Viral gave Yumi a harsh staring at before directing his attention to June who decided to be defensive towards his words. It was never not fair for him to say such a thing when she was willing to stand up and say she was in the wrong for doing such a thing, making Viral scoff. “Hmph, yeah. It’s only been nearly two decades! Then she goes and wanders off…” It was always going to annoy him, knowing she could had stayed with them after the whole revival thing, but instead she had to go and play mother to a bunch of strangers. He was never going to be happy about her doing that and even after telling her off she was probably going to go ahead and do some more volunteer work when this was all over.

It was just getting too difficult to handle all of this at once. He was trying to be all thankful, but it was proving to be pretty impossible with everything that was happening. He wasn’t getting the feeling he thought he might get when they were discussing reviving them, he thought he would be thankful and be at peace but instead he was beyond frustrated and getting very angry with everyone involved. Everything was completely destroyed in his mind and he didn’t know how to put it all back together, only hoping the return of his creators would help but instead there was nothing. He was plenty independent and didn’t need them around all the time, but with how they were acting they just felt like some other people who happened to be wandering around this place and talking to them once in a while.

Then there was Takeshi who was wanting to challenge him, only making him want to beat him up even more. It was his bigheadedness that really stood out and all the bravados he so enjoyed rolling out that annoyed him the most. He didn’t much care, he was supposed to be training today too which got cut short when June thought he was stressing out too much. The only problem with all of that was he was already struggling to control his anger and Takeshi was just making it worse. Not wanting Takeshi to get away with being an arrogant prick he decided to accept his offer for a battle, hoping he could beat the living snot out of him if he had to just to prove his point. “Tch! You just said you’d probably win a second ago. Don’t try to sound like the righteous one here, like you’re giving me a chance…”

Feeling rather ticked off already he looked to where Takeshi pointed to, sighing before walking on after him. “You just want somewhere soft for your face to hit as I ram it into the ground”. While he wasn’t entirely confident in his fighting ability after Vegeta and Aito walked in circles around him, he was sure he could kick Takeshi in the face just enough to shut him up for a while. Looking back only briefly when they arrived he turned back to Takeshi, staring at him as he insisted on going first. Staring at him momentarily he sighed, watching as Takeshi moved into a stance as he swayed lightly. “I don’t care about you and whether it’s your ass I’m kicking”, he spoke before moving into a stance too, his arms loose and hanging but his knees bent, his shoulders slightly hunched, “I’ve just got a lot of anger built up inside, now I have an outlet for that rage”. Moving slowly at first he soon bolted at Takeshi, throwing a few wild punches before trying to kick Takeshi away.

Shu and T’charrl were just going along with it with Shu feeling even more unsure about his place in the group. He didn’t know if he should go back to the base after all that with June or something, seeing how Takeshi just wanted to fight Viral. T’charrl on the other hand didn’t really know June all that well and Yumi was probably not really wanting to talk to him that much. Sighing lightly when it ended with Takeshi and Viral wandering off he looked off to Yumi, staring at her as she spoke. He was confused by that statement immediately, keeping silent for a moment as he tried to figure out what it meant before inevitably frowning. “I don’t have anything to prove. I don’t understand what I did wrong”, he spoke, looking down as he fiddled with his claws, “I don’t understand. Shu and I didn’t want to fight…”

There had to be a reason for June leaving like she had, right? Maybe she was too nervous to face Viral and Vegeta right away, after all her kids weren't kids anymore, it was like meeting a whole new person. If she hadn't seen Viral for twenty years and was suddenly thrust into a situation where she had to talk to him she'd have been nervous too. Knowing arguing was only going to upset Viral further however Yumi kept her comments to herself, parting June with a reassuring smile and gentle pat of the shoulder. It wasn't her fault, and really when Aito was smothering Viral at this point it might even be best he was given a little space. Albeit that space was now being invaded by the enormous entity that was Takeshi's ego, eclipsing any hopes of being happy and instead showering him in annoyances. Why did boys feel the need to fight over everything? Shaking her head in disbelief Yumi followed the rest to a space more suitable for a brawl, finding they only traveled a few blocks to get to the end of the city again. Lots of back and forth today.

