Right. So, I came up with this idea quite some time ago, and only recently rediscovered it from the depths of my hard drive.
General Plot:
The year is 2014. The 2013 New Year’s festivities have just passed, and people are beginning to go back to their day-to-day routines. For some people, the dawn of 2014 marks a new school year; a new school year at Grimwell Academy. Nearly 20 years ago, a short drive away from the town of Grimwell, a new academy opened its doors for different students of all ages. Said school came to be known as Grimwell Academy. The town of Grimwell itself isn’t anything special. The population sits at a little below 2,000, so one may begin to wonder how Grimwell Academy attracted as many students to enroll from various places around the state and country as it did.
The academy itself is quite nice. The weather in the area never really tends to get stormy or gray, and as such you’ll often find students taking a stroll around the campus grounds for a breath of fresh air. There’s a large main building where the classrooms, library and cafeteria are located. There’s the gym and auditorium, then the girls and boys dormitory buildings which sit right across from each other.
Now, students have begun to arrive for the new school year at Grimwell Academy. Some are new, some are returning for their second year. A notable change has happened: The campus grounds itself are now fenced off and to get into the campus grounds, you must pass through a large grand gate. No one seemed to really mind this change, though. Many blamed it on the fact the area has been known to have various wildlife creatures going around, and this fence was a way to keep them out. Little did they know it would keep them in.
The arriving students are unaware a new ‘headmaster’ has been appointed at Grimwell Academy. By appointed, well I mean the old one was ‘mysteriously’ killed and this new one decided he was best fit to be the academy’s new headmaster. You wouldn't be able to tell just by taking one look at him, but he has many great plans for the academy and his new students.
As the various students arrive, some might say some have this sense of unease. Something is different aside from the new fence, but no one can quite tell what it is.
The new headmaster is waiting and watching from various security cameras set up around campus. Once all his ‘precious’ students are in, the gate will close.
And the games will begin.
Gist of the Plot:
To summarize it all up: New ‘self-appointed’ headmaster, students arrive, electric fence, gate closes, the games begin. The games will include tests in the student’s morality, truly testing the bond between friendships, life or death decisions, among other things. Over time, I would imagine the cast would try to find… unconventional ways of escaping the campus, whether it be by tracking down just where the headmaster is hiding and kill him, or discover one of the school’s many secrets that could perhaps aid them in escaping without having to get down-and-dirty with the headmaster.
So yeah, any takers? I’d aim for this to be around low-casual, maybe a bit higher depending.
