorgon. From eight years after her nameday to seventeen years after it she would become a capable ranger indeed as Mauldin’s training was nothing but extensive. But inspired to not be so weak as she was when her mother died in front of her eyes, and to prove to her guardian that his training was not for naught.

Two years after the “completion” of her training and some field experience in surrounding villages as well as trading posts it came to be her guardian’s end of days as he was stricken ill—an illness that would take the ranger-knight’s life at sixty years past his nameday; a remarkable age for someone who had been living in bad conditions and throughout a traumatic and taxing life. As she buried him in a grave that read only as: “Maurin Thorne – beloved father and protector.” So it was here at nineteen years past her nameday that Ilayna “Edessa Thorne” Blackwater began to live life from one outpost, caravan, and village at a time as she tried to put her past behind her and live for what she was taught by both Ser Edwic and her royal family that now laid in the dirt and was with the gods.

Injustice and chaos thrived in the lands and whilst she saw herself as ‘moral’ she knew that coin would have to come first if she intended to continue eating—though where heroics occurred oftentimes people were thankful for their endeavors. The Valealian frontier was chaotic and upset as rebellion, mage-hunting, and banditry began to run rampant thus creating an unstable world to travel in for the young woman though it was also as easily to be looked upon as for a hireling/problem solver-type of individual that it surely would be profitable for their career. For her, there was a struggle as her moral fibers of virtue and good nature began to shout out in her head; for if she could stop tragedy to consume other lives she would save others from the misery she felt every night when the nightmares called out to her like a frightful spirit. “Nobody deserves to be overthrown by tragedy nor misery.” – she kept telling herself such thoughts to make sure she didn’t devolve into a narcissitic hiresword that cared only for coin and their survival; hireswords that she had heard that ignored bandit attacks because there was no coin in helping a hamlet from getting raided and pilfered or even those hireswords that would join the bandits on such raids. By the Coin and not by the soul was such a terrible way to live life.

For five years she traveled across Valeal; helping who she could while getting by on her personality and actions. For some villages, hamlets, and outposts the name “Edessa Thorne” has some significance despite her small actions, but those who suffer remember their friends. While seen as not entirely selfless, she has helped where others would turn them away with a glance that reeks of the phrase: “That’s a shame.” – She wants to help people and survive doing it, but sometimes she thinks her small actions have gotten rescinded as soon as she leaves these settlements. She hasn’t really found her purpose in life as this Valealian “ranger”. But given the political and socio problems growing in the world… something will absorb her eventually.

Roleplay Something Wicked This Way Comes “Why do people suffer? Why do we hide and let plague destroy them? That isn’t nobility. That can’t be nobility… can it? Name Pythia “The Yellow Rose” Heartspire Age 15 Gender Female Personality Pythia is ultimately a child of kindness and earnest naivety, whilst her teachings have led her to understand the world isn’t entirely sunshine and rainbows she still maintains a sense of kind optimism despite understanding what horrors man is capable of—it isn’t “easy” for her, either, as she struggles with many moral and ethical dilemmas when faced with opposition. Her relationship with her adopted parents is on good terms, despite a few years of hoisting up their trueborn heir to their house over her, which is understandable by all means but it still hurts as she despite what the law says is still a very young child who even with her longtime mentor finds herself being pushed into action way too early in life. So you could say that Pythia is a ‘beta’ personality as she prefers to be led, though if she feels opposition to her beliefs she will confront said leader… probably… maybe over tea… in front of everyone… under a good omen. Role/Title Cleric History The story of Pythia is one that is vague to the adopted daughter of the noble house of Heartspire, as she has heard all of the tales of how she came to be—in the end, she had no concept of the truth of where she came from which maddened the girl from a young age to have her questions answered with more questions. A big question arose early regarding her obvious affinity with magic, something that didn’t necessarily outcast her from her friends and peers but did make her feel strangely out of place. It was by her parent’s coin that a noble scholar and magical tutor from Lumoise was afforded and it was with that person that she learned what type of magic she was attuned to. Her place at the table of magic was one of healing, warding, and protecting; something that would resonate with her personality as she would hear story after story of plague or famine or fatal injury that she felt were not necessary. As Pythia’s youth carried on her instructor became the only guiding light in a sea of what she felt was irrelevance, because why was she within these walls if people outside of them suffered? She pondered as she looked to the noble heroes of old and new for inspiration whilst she struggled with her beliefs. Such struggle was not made easy by the lessons given to her by her instructor who explained the varied opinions of magic of the world, historical consequences, ignorant fear-mongering, and brutal dangers of magic as pertinent teachings that she should be aware of and as she was quite young at the time she found herself terrified of them but never to the point she wanted to shy away from her magic. It was about this time that her parents conceived their first blood child, a male named Xanye. It was then that the divide between the “high society public” became apparent—it wasn’t that they were afraid of her but simply disregarded her as she was no heir of House Heartspire and they made that abundantly clear as they nicknamed her brother as “trueborn”. She was twelve years past her nameday. With her parents paying more mind to her brother, Pythia absorbed herself more into her studies of the arcane and divine. She looked to the gods for guidance in the spiritual nature whilst she looked to her instructor for even more guidance on not only magic but philosophy. Such dedication became her daily routine outside of court etiquette of the nobility. This would come to conflict when she turned fourteen when the conversation of courting came from her parents lips as if they interested in the concept before at all. “Your life is your path.” – apparently that was only true in the case of engagement. The fifteen year old looked to her instructor for guidance and she was told a truth she had not considered. Within a year she would be an adult by law and her choices would be many; amongst that realization her mentor also confessed that they had little more they could teach them from here and it would be best to apply to a foreign academy of magic or alternatively begin her own path by self-teaching—as a mage without experience was just a fancy scholar. The boys her parents began suggesting would turn into a game of sorts as Pythia took all of the collective knowledge before her; she would deny betrothal and instead enlist in some manner for the empire itself. It was no surprise that after being in a safe, walled city that she would want to find an avenue to explore and help people at large with her skills. In a matter of time she was a legal adult and had a decision to make. So it was in a rare enlistment that her story continues. Extra Pythia’s skills as a cleric are that in wards, restoration, and to an extent alteration. You can basically view her as a quantifiable “white mage” who works within a holy dynamic but as a very young and inexperienced caster she doesn’t have proper battle focus nor does she have the years of dedication for really powerful spells so I’ll have to play that into her combat style. The idea is to have her as a young cleric to learn through experience and probability.

Roleplay Titans Full Name Blossom Utonium Brief Bio Blossom Utonium is one of three daughters of Professor Kenneth Utonium, one of the world leaders of genetic science and a former scientific asset to the United States government under the SHIELD initiative. However such involvement was unknown to Blossom and her sisters for many years as the professor would dodge inquiries about their mother and especially his past as he would come up with hackneyed explanations to the children about their origins such as “sugar, spice, and everything nice” which as Blossom grew older became suspicious of the explanation he had given her and her sisters when they were six-years old. It was during this same year that it was realized the chemical formula Professor Utonium had used had birthed some abstract form of a metagene which dawned the girl’s abilities that began to develop at an exponential rate. This was of course the birth of “The Powerpuff Girls” and due to the influence of superheroes like Wonder Woman and Superman it was here that Blossom’s crime-fighting career began with her sisters Buttercup and Bubbles. For the equivalent of five more years, it all seemed that the guardianship of Townsville was something the Powerpuff Girls could count on themselves doing for a long time despite minor disputes and challenges by their rogue’s gallery that varied from scientists to mutants. But as the girls got older the times began to change and more devastating dangers seemed to crawl out from the criminal underbelly. What happened between when Blossom turned ten years old and when she awoke in the hospital ward of a neighboring town is unknown and as a result Blossom’s memory found itself checkered and mired in vague ideas. Following her apparent partial memory loss, Blossom found herself particularly darkened as she began to struggle with the evidence presented in front of her that Townsville was gone. It was an overwhelming fact that she realized at ten years old as her uncle, Eugene Utonium, took her from her recovery to the entrance of Townsville but despite all attempts at answers all she got was questions as the site of the metropolitan city was absent and without evidence of ruin—almost like it didn’t exist in the first place. Months began to pass and Blossom found herself situated with her uncle Eugene despite the absenteeism of the family that were now lacking existence in her life beyond of the blame and fear Blossom shifted upon herself, her sisters and her father were shadows of what once was. In time, Blossom found herself able to distract herself as she “officially” retired from superhero vigilantism and focused on her studies. Given her great intellect, once applied the young girl found herself alongside child prodigies of the world; one of which she met during her time at Empire State University—Dexter McPherson. Such friendship continued to help Blossom as a coping mechanism as the years began to pile on and no answer about what happened to her or her family seemed to pop up despite her inquiries to experts of scientific and arcane nature. Despite her idolization of such experts it didn’t bring her any closer to having any answers. Garnering academic degrees in various fields including chemistry, biology, physics, and language. It was then in the previous year when all of her reservations about her former vigilantism changed as a supervillain group launched an attack whilst the organizations devoted to defending the city were unapproachable due to activity on other missions elsewhere—a rare occurrence, for sure. Dexter McPherson would be the one who would gather Blossom and appeal to her sense of pragmatism and thus began the fight back which ultimately gathered “official” attention to both Blossom and Dexter for their efforts during this “crisis”. Attention that would lead to a recommendation for service on a group of similarly aged youths. Encouraged by others to be who she has to be to protect others as well as Dexter’s pursuit for answers for Townsville’s “disappearance” it was here that the sixteen year old girl joined this incarnation of heroes… Abilities As the byproduct of Professor Kenneth Utonium’s chemical formula known as “X”, Blossom’s metagene has evolved to a high level that facilitates a variety of powers that grants her superhuman abilities that have likely yet to reach their threshold. Such abilities include buy may not be limited to: superhuman strength and durability, control of her personal gravitational field that allows flight, ice breath, microscopic vision, and perhaps a small healing factor. Blossom also holds a tenth to eleventh level intellect and has since she was six years old. With the admission of psychological damage and personal restraint the full effectiveness of these powers are not at one-hundred percent. Personality The aftermath of Townsville’s apparent destruction has left Blossom less decisive, emotionally distraught, and enigmatically confused. This of course puts Blossom at odds with her greatest benefit which is and has been her lawful, logical, and tactical mindset that has allowed her to be quick to a problem and efficient in dealing with it. However, her ability to be as tactical as she used to be is significantly compromised considering the large sense of turmoil with the city she grew up being wiped off the map, her sisters nowhere to be found over the course of entire years, and no memory to account for either of these events. Even amongst new friends and allies, the lingering questions remain in Blossom’s mind as she struggles with finding the answers. Conscripted amongst a new “team”, she finds herself doubting everything around her despite being in the company of heroes and helping the world as those who she idolized as a child would. When Blossom leaves her problems at the table as best as she can she still exhumes a sense of superiority which can lend her to act condescending, “bossy”, and dismissive. But between keeping herself in check and new friends like Dexter McPherson she believes it is all a step in the right direction. Appearance Through the turmoil of time, not much has changed with Blossom outside of perhaps attire and the wear and tear of the events Blossom has had to deal with. Her eyes, once a bright and perhaps optimistic pink have now dulled to the cynical consequences of the world around her which says much about the girl’s demeanor in the present day. Clothing choice is still partial to her childhood, which can be related to a nostalgic sense that she holds; she has coats of pink and purple with scarfs of red and pink. Affiliations Dexter McPherson – The “boy genius” who has been compared to the likes of Tony Stark and Lex Luthor, Dexter comes from a small city in the Midwest of which he likes to keep quiet about. He doesn’t speak often about his family or his life as one of the brightest minds in the world. Initially he worked with Blossom during a crisis whilst the Titans and other hero groups were unavailable to aid. Such crisis defense made both Blossom and Dexter recruited to the Titans after the event was over. Dexter is quiet, dense, and over-analytical which can make him frustrating to talk with. XJ-9, Jenny Wakeman – One of Blossom’s friends and occasional allies. Not a member of the Titans. Dexter considers her an asset. Eugene Utonium – Blossom’s caretaker, uncle, and legal guardian after her father’s death.

