[IC] Doctor Who Roleplay

The Dentist gasped and breathed in, sort of gasping and choking at the same time. He was stuck in a sort of pod-thing, and he started getting up, and it whirred and steamed, then it opened. He saw he was in a large room, and outside of the room was empty space. Next to him were other pods, some staring whirring and steaming, as well. In the center of the room, there was multiple rectangular machines. He stretched, and he guessed he'd been asleep for... well, who knows how long. He stepped out his pod, and when he did, his knees went wobbly and he leaned on the side of a pod, as he was about to fall. When he regained his balance and his legs got used to the sensation of standing, he looked about the room. All he could remember was a man, a man of their species... He thought for a moment, then he snapped his fingers as he remembered. He was a Timelord, and that man was the Doctor! He taught him and other Timelords how to time travel, and such things, but not much more. He knew the man was dead, now, as he had told him the pods would only open when the Doctor died. He felt his hearts beat. That felt pretty good, after years of sleep. He decided to wait for the other pods to open before he did anything.

The Physicists eyes opened, and then shut, and then opened again. He tried to sit up, and sort of lay there. Before then remembering how his body worked and getting up. He saw he was in a circular, cylinder thing. He took a weird roll step out of the object, and hit his leg. "A-" He began to pant. He wasn't exactly use to doing things, because his last memory was being in a pod/cylinder/thing. While gripping his leg, he realised how awfully unstable he was. It was a constant battle for stability, and he wasn't winning by much. The Physicist finally found his balance and looked around him, seeing pods that were exactly identical.

The Dentist saw a pod open and another Timelord roll out of it. He walked over to him. He recognized his face like a distant memory. "You're..." he thought for a moment, thinking about what this guy's title was. "The Physicist, right?"

Cremator simply opened his amber eyes, instantly widening them in shock and pain before they regained their wistful, half-lidded stare. His mind went through multiple files, topics, and folders, before he calmed down his brain and logically thought things through, utilizing his senses. He was standing inside of a cylinder object - a pod, he realized, and in front of him he saw nothing but large, empty space, the sound of others' heartbeats, and heavy breathing. The Cremator clenched his right hand, regaining the feeling inside the appendage, before clenching his left and shaking his legs and feet. Instinctual knowledge was beginning to formulate inside his head, along with the familiar cold voidness that he felt inside of his coma-like sleep.

"This is an interesting development..." He muttered, his voice deep and quiet. A small push forced him to calmly walk out of the pod, and straightened his body, instantly noticing the other lifeforms around him.

"..." His sharp amber eyes began examining the two with cold detachment, his first instinct to meeting unfamiliar, yet, for some reason, familiar individuals.

"Y-Yeah." The Physicist was gripping his leg, which he had somehow hurt by doing something a four year old could do. He finally stopped, and looked at the person in front of him. He had forgotten his name, but he thought it had something to do with teeth. "That wasn't the best first-but-technically-first impression was it" The Physicist smiled at him.

He chuckled. "It's alright, it's been a long time. I'm the Dentist." he saw another pod open up and the guy inside step out of his pod. He thought for a moment. "Cremator, right?"

The Physicist twisted himself around to see another timelord. "Hi." Cremator,huh? better not annoy him.Actually, it's just a title. He smiled at this other timelord.

[Soul]

The Cremator gave the two a sharply raised eyebrow, before nodding and folding his arms across his chest. "Yes. Physicist and The Dentist, correct." He responded more than asked, his eyes busy glancing around the room they were in.

"I'm not sure if that was a question, or a thinly put insult, but yes you're correct." The Physicist stopped twisting. "Ow, don't do that you stupid..." He looked around at the room, other than some pods and devices it was pretty bare.

"So, what do we do now?" he asked. He didn't know what to do next, but he knew there were some time machines around here that they were supposed to use.

The Cremator raised an eyebrow, walking around the room and looking at the different machines. "I'd say we take a machine into time. That's out supposed destiny, correct?" The boy glanced around, prodding an odd, rectangular machine.

"I suppose, we are timelords after all." The Physicist looked around, and saw the machines. "So,,, these, things."

The Dentist walked over to one of them. He opened the door to it. "So this is a TARDIS..." he said. "I'm gonna call mine the ISSTU." he walked over to the control panel, and picked up a silver key. He attached it to his necklace. He stuck his head out the door. "I remember the Doctor teaching us how to fly one of these things, he said we were headed towards a planet called Earth. Well, let's get going!" he ran back into the ISSTU and over to the control panels. He thought for a moment, remembering his lessons from the Doctor. He snapped his fingers and began flipping some switches. It turned the power on. "So I do remember how to fly one of these..." he mumbled to himself. "We're supposed to go to Earth, right?" he shouted out to the other two.

The Cremator already had his TARDIS open, flipping the switches and going through multiple safety scenarios inside his head. The power was on, and he re-magnetized his key, getting ready for the flight. "Yes, it is Earth." He called out, hearing The Dentist's question, with a roll of his eyes. The boy began getting everything ready, mentally eager and determined to get everything started.

The Physicist ran up to a TARDIS and opened it. "Why am I always the slow one?" He looked at the thing, before running up to the controls. "Yeah, to Earth we go I suppose." The Physicist ran around the TARDIS looking at the various switches and the console. These were built for 8 people, but they would only have one. "These things get you excited, don't they? Knowing their various powers, and such?" The Physicist picked up the key, and put it in his pocket.

The Dentist smiled. "All I know is that we're about to officially start our lives." he checked some coordinates on Earth. "Set it to fly too..." he checked the coordinates again, and told them it. "Let's do this." he said to himself before flicking a bunch of switches and levers, pushing some buttons, etc. The ISSTU lurched forward, swimming into the time stream. He laughed happily. It was amazing. He grabbed onto the railing. "Are you both there?!" he shouted through the intercom linking the TARDISes.

"Nearly, just gotta set the location." The Physicist set down the coordinates, which were pre-placed, and then began the manual process. He set the console, before running round the other side of the mainframe, and moved a lever that looked like a speed dial on a car. He switched another lever, doing a twirly spin thing before. "I guess I am a natural dan-" He fell over on his shoulder. "God, this is rough!" The Physicist grabbed the main console and held on tight.

The Cremator punched in the coordinates as well. A few levers were pulled, switched on, and turned, before he felt the thing began moving, pulsing, brightening. "Hm?" He grunted, pressing his back against the wall once he felt the notorious shaking and vibrating began like an earthquake.

"It vibrates a lot!" The Physicist hung onto the console tight, but was thrown into a railing. "Ahhh!" He gripped this railing harder. "Would this thing stabilise already?" He then flipped over a railing.
