The Normandy had just arrived at the Artemis Tau Cluster, Joker having slowed the ship down with the relay. Their mission was to find Liara T'Soni in order to see if she had information. However, something came across his readout. He opened it and saw it was a distress call. So he called the Commander as he should have. "Commander, I have a distress call here. Its not Alliance though. Putting it through." The distress call was a rapid series of beeping, changing in speed every so often. But after a short time, it cut out. Joker spoke again. "Looks like something is jamming it." Very quickly, Tali called up. "Commander, I heard the distress call and I recognize it! It is Quarian. The message mentioned Geth in it. That sort of message is only sent in an attack. That is a ship under attack from Geth!" Joker called back. "So what will we do Captain. Search for T'Soni or go after this signal. I got coordinates."

Commander Jane Shepard still felt little bit uneasy after taking the control of Normandy. She didn´t feel like she deserved such honour. The ship should belong to Anderson. He was a hero, an ideal of devoted alliance marine.
Only remarkable thing that she ever done was surviving. She survived Mindoir, she survived Akuze. Only thing that made her special was her ability to live longer than her peers and even that was more of curse than gift.

She shook her head. This was not a good time for thoughts like this. Her crew needed her. She knew they were as confused with recent changes as she was and seeing their commander weak and troubled would only make matters worse. She had obligations to them after all, to them, to her race and now even to the whole bloody universe. That though made her smile a little. It was bittersweet smile and little bit sour on the lips, but still a smile.
She was a specter now, best of the best. At least something to be proud on.
She almost finished her pre-mission preparations when Joker´s call get to her. Things get complicated as always, she was sure of it. "I am coming," she answered the call.

She quickly made her way into command deck and listened to the transmission they had recieved. Geth attacked Quarian ship, not very surprising thing. But what were Geth or Quarian doing here? "It could be trap... But if it isn´t, Quarian blood would be on our hands. I think T´Soni can wait a while. Let´s see what are Geth up to"

Joker nodded at the order. "Alright Commander. Heading to the coordinates." Tali was happy about Shepard's choice to help one of her own kind. Quarians were not treat as more than second class citizens. It meant a lot that the Commander was willing to do something like this for someone who was not a part of the same race. The source of the signal had come from Sharjila, located in the Macedon system. It had a level one pressure warning over it due to the high speed winds across its surface. A scan of the surface showed that there was a smashed and burnt out wreck of a ship with a weak signal which would be the source of the distress signal. However, several electronic sources seemed to be coming from a nearby mine. That seemed like a good place to start to find survivors of the attack.

Inside the mine, there was online one organic being left. Captain Zeto’Rah nar Jann vas Iktomi. She was the last survivor of her crew. Her ship had been a medical vessel. It was a strange vessel for a Quarian because it was equipped not only with quarian specific supplies, but supplies for all other races. Zeto was a genius when it cam to medical knowledge of the known races of the universe. She never turned down someone in need if she could help. She had been following what she assumed was a turian distress call when the ambush had shown up on the planet surface. She had watched as her ship had been blasted to junk and had to run with the crew to get out. All she had was her pistol which she always carried just in case. The rest of the crew that had escaped... barely any had guns and were more doctors than fighters. She had been the last one surviving and locked down a door to a dead end. All Zeto could hope for was that someone heard the distress call and came to help before the Geth forced their way in.

Jane picked Tali and Garrus for a deployment. Tali was sure choice for this mission. She hoped that seeing other Quarian will have a soothing effect on any survivors they find. And Garrus was useful in any situation. He was a little bit too reckless to be a perfect soldier, but his aim was unquestioned and so was his loyalty to Shepard´s cause. This was their first action as a team, but Jane was sure they can work together with ease. And if not, she will have to burry another two comrades. She was survivor after all.

Joker dropped them pretty close to the location of the crash site and remaining distance was little to no problem for Mako. She let Tali drive. Like all Quarians, she had much better understandment for machines than could Jane ever hope to have, and this predisposition could be even seen in her driving skills. She handled an armoured tank with unnatural ease, skillfuly avoiding any obstacle in her way.
Garrus was carefully scanning surroundings with the turret. There was no sight of enemies around, but Jane was sure they were hiding somewhere and she didn´t want any nasty surprises.
With all the main positions taken, only thing left to do for Jane was to check the readings, and she was perfectly okay with it. She always required to have a detailed look on everything.