Roleplay
Gotham City Stories

Quote
“You need a good kick to the head, don’t you?”

Name
Caroline “Carrie” Keene Kelley

Alias
n/a

Age
13 (April 1st, 2002)

Occupation
Student, Hamilton Hill High School

Skills & Abilities
Acrobatics – Given her neighborhood and history, Carrie has found skill in maintaining mobility in an urban environment through parkour movement which involves a constant of running, jumping, and climbing. This lends to a skill that allows her to get out of sticky situations such as when she was seemingly surrounded by a group of thugs to which she escaped by simply outmaneuvering them.

Fighting – A bit of a tomboy with a penchant to react aggressively due to the lack of a proper home life, Carrie in combination with her experience, intelligence, and agility is a capable fighter; particularly in her brand of street fighting. This is only accelerated by the more violent situations her neighborhood has been providing due to the constant increase of crime by street gangs and organized crime factions such as the one run by Edward Skeevers.

First Aid – Through a brief period with the Girl Scouts of America, Carrie learned how to do a variety of skills including basic first aid.

Intelligence – Noted by one of her teachers at her high school, Horace Westlake, Carrie is said to have a greater intelligence then she lets on with the likelihood of given her personality and home life lending it to not being desired or challenged in application. Despite her unapplied skills she maintains excellent grades in her classes without much effort which can be proven due to her early admittance to high school.

Investigation – Due to her intelligence and patience, Carrie has the tenacity to be a keen investigator. This is landed to her by perceptive skills. This assessment is fairly correct as Carrie has found herself in situations able to reason, and deduce a solution or answer quite efficiently and quickly. She was the first one among her friends group to discover that Harper Row’s father was working for Edward Skeevers and that “fever” had been running through her school by local street gangs.

Marksmanship – With thrown objects such as rocks and her slingshot, Carrie is a keen marksman.

MultilingualismSort of. Carrie Kelley is adept at the street language of The Bowery/East End area where terminology. It is perhaps the only language she currently knows but she has picked up quite a bit from her experience in High School within Spanish crowds and her own language class. Time will tell.

Stealth – Through trial and error as well as advice from her friend, Harper Row, Carrie has learned that in some scenarios it is best to keep her head low and be quiet. This is a skill learned only somewhat recently when she got involved with a small street gang briefly to find out who had been funneling drugs called “fever” into her community.

Equipment
Collapsible Sling – Easily concealed, Carrie has in her possession a sturdy but cheap slingshot that can be mounted on the wrist with a few minor modifications which Carrie has already made given a few incidents that forced her to use the object in certain situations. In addition it seems to be particularly nostalgic for her, so whilst obtuse in combat scenarios she prizes it amongst her few items she owns.

Personality & History
Caroline Kelley was born in the Bowery of Gotham City to two unassuming lower class parents who initially found the birth of their daughter as a godsend despite of their rough financial situation with Mr. Kelley being a late night custodian at Ace Chemicals. Through a looking glass it would seem that Caroline would have an ordinary life in a lower income neighborhood; but then it must be reminded that the city she lived in was still very much Gotham and the neighborhood known as The Bowery was amongst the worst neighborhood for crime and drug trafficking, only being slightly better than East End and Chinatown. Truly this child’s life was doomed to be ridden with some degree of issue from the beginning— it was just a matter of time.

When she was six years old she met a girl named Cleo Starr who became fast friends with the red-headed tomboy, which only foreshadowed their relationship years later. It was her relationship with Cleo that allowed her to learn life skills in the Girl Scouts whom her friend’s mother was involved with when the time for the year came around to it despite the costs of living in the low wealth neighborhood of The Bowery, who saw it not only as an escape for the girls but important to their development. As the girls aged through elementary school it became evident that Carrie had a knack for causing trouble where trouble didn’t exist (a rare thing in the Bowery) and by the age of ten she had been in a small handful of skirmishes with boys and girls alike—though her parents didn’t care, which perhaps one of the reasons she found herself getting into trouble; this lack of parentage at home mixed with the toxic social environment of The Bowery. There was a learning experience in these physical altercations however as she found that boys tended to be stronger than her, which quickly made her realize she had to be faster than them.

Fast forward several ears later, Caroline is a freshman at Hamilton Hill High School in the same neighborhood she has been accustomed to—but a dangerous element has moved in—a street gang called “The Mutants” who have encroached on the territory of the “Demonz” which causes concern as Carrie’s small part of The Bowery finds itself in the middle of a gang war with a powerful drug called “Fever” thrown as an x-factor; an x-factor that gets her best friend thrown into the emergency room at Gotham General and between the years of vigilante influence and her own anger at the drug infiltrating not only her parents but her best friend, finds herself inspired to get to the bottom of things and somehow stop it before it destroys what she has left. Befriending Harper Row in the process of investigation into her high school and the Mutants influence amongst the students and some of the faculty. The next step into her solution would lead her towards a situation that was way too dangerous for her own good...

Carrie Kelley doesn’t have a vigilante alias, a costume, or an arsenal. She just knows someone has to figure something out.

Character Arcs
“Fever” – After infiltrating a small clique in her high school, Carrie has already deduced that the funneling of the drug is due to the influence of a relatively new gang by the name of “The Mutants” whose cheap production of the drug has cemented their power in the low income neighborhoods of Gotham that Carrie is from. Inspired by vigilantism efforts of various heroes she decides to continue her investigation for better or worse…

Extra
Kaye Daye – Friend with an interest in writing, fan of the Basil Karlo novels.
Cleo Starr – Best friend, initially Carrie's conscience and inspiration.
Harper Row – Acquaintance, student with aspiring skill in mechanical engineering.
Ruby Ryder – Friend, tended to get Carrie involved with the wrong crowds in middle school.

David W. Levitski

“They’re hungry and sick, yeah, so what, I have a solution right here with this baseball bat.”

Name:
Detective David Levitski

Age:
52

Gender:
Male

Sexuality:
Heterosexual

Honest Abrasive Inquisitive Condescending

Personality:
David Levitski is a man who believes that the world is unequivocally shit; that people are born inherently bad and that the people who try to look for the good in others are naïve children dancing around with a delusional imagination. It is because of that fundamental viewpoint that David’s views are entirely centered upon and anybody with an opposing view he naturally presumes is an idiot— a fact that has come up often in his long-tested career as a police detective to varying results and consequences. David is honest, albeit abrasive and crass, but honest— a fact that can seem a bit confrontational, antagonistic, and needlessly offensive. Sometimes he doesn’t know the difference between the hard truth and just being a jerk, but given his attitude he might actually know that he’s being judgmental and offensive; he just might not care.

David is also generally prone to excessive notions of violence, condescension, and wildly vitriolic sarcastic remarks. It is with this anger that it is shown that David is avid in his dedication, resilience, and tenacity— so much it goes to a level of ruthlessness. He is the guy who gets the job done with results even if the path to the finishing line is littered with broken windows and burnt down sheds; his diligence is admirable, his preference towards being brutal and ruthless are not. But for some reason David’s never been outed as corrupt or out of his bounds. IAA has investigated him several times in the past fifteen years with not even a suspension to David’s name for just that reason.

Whilst his aforementioned traits are generally despicable and unpleasing, there is a man underneath David that longs for peace and order. He values people who are hard workers and get to the point, and tends not to condescend actual children. Also, as far as those new to him know, he has a charming outer shell that appears to be a kind middle-aged man despite his inner chaos and “true self”. He may not value the world as it should be, but he will never succumb to deception of lies or betrayal of those he considers valuable as allies. He’s got some duality to him, for sure.

Hobbies & Interests:
David has a few hobbies that he indulges in with his time off, but most of all of them that he is involved with is his locksmithing. The old cop collects old lockpicking sets and tends to enjoy cracking locks in his spare time; a strange hobby for a cop, for sure. He comments that it “keeps his hands busy” among other things. Elsewise, David is pretty simple— he likes books that tend to be crime pulp novels, older films, he plays acoustic guitar (and has since he was a kid), and occasionally coaches baseball to involve himself in the community beyond his role as a police detective.

Likes & Dislikes:
+ Folk & Jazz Music
+ Efficiency
+ Women
+ Honesty

- Naïve Optimism
- Wasted Time
- Crooks
- Patience

Other:
As a career cop David has collected various skills such as familiarity with handguns & revolvers, investigation talents for picking up on clues in people as well as the environment, occasional lock-picking, and breaking limbs with baseball bats. Wait, what? Truth be told, David was not a “by-the-book” detective in his early career years and in fact was kind of a “thug with a badge” detective in his past where he was known to use intimidation and physical assault in many situations to get what he wanted. If the situation needed this arsonist to have a three broken fingers to get some information then David would break four. Despite this sense of ruthlessness, David is good at his job as his skills make obvious. It is presumed that his old age and change of scenery has mellowed him some, but there's always something can make a man snap.
  • Criminology
  • Intimidation
  • Investigation
  • Lockpicking
  • Marksmanship [Handguns]

Biography:
A man as long-lived as David Levitski could publish a novel of his escapades and life experiences alone. This of course is something David Levitski would rather not occur as he would rather not be judged by his new neighbors for what he achieved throughout his childhood and adulthood. Born to a Polish immigrant following the Second World War named Waclaw Levitski in 1963, David would be the eldest of several siblings raised in a lower income class household that had much conflict inside and out. His father was an abhorrent and abusive alcoholic who struggled from one job to the next—from general labor to distribution line factory work and so on thus when the next time his father lost a job nobody in the family was sure if they were going to leave the city they were used to or if another one in the area would repeat the process. It came to a point when David’s mother divorced his father and they moved to a more stable (relatively speaking) environment permanently around 1974.

David’s new environment was crime-ridden and tough on his mother, especially considering the stigma that still existed amongst divorced women trying to pick themselves up in the era. Perhaps it was here in his mother, Ashley Levitski, where David learned an admiration for hard work ethic since his father was so careless and arbitrary to the point where David didn’t care for him. In a chance encounter in the local park David found himself at odds when he attacked a boy over a name he called his mother to the point he told him that he would “erase his face” – he was interrupted before doing so by a police officer by the name of Thomas O’Reilly, who would be his first father figure.

The time passed in the inner city and under the guidance of the “old school” police officer David found himself joining the Police Department and aspiring to keep his burning temper under control within the confines of the law and if so necessary unleash it on those who deserved it—for not out of a sense of morality, but just desserts. David’s talents were soon discovered in these formative years as he found a knack for noticing things that other officers didn’t which eventually served him well when he was promoted to Detective fairly early on in his career, though due to politics and relationships with his superior’s daughter he found promotion climbing any further was quite unlikely. Still David found himself enjoying the work with every thumb he cracked or head he slammed into a table—as if he was exerting some weird power fantasy over his abusive childhood with his father. Nonetheless, time went on.

In time David found his younger brother, Richard, following in his footsteps—though in his time away from home his brother had taken to weird senses of optimistic morality and found himself clashing with his older brother during holiday gatherings in which they debated perspective. Admittedly, David was abrasive and patronizing towards his own sibling and likened his intelligence to inanimate objects in an attempt to give himself a reason to beat his brother down. However, Richard didn’t snap proving himself to be the better man. Still the siblings found themselves at odds with each other for many years up to through the childhood of Richard’s first son which he named after himself.

The time as a cop carried on and David continued to see people for how they really were—selfish, manipulative, deceitful, arrogant, pig-headed, out for themselves, and ultimately pretty terrible people. For every criminal he met he saw at least one aspect of his father in them which only made it all the easier to trait them with such vitriol. “Guilty until proven Innocent.” he figured about these people. As time toiled onwards things began to change such as his partner in the squad car, shifting from “old school” detectives like Andrew Tate to “new school” detectives like Joseph Atkins and Miranda Beake. The world kept proving itself to David however and he never strayed from how he believed. The years moved on. He moved to a new city— Dixie Inn.

David has been in Dixie Inn for twelve years, attempting what he did before, hoping to find a slower-paced smaller city to really sink his teeth into and relax. Despite having the tooth to continue it up north he wanted something different and Dixie Inn most certainly fit that definition.