"I mean I probably will win, but you never know, you know? Could walk away with an upset here and kick my butt," Takeshi admitted with a smirk, shrugging his shoulders. He would like to win and finally be able to say he was stronger than Viral, now that the guy was a bit more himself. Sure maybe he wasn't all there upstairs still but his body was getting back into it, and it wasn't as if he was fighting his friend's mind now was he? Easing into a stance out on the grass he laughed when threatened, though it was more an excited laugh than a taunting one. "If you can get me then I'll let you bury me, but don't expect it to be easy. I'm not going to just roll over and let you win. And glad I'm your outlet, I just hope there's enough in there to make this exciting." Maybe this was why he enjoyed fighting with Viral so much, he was the only one who was so competitive as to give a real fight without being an enemy. No one else was willing to just let loose when they sparred, it was something the Beastman could uniquely provide him. Sobering up when Viral started his attack he tried bearing in mind what Krom had told him, retaining a level head as he began deflecting punch after punch. Successfully doing so Takeshi then crossed his arms over his chest when kicked, sliding back along the ground but staying upright. Retaliating immediately he kicked off and dashed back at Viral, throwing his own quick punches.

Best case scenario here would be both Viral and Takeshi were too tired to cause any more trouble and they could properly relax. History however told Yumi they were going to end up getting angry with each other, and then getting angry meant not getting along, with which meant there wasn't a snowball's chance in Hell of their group hanging out. That was the most likely outcome here, but she tried to keep optimistic and hope for some miracle too. Looking at T'charrl as he became guilty she quickly shook her head, holding up her hands with an apologetic smile. "No no, I didn't mean you exactly, or Shu. I just know a lot of boys who act like they do," Yumi explained hastily, "Always fighting or butting heads, trying to be the alpha male. You two are well behaved and nice, you're gentlemen. I guess they can be too, but they're usually too busy picking fights with their own shadows." She couldn't say she disliked either Viral or Takeshi for how they acted either, it just made being with them a little strenuous sometimes.

Viral was sure he could do some real damage to Takeshi if he went completely all out, but that was where the problem lay. He knew it would be a bad idea for him to go all out in case something went horribly wrong and his condition was still lingering. It was highly possible that he would end up getting raged at by Aito and Vegeta for being so careless if something went wrong this far into his treatment. He was just so sick of it though, having to take crap like this from everyone as they continued to accuse him and call him weak and not as good as everyone else. Absolutely everyone was calling him weak and thinking he was so delicate and brittle. He didn’t want to go through with such a thing again, it was just completely demeaning. He wasn’t going to take it anymore, he was going to show them he was perfectly capable of looking after himself.

Staring Takeshi down at first he merely grunted at his claims, finding them to be a complete waste of time to listen to. He was not making it easier on him by claiming he was better without even trying to fight him. He saw no reason to believe Takeshi could beat him before he even fought, even if he was still weakened. “I see no reason to let you take me for a fool and let you think I will just let you roll over!” That was about it for him, he was going in to cause some real damage. Going in with a fair few fists being thrown he was angered that they were blocked, even his kick was blocked. This was just leading to flashbacks of Aito and Vegeta messing around with him, acting like his attacks were nothing. Growling angrily as he watched Takeshi he watched as he came right back, throwing his own punches. Using his arms to block Takeshi at first he soon glared at Takeshi, moving his arms before he started throwing punches at his attacking fists. “Don’t you dare think that will work with me!!” he growled, trying to meet Takeshi’s forceful punches while trying to throw in extra strength in his own, “I am stronger than you!”

T’charrl didn’t understand what he had did wrong, how he was being labelled along with Shu like this. Feeling a little confused he looked up at Yumi again when she tried to explain herself, frowning at her words before sighing. “Oh, I see. I don’t know what the alpha male is, though”, he spoke, staring down at the ground, “Maybe they just don’t like each other? I haven’t seen your friend Viral show any signs of being a friend of Takeshi’s and umm…the other way around too. I’ve not seen them act nice to each other except when that attack happened in the forest back home”.

“Mister Viral not been same since Saiyans took him, but he was not very happy even when we first met him”, Shu spoke up, scratching his chest quickly, “He sometimes laugh and smiled, but it always sound, umm…evil. He only really do that when he was beating people up and wrecking things”. He didn’t really know why that was but there was probably something else Viral found amusing sometimes, they just hadn’t seen it yet. “Maybe Takeshi want to make him happy? But Takeshi make Mister Viral angry too so I don’t know how that work. That all seem strange to Shu!”

For some reason the angrier Viral became the more excited Takeshi got about their brawl. He knew how the guy was, he'd bring his best if he was fired up and wanting to really do some damage. Good, he wasn't wanting anything less than Viral's best right now. After blocking a chain of blows he answered back with some of his own, neither himself or the Beastman landing any hits. Despite that fact he didn't become frustrated or angry, instead he only grew more eager; Viral was strong enough to handle him, that in of itself was reason to be happy. Soon punches were being met with punches, the collision resulting in small concussive blasts that echoed and caused the air to burst around the center of impact. "Prove it! I want to see how strong you are!" Takeshi exclaimed, slamming his fist into Viral's but failing to break through. He however ended up on the receiving end of one punch when he missed the Beastman's fist, reeling back as he was punched in the face and nearly falling over. Grinning he quickly regained his footing and dashed back in, having to block punches again as they got back into it. "See?! And you call yourself weak! You nearly took me off my feet in one hit!" Blocking a punch with his arm he quickly lowered it and tried grabbing hold of Viral's to stop him, throwing his own punch at his jaw and releasing his arm if it hit.