The scans didn´t register anything alive around the ship, but someone had to turn the beacon on. It could always be the Geth, but Jane didn´t think so. She was pretty optimistic in matter of surviving Quarians. First hand experiences taught her that a man can survive even against the direst odds, if he is determined enough.
There was a mine close to the crash site, with some kind of energy readings coming from there. If Jane had to bet, where were survivors hiding, her salary would went on that option.

Tali stopped Mako right next to the mine. They didn´t bother with investigating the ship. Survivors were the top priority and there would be plenty of time to investigate the ship after they rescue them.
They exited the vehicle and hurried up to the cave, trying to escape strong winds of the planet.
First doors were wide open. Recently open Jane noted when looking on only thin layer of dust. The second doors, far more deeper than first ones, were locked.
"We could blast them..." said Garrus. Always to the point.... thought Jane. "Let´s try to be more subtle first," she answered. Trying to unlock doors through hacking looked like little bit time consuming way of doing things at the time so just knocked on the metal doors, it couldn´t hurt to try it.
"I am commander Jane Shepard of Alliance navy. We heard your distress beacon and came to get you safe," she almost yelled so that whoever was inside heard her.

Zeto had been picking up a Quarian suit signal the entire time. As a medical officer, she had a program made for detecting when any suit came close just in case it needed to adjust suit parameters to apply advanced medical care. But the Geth had been blocking her at every corner. So she had spent the signal's approach trying to hack through to the communications to warn them. It wasn't easy, but she finally broke though in a choppy voice. Tali was the only one who heard it, but she spoke up. "Commander! I have contact with a survivor. They say Geth are just past the door!" It was true, the knocking had made the Geth take positions for an ambush. They were waiting for them to enter. They had orders to kill the human spectre from Saren himself, so they were ready to do so. Tali continued to listen. "She is saying that the numbers are twenty to thirty and she is the only one left. I can barely understand, but I think there is only one survivor Commander. The Captain."

Jane cursed. She didn´t do it very often, quality over quantity was her motto in these things. To show her position was flat out stupid. "It looks like we are going to blast a lot more than just these doors..." she said angrily.
Three trying to shoot their way against more than two dozens? That will hell of a ride to survive. They could always back out, but leaving Quarian to her fate just didn´t feel right to her. They will have to try it. She had the power of two skilled combatants, grenades and biotics on her side, after all, if she couldn´t do it, then nobody could.
She turned to her team and gave orders "Tali start with hacking those doors, Garrus prepare to throw some grenades. We are going to make a hell of an entré."
While waiting, she prepared her biotics. First she raised her barrier, then mentally and physically prepared to do even harder things. She knew that in the end of the fight, she will be more spent than her shotgun´s magazine, but she didn´t see any other way to do things.

Panel at the side of doors make its characteristical sound and doors started to open.
"Garrus, now!" Jane yelled and couple of small object flew through the opening doors. Sounds of explosions followed shortly after. Even more things flew in the air and Jane counted to three to prepare herself. She was about to do something very stupid.
She channeled her powers and then charged into the crowd of enemies like a bullet. Shockwave of her charge sent down most enemies around her and Jane systematically shoot those who were still standing, while trying to find some kind of cover.
Her squad mates joined an assault not much later. Garrus provided her with a cover fire, spraying enemies with his assault rifle. Tali disrupted enemy on other side. She put her skills into good use and Geth were soon fumbling with some kind of malfunction.

Jane´s fingers almost never left her gun´s tap. She emptied her magazine into the closest Geth, quickly reloaded while sending another Geth into air and sent him into silicon heaven shortly after. So far so good, she told to herself and peeped from cover to take down another enemy. She shot him right into flashlight, but another Geth paid her back. Jane´s barrier wavered and shot came through, it even pierced her shield and armour and burned her left shoulder. "Bloody hell!" she growled but kept fighting. It will have to wait.

"That was the last one!" Garrus shouted. And Jane lowered to her knees, exhausted. The gunfight lasted just a few more moments, but to Jane it seemed like an eternity. Her wounded shoulder pained like a hell, her stomach tried to devour itself and her lungs were desperately in need of more air. The adrenalin was all out, and she felt really tired. "Are you guys alright?" she asked with lowered voice. Their response was positive. At least something.
She found her way back on her feet and slowly walked into another part of the mine. "Let´s find that Quarian then..."