SIBELA

Name:
Sibela Zheitk

Age:
Mid-to-Late Twenties

Gender:
Female

Race:
Hylian

Appearance:
A quintessential Hylian, Sibela Zheitk is still appears fairly well despite a decade or so of hardening and conditioning by facing the ire of criminals in the streets of Hyrule. The Zheitk dynasty has had its fair share of opportunistic adventurers, hireswords, and village rangers thus making Sibela’s pedigree of a warrior creed not at all out of character. However despite her formidability she is not particularly large (five foot seven). Despite this she does have a refined strength due to her time conditioning and wielding weaponry and basic armor. Sibela is used to wielding weapons and when off-duty does not go far from her blade, even in non-threatening environments; said blade is a well-crafted sword of Hylian make that lacks much for appearance due to her former rank in the Hylian Guard.

Personality:
Perhaps what represents Sibela the most is the tenacity to persevere and be resilient against all that the world throws at her. From surviving in the slums of Castle Town to Ganondorf’s assault on Hyrule Castle to the Kakariko Massacare— Sibela is most definitely resilient. Most people who have survived even a fraction of her experiences have turned out darker, bleaker, and pessimistic individuals but Sibela holds on to her ideals that have made her survive as long as they have; these ideals representing hope, bravery, and determination. But being hopeful and optimistic does not mean Sibela is naïve by any means; she’s witnessed death, misery, hopelessness, and dread; she knows how the world works and the consequences of those who try to survive in the shadow of Ganondorf’s tyranny. So it is with a clear mind she travels, holding on to the courage that allows her to move forward; courage that exists to inspire. The world may be a blackened wasteland, but if you don’t let the world define you perhaps you can push for a better one.

Expanding on Sibela’s optimism lies a cheery, albeit weary smile that exudes a personality of fearlessness, quirk, and kindness. As aforementioned this is a way Sibela can move forward for if she allows the darkness to consume her then she will be nothing and those who depend on her will have no reminder of the world as it once was. It is, that in actuality, Sibela’s whole reason for giving a pseudo-façade for people to witness— the world you knew and the world you deserve is not dead as long as you are alive. Sibela cannot believe her brothers are dead, nor that Ganondorf is undefeatable. She refuses that belief and will fight anyone who dares to suggest it.

Background:
Sibela grew up in the slums of Hyrule’s capital, her father falling into poverty soon after the death of his wife and the birth of Sibela’s twin siblings, Rokon and Dozal. However, the children of Turuk would soon find themselves in peril as their father looked to a man named Mozas for help. Mozas was a shifty merchant who allowed loans in exchange for favors and debt, but in the slums of the capital there was hardly many opportunities. Mozas told Turuk he had six cycles of a year to pay him back, but when the time came up and all of the income earned back (and ready to be exchanged) was stolen Mozas was not pleased and told his men to clean up his loose end—a fate Turuk knew would be coming as he sent his children to hide as enforcers came upon him in an alleyway of the slums as his children were hidden nearby. The end result was tragic and Sibela and her brothers would never forget.

With her father losing their life to Mozas and his “kindness”, it left Sibela and her two siblings alone and distraught within the slums of Hyrule’s capital. The hate burning within the thirteen year old girl was strong and it was with that strength that she dedicated herself to keeping her family alive by any means that were not relying on the merchant and con man who had ruined their lives. Though the difficult of such a task was hardly easy and the challenge changed throughout ever day thereon as it seemed she would be doomed to the life of a street urchin. There were days where she wanted to end it all and wallow in the shadows of the Hyrule cemetery— to take the sword of her ancestors and kill herself as well as what remained of her family before the gods in an act of desperate hopelessness. Her father’s stories about heroism, prevailing against the darkness, and the mythic tales of the hero of Hyrule himself kept Sibela from not committing such a thing and in the coming years she would come to be glad for it.

In the following weeks, Sibela would find her destiny changed as she picked the pockets of an off-duty guardsman named Ukal who chased the young Hylian straight back to her den where her brothers found themselves starving and in ill shape. Assuming Ukal was going to take back his food and coin from his rucksack she had there in an instant instinctively retrieved the sword she had kept hiding nearby in case she would ever need to use it. Ukal was decidedly amused, but enraged as well—but he was not angered by Sibela, but rather the circumstances where these children would need to do such a thing. It was there he adopted the children before him and began his odd mentorship of Sibela herself. It was here not too long after Sibela had considered ending their lives that they found their hope and a new home to live in, it nearly broke the young girl’s emotions flat.

Ukal saw great promise in the child who wielded a sword to protect herself and others with no hesitation, and knew great things would come out of her if he could guide her. This would in part begin Sibela’s training to become a guardsman in the shadow of this mentor that Ukal would become—though it would be several years before she would join the ranks of that aforementioned guard. Her soon-to-be mentor’s training was admittedly fierce and unforgiving, but she knew that if she could survive her father’s death at the hands of a vicious murderer then she could power through this and perhaps bring Mozas to justice much like Ukal brought other motley criminals to justice every day. Sibela never complained about it, her eyes on the end goal of bringing her nemesis to justice and her father’s death avenged.

Several years later, Sibela found herself recruited to be a member of the town guard of the capital. Within the early years within the guard she found her training by Ukal had prepared her far greater than others of her equivalent age who had only been taught the basics by the required training courses. Sibela’s drive for justice given to her from her childhood earned her a rigid reputation from the younger recruits who were more loose and playful, who had only joined the guard for the income that it provided (even if said income was not too grandiose); said rigid reputation was shot back with ire by the female Hylian who found her youthful comrades as “lazy” and “lacking purpose and drive”. In the early years of her role as a guard she found herself investigating Mozas himself, which had become a decrepit old man who had nearly lost all of what he had only a decade and a half earlier; an appearance that made Sibela nearly amused with pity. It wasn’t an easy job and turning Mozas in helped a bit of her pain, though his former partners in crime were still out there and the ones that played a part in her father’s death and ruin would be ones she would spend a near decade bringing down.

Time had passed, and her mentor had retired— her brothers were adults now, fashioning into careers of their own (Rokon had become an adventurer like his grandfather and Dozal had become a hiresword for a reputable guild) and much of the justice that she had vowed to bring had been brought. Mozas sat in a Hylian stockade and much of his accomplices had fallen into a similar fate, disappeared, or died resisting arrest. Life had pretty much settled and was as good as it could be— until the whole world went up in flames. The world was in peril at the hands of Ganondorf once again as prophesied. Sibela was twenty years old when she led a defense of the people of Castle Town before she was forced to retreat— a fact she was rather disappointed with in the end result. She had trained herself to help others since she was taken in and here she was unable to do anything significant in helping the realm.

She was as helpless as she had been when her father was murdered.

But she pushed on— with communication cut off from her siblings she hoped that they themselves would not get ensnared by Ganondorf’s forces, though the thought of them being dead plagued her nightmares frequently as she like many other Hylian’s regrouped in Kakariko Village; and for as long as it took she reinforced the village as best as she could as a volunteer. Her tutelage as a member of the Town Guard of Castle Town gaining her renown and influence despite being comparatively so young to others who did the same. But Kakariko Village needed all the heroes it could take as they were sure that Ganondorf’s moblin army would soon be at their doorsteps. When Kakariko’s time came, Sibela instead of standing firm once again fled but this time it was not her choice but rather an order directly from Impa herself. Seeing the dire situation and utilizing Sibela’s sense of duty, Impa told the blonde-haired Hylian to evacuate who she could and fight for another day. Despite feeling like a doomed coward, Sibela pressed on and avoided an untimely death at the Kakariko Massacare.

Ending up in Oasis, Sibela attempted to find her center— opting out of repeating her mistakes and joining the Resistance’s makeshift Guard. Trying to look optimistically towards the future and the fight against Ganondorf she began exploring after setting up her new home in Oasis. In addition to needing to find purpose in her existence again she needed to know both of her brother’s fate. So she began revisiting their last known locations, gathering clues and contacts out in what was left of civilization beyond Oasis. Retracing Rokon’s steps to a ruined temple she didn’t find what she was looking for; but something had found her. A Fragment of Courage; a piece of the legendary triforce that had been shattered before it vanished. What did this mean? What was this destiny?

She was honored… scared… but honored.

Sibela pushes forward with a heightened sense of purpose— not only will she find her brothers and learn of their fate, but she would stop Ganondorf. The god’s had deemed her worthy.

Skills:
Streetwise: At thirteen years of age, Sibela had to survive in the slums of Castle Town following the death of her father and her subsequent homelessness. In addition to taking care of herself she also took care of her younger brothers which required her to steal enough food and water to survive consistently for several weeks until she was adopted by a Hylian guard by the name of Mozas. Whilst her sense of survival skills in this manner are admittedly ones she doesn’t call on often— they do exist as optionable skills.

Hylian Guard: Trained by Mozas and conditioned by her peers since the age of fifteen, Sibela has all of the knowledge and skills appropriate for a guardsman. In addition to familiarity of the sword, shield, and fist she is adept in knowing Castle Town in all of its functions. Although her knowledge of former criminal factions is irrelevant in the present, if she ever would return to Castle Town she would know all of the subtle passageways and entry points including alleys, sewers, and so forth.

Adventurer: Following the path of her brother, Rokon, as well as her ancestors Sibela is a lightly seasoned adventurer and whilst she is no expert of temple traps, creatures, and maps she is competent enough not to get killed outright in a temple or ruin.

Magic:
N/A

Gear:
Requiem: The weapon most comfortable in Sibela’s hands and also qualifies as a dynastic heirloom that her grandfather had used during his adventures within the realm. Requiem is a Hylian Long Sword pressed in steel and faded with the colors of the kingdom—the royal blue and gold being hardly vibrant to the eye due to age and worn nature of the hilt. Requiem is meant to be wielded alongside a shield, though her grandfather used it with two hands. Despite the national colors, there is nothing regal about the sword itself and only the most foolish lowborn man or woman would assume otherwise.

Hylian Shield: Not an expected weapon, Sibela’s former mentor trained her to use it like one as the unexpected utility of an item can lead to saving one’s life in tricky situations. The dexterity and strength wielded by her training and experience has led her to be adaptable and confident in many scenarios where she could’ve found herself in perilous danger.

Cloak: Protects Sibela from harsh weather, cold temperature, and serves as a makeshift blanket when needed.

Knife & Canteen: Attached to her belt is a canteen of water and a knife for quick defense or utility.

Rucksack: Carries individual supplies and equipment that can’t be attached directly to her belt. Said supplies included include small supply of food rations, a sleeping roll for comfort in the field, and a sharpening tool for blades.

Weaknesses:
Psyche: Sibela has a lot of weights and flaws on her shoulders despite being a well-seasoned and trained swordsman. Whilst she exudes a bright and optimistic personality there is a darkness that dwells within her to succumb to the harsh and unforgiving world— to admit that her brothers are dead and the relentless onslaught of Ganondorf will consume all. In many ways this constantly assaults Sibela in her thoughts and through her nightmares thus attacking her psyche one bit at a time. It is hard to believe that Sibela could give in to hopelessness, but the possibility is there and she knows it well despite her attempts to outwardly ignore it.

Limited Experience: Sibela did not leave Castle Town until Ganondorf revealed his intentions and changed the world for the worse— and due to this Sibela lacks real experience with ruins, temples, geographic areas beyond Kakariko Village, Hyrule Castle, and Castle Town. She will need a veteran dungeon crawler or ranger to really make sense of things beyond her depth.

Limited Skillset: Sibela knows how to use a sword, knife, and shield. She has elementary knowledge of archery at best and is hardly a thief (though she is halfway competent at stealth), ranger, or magic user. What Sibela knows she knows very well and what she doesn’t she is generally ignorant of.

Roleplay
Foundations

Name
Valene Imelia “Imele” Primrose

Age
19

Race
Meran

Ethnicity
Gerbil

Homeworld
Mera

Birthplace
Primrose Keep, City of Liliac

Appearance & Personality
A few years ago Princess Valene would’ve been the typical independent princess with brawn to match brains. However, in the time since the experiences she has had in such a short while has tempered and hardened her and it shows on her appearance. Her soft blue eyes have become icy and her beautiful dark hair has gone rough to the touch. Despite such hardening Princess Valene still looks attractive enough to be noticeably cut above the standard smuggler and thief. Valene stands at 5’6”.

