Cool. I will probably use some of the brown islands near Uarsh for the main base of operations for AVA, but they will have small outposts to fire bases scattered throughout the continent probably. Oh and I forgot to mention that you guys are free to use the I.F.E. as a background piece too. AVA is just serves as essentially the spear tip of the I.F.E.'s aggressive colonization policy in place towards the planet.

The Primary defense force of the Colony and many others like it.


A small roaming band of mercenaries who had came into the service of the Fanrong Colony. They first made their appearance in the outbreak of the conflict between the colonies and natives, Fanrong, like many others, were isolated and vulnerable and were on the verge of collapse. The Fanrong Colony managed to survive thus far thanks in part of the Grave Company mercenaries. With the arrival of a Marine Expeditionary Force from Canton, the mercenaries were free to live, but remained, mostly out of some Altruistic sense of duty.

Brief History: Once word spread of the discovery of Dacyira, worlds in the surrounding sectors begun to stack their claim as colony ships were sent en mass. The Canton colony ship of Xīn shǔguāng was among them, Carrying two hundred thousand colonists, she made her long voyage from Canton to this new alien world ripe for the taking. And unlike many other colony operations, the Cantonese had a slight head start.

The IMIB, a close partner of the Canton Alliance, had set claim on the planet in the form of the Astani Mining Corporation, they were among the first to settle on he surface. As such, the Cantonese colonists had a safe, secure region lands for them. Dozens of colonial settlements rose up within ASM territory, all to fulfill a purpose. Fanrong was to be one of several agricultural settlements, a main source of food for the whole region.

A year later, it seemed the colonists were safe from the conflict and fighting. However, soon the Natives became more aggressive and hostile, and begun to raid the Canton Settlements simultaneously. The campaign lasted a year before the dacyrii were pushed out. But that years was cold and bloody one for the people, the natives were slowly choking the colonists to death as the settlements were cut off and isolated from one another. The Fanrong colonists feared the worst as they were to become a target for their food stockpiles, and were besieged.

Hope for a fighting chance came in the form of a small mercenary company, Grave Company as they referred to themselves. The Governor had acquired their assistance for quite a hefty sum, but nonetheless, the mercenaries were all that was needed for the Militia to hold back the aliens and push them out.

Today, times have become for dire for the Canton Settlements, as now even other colonies are encroaching upon their territory. Fanrong stands at the frontlines of this war, side by side with their mercenary allies.

* Bioengineering for All: Every colonist of Azura Colony is genetically-engineered to some extent, with physical and mental abilities above the human norm, or in a few special cases exceeding it greatly.
* Molecular Forge: Azura Colony has a noted advantage in possessing a molecular forge, an adaptable and flexible high-tech manufacturing system capable of Industrial 3D printing of most base materials and electronics. It cannot reproduce advanced electronics or optronics, and depends heavily upon detailed schematics to produce anything, but it is of immense utility in production of equipment Azura does have schematics for.
* Comfortable Living: Azura colony is not a hardscrabble outpost. Its a well-maintained colony with plenty of creature comforts and comfortable living standards for its colonists.

Military Assets:
* Bred for Battle- The small Azura Colony security force is bolstered by the fact that every soldier in its ranks has mandatory gene-modding ontop of their pre-existing mod-type, creating fighters that are naturally fit, energetic, calm under fire, and are more effective than the average human soldier. However they are facing severe manpower and equipment shortages due to their recent accelerated growth, and many of them are new recruits that haven’t seen real battle before.
* Mobile Land, Sky, and Space- For all the Azura Security’s manpower and material problems, they have no shortage of aircraft or spacecraft to contest the skies and orbit, or haul their troops where needed on planet.
* Orbital Support- The original colony ship to found Azura still remains in orbit, and has been refitted by Azura Security to act as a mobile staging base to deploy troops and fighters as well as basic artillery support from orbit.

Military Units
Infantry

"Jacket" Improvised Powered Armor
As the tempo of conflict and native uprisings increases on Dacyira, the Azura colonists are forced to arm themselves to protect their technology and research despite having to build a private security force from scratch. One early effort was to repurpose load-lifting exoskeletons into basic powered armor to carry more guns and equipment into battle, and when paired with a skilled operator is quite effective. While not the best powered armor, the gene-modded fighters of Azura can get a lot more performance out of these suits than a regular human could.

