[IC] Digimon: Guild Wars

Fifteen years had passed since the Digidestined defeated Myotismon, letting the world become aware of digital creatures called Digimon. Ten years have passed since Digimon became integrated on earth. Digimon Tamers have begun to pop up and in Odaiba, three Digimon Guilds have been established: The Vaccine Crusaders, The Data Collectors, and the Virus Hackers. The great era of the guild wars have begun in Odaiba.

Raito Enoshima hadn't left his office of the Firewall Organization all morning. The program he had created was in its last developmental stages.

DemiDevimon, who was perched on the desktop, asked, "How potent will it be?"

"Only Wild Digimon with the strongest of will can reject it," Raito replied, not looking away from the monitor, "The wave-length will be issued tomorrow. There will be some... changes soon."

"Gear Stinger!"

A Kokuwamon was pinned to the wall by a FanBeemon's stinger, disqualifying it from the fight. Another Data Collector announced, "This practice match is over! Kouta and FanBeemon win!"

Instead of congratulating his opponent, Kouta made his way to the exit of the Collector Base, stepping out into Odaiba's streets wit FanBeemon flying beside him.

"You're a sore winner," the bee teased his partner.

Kouta shrugged, "Why should I care about the weak? To be strong, I should only associate with the strong."

The Digimon rolled his eyes, "Whatever you say, buddy."

Her table, practically littered in a sea of white papers. You could see ink of all colours, ranging from black to blue to red as she wrote over and over again her practise essay that was upcoming and due soon that she needed to submit, but she hasn't even made any drafts of it. Her hair was tried to a singular bun, and her sea-green fringe clipped neatly away from her face as her fingers slid along the paper's surface. She could've typed her essay, but she chose the traditional. There was a hint of frustration in her long sigh and the gentle smack on the wooden table set Dracomon up to stop and look towards his handler. "What's wrong Ellen, dra?" It's voice raspy and rough, almost high-pitched and very croaky at the same time. "You look awfully unsettled than usual, dra." He continued to play about his building blocks on the floor.

"Ha!" He uses his tiny hands to push a block off its throne, sending it down towards the floor with a silent thud. "I am Dracomon, dra!" He yelled out in victory as he slammed another block off a stack before screeching again.

"Heeey, shush Dracomon!" She turned to him and gave him a gesture. Not a second later her body was back to where it was and she continued to try and make her essay. "This is due in two days so if I don't make any progress today, I won't be able to pass the course!" Her phone vibrated, as a name appeared on the screen that spelled out Ayase. The repetitive tone that it made sounded like it was just going to be a chatty call so Ellen didn't pick it up.

CRASH went the vase as it flew across the room. One very angry hacker who was sitting at the computer couldn't stand what she was looking at. A half cracked code laid upon her screen, She balled her fist slightly, a small Nyaromon hopping off the desk and onto the window sill.

"Eve... You really shouldn't get so worked up over this... It's not healthy." He stated, frowning a bit.
"I know Nya.. But if I don't crack this code soon then I wont know what the other factions are up to. I need to stay two steps ahead." Eve replied back, looking at her tiny digimon. He could evolve into a great being, but he prefered to stay in his more cute form as it gave her more comfort and kept her more calm. Who wouldn't stay calm around him? he was adorable! She took him in her hands and placed him in her lap, petting at his head a bit. "I know you don't like seeing me upset, I'm sorry." she sighed slightly.

"It's alright, Eve. I know you're stressed. Let's go for a walk!" He exclaimed, bouncing up and down a bit. She replied with a nod, standing. She went to the closet and picked out a black leather jacket, slipping it over her upper form.

"Alright, let's go then. I need something to eat anyways. I'm tired of maids food." She stated as she head out the door, Nya jumping up on her should and resting there.

Hokuto wondered why the leader hadn't left the office, but for now she was busy training her Candlemon how to use its attacks apropiately. "Hokuto...are you sure this kind of intesive training is correct?"
The girl was sitting on the ground with her legs crossed, her long hairs flowed down to ground as she looked at her beloved Digimon. "Indeed. That way in case we must engage in fiery combat you will be able to master your powers. I've had you for a while now, but we have never tried this." And it was true. She had Candlemon for two years now and she had never tried to teach Candlemon how to fully master his abilites. Not that they were indeed looking for war but the leader always wanted the Digimons to be in shape. "Now then...Bonfire!" Hokuto ordered Candlemon who obeyed his master and shot a powerful ball of fire to a Gabumon-shaped target. "Impressive...Melt Wax!" Again, Candlemon proceeded to obey her and successfuly melted the target with the burning wax he spit from his mouth. "See? Powerful...and cute!" she giggled and sighed. Candlemon smiled at her, he loved her master more than anything.