Even back in her childhood, Princess Valene was fiercely independent with a taste for adventure and trouble. This was attempted to be reigned in by discipline and study, but it didn’t change her in the way her parents and mentors would’ve preferred. She’s headstrong, assertive, and stubborn-- leading a passionate aggression down the corridors of starships and space stations. However, she is not without feeling as can be seen how she looks back on her admittedly tragic memories. Losing her parents and siblings to war and treachery to only be forced to flee for her own survival has left an abhorrent disgust in her heart; towards herself and her enemies. In addition to that she is also decidedly cautious, rarely trusting people completely out front given that one of her closest friends now sits on a throne that lies now on top of Primrose blood.

Skills & Abilities
Swordsmanship - Valene was trained from an early age by the royal guard of her dynasty as was asked of them by her father. She took to it well and would as she got older call upon sword practice as her most favored pastime and by Meran conventions is quite skilled and talented.

Galactic Experience - Hardened by the galaxy and her experiences, Imele has learned how to survive in obscurity as she has become something of a fringer. She knows the ideal choice to conflict is to shoot first and ask questions later, take what you need to survive, and to be careful for who you trust.

Royal Guard Conditioning - In addition to her swordplay, Valene’s body and reflexes have been honed to be able to react and guard against a variety of scenarios. It is due to this that her speed and perception have become quite astute. Her time in the galaxy at large has only edged out these skills even more.

Royal Knowledge - Valene has been educated by the high nobility with some of the most acclaimed scholars on Mera to aid in her education. These scholars also gave her some degree of knowledge within galactic space as somewhat of a scare tactic; telling her stories of ignorant men and women who were taken by the dangers of the decidedly deceptive galaxy.

Biography
Valene Primrose was born the third child to the monarch of The Black Lily on the planet Mera, a feudalistic world where the higher nobility looked to the stars with curiosity. The Primrose Dynasty was one of obedience and order, something that made Princess Valene’s childhood quite standout as she took the suffocating environment as oppressive and developed a passionate personality due to it. A passionate personality that also found itself wild and full of curiosity which could only be put into check by the respect she had for her eldest brother, Edric the III, the heir to the throne. Edric was stubborn and assertive, but never talked down to others no matter their ethnicity or gender. As her childhood expanded there became many ways her parents and mentors tried to reign her in so to maintain the presentation of a ‘proper’ princess; this would include introducing hobbies and interests that would most often fail to amuse her in the slightest. That is, of course, until she starting becoming fascinated with the royal guard themselves. Declaring herself “Queen Guard” at the age of eleven years she began lessons that would indeed reign in her outbursts and emotions that believed were being oppressed.

It wouldn’t be until she was sixteen when all of the discipline, passion, and order in her life would collapse in what seemed like an instant. An army bearing the flags of the Kingdom of The Red Rose invaded and nobody could imagine why. But the messengers they sent were sent back to King Edric the II with arrows in their back or daggers in their gut-- a worrying sign. This “small” war would indeed seem perilous and when it cost Prince Tidus his own life it became evident that there was no turning back. Whatever the circumstances or the deck stacked against them, the Primrose Dynasty now had their hands tied. Sending Valene into space with two royal guardsman Eron Rinorea seemed to be their last ditch resort when Queen Imelia found herself with little options. And so it would be that Valene would be pushed away from everything she ever knew, just like she wanted when she was a child; a bitter irony.

Traveling through Kreat Station, Valene found the next three years of her life to be hell; and the galaxy treated her as it always did to others, harshly and with no forgiveness. As time withered on she became more hardened as she found the barrel of a gun aimed right at her head. In the time since she has found her companion, Eron in critical medical condition as she fears that her past has caught up with her...

Roleplay:
Till the Snow Falls

Name
Raremashita Kamiko

Age
14

Gender
Female

Physical Description:
With long black hair and standing at five foot even, Raremashita Kamiko stands over… nobody, really. Physically she hasn’t really been conditioned to run and especially hasn’t been trained to endure physically taxing situations like combat. On ceremonial occasions her dress can be even more extravagant and her hair can be strewn into a formal hairstyle but for the most part she prefers it long over restrained.

Skillset:
At fourteen years of age it is no surprise that the skills Kamiko holds are not in great quantity. However, she does have an edge over many despite her ignorance of the world at large due to the fact she had never left her castle until the siege that set the Raremashita Clan ablaze; thus lending to a lack of knowledge and naivety of how her father had been running the realm, economic consequences, and peasant life in general. On the offset, Kamiko is not unintelligent as she appears to be just the opposite with skills of deductive reasoning, logical thinking, and degrees of knowledge strictly “restricted” to nobility. Physically speaking Kamiko is quick but weak, allowing herself a decent dexterity but nothing compared to a shinobi of even relative age.
  • Intelligent
  • Perceptive
  • Quick

History:
Born in the midst of winter in 1554, Raremashita Kamiko is the de jure heir of her clan and the lands of Hiroaki and for the majority of her life would never step foot away from her home at Raremashita Castle. She is the third child of her father, the first being her elder brother (Raremashita Toshiyuki, b. 1542) who was declared dead during the 2nd Gekido Uprising-- the second being her elder sister (Raremashita Makoto, b.1546) the wife of Torikku Tadao, a minor lord in southern Japan.

With several years of a difference between her older siblings, Kamiko was the unexpected child. When she was five years old a sickness grasped her mother, taking her away from the world. The sadness she felt was something she didn’t later learn could be filled with distractions such as games of the mind; which is where her affinity for thought and intrigue was immediately discovered. She continued to develop her intellect as time went on, but with her brother distant from her and her sister several provinces away it left her education on her heartbroken father and the scholars he had as retainers. This, of course, was one of the reasons for her growing ignorance and arrogance as the scholars would teach her one-sided philosophies and by proxy increase her ego and pride through pseudo-answers and superfluous compliments as well as half-truths.

It was then in due time that war finally came to Hiroaki as the consequences of the Gekido Uprising many years prior had finally re-emerged in the form of the lone survivor of the Gekido Clan. However, Kamiko thought nothing of another “peasant uprising” believing it to be something of no concern as the Gekido Clan had been handled before as she was told by her educators and family. During the war known as the 2nd Gekido Uprising the young girl found herself concerned with fueling her educational pursuits as well as continuing to win games of logic against her elders. Kamiko took no studies in archery, advanced martial arts, or weapon arts as she truly did believe such things beneath a future ruler like herself: the best weapon was the individual’s intellect after all… or so she believed. As the weeks turned into months, the shadows of the Gekido seemed more fierce than ever before, the realm began to shift. Kamiko returned to her studies and games, oblivious to what was coming.

Fire, smoke, and death: the war had finally come to Raremashita Castle, something that Kamiko had thought inconceivable. After all, what rabble could possibly infringe on her lands and take away her servants from her? She was angry but also quite afraid as the reality of an improbable result was upon her and her family, a reality that would take her brother's own life on that same day. Her worst fears and frustrations came true when she was called to her father’s chambers as his most trusted retainers stood there with eyes on her. She wasn’t stupid, knowing full well what was happening as she was forced to flee the castle. She didn’t shed one tear as she screamed in anger as fire consumed the castle and the siege against her family had concluded.

So it began.

Psychological Profile:
Raremashita Kamiko is self-absorbed, arrogant, impatient, proud, egocentric, and naive to many things outside of her small comfort zone. In many words she is a stereotypical noble heir of Japan. However, as is obvious by the recent treachery by her clan’s enemies she is in a very precarious emotional state right now as she struggles with the pride of never showing weakness and the very emotionally devastating reality that everything she knows is gone with the people who cared for her; to skirt the line of anger, pride, despair, and hate is a psychologically taxing one indeed, especially for a child no matter how “mature” or “intelligent” they dare to attempt to seem.

Roleplay
Brothers All

Name
Enu'falu | Enufa Lu-Vizsla

Age
21

Gender
Female

Species
Twi'lek

Combat Role
Support

Years in Mynock Squad
1

Appearance
Standing at 1.6 meters (5’3”) and 131 pounds, Enu’falu doesn’t tower over the majority of her teammates if any of them at all. With her young age she isn’t particularly battle-worn in appearance outside of a few cuts from vibroblade brawls and blaster fire. Her eyes are an icy blue much like her complexion and skin tone with light angular markings on her tendrils which extend past a metallic headband that was once her mother’s. When outside of her armor her appearance is likened much to that of a fringer or freight smuggler with a long jacket, tunic, and utility belt. Cosmetically she does not favor the superfluous or excessive.

Skills and Abilities
  • Bounty Hunter
Trained from a young age with a wealth of experience in combat and non-combat by Mekket Vizsla, Enu’falu has very distinct knowledge and skills. This is not to say she is a master bounty hunter or mercenary but she is skilled enough to be competent at it. Tracking, predicting target psychology, information gathering, and ambush tactics are all part of her skillset.
  • Uncanny Reflexes
Due to her conditioning and training by Mekket Vizsla, the twi’lek has found herself faster than most with good instinctive reflexes and perception of her surroundings which has allowed her to avoid critical injury in senseless brawls with her betters. However she isn’t as fast as she used to be given that she is an adult and not an adolescent.
  • Tough Learner
Enu’falu has trouble learning quickly, which admittedly is not a good trait in a potential hunter or mercenary. In tight spots she will rely on a proven method of success rather than adapting in a pinch which can be quite problematic.

Equipment
  • Mekket's Mandalorian Helmet
  • Mandalorian Shock Armor
  • Aratech Heavy Blaster
  • GXW Blaster Carbine
  • Grenade Belt
  • Toolkit
  • Vibroknife

History
Enu’falu had a childhood that wasn’t particularly idyllic, but it wasn’t terrible—or it wasn’t until her father found himself on the unintended receiving end of blaster fire from a panicked target of a bounty. Given her mother’s death three years prior this left Enu orphaned on a backwater planet and at age seven would’ve been left to the elements of the underbelly of the planet if not for the guilt of the bounty hunter who indirectly caused her father’s death. This bounty hunter was a Mandalorian named Mekket, a veteran hireling from the infamous Vizsla Clan, and the man she would come to know as her second “father”. Despite this guilt and debt he thought he owed the young twi’lek, Mekket also found himself in an ill situation to raise a child in-between jobs as a bounty hunter/mercenary, his cynical worldview, a lack of experience with children, and poor time to do it. For a time he searched for a better home for the child but by the time he had found something remotely suitable found himself decidedly attached to the point he changed his mind about not raising her himself.

In time Mekket knew he had to prepare Enu if she was going to be able to do anything after his time had come and his final fight had passed. It was here that he began instilling Mandalorian values in her as well as constantly conditioning her as a hunter and fighter. Despite Enu’s difficulty learning quickly, constant training and lectures began to prepare her in several ways—even if Mekket had not birthed her himself he most certainly had a child of his own, something that kept him pushing her harder and harder as his expectations had to be met. After all, the galaxy was far more harsh and unforgiving than any difficult session of training. Following his private mentorship, Mekket began taking Enu on his contracts—explaining the occupation, what it demanded, and the consequences of failing; and seeing it point blank was far easier to grasp than being told like she had been previously. She operated as his pseudo-partner on these jobs and in time she did well despite some failures in the beginning that cost Mekket partial vision in his left eye. Consequences, indeed.

However, a fit of nostalgia and duty had been filling Mekket’s heart—one unrelated to his newfound daughter-partner. This was of course, the precedent of the raids that led up to the Mandalorian Wars. Enu couldn’t agree more with her adopted father due to what he had taught her and how he had in a way told her how to think. She was Mandalorian in many ways already, so with an eager hunger the duo found themselves on Dxun— where he had all of the rites enforced upon his non-inducted daughter. It was 3971 BBY. The training on Dxun was not easy and as Mekket set off to join the war himself with her on Dxun she found adrenaline and drive in her desire to make him proud—he had raised her since she was seven years old after all. She would go on to endure the Mandalorian training rites and earn respect, when she saw Mekket again he had given her his helmet as a keepsake: to keep her pushing on even if they were apart. After a modification the helmet became her own and she kept it close.