Beater Powered Armor
A heavy weapons powered armor suit derived from imported mercenary hardware and lessons learned from the Jacket’s early iterations, the Beater is a multiple weapons systems deployment platform. While it does little to augment the wearer’s speed or reflexes and burdens them with considerable weight despite powered servos, it lets them carry a pair of heavy weapons on their shoulders along with dual-wielding wrist weapons without too much encumbrance. Despite ongoing production and replacement plans, Beaters only make up a fraction of A-Sec’s armor supply and can’t replace Jackets, and only the heavy-muscle variant C and B types can haul this armor into battle. But when they do, they are walking tanks.

Vehicles
Sentinel Automated Tank
To supplement Azura's extremely limited manpower base, a number of Sentinel Automated tanks are being utilized to supplement ground forces with some degree of armor support. Armed with a 100mm autoloaded cannon, the Sentinel is a squad-support vehicle meant to follow infantry and provide covering fire and heavy ordinance support. Their limited AI makes them unsuitable for independent operations and they can be outmaneuvered by human-driven vehicles. But they are simple and easy for even a colony to replace in bulk, something Azura is striving towards.

Aircraft
Hornet Fighter
A chance bulk-purchase backed by Foundation funding just as the conflict over Dacyria began to arise to combat the threat of piracy, the Hornet forms the basis of Azura's entire aerial defense force. While second-rate merc hardware, Hornets are reliable and rugged VTOL craft well-suited for colonial combat that can be refitted with a range of payloads and can even travel and fight in space. They are typically armed with a pair of 35mm autocannons paired with anti-air and anti-ground missiles. However Azura has more Hornets than they have trained pilots.

Spacecraft
Refitted colony ship Endeavor
The Endeavor is Azura colony's founding colony ship that brought them to Dacyria. After colonization, the ship was retained for zero-g labspace and orbital surveying, and the colony made do with prefab housing and facilities instead of cannibalizing the ship into their colony. With the rising tensions and conflict on and above the planet, the Azura Militia have commandeered the Endeavor into a mobile staging base for their rapid-reaction forces and half of the Hornet and dropship wings, as well as retrofitting mass driver and laser turrets into the ship as basic defenses against enemy ships. Despite the ongoing refits, the Endeavor is hardly a warship, and furthermore is operating on a skeleton crew and extensive automation for even basic operations.But its a critical linchpin in Azura defenses until reinforcements from the core worlds arrive.

Brief History:
The Eudaimonia Foundation is a interstellar organization dedicated to furthering human transhumanism through genetic engineering, preferably in ways that would allow for all humanity to benefit rather than a small elite, and are noted to be one of the “nicest” transhuman organizations around, with prolong extended lifespans and youth being standard-issue for all of its members.

Azura colony was founded as a branch to investigate how local genetics and environment could improve upon retroviral engineering to allow for advanced genetic modifications to be “back-engineered” into adult subjects. While they have made significant strides in retroviral engineering, their research and advanced infrastructure has also begun to make them a target to the other colonies jealous of their achievements and rich resources they sit upon but do not exploit. Forcing Azura colony to raise a defense force and call to Foundation headquarters for additional support and security, and dig in for the storm to come.

Yet necessity is the mother of innovation, and Azura Colony is more than willing to rise to the challenges to come.

Other:
Every member of the Eudaimonia Foundation is gene-modded in some form, consisting of a general template the subject conforms to via engineering or hereditary genetics, along with personal gene-mods the subject adapts themselves.

Mod-type Templates

C-type: Effectively the baseline genemod of the Eudaimonia Foundation, generally just small modifications to improve health, immune systems, metabolism, deletion of any genetic ailments and disorders, and basic prolong and youth extension. These make up the majority of the Foundation because of how easy they are to implement and their great flexibility of personal customization in comparison to the more rigid archetypes of the higher-class genemod types.

C-type Variants:
* Familiar add-on mod: Less a variation and more of a add-on specialization ontop of standard C-mods, the Familiar family of supplemental modification provides a user with traits and abilities similar to a selected animal (A cat-type would have greater balance and perception, a dog-type would emphasize smell and determination, etc) with ears and tail to match (they arn’t splicing animal DNA in, just traits to make it look like it). Considered one of the greatest examples of retroviral engineering, users can with minor difficulty change familiars over time, although its impossible to have more than one.

B-type: An advanced comprehensive package of cognitive and intellectual upgrades on top of the physical benefits of a C-type package, B-type genemods effectively make a person peak-human in several respects; physically, mentally, socially, although rarely all at once. Most B-types are optimized and specialized in one or two areas. Extended prolong is also included in the template, ensuring greatly extended lifespans and youth. Programs are in progress to retroviral engineer B-mods into C-types, although they are presently of varying effectiveness in breeding true. Furthermore B-types are not as genetically flexible as C-types, and can’t accept as many add-on mods.