Those two were certainly getting into it, they always did. Did they get off on fighting each other or something? Watching with an exasperated expression Yumi voiced her disbelief at their constant butting heads, serving only to confuse T'charrl by her wording it seemed. "Alpha male... Top of the group, the best in a crowd. And I don't know about that, I mean they've always fought but it kind of reminds me of siblings, not enemies. It's like they have something they both want to prove almost." That was her perception of it, she knew she could be completely wrong. More than anything it looked like they were attempting to set up some kind of pecking order again, like Takeshi wanted to see who was top dog now that Viral was beginning to feel better; considering Aito and Vegeta were both plenty strong, not to mention Shu wasn't a pushover either, she wondered why they felt it came down to just them then. Glancing over at Shu at his comment Yumi smiled and gave a nod, remembering plenty well how her friend had been then. True he was never exactly the most positive person even back then, but at least he'd enjoyed things. "Takeshi... Make him happy?" she repeated, frowning and watching as the two continued to go at it, "If this is making someone happy then he has a weird way of doing it."

Viral was not having the same level of excitement Takeshi was having over this, finding it to be most annoying that he was even asking him to take part in this. There had been no questions before or seeing him earlier other than to see if he was getting better and this was just the reason for it. All Takeshi wanted to do was fight him and while it did manage to anger him greatly. He was hardly worth anything else to Takeshi and that was what really made him annoyed, knowing he was just going to be some personal trainer to Takeshi. If that was all that Takeshi thought then he was going to show just how stupid it was to think of him that way, throwing all he can into his attacks at this stage. Managing to strike Takeshi across the face he glared at him, seeing nothing to feel proud of. “Next time I’ll take off your head!” As Takeshi came back in for the offensive he immediately went back into trying to punch him down again, throwing his punches quickly but as a result was grabbed, his eyes only quickly going to his arm as he tried to pull it back before he was punched in the jaw. Stumbling back briefly he growled before going straight back into it with a series of kicks, going in low before throwing a punch.

T’charrl still didn’t really understand, giving her a good long staring at before looking down to the ground again, trying to get his head around it. He didn’t think there was anything wrong in them fighting together, seeing how they probably got something out of it other than a kick. “Something to prove? Oh, I see. I don’t how what their problems are, but so long as it doesn’t get too violent, right…?” He didn’t know what could happen if they were busy fighting each other like this but he hoped nothing bad would happen like some really bad violent turnout and one of them getting seriously hurt. He didn’t have the energy to be healing people and he would just be guilt ridden if he had to take someone else’s energy to do it like the last time. He didn’t know how to do it without changing and to change while trying to help them would be embarrassing.

Shu didn’t know how to explain Takeshi’s feelings towards fighting Viral, it was hard enough trying to explain what he meant half the time. He really didn’t have a fantastic grip on language skills, even though he knew many words, just not how to use them properly. “Umm well, Mister Viral not fight for long time, so…maybe Takeshi want to make him feel happy by fighting?” he spoke, moving onto scratch his head, “Mister Viral always say he was made for fight, so Takeshi want to fight so he feels good about fighting? Mister Viral been ill for so long he no really fight without going crazy like Shu does”.

So Viral definitely had his strength back, no question about that! Though it smarted like hell it only served to make Takeshi even more eager to spar, wanting to see what the Beastman was capable of now. "Right, you won't get another shot like that in. Feel free to try though!" he retorted, dashing off and retaliating with his own punches. After the exchange he managed to grab hold of one of Viral's arms, using the chance to catch the guy across the jaw and let him go, readying himself for the incoming counter. Not quite expecting punches the Saiyan lifted his own leg to either kick back or use his knee to block a strike, wincing each time he was hit. Practically having a dead leg when Viral finished too he narrowly avoided the last kick by leaning back, getting caught out then by a low punch that buried itself in his stomach. Groaning as he coughed up spit from the blow he leaned over, gritting his teeth before folding his hands together and bringing them down, trying to knock Viral to the ground in retaliation.