After a series of battles and surviving assaults where her comrades had perishes the higher command took an interest to her skills and looked to the vacancy of a role in the well-regarded Mynock Squad. To which she began serving under Rika Lapaz starting in 3963 BBY. It has been a year since, and the story carries on…

Psychological Analysis
Deflecting emotional issues with sarcastic snark, Enu finds trouble opening up to others. She’s admittedly abrasive and difficult, choosing to be rash and stubborn over obedient and open to new ideas. However, she does get decidedly positive results despite her difficult psychosis. She was admitted to the squad for her results and perhaps the benefit of working with others in a team climate to better her own cooperativeness. Perhaps it is due to only enduring loss that this rigid shell was born, or perhaps it was the mentorship by Mekket Vizsla and how he explained people to her in her childhood who himself had decidedly cynical views of the universe. Despite all of that however she does have virtues of courage, honor, guile, and loyalty – though it would take certain circumstances to breed such behaviors such as comfortability, friendship, or nostalgia.

Name/Nickname:

Imele Moyen

Age (DOB):

17

Gender:

Female

Race/Species:

Empowered Human

Height/Weight:

5’4” / 134 LBS

Appearance:

Imele looks like a young woman who has lost much and bears a significant pain in her beaten blue eyes. Bringing a presence into every town she comes into contact with and her supposedly cursed fate brings people at odds, and she carries herself often like a reaper of sorts. Imele stands at an unassuming height of 5’4” with long disheveled green hair and light skin. Most often Imele is tattered in a hooded long jacket, a neck-high over-shirt made of wool to keep her warm, and a light shirt underneath both things alongside a pair of unassuming pants and mud-tracked boots. She bears a necklace made of silver that represents her clan by showcasing their symbol, and a long belt to sheath her priestess staff is usually equipped even though she rarely uses it considering she holds onto the item more often than not.

Powers/Abilities/Skills:

Martial Artist: Imele was trained by Guon Moyen, her father and a former warden of Dunskari’s Vann. She was trained specifically in redirection of blows and subtle strikes rather than distinctly inflicting harm. In addition to her dexterous training as a Priestess of the Moyen Shrine this adds a supplementary ability that has proven useful.

Shrine Priestess: Imele’s mother, Maritka Moyen, trained her to follow the traditions of the clan and particularly her unique talent of convening with lost souls. In addition to the rites of passing, and extensive lore knowledge this included a training in their clan’s weapon arts. It is due to this that Imele carries about a priestess’ staff and knows how to use it in combat and non-combat utilizations.

Spiritual Medium: Imele descends from the Moyen Clan, a group of people that studied the world of spirits, the deceased, and the energy that binds them together. Sourced in the magical force that represents souls of the long departed, Imele and her family have existed to serve spirits for the better. As a medium Imele can detect life, feel the essence of residual energy from various spirits, and consult the knowledge of old souls— specifically of the Moyen bloodline.

Spiritual Vessel: As an extension of her abilities as a spiritual medium, Imele can consort with spirits when she is in a meditative state and ask for them to share their knowledge and abilities with her during states of crisis. There are multiple risks with allowing powerful spirits to bond with her with the worst aspect being subject to malicious possession.

Backstory & Personality:

Imele is quiet and introspective, feeling the rare situation where she needs to talk. This is, in part, due to her being one of the only survivors of the Moyen Clan Massacre by The Order in 4425; a deeply scarring event that has damaged a once brighter, friendly, and optimistic girl. But Imele doesn’t put the blame entirely on the traumatic event as she explains that it has more to do with how seeing, comprehending, listening, and convening with lost souls has brought her a “new perspective” on life— though she does still feel much sadness for what happened to her family. Though despite not having malevolent intentions the people of Dun are generally unnerved by her quiet and solitary personality in combination of her abilities. People are intimidated by her sullen presence which causes Imele to gain little friends or romantic companions.

However, when Imele does speak— her brief expressions through dialogue are seen as either too direct or at times inappropriate. Whilst she doesn’t seek to insult others she is blunt, honest, and rather straight-forward regarding how she feels about certain situations and about what her powers lead to. Generally, most people don’t want to hold a conversation with someone who has brief matter-of-fact responses and is blunt about how she can convene with the dead; the latter has especially caused friction in townships where the Moyen Clan is obscure leading to accusations of her being a witch, warlock, and on one occasion a necromancer.

To say Imele is apathetic about these accusations and happenings would be incorrect however as buried as they may be the green-haired girl does have feelings, attractions, and emotions that go beyond “sullen, sad, and honest”. A direct reaction to losing everyone she’s ever loved has made her struggle with showing more chipper emotions and the effects of seeing lost or lingering spirits has affected her ability to relate with others and properly express joy and happiness.

As for her life; Imele was born on the outskirts of Dunskari in a large territory alongside the Xahg River known as Moyrah, the birthplace of the Moyen Clan and several branches of it that came together. The town was centered around a central tomb, graveyard, & cathedral of no specific religious origin. Imele’s parents raised her alongside her two siblings, Jonas and Andru. For the majority of her life, Imele grew up knowing the responsibilities of the Moyen Clan and what it would mean to become a priestess of the dead. Her father, a reserve member of Dunskari’s Vann raised her with awareness of the nation beyond the confines of the village and the importance to travel and experience the world whilst her mother trained her to deal with spirits of all kinds with respect and understanding should she choose to act upon her teenaged wanderlust.

Some years into her life her family was approached by a member of the group named Kanados who asks for their allegiance in the coming conflicts as he attempts to relate to their goal as keepers of the dead and protectors of Dunskari. However, the clan’s members see through his deceit and see his true intentions and refuse his arrangement to which they are executed by the man who orders the entire clan territory burned to make a statement. Some survivors flee, Imele, amongst them. She is the only survivor of her immediate family. Following the incident that led to the massacre of the Moyen Clan, Imele became a wanderer as she began confronting the increasing presence of a mysterious cult, bringing Kanados to justice, and bringing peace to her family.

Name/Nickname:

Nadia Ylwizaker

Age (DOB):

20

Gender:

Female

Race/Species:

Empowered Human / Celestial

Height/Weight:

5’3” / 122 LBS

Appearance:

Spritzy, brash, and overconfident; Nadia’s personality traits reflect her appearance in one way or another. Bearing her father’s crimson hair, she arranges it in the form of a crude ponytail locked with whatever she can find at the time— which includes bows, string, bands, and on one occasion a torn piece of cloth. Her hair is rarely undone and when it is it drops down fairly far beyond her back, but is not so long she can trip over it with her feet. Nadia prefers loose clothing for comfortability as well as mobility but always tends to have a schoolgirl’s sweater jacket on her person whether she is wearing it correctly or not. Her eyes are a shade of brown, and her expressions tend to be cocky and self-indulged. She tops out at around five foot three and has an athletic build.

Powers/Abilities/Skills:

Combat Trained: Lan Olzon trained Nadia constantly as a favor to her friend during the time she raised her. This included rigorous perception training, conventional weapon awareness, and physical conditioning. This however did not include any distinct level of advanced martial arts training, so as such Nadia lacks much more than resilience, athletics, brawn, and awareness. This extends to the weapon arts as well.

Exorcist: Also known as a “demon hunter”, “cleric”, and “warden”. As a warden of the divine path, Nadia can fight demonic with the usage of knowledge from the study of exorcism and witch-hunting. This includes rigorous knowledges of celestial texts to combat demons, usage of holy artifacts to her advantage, and much more.

Half-Celestial: Nadia’s mother was a “fallen” celestial being (see: angel) of the domain known as perseverance and has inherited the abilities from this ancestry. Her soul is considered a holy conduit which allows her powers to channel the abilities of a celestial being such as cleansing corruption, purifying items of demonic taint, imbuing herself with holy power for smiting evil, and creating divine wards of protection. However being only half-celestial the strength and consistence of her abilities within it are unreliable.

Backstory:

The result of the union between Ivran Ylwizaker and an unknown woman, Nadia Ylwizaker was raised for the majority of her childhood not by her father but by his comrade, Lan Olzon. This was because of the fact that Ivran had supposedly gone missing on a contract. This created a darkness above Nadia as she began her interest in Wardens and demon hunting culture as a sort of idolization from the stories she had been told by her guardian. Though Lan did not paint false pictures of Ivran Ylwizaker for his daughter, Nadia still found a passion ignited within her at the stories of her father’s earnest dedication to protecting others despite a reputation that painted him weak and unskilled— the reputation of “the worst Warden in recent memory”. A reputation Nadia would later learn to be a constant obstacle for herself.

By the age of eight years old Nadia’s passion turned into an annoyance for Lan; Nadia beginning to badger her guardian about training her to be ‘just as awesome’ as her father and ‘as cool’ as Lan herself. The flattery may have been the first step to Nadia’s aspirations; though the journey itself would be rough and meticulous due to Lan’s rigid perception of skills a Warden should be expected to have before they begin the long route to earning their duties due to Lan’s own status as a child prodigy in the past. Somehow, Nadia took to it despite the difficulties in front of her— the life of a Warden was all she dreamed for. A dream that was as idealistic and naive as it came… though perhaps it was because of that passion that hardened her for what was to come.

The truth of what the people’s perception of her father was really hit Nadia— but what began to grind into the young girl wasn’t the whispers of her father’s skill alone but also the reputation that came to have her judged by proxy. “The Daughter of the Worst Warden”, a titular nickname that would drive Nadia to obnoxious levels of distaste; for whatever Nadia could do it always seemed to her to be dismissed in a condescending comparison to her father’s infamous level of skill and talent. A reputation that would twist Nadia from her innocent passion and forge her into a defiant troublemaker with a zeal unlike any of her peers. The quest to defeat and purify corrupted souls was hardly a simple task and one that would take the pairing through many challenges and obstacles but Nadia would be quite willing to pursue such things to prove herself on her own terms and away from her peers perception of her or her father's legacy.

Nadia Ylwizaker

Gender: Female
Age: Teens
Her eyes are a shade of brown, and her expressions tend to be cocky and self-indulged. She tops out at around five foot three and has an athletic build.

Race/Species: Meister
Soul Colour & Traits: Sienna - Seems to be weighed down by an anchor as it flutters in energy.
Abilities:
  • Meister: “Meisters are warriors who fight and battle using the weapon forms of Demon Weapons, people who're able to transform into traditional weapons.” — Much like many at the DWMA, Nadia is a Meister; the leading half of a Meister/Weapon pairing. This leads to skills that come under the umbrella of the role.
  • Combat Trained: Lan Olzon trained Nadia constantly as a favor to her friend during the time she raised her. This included rigorous perception training, conventional weapon awareness, and physical conditioning. This however did not include any distinct level of advanced martial arts training, so as such Nadia lacks much more than resilience, athletics, brawn, and awareness.
  • Soul Perception: Nadia is skilled enough in perception of the soul to sort out the “noise” that lies as a challenging buffer for identification purposes. She however does have difficulties beyond intermediate levels of the ability.
  • Soul Resonance: A rare ability, but one that Nadia has the potential for as with all Meisters. When synchronized perfectly with her Demon Weapon pairing she can utilize sort of “true” soul abilities that are immensely powerful. It is hard to say if it is reminiscent of her father’s Soul Resonance ability due to the fact he never synchronized on such a level with his Demon Weapon partner.
    • Arisia Königin: When synchronized Nadia and Arisia create the Soul Resonance abilities that fall under the “Gun-type” category (despite being a Bow & Arrow foundation). The only one known to them is called Danmaku, a barrage category technique that uses the supercharged ability from a synchronization to spread the soul energy into a complex “machine gun” sort of volley.

Weaknesses:
A lot of Nadia’s weaknesses fall under her general personality, a fact that she has either failed to realize or care about. It would take much self-awareness and guidance for Nadia to break her frequency to emit arrogance, brash behavior, antagonistic playfulness, lack of care towards others opinions, her “act first, think later” methods, and temperament.