Just as five minutes went by, that was also when Ellen's brain left her window. There was just nothing. She couldn't think of anything that could help her do this essay. "What sort of teacher gives an essay about the rules of the high school anyway?!" She crumpled up whatever was left on the paper and tossed it into the mountain of paper balls she already made. Dracomon was busy doing his own thing building and stripping down blocks with his head and arms and feet. "I think I'm gonna need a timeout, fast." Her forehead met with the table as it laid hopelessly.

"You only were working for five minutes, dra... You know Mr. Toastie Attitude will be yelling at you if you don't finish your work, dra." There was a moment of silence in the room until the sound of crashing blocks resounded again. "Ha! Dracomon strong, dra!" It waves its little arms and feet joyfully above the ground before Ellen shot herself up from her seat.

"Let's go out and play Dracomon!" She declared, sending Dracomon into a whirl of confusion.

"Dra? You said you need to finish work dra? Why play now, dra?" It stood beside Ellen and walked out of her room together.

"Because I need some fun before I can get to work. Let's see what will happen today. How many cans you can shoot!" She scouted for her satchel bag containing her purse and some make-up. Applying some of foundation, lipstick, eye-shadow and eye-liner she took off outside to the convenience store. A couple of minutes of walking and they arrived. A Tentomon was carrying boxes along with an Elecmon entering the store and helping around the shop with an old man keeping the store in order.

"Good morning, Ellen and Dracomon." He greeted in her very frail and slightly-choked voice. Perhaps he was coming to her age soon to retire. "Coming to chat with the old man and do your good deed of the day? Or are you here to browse the store, my dear?" He was barely keeping himself standing, and so he sat down.

"I'm here to buy some water soda cans, Mr. Suzuka." She marched on forward with Dracomon looking over the counter towards Mr. Suzuka.

"Hello Mr. Suzuka, dra." It greeted him, his hands barely seen from the high counter. His stumpy legs walked around until he could sit down with the old man in front of him. As soon as Dracomon sat down, Mr. Suzuka patted Dracomon on his head and rustled his hand around some beef jerky and giving it to Dracomon who ate it gratefully.

"Sshh..." He gestured to him and Dracomon only grunted and nodded. Tentomon and Elecmon who finished dropping off the boxes arrived at the scene of the store and saw Dracomon with Mr. Suzuka.

"Dracomon! Hello. Good to see you today." It greeted with its insect-like appendage. Elecmon jumped onto Mr. Suzuka's lap to claim his throne.

"Not causing trouble again, I hope?" Elecmon teased him, only to receive a disgruntled grunt from Dracomon.

"I'm here to talk to Mr. Suzuka while Ellen gets cans for me to shoot at. Sometimes she gets carried away a little and takes long."

"Tell me about it, if Elecmon didn't complain so much." Tentomon added, making Elecmon growl.

"Now, now. It's alright. You two do great work helping me around the store and I appreciate it. I am getting old after all. Although I do want to see Elecmon complain a lot less..." Mr. Suzuka smiled as Tentomon and Dracomon laughed.

Tiffany yawned as she walked around all boredly and stuff. And there she was, her digimon, Renamon walking right besides her. They were the best partners in the digital world! Actually, in any world!

"Kounaaa!" She smiled waiving at him and skipping towards him. Renamon shooked her head following slowly, she didnt want to talk. All she wanted to do was train or something.

"Kouna. How are you? Haha." She smiled at her friend. They were in the same organization. "So you guys just won a match, huh? Congrats!" She said cheerfully. And then Renamon spoke crossing her arms. "Hmph. If you want strong, maybe this insect here could fight me?" Renamon smirked at FanBeemon, she actually liked FanBeemon but she didnt want to show it. They were goodfriends.

After making once again sure that his Digivice was out of sight Danny entered the dark alleyway that was being used by a Mushroomon as territory. Since the wild Digimon attacked anyone who entered he and Falcomon who was using the rooftops to follow his tamer decided to stop the creature before it Digivolved in a far more dangerous Woodmon. If they did manage to defeat this opponent they would bring it's Digi-egg back to the head quarters for research, and Danny assumed he didn't want to know what the research would be used for.

It didn't take long for Mushroomon to take the bait as Danny suddenly heard something behind him. Mushroomon came out from the shadows having prepared a "Mushroom Mash to throw at this intruder.Using this opening Falcomon flew down from roof and attacked the Vegetation Digimon. "Wind Blade!" The powerful wind created by his wings caused cuts to appear all over his opponent. Danny in meantime used the opportunity to get to safety just as he and his partner had planned.