"Yeah, so long as it doesn't get too violent... Though knowing these two..." No, she should really try and be a little more optimistic that they wouldn't get carried away. She was always expecting the worst when they butted heads, though rarely did it ever escalate to that point. Viral was getting better and Takeshi wasn't running his mouth yet, maybe they could actually have a respectful fight without anything going wrong. Noticing how T'charrl was feeling nervous Yumi smiled at him reassuringly, placing a hand on his shoulder and looking back at the two fighting. "Relax, I'm here if things get out of hand. I can stop them if we need it." She hoped so, it was probably a safe assumption that in terms of raw strength she was behind the two boys at this point. What she lacked in that however she made up for in technique, she could restrain one of them worst case scenario should it come to that.

Explaining how Takeshi and Viral acted towards each other wasn't an easy thing and Yumi couldn't offer T'charrl a good explanation. Shu gave it a shot though, nearly hitting the nail on the head with how he described it. "That sounds about right. Might as well stick to what you're good at, right?" If Takeshi knew anything it was how to pick a fight, no one who knew him would argue that. And if Viral was so stuck on being nothing but a fighter then giving him a brawl was probably the best thing for him, strange as it may sound. She didn't know how the fight might end or what would end up making Viral happy, but she supposed their friend preferred this over being kept in a room all day being told he was sick. Heck, anyone would.

Viral wasn’t planning on making any sort of exception to Takeshi if only not deciding to use his claws as well. If he ended up doing that he would be in all sorts of trouble whether Takeshi was able to block them or not. Takeshi would probably tell Aito or Vegeta everything, he would probably gloat to everyone about it too. All he wanted to do was show he could manage, but it was already starting to look a little discouraging. Even when he was putting in a whole load of power into his attacks he was starting to feel like he couldn’t manage already, even as he winded Takeshi with a sneak attack. Glaring at Takeshi now that he had managed to get close again he raised his fist to drive it into Takeshi, but as he was quickly becoming unfocused he failed to notice Takeshi lifting his hands, his eyes going up to them momentarily before he was viciously clubbed in the head. He went straight down face first, becoming dazed by the impact. Groaning he tried to push himself up, staring at the ground before he climbed back up to his feet with raised fists, readying himself to go again.

T’charrl didn’t really know how he was supposed to deal with a situation like this where everything seemed so tense, especially when he was supposed to be the one that had to remain calm. He didn’t want people to be tense over something like this when it was essentially just them having a fight together to test their strengths. He didn’t want them to hurt each other too much, but it was inevitable considering they were wanting to fight each other so badly. Expressing his inability to help them if things turned back he looked up to Yumi when she touched his shoulder, frowning a little. “Are you certain? I guess they do listen to you more than they would listen to me”, he spoke, shaking his head, “I guess unless I change, then they’ll have to listen to me”.

Shu was trying to explain what he was saying and luckily Yumi knew what he was meaning, giving a smile that she did. He didn’t want to be wrong in case he got Takeshi and Viral in trouble, knowing he could make them sound like they were both horrible people. “Ooh! Yes! I don’t know what Mister Viral likes to do other than fighting so that is hard to think of”. He hadn’t really seen Viral do anything else, but he did remember Viral enjoyed hunting for them when he was leading them to the Dragonball locations. He didn’t see Viral as someone who has a lot of hobbies, but probably because he wasn’t able to explore many hobbies that he might like; then again, it wasn’t as if Shu was any better at that. “Ooh, not even sure what Shu likes to do other than fruit, play and fight. I don’t know many things people like to do! Only really know how to live”.

Takeshi wasn't going to go down in one or two hits, not matter how hard Viral was swinging. He had as much to prove to himself here as he did the Beastman; he wanted so badly to be able to beat Viral, to say that now he didn't need to be saved like before. Back on Earth he'd needed Viral to help him a few times, and for someone with an awful lot of pride that was inexcusable. Perhaps more than that now though he was wanting to see his friend strong again, finding it painful to know a guy, once so powerful, had been sick and weak. After taking a blow to the gut he answered with an overhead swing that knocked Viral to the ground, refraining from hitting him while down as he backed off. "Heh... Sorry for knocking you in the head, but you left it wide open," Takeshi said with a smirk, finding that breathing was a bit painful from being struck. Going right back in to keep things rolling he pushed off again with his right foot, cocking back his right arm and putting power behind the first punch, after which he threw a left hook and finally a spinning kick with his right, just trying to keep Viral on the defensive and unable to attack. If he kept getting hit he'd end up losing pretty quickly.

"It's not that they won't listen to you, I'm sure they would if you tried," Yumi reassured, watching as the pair broke it off briefly before Takeshi went back to it. So far it was surprisingly civil, and the lack of banter back and forth was unusual for them. "I probably can't stop them unless I physically get between them, and even then I don't know if I'd be able to. Worst case scenario we both might have to step in, but they seem to be okay so far." How long that might last was anyone's guess, and the fact they were doing well so far didn't help everyone relax. June was stiff as a board as she watched the fight unfold, probably worried sick that Viral would end up hurt somehow from it. With Shu helping to shed some light on the match though it put things in perspective for everyone, and maybe made it a little less intimidating for June. "When we're done here you could always try some new things, I'm sure your brother wouldn't mind," Yumi replied, smiling at Shu before turning her gaze back to the fight, "If you have the day free then that's lots of time to try out new things, right?"