Beyond her personality, intellectually Nadia is lacking— a fact that is apparent on the exams despite her tenacity and cohesive understanding. She is ranked in moderate levels in academics and rarely applies herself due to her own apathy or spite towards her instructors for comparing her to her father.

Physically speaking, Nadia is generally the least flawed but is far from perfect. She is nimble and can endure a lot of damage, but lacks precision and focus preferring to blindly attack over elaborate planning. She has little advanced martial arts training and her acrobatics are only slightly above par for a typically ranged Meister. Her stamina varies depending on how much energy she chooses to exert both physically and mentally as well.

Brief History:
The result of the union between Ivran Ylwizaker and an unknown woman, Nadia Ylwizaker was raised for the majority of her childhood not by her father but by his comrade, Lan Olzon. This was because of the fact that Ivran had supposedly gone missing on a contract along with his partner, the Demon Weapon known as Hokori. This created a darkness above Nadia as she began her interest in Meisters and Demon Weapons as a sort of idolization from the stories she had been told by her guardian. Though Lan did not paint false pictures of Ivran Ylwizaker for his daughter, Nadia still found a passion ignited within her at the stories of her father’s earnest dedication to protecting others despite a reputation that painted him weak and unskilled— the reputation of “the worst Meister in recent memory”.

The flattery may have been the first step to Nadia’s aspirations; though the journey itself would be rough and meticulous due to Lan’s rigid perception of skills a Meister should be expected to have before they entered the DWMA due to Lan’s own status as a child prodigy in the past. Somehow, Nadia took to it despite the difficulties in front of her— the life of a Meister was all she dreamed for. A dream that was as idealistic and naive as it came… though perhaps it was because of that passion that hardened her for what was to come.

Upon entry to the DWMA at age thirteen, the truth of people’s perception of her father really hit Nadia— but what began to grind into the young girl wasn’t the whispers of her father’s skill alone but also the reputation that came to have her judged by proxy. “The Daughter of the Worst Meister”, a titular nickname that would drive Nadia to obnoxious levels of distaste; for whatever Nadia could do it always seemed to her to be dismissed in a condescending comparison to her father’s infamous level of skill and talent. A reputation that would twist Nadia from her innocent passion and forge her into a defiant troublemaker with a zeal that matched other problem students at the DWMA. Upon passing through the NOT program and pairing with Arisia Königin Nadia’s behavior only continued in this fashion for many more years.

Nadia & Arisia became an odd pair indeed as they took upon the contracts given to them through the DWMA as Nadia looked to prove herself and Arisia served as a buffer to temper her partner’s erratic personality. The quest to defeat and absorb corrupted souls (and eventually the goal to defeat a Witch) was hardly a simple task and one that would take the pairing through many challenges and obstacles. Though in the end, they stood as some of the younger pairs to complete graduation with the soul of Witch in hand. Upon that graduation the eyes of another organization came upon them called AID...

Arisia Königin

Gender: Female
Age: Teens
Appearance:
Intellectual, poised, and focused; Arisia’s personality traits reflect her appearance in one way or another. Birthed with colorful purple hair, Arisia’s appearance seems prim and proper to a fine point— her long hair groomed and meticulously arranged no matter the hairstyle she chooses. Generally her hair is often undone, falling down her back and to her waist. When Arisia puts up her hair it is for occasion and not a frequent affair. Arisia prefers extravagant dress and schoolwear with bright bows and accessories. Her eyes are a bright yellow green. She sets in at about five foot four and has a above average build.

Race/Species: Demon Weapon
Soul Colour & Traits: Yellow Green - Seems dignified with what resembles a bow.
Weapon Form: Shortbow
Abilities:
  • Demon Weapon: “Demon Weapons are a race of people who can take on the form of traditional weapons.” — Much like many at the DWMA, Arisia is a Demon Weapon (or Magic Weapon); the weaponized half of a Meister/Weapon pairing. This leads to skills that come under the umbrella of the role.
  • Soul Perception: Arisia is skilled enough in perception of the soul to sort out the “noise” that lies as a challenging buffer for identification purposes. She however does have difficulties beyond intermediate levels of the ability.
  • Combat Trained: Trained by aristocrats, Arisia is skilled in some degree of self-defense despite her lack of mentioning so. Whilst she lacks the techniques of Anastasia Yngling (see; Royal Karate) she is similar in pedigree with expertise in European fencing and by extension Canne de Combat. This can be extended to hand-to-hand combat and isn’t limited to swords and canes.
  • Soul Resonance: A rare ability, but one that Arisia has the potential for as with all Demon Weapons. When synchronized perfectly with her Meister pairing she can utilize sort of “true” soul abilities that are immensely powerful.
    • Nadia Ylwizaker: When synchronized Nadia and Arisia create the Soul Resonance abilities that fall under the “Gun-type” category (despite being a Bow & Arrow foundation). The only one known to them is called Danmaku, a barrage category technique that uses the supercharged ability from a synchronization to spread the soul energy into a complex “machine gun” sort of volley.

Weaknesses:
Arisia is particularly reserved and ambivalent towards most things, which ends up being a costly double-edged sword. Whilst it might be hard to invoke an emotional reaction from her it also means she has less passion thrown out into combat which can cause weird off-put synergies with her Meister, Nadia.

Mentally, Arisia has the least obvious flaws given her high academic scores and her great level of focus intellectually.

Whilst Arisia has some conditioning (and is a Demon Weapon) she is not the most physically conditioned with lower stamina than most and a lower threshold of pain tolerance and endurance. She is extremely accurate and precise, which is perhaps why her Demon Weapon form is as it is, but that is her only central physical strength, with the rest being poor-to-moderate.

Brief History:
The youngest daughter of the Königin family, Arisia was discovered to have inherited the Demon Weapon ‘gene’ when she was thirteen years old thus starting her on the journey to DWMA. Within the NOT curriculum Arisia showed herself reserved and rather… introverted to the point of awkwardness. Arisia became know to speak few lines and seek little things and up until her pairing with Nadia Ylwizaker was believed to have difficulty finding a pairing of any sort with any potential Meisters despite her studious personality. Once paired with Nadia she would often be called the “ice” to Nadia’s “fire”— a reference to their vastly different personality types. But somehow the two would learn to become quite cohesive in their bond with one another for just that reason.

Allocated Contract:
Nadia & Arisia have taken on a new contract — a trail of bodies leads through a small town located near an ominous forest; to which the villagers have hushed in a silent panic as no investigation has led to results other than death and suspense. The sighting of something dangerous could lead it to be the work of a monster, witch, or perhaps both? It seems that another neighboring village is facing similar issues… but that’s another contract entirely. Or is it?

“I understand. This is important—this is for the Kazekage.”

Name – Shizuka Nadra

Age – 10

Village – Sunagakure

Clan/Dynasty – Shizuka

Kekkei Genkai – N/A

Hiden – Refujutsu: The secret technique of the Shizuka clan is one of re-calibrating your chakra network, which sounds a little more unbelievable then it actually is. Called “the art of reflex” prior to the first shinobi world war, the technique has an emphasis on response to the flow of action and the chakra guides it as such. When active this “refujutsu” dynamically dulls all senses but three: touch, smell, and sight—as well as activates an extra-sensory reflex that forces the body into action. If the body cannot maintain itself during this active it can cause health issues that could turn fatal during or after use as vital organs will be unable to keep up with the extra-sensory reactions.

Focus – Taijutsu

Nature – Wind

Skillset – Nadra is gifted, the first in the Shizuka clan in two generations and shows the most potential as a shinobi even over her grandfather’s sons. Born with a capacity for skilled chakra control, trained to be agile and dexterous, and the shining star of her academic graduation class Nadra is sort of an anomaly. But with her affinity for jutsu and intelligence she lacks a distinct social comprehension that works against her. It is said she will earn the highest ranks in ninjutsu or taijutsu in her graduating class in Sunagakure.

Rank – Genin

Personality – At ten years of age, Shizuka Nadra, is an abnormality to her peers with her skills and social ineptitude. Despite Shizuka Hitachi—Nadra’s grandfather’s determination to make her move past the tragedy that surrounded her life. With her mother’s suicide several years prior being the catalyst to her emotional emptiness coupled with the fact that a true father figure was a role that was absent from her life despite attempts by her uncle, Shizuka Shinji. Perhaps Shizuka Nadra never had a chance never to be whole as she was surrounded by demanding training from her grandfather and dodged answers about her mother from her uncle. When Nadra became an academy student it was always clear she was the only one completely absorbed within the way of the shinobi with the other children… acting like children.

A instructor at the academy once commented in private that the only reason Nadra was as talented as a shinobi in comparison to the other students was due to her time with her grandfather—the demanding training was sought out by the young girl as fatherly affection as it was the only real one she had with her uncle being constantly occupied and distant from the young girl due to the shaking fact of how physically she resembled her mother which brought back memories to him that he did not want to revisit. It is very clear that Nadra is socially awkward, emotionally deafened, and overtly direct. Though Nadra does have loyalty and determination around her character. Nadra does not know how to “talk” to people and presents an interesting issue once her graduation from the academy is announced.

Background – Born to Shizuka Junko and an unknown father, Shizuka Nadra has been desensitized by the emotional trauma surrounding her including the distance from her uncle, her mother’s suicide, and her lack of knowing a real father figure outside of her pertinently busy grandfather. Emotionally removed and socially inept—Nadra saw that her grandfather visited often with intents on training she felt at a young age that if she wanted to see her grandfather outside of the Kazekage’s chambers she had to submit to his expectations. Though the truth of the matter was Shizuka Hitachi wanted her to be stronger and prepared for the future ahead rather than actually taking time and care that she needed over dedicated training. Shizuka Shinji, Nadra’s uncle theorized that his older brother’s (and younger sister’s) death had spurred on this attitude as when Shinji was younger it was a much healthier parent-child relationship in his experience.

Despite his desire to want to help Nadra, her appearance that resembled almost identically to her mother (and his sister) caused an intense fear after sweeping nostalgia infected his dreams and memories—memories he did not want to face. This is where the distance from Nadra initially came from. Determined to become a shinobi so she could get the attention she desired she trained harder during her grandfather’s visits and on her own. This pushed her to a degree to talent that was quickly recognized and she was placed in the Sunagakure academy. At the academy, Nadra was seen as a sort of freakish anomaly as she quickly surpassed students who had been training for genin for years. This sense of intelligence, dedication, and perception was often ridiculed though Nadra really paid no attention to the behavior. She had one person to care about.

Nadra is likely to graduate to genin with top marks in ninjutsu and taijutsu.

Notes – Nadra is perceptive—often analyzing a situation before acting out on an action thus she is the opposite of impulsive which is a patience that she has been praised for. Despite this her grandfather worries this will cause her to be too hesitant on a situation and could be problematic in future situations. It is also known that Nadra often speaks in a sort of monotone, deadpan tone though there are fits of emotional panic when she doesn’t understand something or an emotional trigger is launched but these are rare.

ROLEPLAY
All Star Marvel

NAME
Henry “Hank” Pym, Jr. / Ant-Man

MORAL ALIGNMENT
Hero

AFFILIATION
Pym Technologies

ORIGIN AND BACKSTORY
Henry and his sister, Hope, were born in 1988 as a set of fraternal twins in the Pym Estate in New York City. For most of his childhood a degree of his parents past seemed shaded in ambiguity. This was due to the fact of Henry Pym (Sr.) and Janet Van Dyne’s former work with the federal agency known as SHIELD, a secret that the two tried to keep buried throughout their children’s youth. As it is known, Henry Pym founded Pym Technologies whilst he also invested in his wife’s start-up company called Yellowjacket — a fashion design firm that due to Janet’s expertise in business and enterprise led to a successful venture that became one of the most relevant fashion & design firms in New York City.