It was a hard battle. Geth were smarter the larger their numbers were and a large force like that made them pretty damn smart. The fight was given as good as it was receive in both gases. Sure, the Geth lost, but they dished out a beating that definitely exhausted the team. But, thanks to Shepard's talent as a commanding officer and her skill in battle, the Geth were beaten and all hostile targets were eliminated. Their hole filled metal bodies lay on the ground while the squad still stood. As they looked around the cavern, the obvious place for the Quarian in hiding would definitely be the door with a shot opening panel. There was no way physically to get through and digitally it would take time to break through. But they didn't have to hack it since the door opened by itself.

Behind it was a Quarian in a mainly white suit with black trim. Her visor was orange and her hands were held out in front of her with a tightly gripped pistol aiming right at Sheppard's head. Her slender frame was poised for combat, ready to fire at them in case they turned out to be violent. You could never be too careful. "My name is Zeto’Rah nar Jann. You forgive me if I am weary, but you could be after something." Tali was the one who spoke up. "My name is Tali'Zorah nar Rayya, I am on my pilgrimage and I am travelling with Commander Shepard. The other is Garrus Vakarian, a fellow squad mate. We came to help you." Zeto lowered her gun, but her grip stayed. "Thanks... I am the only survivor. The Geth slaughtered them all." Tali tried to be hopeful. "Some may have escaped..." Zeto cut her off. "All forty nine died. There is no mistaking it. I sealed myself in and hoped rescue was coming."

"I am sorry to hear that. We tried to help as fast as we could," said Shepard, even if she see no point in saying it. It were empty words, nothing more than social phrase with little bit of dull empathy on top of it. She didn´t know any of the Quarinas and their deaths meant just a little to the commander. It was harsh way of thinking, but at least it was honest. After Mindoir and Akuze, she always hated people pretending to feel for her loss. They knew nothing about how she felt or what she had endured, but their words were always full of false compassion.
From what she had seen, the Quarian wasn´t looking for a shoulder to cry on too. She had just seen almost fifty of her companions die, and she was still strong enough to stand on her feet with a weapon ready to shoot at first sight of troubles. She had to be a strong woman with a firm backbone and Jane didn´t want to offend her with empty words of comfort and sympathy.

"At least we "killed" their murderers... " She didn´t know if a word killing was appropriate for destroying the Geth, but she could that would describe the pile of bodies laying on the ground better. She wanted to introduce herself as a part of Alliance navy, but she stopped herself before doing it. She wasn´t with Alliance now, at least technically and her new tittle had a fancy jing to it. "I am commander Shepard, a spectre. I think we should leave this place before more Geths arrive. Loss of the strike force this big surely had to make them a little bit curious and I don´t think I am in a condition to fight anything they send to investigate it. And when we will be on our way, you could tell us what were you doing here and what reason Geth had to attack you."

Zeto studied the shot wound Shepard had and sighed, placing her gun at her hip. "Let me do something about it. I can at least jump start the healing process. Your wound will be a little numb, but the pain will decrease a little." Zeto went over to Shepard and her three fingered hands started going at fast and precise movements. Pockets at her arm and side opened to reveal her pulling out an empty syringe shot and a vial with blue liquid. She got a dab of medigel and put it in the wound, the antiseptic properties stinging it like peroxide. "Bear the pain, it will continue hurting." As one hand applied the medigel, the other held the vial which was stuck by the needle and drawing the liquid in. Once Zeto saw there was enough liquid, she slipped the vial away before penetrating the gel with the needle. The liquid mixed with the gel, making it green. It would stay for twenty minutes before the green would drain into Shepard's body and leave the gel colorless. Zeto then pulled the bonded gel out in one peal and studied the wound. "Alright, my mixture of a Levo-enhancer and medigel has been quickly absorbed in and should slightly increase your healing speed. You will be a hundred percent in no time. Just avoid overly sugary food. Too much sugar can cause... side effects."

In a flash all her tools were back in her pockets and hidden in her suit. She had done the precise and quick work like it was nothing. "In any case, I know exactly why they came. They came for me. Their attack was focused on capturing me, blowing away any and all around me to deprive me of resources. Weaken and capture. A basic method to hunting something. But you are right. We should leave. I'd rather give them proper final rites.... but the revenge will have to do..." Head held down, Zeto started heading to the door. "I'd rather not linger on this place..."