Viral was dazed and unable to think straight for just the moment it took for him to get back up to his feet, not feeling ready to go in with another attack that might end up being completely whiffed and causing him to only look like a fool. That was a dirty move Takeshi pulled off, it could had easily set something off and yet he still took the risk. Managing to find his feet again he raised his fists, giving Takeshi a glaring at when he spoke like he might as well had been Vegeta. Watching as Takeshi came right back in again he growled before he moved one way to avoid the punch before raising his arm to block the kick. “I am not careless!!” he suddenly shouted, throwing himself forward no matter the circumstances as he was very quickly throwing his fists at Takeshi in some sort of furious rage with very little care taken.

T’charrl didn’t really know what he could do other than jump on them if things got bad, seeing how he was only really good at being violent. Telling them to stop would probably annoy them more than anything. He did have a fairly soft voice that was probably more annoying than anything, seeing how annoyed the other guy was at his voice. So far it seemed to be going okay, but Viral was getting awfully angry at Takeshi. “Are you sure it’s all okay? Viral seems awfully mad. I’m sure you can feel that too, right?” He didn’t know if he was supposed to say something to help ease the tension coming from June either, feeling how much she was worried as she remained pretty still. All this negative emotion was really getting to him, but even if he said something it wouldn’t ease their emotions.

Shu didn’t really know how much free time he had, seeing how he was very quickly becoming busy as everyone decided they wanted to see him for various things. There was Aito who might’ve forgotten about it and then there was Krom who wanted to train him and try to get his other form under control. He didn’t know how he was supposed to do so much and still feel okay about everything that was happening to him, seeing how a lot of it relied on his emotions. “Ooh! Yes maybe? I mean, I have many plans! Everybody wants to see Shu! Wants to see for all the…things little me has been doing and such…”

Takeshi wasn't going to take advantage of Viral being down, but he wasn't going to give the guy much chance to recoup either. This was a match to see how strong each of them were, not your typical, laid back sparring session. And sure neither were exactly going all out, but they probably wouldn't fight like this with the others. Throwing two punches and missing he then tried with a kick, frowning when that was blocked as well. "Alright, alright, relax Viral! I was joking, you know?" Telling the Beastman to relax was like telling Shu not to love fruit, it wasn't really going to do much. Stepping backwards to avoid the incoming fists he had to weave back and forth as well, ending up in an awkward stumble as he tried to avoid being hit. Catching one punch to the gut he then took another to the head, stumbling to the side before getting swatted away and falling to the ground. Holy crap those three punches hurt, it felt like he'd just been struck by a vehicle or something. "Jeez... Heh... that fricken smarts..." Takeshi laughed, stopping quickly and wincing as he rubbed at his jaw. "The hell they been feeding you?"

"It's fine... Just wait, don't get involved too quickly," Yumi cautioned, though she was beginning to feel somewhat worried as well. If Viral became too angry he might really hurt someone, they couldn't let him get to that point. When was it too much though? And as things escalated she could feel June beside them becoming more and more concerned, to the point where her anxiousness practically poured off like steam. Hoping to help a little but she focused solely on the woman for a moment and settled herself down with a deep breath, urging June to do the same. While her hands dropped from her chest and her face relaxed somewhat she was still tense, but it was certainly better than it had been. Breathing a bit easier now Yumi turned her attention back to Shu, a bit amused by the fact hey were holding a conversation in the middle of all of this. "Whenever you have free time then we can play, how's that? I can show you all sorts of things we used to do as kids, maybe there will be something you like?"

Whatever Yumi and Shu were discussing were of little importance to June, she was much too focused on the fight. Going between fearing for Viral's safety and worrying what he might do was leaving her awfully high strung, even as she inexplicably relaxed for a moment. Her unease reached a peak when Viral delivered a series of hard blows to Takeshi, audible and strong enough to put him in the dirt. Gasping she took a few steps towards the pair, wanting to call off the fight and stop anyone from getting hurt. The Saiyan held up a hand for her to wait though and she kept silent, though she remained where she was, closer to the fight.