After a brief attendance at Empire University Hank found himself bored and feeling anxious at home. His father and mother had recently separated due to an altercation between them that led to additional stress at the Pym Estate. Whilst his sister fell into academia as a full-on exile Hank seemed to approach his stressful feelings in the opposite direction as he began to get into a string of debates that turned into messy arguments with his father. After several of these arguments and the issues that followed Hank decided he was done with New York and took a flight to Europe for an extended period of time. In the period that followed he began wandering as a sort of wayward soul as he traveled through Symkaria, Transia, Sokovia, Slokovia, Lichtenbad, Latveria, and other countries as he tried to not only get away from the expectations of his family and his peers but also to gather his thoughts— to become something closer to himself and not “Henry Pym II”. However, years later in 2011 Hank returned when Hope, the only one he kept in contact with, reached out to him telling Hank that he had to come home immediately—something had happened.

Henry Pym, Hank’s father had been hospitalized. Annoyed at however this could’ve happened, whatever bridges he thought were broken between him and his father seemed to reconstruct overnight as he took flight from Paris to New York. His father’s condition brought the fractured family together in a weird fit of irony – something that Hank would reflect on much later. Following clues left by his father, he discovered the culprit of his father’s condition being Pym Technologies co-founder, Elias Weams, who was on the brink of discovering “Weams Particles” and continuing a project that Pym wanted buried due to the dangers of not only development of the technologies but also the military consequences that were bound to follow-- Pym refused to allow his company to go the way of Stark or Osborn. Knowing Pym was in his way Weams hired an individual to take care of him named Hargood Wickham. After discovering his father’s “Ant Man” suit, his journal, and connecting the plot to Wickham and Weams he proceeded with stopping Weams’ intentions by donning the Ant-Man suit and infiltrating the facility to sabotage the fruits of Weams’ labor. This would end with a battle (after dispatching Wickham) between Hank and Weams’ – but not before Weams donned the “Gigantus” suit himself driving him insane in the process. When Weams was defeated he found himself at the center spotlight to the world and the vigilante career for Hank had begun.

It seemed like the Pym family was back on track with the recovery of Henry Pym and his rekindling of his relationship with Janet, Hope’s extreme success at taking control of Pym Technologies in the aftermath of Elias Weams betrayal and attempted murder of her father, and Hank’s own passion for helping others through the identity of Ant-Man— things were settling back in. Deciding to stay out of Pym Technologies Hank looked to focusing full-time on helping others and looking into the history of the AST-62 suit through discussions with his father. As 2011 came to a close he found himself stopping many threats unaware that there was one just looming on the horizon…

POWERS & ABILITIES
  • Genius Level Intelligence – Henry has inherited the intellectual capacity and capability of both of his parents and despite not using it as often as he should still shows that he is an extremely smart as well as creative individual who thinks consistently out of the box and on his feet. This lends to a great ability to get out of difficult combat scenarios as well as engineering gadgets seemingly on the fly.
  • AST-62 – Codenamed the “Ant-Man”. The AST-62 (although heavily modified) is a state of the art technological exo-suit developed by Henry Pym Sr. to exploit the utility of Pym Particles for a variety of uses. The suit was ideal for covert operations during the Cold War especially due to its ability to shrink or expand the wearer in size by several magnifications, enhancing the wearer’s speed & strength, and also using a cybernetic helmet with low frequency psionic emitters could grant communication and partial control of insects.
  • Hand-to-Hand Combat – Starting with self-defense classes in the twins childhood, Henry was introduced to judo and karate classes which he kept up decently into his teenage years which is when he “got bored” of the instruction during his rebellious phase. Recently he has been implementing his martial arts into his crime-fighting.

Roleplay:

Name: Talija
Species: Sephi
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Faction: Jedi Order
Rank: Jedi Knight Jedi Sentinel
Captive? Yes

Appearance

Standing at 1.7 meters, Talija is not particularly tall for her species though she is still quite young and has not reached the apex of her adult growth. Her body is particularly modest and toned with soft peach skin and dulled brown eyes that compliment her flowing cerulean hair. If not for her outward pointed ears she could easily pass for a human female. Her attire tends to be a synthesis of her Sephi culture and her Jedi religion.

Flaws

  • Introverted — Due to her introverted and reserved nature Talija has issues even regarding fellow Jedi and their trials. She’s not particularly social thus lacks strong ties to many jedi that were not instructors of hers. She gets frustrated by social issues and finds trouble with finding understanding in communication which lends her to a more direct approach to conversation.

  • Limitations — Talija has limited or a lack of knowledge on medicine, mathematics, demolition, sabotage, economics, and things out of her depth. She is only good in what she knows and in certain situations will find herself unable to take action.

  • Selfless — Despite her introverted personality and frustrations with understanding others she feels it is her responsibility to put the weight of others on her shoulders. Whether it is droid, Sith, bounty hunter, or monster she will take the route of the selfless; putting herself in blind danger.

  • Stubborn — The double-edged sword of resilience. Talija refuses to be ‘broken’ or ‘converted’ thus allowing more ire from her Sith enemies which can lead to more excessive trials and tortures from them.

Skills

  • Lightsaber Combat — As trained and conditioned by Master Laureli Xchal, Talija is skilled in a modified form of Djem-So. Excluding this modified style Talija is also skilled in basic fundamentals of Ataru, Soresu, and Shii-Cho, but she feels most at home with her master's style for obvious reasons. She is also adept in Niman due to her time with her second master.

  • Perceptive — Heightened by Master Laureli Xchal’s training, Talija is skilled at perceiving her environment as well as things or individuals in that environment. This can lend to a good deductive mind that can investigate situations clearly and inquisitively. This was particularly helpful in previous missions assigned to her by the Jedi Council.

  • Archival Study — Talija was a dedicated student sense her initiatehood. With devoted study of Jedi history, culture, and combat she has proven herself as one of the more committed students of the order despite her being a bit more reserved and introverted for such behavior. Said study also allows her a perspective into galactic culture, trade, and politics; considering many Jedi are seen as more arbiters than warriors she knows these are important knowledges to have.

  • Resilient — Talija is particularly stalwart in her ideals and morals. This is particularly helpful under psychological duress.

  • Piloting & Navigation — Talija is a competent pilot in small vessels and adept with galactic maps.

Force Capabilities

  • Basic Force Abilities — As a sentinel Talija has been trained to be diverse in the force and the lightsaber equally. She is adept at all of the basic techniques and some intermediate ones.

  • Cleanse Mind — A technique passed down by her master; a force power that allowed to negate mind-affecting force powers from the afflicted.

Biography

Talija was born to a noble family on Thustra on 17 BTC (3670 BBY), the fourth daughter in her dynastic generation. However it would become evident relatively early in her childhood that she had inherent abilities that led to the belief she was a force sensitive. Such thoughts made her father confused on the proper right of action but eventually folded on the matter of calling out to the Jedi Order to investigate the legitimacy of her force abilities—she was only six galactic standard years old. A sequence of tests were given to the young Sephi girl to which they discovered that her father’s findings were correct and started delicate diplomatic discussions with him about inducting his daughter into the Jedi Order as an initiate. Eventually he agreed that it was the best course of action thus beginning her life as an initiate.

For many years following she found the academy on Telos IV to be a more somber home and found peace there despite being whisked away from the only home she had ever known. But her parents had told her it had been very important to not only the family but the galaxy to follow and listen to the Jedi who took her to Telos. She took solace in the instructions as a “youngling” within her initiatehood. This could be one of the many reasons she would adopt a introverted and studious personality that would become part of her character many years later. Driven to live well to her family and culture’s expectations she found herself planting her face in the lessons she was given. In time, Talija became engrossed in the jedi code and the knowledge of her instructor’s teachings as an initiate which led to her strong confidence in passing the initiate trials. As she took the aforementioned trials her diligence caught an eye of a Jedi Master named Laureli Xchal, the Jedi who would later become her mentor and teacher in the ways of the force when she passed from initiatehood to the role of a padawan.

As a Padawan during wartime, Talija was one of many students of the Jedi Order that found themselves dealing with situations that tested their body, mind, and spirit. As her master was a skilled combatant and duelist Talija found herself in the thicket of battles between 7 BTC (3660 BBY) and 3 BTC (3656 BBY) up until the end of her time with her master during the Skirmish on Cyrillia where she and her master faced a twi’lek who happened to be a skilled user of the dark side of the force named Imij’turutu— a Sith. By the end of the battle Talija witnessed her master taking a critical injury before critically damaging the Sith they were facing. If not for the Sith’s injury or overconfidence fighting a Padawan Talija probably would’ve joined her master in her fate… but thankfully it turned out rather the opposite and the planet of Cyrillia was ‘saved’ from the Sith insurrection.

After the death of Master Laureli Xchal it seemed the fate of Talija as a Palawan was in two straits: she would either be reassigned a new master after her master’s own death in the skirmish on Cyrillia or tested by the Jedi Council for her knighthood—being distraught and emotionally exhausted from the skirmish against the Sith that they had discovered was not sure herself if she was even up to the task of Knighthood considering what she had just gone through and tested with.

Her humility in her “failure” was noted by the council and for a time she was reassigned to Jedi Master Ilar Qwik. Qwik was decidedly different given his older and less combat oriented approach. Whereas Master Xchal was a Jedi Guardian her new Jedi Master was known as a diplomatic Jedi Consular who would go on to take a less demanding instruction of Talija but still was very dedicated to instructing her in the ways of the force. He taught her diplomacy, encouraged her reading of the archives, taught her various languages & dialects, and strengthened her knowledge of the force beyond simple lightsaber forms though he did strengthen her ability to wield Form VI a.k.a. “Niman”. As time went on so did the war and in 1 BTC (3671 BBY) Talija decided to take the Knighthood Trials with encouragement from Master Qwik. The trials seemed to flash before her eyes as the Telos IV trials tested her courage, resilience, faith, body, and mind quite rigidly. Upon passing and advancing into knighthood she reflected back on her time as a Padawan and strived to do better as well as to live by both her Jedi Master’s teachings with great dedication. She had made it.

For one galactic standard year, Talija served the order diligently before the transport ship she was on was struck by a Sith attack and she inevitably ended up captured—and so the story begins…

Personality & Motivation

“I will recite the Jedi Code until I die, I refuse to be broken by the machinations of these masters of darkness.”

A quiet girl known for her diligence in the defense of the faith and the ideals it stands for, Talija stands much like others of the faith with her devout beliefs and unmoving ideology. Despite her ineptitude with greater social interactions the Sephi girl refuses to falter where others shake and it was with that stubborn resilience that she impressed greater Jedi than she and perhaps even a few Sith. Her pride and loyalty to her family and her faith have become walls of strength and despite the dangers of arrogance she struggles with humility though she knows full well the path arrogance takes one down. Talija has been taught to put the needs of others above her own, to have an open mind to the suffering of others, and to tread carefully to not become corrupt—it is in that caution to the dark side that she recites the code of the Jedi several times a day and that was prior to being captured.

With all of her strengths and resilience in her ideals, Talija is hardly ‘perfect’. As a social introvert she has trouble understanding conventions of conversation despite her attempts to do so. She is not inherently robotic and has a great deal of sympathy and sincerity for others thus when she finds herself in situations where she appears cynical or ‘too pragmatic’ she has trouble taking it in stride and not being emotionally offended by the notion. The Jedi Code has of course helped her cope but she finds at best proving to people that she sympathizes with them and is an ally of great character—perhaps this is where her inherent selflessness descends from.

Player Goals

To tell fun and engaging stories as well as follow a characterization that plays off other talented writers. I’ve been a longtime fan of Star Wars (EU and then some) for over fifteen years and I think I can bring a lot of passion and cooperative play to the collaborative story. I’d like to see where this Sephi that-totally-is-not-lafiel goes in this role-play. The following are some think-tank ideas:

  • Light Side – where Talija’s struggles but ultimately doesn’t relent against the influence of the dark side. This could end with her becoming a weathered survivor or a heroic martyr in the face of the Sith subjugation and oppression without yielding in her ideals and morals.

  • Dark Side – the opposite effect. Talija crumbles in her ideals and succumbs to darkness and becomes something terrible despite all of her beliefs. This would probably end with her dying no matter what and it isn’t my ideal ending.