Shepard patiently waited when Zeto tended to her wound. She was a good patient, it came with a practice she guessed. It was just minor wound, but Jane was still glad someone took care of it. A minor injury was still an injury and it was better to be careful than sorry. The wound pained like a hell but the weird gel Quarian applied on tranquilized it just into minor inconvenience, something Jane was very grateful for.
"So that huge pile of chocolate I have stored in my cabin will have to wait..." she sighed when the Quarian told her about sugar-caused side effects. She was only half joking. Because of the biotics, her body required way more ration than required bodies of usual human and the chocolate was her most favourite way of replenishing them. She would use some chocolate right now actually as the fight exhausted her almost to the limits and her stomach was already complaining about it.

At first Jane, wanted to ask the Quarian what she meant by Geth trying to capture her, but she put it aside for a while. The most important thing right now was to get out of the planet. There will be a plenty of time for questions when they will be safely aboard Normandy. She didn´t gave the dead Quarians much of a thought. She didn´t know a lot about Quarian final rites, if anything, but she was sure there was no time for it. Dead will simple had to wait.

She came out of the mine, her steps little bit more wavering, than she would admit, and hop back to the Mako, others fallowing close by.
Now they just had to find a plane large enough for Normandy to pick them up and their work here will be done.

Zeto had been quiet the entire time they were riding out to a clear plane and awaiting pickup. She had a lot on her mind. She was in her mid twenties, made a captain at a young age. Her skill in the medical field as well as her gift of major upgrades to the medical sub routines to Quarian suits had elevated her to the status of the chief medical officer of the fleet. She was considered a genius, many honored to serve on a medical ship like her Iktomi. That ship... she had put so much work on it so she and her crew could help. She had been idealistic. A fool. And her foolishness has gotten her entire crew killed. They all were survived by families. Protocol dictated that as the highest surviving crew member, as captain, she had a duty to inform all the families of the deceased. They would hate her. Curse her for taking their sons and daughters into a deadly ambush. She couldn't even save one. The screams of anguish as they were mowed down were as fresh in her mind as the second she heard them. They would haunt her dreams for a while. She deserved such torment. Upon getting on the ship, Zeto was just silent. Even a sympathetic hand on her shoulder from Tali was not enough to get a reaction. The whole thing was settling in now that the fear of the Geth had drained out.

The return to Normady was a strange one. Everyone was silent. It was mostly because of the exhaustion and partly because of Zeto. Shepard might not see woman´s face because of her mask, but she still could sense emotions that raged inside of her. There was something in her stance, in the way she moved. Something that was very familiar to Shepard. Combination of grief and anger that burned from inside. She knew that feeling very well from previous encounters and it never really left her.
She had thought about trying to comfort the Quarian in some way, maybe with gesture of some kind. It might not hurt to give her a shoulder she could cry on, but she immediately dissmissed the thought. It wouldn´t appropriate for her to do such things. She was still a soldier, despite her specter status, and comforting others just wasn´t her way of things. Besides, when she looked, Jane had seen that Tali took care of things, although it was hard to judge if she was successful.

Aboard the ship, Shepard dissmissed her strike team. They would enjoy some rest and she wanted to speak with Zeto little bit more privately. If Geth were after her, she could be useful to her hunt for Saren and Shepard always had opportunistic nature.
She took the Quarian to the nursery. Zeto didn´t look injured, at least not physically, but Shepard wanted to make herself sure. Better to be careful then sorry, that was her motto.
She briefly introduced Quarian to dr. Chakwas and told her short version of what happened, there was no need to bother doctor with petty details, and waited for results.

Tali did little to help the guilt. Zeto knew that she was doing her best to help, but the Quarian was keeping her heart hardened. After her period of sulking, Zeto felt that she had to just move on as quickly as possibly and do her duty. Her first order of business had been the report of the ambush and the resulting loss of her entire crew and ship. It was way too soon to expect a message back of course and for now the Commander had been focusing on making sure she was okay and not harmed. Zeto humored the examination Dr. Chakwas gave her purely for Shepard's benefit. She spoke up after the examination limited by the suit she wore. "My body is normal across the board Commander and I was not wounded by any gunfire. I will survive."

