Name: Isaac "Eyes" Moore
Age: 21
Race: Human
Gender: Male ((what? Mach's playing a dude??? WHaaaat???!!))
Height: 6'2"
Rank: C
Appearance:Isaac is blessed with a fairly imposing figure. For a human, he is intimidating. He stands tall, a few inches above six feet in height. His build is athletic, with lean muscles and little body fat. The man's features hint at a heritage that may have once been Asian, but has been long since lost in a mixture of varied ethnicities. Scars cover his body, most hidden beneath his shirt.
Most predominant of his features, however, is the mechanical apparatus that adorns the left half of his face. Having lost his eye in an accident, Isaac was outfitted with an experimental prosthetic retina. The structure extends from his temple down along his jawbone, and back nearly to his left ear. It was once pristine titanium, but is now dented and warped in a few places. Isaac's other eye is a brown so dark it's nearly black, and seems to view the world with a subtle discontent.
Abilities: Though he is only human, Isaac's mechanical eye does grant him a few small advantages. It is equipped with an optical zoom function, allowing him to view objects at a magnification of 14x. When it is functioning properly, Isaac's eye is also able to snap high-resolution (15 megapixel) photographs and record short video clips. These save to a 3 gigabyte memory card, located within the structure of his mechanical eye.
Skills:Piloting: Isaac is trained to fly high-velocity jet planes, as well as spacecraft. He has a very fast reaction time, and his biological eye misses nothing. His mechanical one, though, still needs some getting used to.
Athleticism:When he wasn't busy with pilot training or his other courses, odds are you could find Isaac participating in some sport. On his home planet, he played every local game he could find. The obstacle course was viewed as the greatest athletic achievement in his community, and Isaac was a master.
Resourcefulness: Isaac knows how to talk to people. He knows how to use his surroundings to his advantage. He is quick and calculating, and can make decisions under pressure.
Brief Bio/History:Prior to the Human Colonization Outreach Program (see Hugh Manning's character sheet), humans had been leaving the Earth for decades, on far smaller ships. Most who left found homes where life would be unpleasant. Some landed on worlds already colonized by other alien races. They were treated as foreigners, and often eradicated. Others landed on inhospitable planets where they struggled to survive, let alone thrive. However, a select few managed to make their way to worlds where they were welcomed. Isaac's ancestors were one such case.
Isaac hails from the planet Brak. The indigenous people were a race of insect-like humanoids; very agile, with a vocal apparatus similar to humans. Communication was possible, and the two races were able to interact diplomatically. The small human community was welcomed, and allowed to thrive. They adopted Brakkian culture, partaking in their games, eating their food, and the Brakkians shared the interest in human technology. Whereas other human colonies met discouraging ends, the colony on Brak was the rare success story.
Isaac was a third generation Brak-born human. By the time he was a young adult, the technology sector was thriving on the planet. Brakkians paid large quantities of money for humans capable of operating machinery, and Isaac had dreams of being a pilot. Fighter jet races were a huge source of entertainment for Brakkians, and humans were all-too-willing to oblige. Isaac was a natural, and began training at the age of 17.
He got his full license two years later, at 19, and became one of the best pilots in the league. However, within the past year, Isaac's life has basically gone to shit. First came the accident, shortly before his twenty-first birthday. An engine failed in-flight. There was no way it could have been prevented, and no way it could have been detected before take-off. Mid-air, with no source of thrust, Isaac's craft plummeted to the ground. He was told he emerged from the crash lucky. Shrapnel pierced his body in a dozen places, but most severe was the damage to his head. The bone of his eye socket was crushed, and his eye damaged beyond any hope of repair.
The racing league, acknowledging Isaac as one of their finest, paid him compensation in the form of an experimental retina. The device was untested, but Isaac took the chance. It worked...until the Ebolorian invasion.
Brakkians were a peaceful race, as was proven in their relationship with the human settlers. Their only defense against the Ebolorians were the small league of human jet-fighters. Jet races were a popular sport, and they were seventy planes strong in total. However, the Ebolorians still outnumbered them ten to one. Humans and Brakkians alike stood no chance. Isaac did his part, but was hindered by his new eye. It allowed for him to see, but not to the same level a human eye could. He was blindsided five minutes into the first battle, and taken captive by the Ebolorians. Two weeks later, they arrived at Home Planet.