Naturally Mushroomon counterattacked. "Fungus Cruncher!" "Ninja Blade!" Luckily Falcomon expected a move like that and used his throwing stars to hit all of the tiny mushrooms so that Mushroomon was caught in the explosion of his attack. This was enough to defeat him and Danny picked up the orange Digi-egg that was left behind.

While they released very little Data upon defeat, SnowGoburimon knew they would never be able to put up a serious fight against a Rookie like himself. So even though he would have to defeat dozens if not more before he would finally Digivolve, for now the small Ogre Digimon preyed on wild Fresh Digimon. It wasn't long before he came across what seemed like a suitable target : a small three eyed bomb shaped Digimon. Before the Bombon even realized what was going SnowGoburimon attacked.

"Bolt Strike!" The relativity long ranged icicles shot from Snowgoburimon's mouth were enough to obliterate the other Digimon and he made sure to absorb as much of the Data as possible. Unfortunately for the Bommon this meant it wouldn't turn into a Digi-egg.

"Hyah... How annoying..." She picked soda water cans and held them with her arms, as much as possible. "I just want school to be finished... Eh?" She heard a burst of laughter from the other side of the store. Is Dracomon having fun? "... That's good for him, I guess." The cans clunked against each other. "Maybe this is enough." She took whatever she could get with her arms and raced back to the counter. Mr. Suzuka was chatting with the other digimons and it looked like they were enjoying it. Dracomon sat by and listened tentatively of Suzuka's early years, only to be fascinated by it until he noticed Ellen returning to pay for her cans.

"You're saving some of that for me later?" It moved aside to Ellen, looking at her curiously.

"Yep. Here, have one now Dracomon." She cracked a can open, and handing it over to Dracomon's little arms.

"Thank you Ellen, dra!" He grabbed the can gently as to not pierce the metal over and began drinking. "Ah, it's crappy as usual." Ellen wasn't pleased.

"Eey! Don't say things like that! Out of all of the drinks that's your favourite one! Mr. Suzuka! I'll be getting these..." She placed all unopened can on the table and counted how many there was on the counter and the one Dracomon was drinking. "Ten cans." Mr. Suzuka was about to stand up but was forced to sit back down as Tentomon intervened.

"It's okay Mr. Suzuka! I'll handle it, you just sit there and relax! Anyway, that's ¥607!" Reaching to her bag, she looked for her coin purse and began counting the exact change for the cans. Tentomon was able to deftly place all the cans into the bag before counting the change placed on the table.

"Wow, you sure can get around, even without fingers." Ellen complimented Tentomon who could only be so modest about his ability to do that.

"Oh, this is thanks to Mr. Suzuka. He trained me well to handle things with these prongs." Tentomon hands over a plastic bag filled with the nine cans of soda water to Ellen who received it gratefully.

"Thank you Tentomon. See you later, Mr. Suzuka! Elecmon!" She waved at them before Dracomon followed by waving and exiting at the same time.

"See you Mr. Suzuka!" He shouted, although ignoring Tentomon and Elecmon in the process. They didn't seem to mind that Dracomon forgot to farewell them.

"Alright, let's head to the park and burst some cans with your G Shurunen!" The both of them make their short journey to the park and within a few minutes, they arrived. She saw some more people with digimons spending their time with them. "Haa... It's pretty crowded today." She turned her head around the park, looking for a suitable place to shoot the cans.

The Guilmon X hiding among the shrouds of tall grass and thick bushes watched the coward attacked the helpless Bombon. As the Bolt Strike landed upon its weak and frail body, its data scattered into the air and SnowGoburimon swallowed them all as much as possible. How annoying. He wanted to just crush that piece of dirt into grains of sand. "ROCK BREAKER!" It leapt, and swung its flaming arms towards SnowGoburimon.

"Perfect," Raito mused aloud as he stood up from his seat. DemiDevimon gave his Tamer an odd look.

"Can't it be activated already?" The bat practically whined.

Raito headed for the door, opening it and turning back to his Digimon, "Patience... is a virtue." DemiDevimon rolled its eyes at that, flying from the desk to perch on Raito's shulder as the two went to check on some of the other members of the Firewall Organization. It didn't take them long to find one of their youngest members, Hokuto.

"Training?" It came out more matter-of-fact than anything, "I expect that it is going well." Meanwhile, DemiDevimon leered at Hokuto and Candlemon. He hated how close the two were but knew Raito had no want to fire Hokuto anytime soon.

Kouta stopped in his tracks, and turned around to face Tiffany and Renamon, "I really wish people'd stop calling me that." Kouna had become a nickname that a few of the other Data Collectors called him, but secretly he did enjoy the nickname.