Zeto had asked the Alliance doctor for some privacy before speaking with Shepard again. "The Geth were definitely after me... more specifically what I knew. They were instructed to find my files and take them. They were pretty much destroyed in the initial attack though. So they went after me, the next best thing. After all, I was the source of the info. I don't know what the information or I would have been used for though. We should just be happy you arrived and intervened when possible." Zeto had pulled up her omni-tool, looking things up as she continued. "I will not take up too much space for much longer. I will get off at the nearest populated planet and get a ride to the Citadel. I can wait for further orders from the Flotilla from there." She did not expect Shepard to accommodate her for too long. That idealist hope that everyone could treat Quarians as equals was pretty hurt right now. Zeto was low on hope.

Shepard didn´t think that Zeto was wounded in any way, but she had still felt a little bit relieved when dr. Chakwas confirmed it. The Quarian had suffered more than enough for a day, for a lifetime, and an injury could be the last nail to her coffin, especially with immune system as shaky as her specie had.
She couldn´t help herself not to feel pity for the woman. Loosing so much in one day and being left to the mercy of stranger, of an alien, it couldn´t be easy by any means.
"Don´t worry about it. It´s not like we are going to throw you out on the closest piece of rock with solid ground we find. We have just one more important thing to do, and then we will be on our way to the Citadel. You can stay aboard until then," she said and smiled encouragingly, or at least she hoped it looked like that.

"I hope you don´t mind me asking, but what information do you posses, that Geth want it so much?" asked Shepard. She couldn´t help herself, but she was curious about it. Geth were an enemy, and any intel Zeto possessed would be more than useful to her little hunt. "I am specter, ordered to investigate these recent Geth incursions and I could any help I can find. If the knowledge you have was so valuable to Geth, that they didn´t hesitate to make such a ruthless action, It could be vital to my work. I can´t force you to share the info with me... but I would be very grateful if you did." The last part wasn´t all that true. Shepard was a spectre now and there wasn´t many things she couldn´t d,o because of her special status, but she just wouldn´t do them with light heart.

Zeto raised an eyebrow at Shepard, an act unseen because of the orange visor that obscured it. Her arms were crossed defensively across her chest. "They were not specific, but it is strange. The Geth are inorganic beings. Though the Quarian Race know the most about the Geth, which is precious little at the moment since their disappearance, what information could I possess that could be relevant? I am a medical officer. The top of the fleet. The only thing making me different from the others is that i studied the biological information of most of the known races of the universe. So... call me a genius. Its why i became a captain at such a young age. They lured me in with a fake distress call asking for medical assistance. They used by sympathy to draw me in and blew up my ship once I was out. It was a slaughter after and when I locked myself up, they sent messages saying that they would not kill me and they just needed my skills... Of course, she knew nothing of Saren and his command over the Geth. How could she? She had just been an innocent medic up to this point. "I have the skills to get a maimed soldier up again in two minutes at most, but what would the Geth want with me? It makes no sense..."

Shepard´s face changed into puzzled one. Zeto didn´t give her any real answer, she just add a bunch more questions on top of that Jane already had. Sure, Quarian didn´t have to be all that honest, but she doubted it. Zeto´s pain was real, she wouldn´t help her any by keeping a specter in dark.
"I don´t think that any of this suppose to make sense to us. We are organic, they are syntetic. It would no wonder that things work little bit differently in that little flashlights of theirs. But still, why would they need a medic? Engineer maybe, but I don´t think they would have that many uses for someone who works with flesh and tissue, not metal and wires. Maybe it was because of Sar-" she stopped herself before she could finish the sentence. She wasn´t supposed to talk about this things with a stranger, an ununaccredited stranger. But still, it could add some light on the case. She quickly decided. "We have found out, that Geths work on the orders of man named Saren. He is a Turian specter, rough one. Do you have any idea why would Geth work for him?"

A rouge Turian Spectre commanding the Geth? Though it seemed ridiculous, Zeto could not think of a reason why Sheapard would lie given the circumstances. If it was the truth... this Saren was the cause of her crew's death. New anger filled Zeto, fueling her need to get revenge for their deaths. She took a breath to calm herself before thinking. "The Geth could have developed in a million different ways in the time they have been isolated. Their way of thinking could be completely different from ours..." She sighed and put a hand to her chin, adopting a thoughtful pose. "If i had to speculate, this Saren is offering something to the Geth. Something they deem useful enough to trade for via their servitude Or they are working to a goal. I just don't have enough information to make a sound judgement. Machine minds work differently and the little psychology that I have read on deals with normal thought processes..."