B-type Variants:
* Venus-Type: A social interaction template meant to optimize individual empathy and charisma, as well as memory and physical beauty. Venus-types tend to have bodies that "merely" start at very attractive and perfectly-proportioned, and work up from there as their mods assert themselves and they find their social niche to work into. They are usually marked by a preference for unusual hair colors.
*Thinker-type: An A-type knockoff template focusing solely on cognitive and intellectual abilities, Thinker-mods effectively turn the user into a powerful living computer capable of astounding feats in complex thinking, computer interactions and interface, theoretical engineering, and high synchronization with mind-machine interfaces which they tend to wear all the time. Thanks to decades of engineering, Thinkers are not socially crippled or erratic, but they arn’t party-people either and prefer to be alone or with other Thinkers.

A-Type: Beyond peak human in all respects, A-types are rare individuals that through advanced gene-engineering, technology, family genetics, or plain luck have yielded truly exceptional and superior genetics and abilities in all regards. Physically, mentally, socially, cognitively, a A-type is outright superior in all respects, and they tend to gravitate towards leadership roles accordingly. However reliably reproducing or replicating A-type templates is exceedingly difficult, as a procedure for one person may not work for another, nor do they breed true. Attempts to study and reliably replicate A-types are one of the major focuses of the Foundation.

A-type Variants:
* Liberator-type: A high-intensity combat genemod type meant to produce supersoldiers through improved agility, reflexes, and hardiness under fire via modified adrenaline glands to promote rational and calm thinking even in pitched combat situations, rather than emphasizing aggression and muscle (although they have a fair share of that as well) producing exceedingly high-quality soldiers. Liberators are extremely difficult to engineer though, and despite being a reliable A-type template available to the Foundation there are only a dozen among the Foundation with little impetus to create or import more from offworld. They also have a noted flaw of not being able to control when their “battle reflex” kicks in off the battlefield, resulting in treating social or intellectual activities like a warzone, with according negative results.

The stander trooper of the confederate militarily well equip, armed, disciplined, and trained. They form into squads of ten men lead by a Sargent, they are one of the main backbones of the confederate expeditionary force.
CEF Commandos
The elites of the Confederate military they highly trained and have access to experimental weapons in the CEF arsenal. They handle the more dangerous mission than the normal CEF forces wouldn't to.
CEF M21 mech suit
Confederate heavily armored mech suit armed with a single 20mm autocannon on each arm, it can also be armed with a twin linked 50. caliber machine guns, or a deployable riot shield.
CEF Armored Personnel Carrier
An all terrain vehicle used for transportation and logistical support. It can be equipped for a large verity of equipment and weapons for many different of roles.
CEF V-16 Main Battle Tank
WIth a crew of 5 it's armed with a 155 mm smooth bore cannon and a mounted 20mm autocannon. It's the main battle tank for confederate forces.
CEF Ar-21 Artillery
With a crew of 7 it has a sophisticated targeting system and armed with a 250mm howitzer. Main role is to act as a long range artillery.
CEF V-22 "Saber" gunship
A rugged confederate VTOL its armed with a dual 45 mm autocannons, a nose mounted 35mm autocannon, several different types of missiles under winged. it has a crew of two a pilot and Weapon systems officer.
CEF IF-45 "Razor' multirole fighter
A single seat fighter its armed with dual 35mm cannons and several different types of missiles, bombs, or torpedoes. It can also preform space operation.
CEF VT-32 light transport
Simple and rugged Infantry transport used my the Confederate military for the transportation of infantry to and from combat zones. Crewed by four a pilot, a co-pilot, and two door gunners its armed with one 25mm chaingun under the nose, two 30mm chain gun doorgun, a 70 mm rocket pods under each wing, and optional extra 6 anti-tank missile. The Vt-32 has diffrent configuration for different task. Its capable of going into space.
CEF VH-56 heavy transport
The Confederate heavy lifter transport It cans trasport large amounts of troops, vehicles, and cargo to were ever they need to go. Its is limited in it uses in combat due to its size and armament. Its mostly used as a bulk transporter for transporting supplies, troop, and vehicles from orbit to the surface of planets.

Brief History: Formed by the Mizar Confederacy to be a mobile force to protect and help to keep order in its colonies on the Final Frontier and to expand its territories. Over the years it has become a highly skilled fighting force earning a reputation as never backing back down or retreat. But soon a call of help came from the Provisional governor of Dacyira and with the I.F.E. sending there enforcers to the planet the elements of the CEF was sent to Dacyira to protect Confederate holdings.