  • Somewhere in the Middle – I love gray jedi and for Talija to take a new but still inherently good path is interesting to me. If this happens it’d go the route of her finding her emotions like a Sith but finding the good in them to protect others on her own terms and not being particularly blind to the Jedi’s teachings as the end be all.

Relations
  • Jedi Master, Laureli Xchal — Talija’s first jedi master, a blatant perfectionist and dominating jedi who believed in rigorous conditioning to prepare her apprentices for the dangers lying beyond space and the inevitable resurgence of the Sith. She was a Alderaanian human female who was a master of the Djem-So lightsaber form.

  • Jedi Master, Ilar Qwik — Talija’s second jedi master, a diplomatic arbiter and wise jedi who believed in allowing the Padawn to bloom with knowledge as well as understanding. He is a Korunnai human male who was a master of the Niman lightsaber form.

  • Jedi Knight, Xid Terrik — A fellow jedi that she met as a padawan.

NAME
Wade Wilson / Deadpool

MORAL ALIGNMENT
WTL

AFFILIATION
Weapon X

ORIGIN AND BACKSTORY
As an adult, Wade Wilson discovered what he had finally been good at: killing people. In fact Wade was so good at facilities of murder he found himself being transferred into a special unit of skilled soldiers before he hit the age of twenty-three. By the age of thirty, Wade Wilson acted with extreme prejudice. Eventually, Wade Wilson was recommended for leave in spite of his superior military service due to a health concern: Wade Wilson had cancer. Taking this time out to try to investigate ways to subdue it, Wade was eventually approached by researchers of a obscure research project by the name of Department K. Believing their research could remove his illness he joined and began the painful process, but by the end of it Wade’s dormant healing factor became thrown into overdrive; but the catch was there was no bridging the pain of regeneration or purification of his cells. Wade felt every second and every day for several months of his cancer being wiped from his body.

During the recuperation process, Wade found himself in a facility obscurely associated with the project located in rural Canada. This is where Wade Wilson met Doctor Emrys Killebrew, his enforcer Ajax, and several others. This is also where Wade Wilson would lose himself. Killebrew was fascinated with Wade’s “supergene” that allowed him to regenerate all sorts of levels. Believing it to be the process to create a super soldier program that would rival HYDRA and SHIELD’s glory days he began to pick apart Wade Wilson and for quite some time Wade felt this on a daily basis as he succumbed to pain that he could only imagine. Wade attempted to bond with other patients of the program like Worm to keep him from losing himself despite the constant agonizing pain. Wade even began to think that he was communicating with the visage of Death, but death never came. One night, Wade heard how his constitution and endurance were put into a betting pool— the Likelihood of him living. He tried to escape, but even with his training the unbelievable amount of pain placed him at a disadvantage. When Worm died, Wade lost it and attempted to kill Ajax. The punishment for such insolence was Wade’s supposed end as he was deemed to have served his purpose. Ajax and Killebrew dissected Wade, chopped him into tiny pieces, set him on fire, and tossed him in a drain pipe. A normal person… would have died.

Regenerating from the state Wade had made him finally not just go over the brink of madness, but dancing in the fields of madness. Seeing Death again was nice for Wade, but he refused to be ready for it when the taste of vengeance drove his will to live. The regenerated Wade found his memories in pieces; only remembering fragments of the recent years. Eventually finding himself in New York City, Wade began living off the money of drug dealers he non-specifically murdered as he tried to get things on track. Wade began calling himself “Deadpool” after his memories started coming back regarding on what he witnessed in Department K and sought to hunt down Ajax. However, finding Ajax and by extension Killebrew was very difficult— even for a man like Wade with a certain set of “skills”. As the weeks went on Wade discovered that Ajax had supposedly resigned from Department K and had decided a career in organized crime was more befitting his type of psychopathy. Fortunately, this made Ajax much easier to find considering he had decided to setup shop in Detroit; a place where Wade “infiltrated” as he began killing through Ajax’s thugs and scientists to get to the top of the chain where he could end Ajax’s life but not before he told him where to find Killebrew. The answers he got after several firefights pointed in one direction— Weapon X.

Thus it was time to sign up.

Team X was a group mutants who worked as black ops special forces troops who did whatever Romulus told them to. No one knew exactly who Romulus was, but they knew that he was an ancient mutant with the ability to coarse animals to follow his bidding. The animal within Wolervine had betrayed him, and Logan was under Romulus' control for as long as his feral mind remained intact. For Logan to break free, he would have to acknowledge that he was more man than monster.

Team X consisted of Wolverine, Sabertooth, Deadpool, Copycat, Maverick, John Wraith, Mastodon and later Lady Deathstrike and X-23. The latter two were all created using Wolverine's DNA and possessed various parts of Wolverine's mutation.

Team X operated during various wars and conflicts throughout the years. They battled the Sentinel Order's Asian division in Korea during the Korean War. When the Cold War began, Wolverine and Sabertooth were sent to Russia to locate a device capable of creating Carbonium, a metal similar to Adamantium but easier to synthesize, and less poisonous to humans when handled without the proper equipment. They encountered the agent known as Omega Red before escaping with the device and delivering it to Romulus. The team split up briefly when the Vietnam War began, with Wolverine sent to take down an out of control super soldier named Nuke. Logan succeeded in bringing the man down, and brought him back to Weapon X before being sent back to Vietnam. Wolverine continued to assassinate various politicians, generals and activists who stood in the way of mutant progress. Romulus' forces clashed with the Trask family and their Sentinel Order as history continued to move on, oblivious to the secret war occurring in the shadows.

Now it is 2012, and hiding their war is becoming harder and harder. The newest member of the Trask dynasty, Bolivar Trask, has taken over Trask Industries in America and started to work on the Sentinel program. Mutants are going missing every day, and Romulus believes Trask is somehow involved. So he was assigned Wolverine with the task of hunting down everyone involved in the scheme and bringing them to justice, freeing his mutant brothers and sisters in the process.

POWERS & ABILITIES
  • Super Soldier Physiology – The physiology gained through experimentation on Wade has transformed Wade into “The Modern Age’s Captain America but way cooler” and as such gives Wade a condition that is ‘peak human’ in terms of endurance, strength, perception, and dexterity.
  • Healing Factor – As a byproduct of the Weapon X program, Wade’s degenerative disease was curbed due to the acceleration of a latent x-gene that unbeknownst to Wade existed in his genetic code and as such revealed itself to be as a healing factor that is even more tenacious than Wolverine’s own. Wade can survive even the most fatal of injuries.
  • Close Quarters Combat – Wade was trained as a special operations operative and soldier in his early adulthood and despite his insanity has carried over instinctively. He’s a “MLG pro” at military CQC, Krav Maga, Jujitsu, and Judo. This also extends to his use of knives and katanas.
  • Marksman – Wade claims to be an expert sniper despite having little care for accuracy; his gunfire turning entire neighborhoods and facilities into swiss cheese. Though while his preference for submachine guns and inaccurate displays of “Deadpool-style gunplay” Wade is telling the truth in that he was an expert sniper and spec-ops operative before his foray into Department K.

| CHARACTER NOTES: |

Robin

Batgirl

| CHARACTER GOALS: |
Well, a lot of our previous Batman players are pretty much missing in action and I’d hate to put up an application without Eddie being around to understand we are rebooting, but as Maximum showed is that I can play Batman with enough inspiration and variety to keep it interesting and experienced. I strive to work with legacy characters and other contenders to make an enjoyable Gotham scene.

To add on to that, honestly, I can be active fairly often, and I’m a general team player. I can provide a competent and active Batfamily with conflicts that isn’t just him thwoping the Joker. There’s going to be plenty Bruce Wayne as much as there is The Batman and his dynamic with his supporting cast is something I can provide that will be different from previous incarnations by Byrd in World of Heroes and MB in Ultimate DC and Singular Universe. I constantly research, make links, communicate, as well as set aside time DAILY to decide what I’m doing with my next post, and read the backlogs of the entirety of the superherohype run as the most immersed player that debuted in 2013. I can tell you one thing: nobody is going to these lengths.

I will attempt to go at great lengths to make sure this Batman doesn’t disappear in a month and we have a missing Justice League member on our roster. I will refuse to slip up.

Personality & Quirks
Atsuko is friendly albeit a bit detached, a fact that resulted from her parents hands off parenting as well as her shy demeanor during childhood. She is fiercely loyal, smart, honest, and creative— traits she has held on throughout her teens. Although she is somewhat introverted she does have some more ‘out there’ personality quirks such as a surprising perverse mindset when she is privy in sharing it (as it is inappropriate in public to act as such); a quirk that translated her interest in perverse doujinshi and anime, a fact she reveals to few people.

Favorite Music includes:
    Alice Coltrane
    Anthony Braxton

Talents
Atsuko is a talented drummer with styles molded out of jazz and a competent soprano-type singing ability. Outside of music she has decent abilities of perception and deduction which only makes her major at university more understandable. However her practical skills beyond such are limited as she wasn’t particularly well-raised by her parents and relied on a lot of external education from Japan’s school systems or her uncle.

Backstory
Atsuko Gekido is the daughter of an accomplished businessman and a classically-trained artist, both of which having great success in their ventures throughout the years preceding Atsuko’s birth— it was due to this that she grew up with silver spoon firmly planted in her mouth and the expectations that came with such traits. Despite being born into money Atsuko lacked an abundance of friends, and whilst her parents loved their daughter they lacked a lot of time to put into their own relationship let alone their own child; a fact that led to distance between them as Atsuko’s father dove into his work at his consulting firm as well as his stock portfolio whilst Atsuko’s mother dove into her appointments with art vendors and focused into her artistry. This, in part, was why Atsuko’s personality grew into a introverted, reserved, analytical, and quiet way.

However, Atsuko wasn’t completely void of social relationships and ways to cope. The first of all being her connection to music, a happening that happened when she witnessed music for what would be considered her first exposure; especially in a live setting. On a errand alongside her uncle on her father’s side, Eikichi Gekido, in Shimokitazawa she stood in awe at a jazz ensemble’s take in a local establishment and fell in love with the dynamics and flurry of emotion in front of her. It felt sophisticated yet… not wooden like her family and it made her think what it would be like to unleash that kind of emotion that she had from within. Afterwards she found herself extremely curious in jazz music to her parent’s pleasant surprise— though they only placated it as they found the interest beneficial to their “cultural” lifestyle. At age nine she began lessons in music including vocals, piano, and percussion.

As Atsuko grew older she eventually found kinship with others who liked music such as Keiko Nakano and Shinji Koizumi. The former of which she met during her first year in Lower Secondary School and the girl that would become her best friend (and president of her Upper Secondary School’s Music Appreciation Club). Atsuko would even be convinced to join Keiko on an audition for a small upcoming Idol Group called KAI. Surprisingly, Atsuko was picked to join her friend as part of the group; the executives behind the audition telling her that she had a special thing that they were looking for alongside the “powerhouse” of a vocalist that they told her Keiko was. However as Atsuko would soon learn, the Idol Industry was relentless and harsh— and the most demanding thing either would experience in their lives; especially for Atsuko who was more comfortable sitting than the excessive choreography that became a constant in her day to day life.

Before graduation things seemed to take a turn for their worst. Keiko quit KAI in a mess of Idol Group politics, emotions, and complications. Atsuko presumed dirty antics and quit the group following her friend’s departure and while she couldn’t get anything out of her normally extroverted friend she began to draw deductions between the lines. However, a seventeen year old was nowhere near the detective of an experienced investigator and she wasn’t some super genius ripped out of a manga. Her curiosity never faltered and whilst her friendship took a detour it never faded; she refused to let it do so despite the tonal shift in her friend’s personality.

Now at University she finds the appeal of a music appreciation club calling to her… like a familiar nudge. Maybe it’s worth a look?

Relationships

Keiko Nakano
Keiko is Atsuko’s best and oldest friend, and their relationship following their “retirement” from Idol Group KAI is still particularly strong despite the change in Keiko’s mood. Atsuko hopes for the day when her sunny and “obliviously optimistic” personality returns but knows that the experiences they went through has burdened her.