"Wow... I gotta say Viral, didn't expect you to hit that hard..." Takeshi began, smiling as he pushed himself up to his feet. Wiping some dirt from his face he gave his side a rubbing, nursing at what could be bruised ribs as he tried to collect himself from being pummeled. "You're definitely better, no question about it. Hell, you've gotta be right where you were when we first met at least, and you're still holding back aren't you?" Crazy, what would a fight between them be like if they went all out? He had some strength in reserve too but now he was skeptical if he could keep up with the guy. And with his body aching already he wasn't terribly sure he wanted to try that anyways. After standing there for a moment he smiled and held both hands up, a sign of resignation before he grinned. "I'm done, it's my day off and I don't want to get my ass kicked. Besides I got more than I bargained for there, you'd beat me to a pulp if we keep going," he added, laughing before stepping forward and extending a fist towards Viral, "You win, I'm fine with stopping here. I want to try this again some other time though, I'll do better next round."

Viral had about enough of Takeshi with that remark and even as he tried to take it back it was way too late. He had managed to take a swipe at his feelings and managed to hit the worst spot possible. It was bad enough that both Aito and Vegeta did it, but now that Takeshi recognised it he managed to completely tick him off. Throwing in a lot into his next few hits he completely disregard anything that Takeshi might dish out while he was going in, managing to give Takeshi a fair good pounding at before he went down. Staring at him he kept his fist clenched, growling lowly as Takeshi only managed to complain and sound obnoxious. Typical of him, it wasn’t as if he had been fighting for that long and already he was complaining. “You talk too much…”

Viral wasn’t pleased with how long Takeshi was staying on the ground for, staring at him as if expecting he was simply going to stay on the ground for the rest of the fight. He wasn’t finished with him yet, they only had a few rounds and it was hardly anything at this point. Watching Takeshi as he got back up to his feet he glared at him as if expecting him to start fighting back the moment he stopped talking. He was hardly in the right position to be saying he was the one who was holding back, it was Takeshi who could use Ki and Viral knew well enough that everyone who would fight against him for real would use Ki to gain an advantage, even if he didn’t have any himself. Raising his fists momentarily he twitched when Takeshi decided to call quits already, finding it down right insulting that he would ever do such a thing. It was as if he thought he couldn’t handle anymore, as if that was all he had in him. Staring at him he looked down at Takeshi’s fist, looking back to Takeshi before giving him an angry glare. “You get hit a few times and immediately call it quits??” he glared at him, making a grab at Takeshi’s fist to toss him over shoulder, “Do you know how long I’ve waited and you’re already blowing me off!!”

Takeshi had only been struck a few times and already he ached like he'd been training all day. He'd expected Viral to be stronger now that he was getting better but this was a bit ridiculous! Goes to show he ought not be relaxing and letting his guard down, otherwise he'd be black and blue by the time this was over. Taking a moment to gather himself he finally got back to his feet, trying to call off the match and move on; this was everyone's day off, he had no desire to spend their day off limping about and needing bags of ice for his injuries. Figuring maybe Viral would respect that wish he deflated slightly when denied, trying to keep his fist out as a show of camaraderie. "You proved you got your strength back, let's go do something else, huh? Maybe we can do this again later, what do you say?"

Jeez, a simple no would have sufficed! Takeshi hadn't been expecting anything from Viral other than maybe a grumpy dismissal, that would be normal for the guy. When his arm was grabbed all he did was flail comically and end up being flipped helplessly, landing on his back with a thud and coughing. "Ouch! I'm not blowing you off, I didn't want to spend today all beat up!" he shot back, sitting up and rubbing at his back before climbing to his feet, "But fine, if you're so determined to fight then we'll fight. I guess it's nothing a hot bath won't fix." He couldn't say he hated the idea of fighting with Viral more, and the fact that his friend was able to really deal some damage made this interesting. Grinning as he lowered himself into a stance once more Takeshi slowly began shifting his feet, circling the Beastman as he tried to decide how to approach this. Figuring to hell with it he ran right at him, throwing a right jab and then following with a left uppercut, and if both of those missed he'd bring up his right leg and kick out at Viral's stomach.

Viral was pretty furious that Takeshi wasn’t letting him fight some more, knowing what they did was practically just a few punches and a few kicks rather than an actual session. It was as if Takeshi had only evaluated his strength after one punch. If this was how everyone treated him then they were all going to see his fury. He was not a stupid little kid who could be made all giddy and proud over managing to get a few punches in. Throwing Takeshi over he ended with a slam, releasing him and narrowing his eyes at his complaining. “It’s nothing to do with your little nuisances! You think I waited this long only to throw a few punches and be done with it??” he growled as he turned around to face him, raising his fists, “If you didn’t want to do this, then you should never had asked for this!”