Super-Heavy BWEs:
A development of a simple vehicle going back hundreds of years the Super Heavy Bucket Wheel Excavator is indisputably the largest machine used on the surface of any world by Humans. Used to move vast amounts of cleared land and to operate in all stages of a mining operation the Super-Heavy BWE exists as a vast construct nearly a kilometer higher and with a wheel capable of moving thousands of tones of rock and soil per second.

Assorted Medium to Small Excavators:
Smaller excavators, whether drag line, shovel based, stationary, or other are the main devices employed in gathering materiel during the mining process. Used in a ide variety of roles for digging or for moving materiel to haul trucks these simply machines are vital to any mining effort.

Assorted Haul Trucks:
Haul trucks of nearly every size are utilized to move either unrefined or refined cargo from one area to another. Some trucks tower over every tree while some are scarely the hiehgt of a human being. Every truck has a purpose and a use.

Dozers:
Dozers exist as vehicles used for land moving, usually employed to clear land or to push large sums of it into place dozers are the front line vehicles that operate to keep the mines running.

Boring Vehicles:
Designed to dig deep into any obstacle Boring vehicles are used to dig down shafts, build tunnels, or set a hole in a cliff so explosives can be used to their full effect.

MATP
The Multi-Use All Terrain Probe is an unmanned device designed for exploratory work in mines and other hostile environments. Designed with a vast sensor array and various scientific equipment as well as a manipulator arm and four fans to keep it airborne the MATP is deployed before any human is allowed access to an area.

Heavy Lift Vehicles:
Air based helicopters, some of the last ones in wide use, HLV’s are often substantially more durable than jet or rocket VOTL craft and as a result find wide use in the industrial sector. Used too transport cargo by air through suspension cables, the technology is merely a scaled up version of what was in place as early as the 1950s.

Miner Assistance Suit:
An exosuit first used in the Lunar mines the MAS is standard gear for any miner whether underground or in the open. Boosting the strength of any human individual to new highs the MAS can also provide life support for space bound activates or in the case of an emergency. The MAS is modular and can be stripped down to the simply exosuit or be equipped with any number of tools.

Logistics Station
A large station manned by 82 people the logistics station executes orbital scans for mineral deposits on the planet and is responsible for coordinating all on the move activities, while the land based office handles planning beforehand and emergency response. The Logistics station is heavily armed with SpeedStrike MkIII 46mm railguns, capable of automatic fire at 600 RPM.

ASM Security Forces/SPS:
All security forces within the ASM are armed with 7.62 caseless rifles and wear a combat oriented exosuit simply called the security protection suit. Not designed for combat the suit is capable of stopping small to moderate arms fire and has NBC protection. Deployable are sonic area denial systems and capsaicin based gas canisters.

Romo Armoured Personnel Carrier:
Produced by the Romo corporation for used on Earth and later retrofitted for riots this particular APC is NBC safeguarded. It also carries up to 15 people excluding the 4 man crew and is armed with a 30mm turret mounted caseless autocannon controlled from within the vehicle with a coaxial 12.7mm caseless machine gun. Left over from military use are two turret mounted ATGM's with milspec guidance systems. The APC is equipped with smoke launchers and if necessary a microwave based less then lethal area denial system.

Romo Scout Craft
Produced by the room corporation for use in short range mission the scout craft is a small VTOL combat capable transport that can carry 8 people and 3 crew members. Armed with 2 remote controlled 12.7 caseless machine guns, one 20mm caseless autocannon and 2 mountable AAM scramjet missiles. the scout is used to verify the location of a threat or to respond to one as fast as possible.

Brief History:
Formed during the solar mining boom of 2130 the ASM grew from a small company based on the moon to a megacorp in ten short years during the boom by ruthlessly exploiting legislation to grant them ever expanding exclusive rights to mine within the solar system. Able to weather the crash that eventually, inevitably, followed by absorbing several smaller companies the ASM emerged as one of the main names in planetary mining by 2180. Ten years later, following the clear reality that within the next two centuries interstellar travel would be possible, and the reality that a post scarcity society could ruin the free market the ASM entered secret negotiations that resulted in the creation of the IMIB, a scarcely legal alliance between mining companies that for the moment guaranteed a controlling share in the resources of the solar system. Often attacked with legal actions the IMIB managed to survive and grow, even though its monopoly waned due to an expanding market it still managed to establish itself as the main voice for mining interests and became the prime target for so called "space environmentalists" who took their battle on earth to the stars.