"Yep!" FanBeemon exclaimed, "We kicked bu--" He faded out when he heard Renamon challenge them.

Kouta smirked, clutching his Digivice with one hand and adjusting his glasses with the other, "Well, Tiff. Gonna put your money where Renamon's mouth is? Because we'll gladly take you on." While his competitive streak was ruthless against other teams, it was much more playful with his fellow guildmates.

Hokuto managed to get a quick glance of DemiDevimon, her boss' beloved Digimon Partner. His treacherous and evilish aura was something that the shy girl really liked; but she wouldn't change her perfect Candlemon for anything in the world. "Candlemon...Say 'Hello' to Raito..." Hokuto told his partner who stood up with her and walked to Raito. "Hello, Boss Raito..." she said keeping her head down while Candlemon looked at them. "Hey there Boss! How ya' doin'?" Candlemon asked them in a friendly way, making Hokuto giggle a bit at his friendly manners. "Anyways...Umm, Raito...I hope that project you are working on is going well. You know you have my complete supports for anything you want, I am here to help you with anything you request, right Candlemon?" Candlemon turned to Raito and winked. "Attaboy boss! You can count on us with everything ya' want!"

The power behind the other Digimon's claws, while not capable of defeating him in one move was enough to tell him that he couldn't win if this fight went on. It took a while but eventually he realized that his enemy was a weird looking Guilmon. Believing that the weird appearance had to be thanks to experimentation SnowGoburimon panicked. " I won't let you take me back to that lab, hear me? Freezing Gobu Breath!" His plan was to freeze his attacker and then run away.

At the same time Danny and Falcomon arrived at the Virus Hackers Headquarters to drop off the Digi-Egg they had picked up earlier. From the outside the HQ didn't seem too impressive, but every member of the guild knew the leader had to have access to large amounts of money to afford all the equipment the building held hidden inside. As always the guard, a Guardromon approached the Digimon and Tamer before they could reach the door. "Password?"

"Asipatravana" Without thinking Danny answered with that weeks password. After he and Falcomon entered they were immediately greeted by Eri the girl who got them to join the guild after they helped her and Pawnchessmon (Black) fight of a group of Aruraumon. "Hey you two, nice to see you." As always when they run into each other the 13 year girl hugged them both.

Tiffany looked at Kauta shrugging. "fine fine!" She said now turning back towards Renamon raising an eyebrow at her. "You better be positive about this!" She would say now turning baco Kauta. "Alright. A FRIENDLY, fight, got it?" A smile formed on her face as she extended her hand to shake hands with him. Tiffany has been having a crush on Kauta since the day they met.

Renamon smirked and shrugged as she would walk away to the battle arena. "Come on, Insect. Dont have all day."

As his arms connected to the weak monster, it sent the beast into the ground with a loud thud. Guilmon X was sure that it had knocked the coward out of its consciousness. Just as he was about to send a fiery breath to its lifeless corpse, the monster stood up in its struggle. It looked at Guilmon X weirdly, as if he'd seen something else behind him. Guilmon X stood on both of its legs snarling at SnowGoburimon. The coward blurted out; "I won't let you take me back to that lab, hear me? Freezing Goby Breath!" It's mouth opened and sent a chilling blizzard to Guilmon X at which he covered his own face up with its arms, blinded and slightly frosted by the breath and couldn't get himself to move fast enough to chase that sucker down. When he could get a hold of himself better, SnowGoburimon was nowhere in sight. What lab was it talking about anyway?

Raito nodded to his younger subordinate, "The program is entering its final stages. What we'll need to do now is make sure none of those guild street rats get in the middle of everything."

DemiDevimon, as Raito spoke, caught Hokuto's quick glance. Hokuto and Candlemon were an odd duo, but they were a strong duo, and that's what mattered to the fiend.

"I appreciate both of your loyalty," Raito replied, "To change this world's hierarchy, we'll need more like you two."

Kouta gave a competitive half-smile and shook Tiffany's hand, "Deal. May the best Tamer win." Tiffany was honestly the person he was the closest to in the Data Collectors, so she was the closest person he could say he'd give a friendly bout to instead of a ruthless one.

FanBeemon flew after Renamon before flying to one side of the arena, replying, "Who're you calling insect, Foxface?"

"For the record," Kouta took his place behind FanBeemon, "Both of you suck at giving insults."

"Shut up, K!" FanBeemon harrumphed at his tamer which did nothing but make Kouta chuckle.