Takeshi was the one who wanted to fight him so whether he liked it or not he was getting a fight. To bail out so early was an insult to him, as if it wasn’t hard enough to find a serious training session where he wasn’t going to be made a fool of. Waiting for Takeshi to come at him again he glared at him as he was circled before throwing his paws around once Takeshi bolted at him, managing to smack Takeshi’s right punch before going for his left, seeing his leg come up only to retaliate with his own kick upwards. “I few swings have proved nothing! Since when has that ever counted towards true strength? Since when does that ever matter??” Deciding on an attack of his own he immediately started swinging his arms around wildly as he only grew angry. “It is always the same with you! You are always so selfish! All you care about is your own strength! If you can be matched, you quit immediately!”

"Of course I want to fight! I don't want to spend my day off icing my bruises though!" Takeshi shot back before getting to his feet, rubbing at one of his shoulders before frowning, "If you really want to keep going then I'll do it." It's not like he was trying to outdo his friend here, it was supposed to just be to see how strong he was now. If his body aching already wasn't indication enough then getting knocked to the ground twice already should be a pretty telltale sign. Hesitating as he tried to decide how to go at Viral again he circled around a bit, finally deciding to hell with it and just going in with a simple combo. Getting each punch blocked or dodged and his kick intercepted he scowled, backing off again before smirking. "Hey, you end a fight in a few swings and I think that means a bunch! A guy who can end a fight in three punches is really strong, don't you think?" he asked, lowering his guard and shrugging his shoulders, "Might just be me, but I think that makes someone strong, you know?"

He really ought to know better by now than to try and strike up conversation with the guy, all it ever did was piss him off. Lifting his arms as the onslaught began again he focused solely on blocking Viral's hits, each blow landing causing a bit of a concussive force that erupted in the air around them. "That's not true! I want to see how strong you are too!" he answered as he ducked under a bunch, scrambling to the side to avoid being hit, "I wanted to see if you're better, I figured fighting was the best way to do it!" He was concerned with how powerful Viral might be now, and through that he could probably guess how he was overall. Sure, physical power had little to do with how happy someone was, but for a guy who was always down on feeling weak it should be at least something. Backpedaling as Viral continued after him, getting caught out in the process and getting punched in the nose. Wincing he stepped back and covered it up with both hands, tears in the corners of his eyes before he pointed at Viral accusingly. "Ow, that hurt! You trying to break me or something?"

Viral was having none of Takeshi’s nonsense, he had already enough of it by the time he started talking to him. All that Takeshi wanted to do was fight and he had probably been waiting a long time to fight him. Now that he had the chance it seemed Takeshi was less than willing to go through with it all and was simply happy that he had managed to test his own strength for a few punches, not thinking about how it might affect him in return. “So you don’t care about anything else other than that?? You take a few punches and then you decide that’s enough??” Of course Takeshi wasn’t willing to put anymore into it if he had already lost, he hated putting effort into something for the other person. If he did put in as much effort into others as he did his training then his brother would probably be better by now.

Takeshi didn’t care about true strength, he never did. He only cared about physical strength and that much was pretty evident just now. There was little he cared about and what was happening just now was definitely one of those moments where he only cared about himself. So what if he was a little sore, that wasn’t going to stop him from continuing their fight when he was the one who asked for it. “That’s right, you don’t care about anything else concerning me!” he growled as he continued to take swings at Takeshi, following after him as he tried to avoid the punches, “You would only be happy so long as I could punch you!” It had been the same with mostly everyone. Everything that was going on in his and Shu’s head had all been left behind just to get them battle ready, a whole load of empty promises left by those who only wanted to get him fighting again. Finally managing to hit Takeshi he stopped and stared at him as he staggered, keeping his fists ready. “You wanted to test my strength and now you’re moaning when you do face it”, he spoke before going straight in again, readying another combo of punches and kicks, “Would you take it easy on me if I was the enemy?? Fight me like I am one!”

"O-Of course I care! I care about every one of our friends!" Takeshi said defensively, ducking hastily under a punch and pushing another incoming fist away, "Hell, I've done nothing but worry about how you're doing! I've worried about Shu, about T'charrl, about everyone!" He just didn't know how to show it was all. More than that he didn't know how he could help, something that only fed the worry he was already experiencing. Not being able to help his friends was one thing, not being able to make a difference for Shu was twice as bad. It wasn't fair for Viral to say that, he wasn't completely heartless. Stopping a punch with one of his own he gritted his teeth, growing slightly frustrated at how the Beastman wasn't listening to him. He was glad the guy was doing better, why couldn't he just see that?