This prosperity, even in the face of harsh criticism, lasted until 2230 when the environmentalist movement managed to push through legislation that would force the IMIB to disband. It was only hours after a closed session among its representatives that the IMIB declared itself a stateless entity, much to the horror of most governments. While there was constant talk of military action for the next ten years, and a considerable drop in IMIB member company stock it became clear that a confrontation with the IMIB was impossible, though it no longer held the monopoly it once did the IMIB proved to be a large enough supplier that no government dared cut themselves off. It was not long until the state of affairs returned to normal, the key difference was now the IMIB had no oversight but its own agents, a boon that would be vital to the organization in years to come.

By 2299 the IMIB had the resources to set itself up for expansion to the stars. Often piggybacking on colonial expeditions the IMIB would set itself up in numerous systems, creating a monetary base large enough that in 2325 the organization was among the largest forces in resource acquisition, even having branched out into to the chemical industry. Usually opting for peaceful coexistence with indigenous human colonial or defacto governments on various worlds the IMIB has gained a reputation for being reasonable when it can, and ruthlessly brutal when it feels the reward is greater than the risk. The ASM has always been at the center of the IMIB as a founding member, and to this day plays no small part in IMIB policy, but to say any one company controls the vast organization would be faulty.

Closest thing in caliber can find are these IRL,however there are many 400+ mm howitzers.

The issue there is the trend in military matters is precision>raw power. Given 200 years of development things in that caliber would be useless outside of being bombards as an inevitably slow reload time and awful track traverse from the ammo weight come into play.

Brief History:
The Canton Alliance bore witness to Dacyria’s potential soon after the first colony had been established on-world, but it did not fully realize it until a year later, after it established Fánróng on the continent dubbed Sakira. Fánróng proved to be an agricultural gold mine, owing its success to a prime location of resources and the cooperation of the Astani Mining Corporation. Motivated with the success of the colony, Canton began to set up more operations in surrounding areas, forming a strong cultivation network. To its ire, however, other nations had seen its progress and foreign establishments were beginning to emerge on Dacyria. This, combined with a recent surge in attacks by the planet’s indigenous races told Canton it needed the backbone of more than colony militias. To secure its holdings on the planet, the Canton Alliance deployed the 3rd Interplanetary Marine Expeditionary Group, a task force of more than 14,500 soldiers and personnel to Sakira.

I made a climate zone map for Sigma with marked mountain ranges on areas that looked like they would form them. Just went off the equator and climate trends, not an exact map but if Sigma likes it.

Captain Integra's warship and the flagship of the Starlight Reavers.

A top of the line cruiser gifted to Integra by her father for her sixteenth birthday, integrating bleeding edge human technology and pirate ingenuity into a single, heavily armed package. While not quite as impressive as her father's "Vimana", "Little Princess" sets itself apart from most warships with its extraordinary mobility and virtually unique stabilizing capabilities, allowing it to transition between open space, orbital and planetary warfare almost seamlessly. Even for a cruiser, Little Princess is armed to the teeth, making it a force to be reckoned with even when faced with far larger ships.

As far as starships go, Little Princess is superior to common warships in most fields, but its complexity means that it is costly and time-consuming to repair if damaged, and needs to have crew constantly monitoring the bridge. Its high reactor consumption results in it needing to "take a breather" between long engagements, potentially leaving it vulnerable if a follow-up-attack were to occur.

(Two Larger, with two medium sized ships and four smaller ships.)

A small collection of starships of various sizes and shapes and very minor armaments, all designed for the purpose of hauling large amounts of cargo. These ships possess a limited crew and get by mostly through automation, but are usually Captained by a minor officer trusted to protect the loot and bring it back to the stash.
-Hidden Base, the "Hideout"-

A well equipped, albeit hastily made hideout in an undisclosed location. With the way it has been constructed, it is extremely difficult to detect unless specifically targeted, and it is the location from which the Starlight Reavers are basing their operations in Dacyira. Also serves as a stash and communications center.

Brief History: The Starlight Reavers are an offshoot of an extremely successful and infamous organization of Space Pirates. Their Captain is the Daughter of the Captain of those pirates, who has set out into the stars to make a name for herself and loot what she can along the way.

Because it operates on the same ideas of the larger, almost nation-like organization it originates from, the pirates in the Starlight Reavers are surprisingly organized for a "band of rogues". As such, they are more effective than most pirates, which has combined with their powerful starship to make them a serious menace among the stars. Following the trail of colonists, they've discovered a piracy hotspot in the form of Dacyira, and are determined to make the system the very first part of their territory.