Hokuto was really happy to hear her boss' program was almost ready. She was going to aid him in everything she could, and even protect their organization with her life. She bowed down her head when Raito acknowledged her loyalty and when she looked at Candlemon the Digimon gasped and bowed his head too. "Exactly. Loyal to the very end, Mr. Raito. And it is nice to hear you appreciate our work at the Organization," she told Raito. She gave a wink to the lttle and evil bat. DemiDevimon was someone she really appreciated for some reason, even though they had no direct bound. "Ummm...Mr. Kaito...c-can I ask you to use the training room to...ummm...train Candlemon with his evolutions?" Hokuto knew that the request was a bit silly and that the training room was usually a very special room designed for hardcore activities, but it was worth the try asking him.

[Arylett Dawnsborough]

- Firewall Organization -

"And what about me?"

A young woman entered the scene with Raito and Hokuto, gazing fiercely at them with lavender eyes. There was no real regard for manners as she barged in. She only paid the last of his words, everything else seeming irrelevant to her. This ruffian red-head bore her teeth much like a ravenous dog that was defending its territory, resembling one much more than her canine companion, Labramon. "For all we know, one of those guild scum could've infiltrated us. They might be well ready for it. We have to react quickly. So much hard work can't go to waste so easily," As usual when this fiery red-haired woman spoken, it was accompanied by grand gestures of stamping and violently punching at imaginary enemies.

"But Elayne, how would they know? Haven't we put great protections in place?" responded the small canine Digimon.

"There are always kinks in any protection. Even in a cooperation as illustrious as ours. One of those groups is made up of hackers who I'm sure would know the ways into our mainframe. Then there is a group of data collectors who I am sure are hungry for our information, and..." She paused for a moment to this time glare at these imaginary opponents, picturing a snooty angelic creature looking down at her. "...Crusaders of so-called justice. Sir Kaito, I think we should each infiltrate these organizations ourselves and destroy them from the inside out before they give us any trouble. I volunteer myself for the Vaccine Crusaders."

Raito was just about to respond to Hokuto's request when Elayne entered the room. While Hokuto was much younger than many of the members and Raito preferred to test other's limits before he went through with something, Elayne felt like the real go-getter of the group. This was something that always amused DemiDevimon in particular.

Raito frowned, as he mused, "You really believe those inexperienced street rats could be a problem? What a dilemma..."

DemiDevimon nodded, "She's got a point, Rai."

"...Very well, Elayne," Raito cleared his throat, "You can do what you wish with the Vaccine Crusaders. Hokuto, if you would, infiltrate the Data Crusaders. I will personally look into the Virus Hackers myself."

He then turned back to Hokuto, "Do you still wish to train before we fulfill Elayne's... Mission of sorts?"

Hokuto listened to the red-haired woman as she mentioned some very important research on three new factions that had risen. The Vaccine Crusaders, who seemed to be completely after Justice. The Virus Hackers, who seemed to be after hacking other companies and their main focused seemed to be her cherished Organization. And the Data Collectors, who would eventually become a major threat if they were given the time to gain access to Firewall's important data. Anyhow, the informate Elayne had given them was actually quite valuable, as now they had to take down the other organizations.

Hokuto then turned to Raito as he told her that she could infiltrate the Data Crusaders. "I'll gladly to that, Mr. Raito. And no, I guess we can postpone our training until later...What should I find from the Data Crusaders? Shall I steal their information?"

Seeing that the weird Guilmon was blinded, SnowGoburimon took the opportunity and ran as fast as he could without looking back. After about five minutes just when he didn't have the energy to keep running, he found something he could use as a temporary hiding place: a shed some foolish human had forgotten to close. He ran inside the small wooding building and closed the door behind him. "I hope I really hope I lost that weird Guilmon. That trick probably won't work again." He thought while trying to make himself comfortable on the hard floor.

"Yea same to you." Danny replied while futilely trying to hide his bright red face. Falcomon meanwhile wasn't nearly as happy with the for him suffocating hug. "So what rings you here?" Eri asked. "Just delivering a Digi-Egg for research."

After chatting about nothing in particular the two Tamers accompanied by their Digimon went their respective ways. Danny and Falcomon quickly dropped off Mushroomon 's Egg at the research department before heading back home.

Eve, now walking with Nyu on her shoulder was strolling down to find some food. Sure, she was going for a walk for Nyu's sake, but she just wanted food personally. A milkshake with fries, it shoulded perfect. "Let's take a jog to the burger place!" she said to Nyu, starting to job before her own digimon could answer her.

About a minute later, she stopped in front of the burger place, panting ever so slightly. "That was fun." she whispered and stepped up to the window. She ordered one shake and a large fry in which she would share with Nyu, since she didn't each all that much.