Looking up at Shepard, Zeto's stance had changed. She seemed more straight backed, tougher. "Shepard, I want to ask a favor. If this Saren is in command of the Geth, he is to blame for my crew's deaths. I want to kill him. They deserve that much. I will be of use to you. My medical knowledge is quite high, my speed of treatment and fast thinking works well in battle conditions and I know how to take care of myself with a gun. I've had... many experiences with extreme conditions that have hardened me. Please take me with you. I want to spend the time before the Flotilla needs me again going after Saren."

Zeto´s sudden change of stance quite surprised Shepard. Surprised and even more convinced her, that there was determined and willful woman ready to fight for what she thought was right. She might not see her facial expressions but her stance and something in her voice, even distorted by speakers, gave her intentions away.
She longed for justice and that was something Shepard could identify with. She still remembered her thirst for batarian blood after that slaver raid on Mindoir, or righteous rage she felt after disaster that happened to her old unit.
Face to face such a determination, Shepard had to hold herself to not nod immediately. Could she really take her? Could she really trust her? If she would let anyone to join her little crusade Normandy would be soon crowded...
But it was pretty much how Tali, Garrus or Wrex get on board, so she couldn´t really justify to reject the Quarian. And if she was a medical genius, as she said, she would surely be an asset to the team.
Council could have some objections, but Shepard doubted it. They cared little about how had she done her job, results were all that mattered.

"Your willingness to help is surely appreciated and I know it will sound a little bit too harsh, but I have no proof of your skills or loyalty. It would be naive of me to just let you hop in without a little test of your abilities. Like I said earlier, I have some job to do close by. It should be easy and I think it would also be a perfect test of your capabilities." Shepard was maybe little bit harsher and colder. when she spoke, but she had to set things straight first. "Also, if you join my team, you will have to accept that I am the leader. I am not very strict about rules or morale, just keep in mind that I have always the final world."

"Agreed." There was no pause for thought nor hesitation. She simply agreed to the terms as soon as they were given. Obviously Zeto didn't care what she had to do to be on this mission. She would do it just to have a chance to get at Saren. "If you and Dr. Chakwas would not mind, I would prefer to work in the medical bay when not off the ship as well. It would be the best place for my skill set to be utilized. I am a bit more practiced on dealing with non-human biology on a first hand basis." To be honest, Zeto also felt that the medical bay would also keep her busy and distracted from thoughts of her own failure. Her life, all the way up to her becoming the youngest captain ever in the Flotilla, had been success after success. Perhaps she was too used to things going right and the failure stung a bit more due to that? In any case, she didn't want to dwell on it. Right now she wanted something to do, just to keep herself busy.

She may look confident on the outside, but the female quarian was a mess inside. She hadn't eaten for a full day, she had lost so many good and close friends that had believed and followed her into death, she had a burning desire for revenge that was cooling off and leaving her feeling empty thanks to her practiced ability to stay calm in stressful situations, and a restlessness from not having her hands busy. Even aboard her own ship the Iktomi, actually an old Alliance medical ship that she had obtained herself, Zeto always kept busy. Whether it was helping the crew, tinkering and improving the medical machinery, or simply working on medical theory in her own personal logs, she always found something to do. She hoped she would be able to keep herself just as busy here.

Shepard never doubted that Zeto will agree to her terms, but she was still glad when she heard it from Quarian own "lips". If Zeto really was as good as she said, she could be a great asset to the team. Chakwas was terrific in her job, but still... it never really hurt to have another medical genius on board.
"I have no problem with you staying here, there after all isn´t a better place for medically skilled person in here. And I am sure dr. Chakwas won´t mind it either. She is pretty open mind in these things and I am sure she will appreciate any help she gets. You will just have to figure out details with her."

She wanted to add something else, but her attention demanding stomach interrupted her. Only now, Shepard truly noted, how hungry she actually was and almost blushed, embarrassed.
"Sorry," she apologized, than a thought came on her mind. Qurian was probably as hungry as she was. Well maybe not quite as hungry as Shepard, she was biotic after all, but still... she had to be starved to the death.
"I am going to eat something. Would you mind joining me? I am not sure what exactly do you Quarians eat, but we surely have some non-human food in here."
Shepard hoped that Qurian will go with her. She always tried to have close relationship with people she served with, and there was no better place for a little chat than a dinner table. She also hoped that speaking will divert Zeto´s attention to something else than death of her crew.