Focusing on fighting and chatting was proving to be difficult now that he was trying to be mindful of how he fought. Moving around and dodging incoming blows as best he could he tried to find an opening for himself, the strikes coming in too quickly to allow for one. "That's not true at all! I care about way more than that!" Viral complained about being powerless right? Not being able to do anything and feeling like he wasn't up to par? Well he wasn't the only one, that's how he felt every time he saw someone who wasn't well. Having this many friends, or any for that matter was a wholly new experience for him, he wanted nothing more than to be able be useful to them. All he knew was fighting though, if he couldn't be useful through that then what more could he do?

Taking a shot right to the nose Takeshi backed off and covered his face, tears welling up in his eyes on reflex as he rubbed at it gingerly. "I'm moaning because you socked me right in the nose! That hurts you know!" Again Viral didn't miss a beat and came right in with more attacks, this time he tried to retaliate with some of his own. Getting one shot through on Viral's chest he got one in return on the stomach, and then one on Viral's side for one in his shoulder, nearly spinning him around from the force of it. Finding himself losing ground he threw his arms up to guard only to find it pointless as a strong punch broke through, and a final one caught him in the jaw and sent him onto his back in the dirt. Coughing in protest Takeshi lifted up his head and spit out the blood leaking from his split lip, looking at Viral exasperatedly. "You're not the enemy though! I've never thought of you as the enemy, not since we first met!" Takeshi shouted, pushing himself back up to his feet, "You're my friend dammit, I'm not going to treat you like an enemy, that's impossible!"

“Worried wondering if I will ever be worthy enough to fight you?? Your type of worrying is hoping only that they will ever be battle-ready!” Viral shouted as he swung out at Takeshi, not missing a beat in his steps, “When was the last time you didn’t mention training or fighting to someone when asking about their condition??” He wasn’t going to give Takeshi a chance to give any sort of rebuttal when all of them were going to be the same anyway. He would just give an excuse like he forgot to. Takeshi was only making excuses at this point and it was irritating him greatly, making him wonder why he was even trying to let out his frustrations to Takeshi when they will all probably fall on deaf ears. Takeshi was never the one to care for anything other than himself.

Stopping briefly he waited for Takeshi to stop moaning before throwing himself forward once more, throwing in multiple attacks once more. He stopped not for the attacks that managed to get through his own offence, taking the hits straight up with hardly a flinch before throwing his own to knock Takeshi to the ground. His frustration was getting the better of him very quickly and watching Takeshi fall to the ground like that had Viral moving towards him, holding his fist as if he was ready to immediately strike the moment he got up. Angry that Takeshi wasn’t treating him in the fashion he should had been from the very start he glared at him as Takeshi tried to speak for himself. Pausing for a moment as Takeshi stood up he stared at him with increased doubt, his fist lowering slightly. “Impossible? When have you counted me as a friend if only to get yourself out of an argument? Is calling me a 'friend' supposed to mean something?” he questioned him before lowering his fist, “What does it mean to you, anyway??”

"I'm not like that! I worry about people, you know? Stop making me out to be a bad guy!" He wasn't really like that was he? Sure he was eager to train and fight with people but that was far from the only thing he cared about. Heck, here he was letting Viral wail on him to get out frustration, wasn't that considerate? Maybe letting him wasn't the right way of putting this, he wasn't actually trying to get his ass handed to him. Being knocked into the dirt once more he was slower to get up this time, making yet another attempt to defend himself and where he stood in terms of their friendship. Expecting to be smacked for even trying it he tensed up expecting a punch, watching in surprise as Viral actually lowered his fists.

"I've always counted you as a friend, pretty quickly after we met I started considering you one," Takeshi answered, frowning as he rubbed at his neck awkwardly. Jeez, he was going to have to spill it all here just to convince the guy wasn't he? Getting red in the face he folded his arms over his chest, letting out a sigh before facing Viral, looking him right in the eye. "I'm not the best with words, okay? So before you go and skewer me for saying something stupid, keep that in mind. As for what it means..." Trailing off again he bit his lip, his brow pulling together in a furrow as he looked down at his feet. "What it means... Is that you're someone I know I can rely on. And not just for fights, if I need help with something I'm sure I could come to you for help. I'd do the same too, I just don't always know what to do, and I don't want to make things worse trying, you know?"

This really wasn't the easiest thing in the world, he felt awkward opening up and telling Viral why he felt the way he did. Gods it wasn't like this was a fricken love confession or anything, he was just telling the guy he considered him a friend. Puffing up slightly he exhaled before pointing at the Beastman, his face a bright red in embarrassment before he went on a tirade. "Ever since we met you've been stronger and I've wanted to reach your level, that's why I always fight with you! You're someone I look up to and inspire to be like, and I envy you! Aside from just that you had people who cared about you even when we met, even if it didn't seem like it. All I had was Shu, and even then we weren't that close. But you had Vegeta and Yumi, and I don't know, maybe I was jealous, maybe I wanted that for myself..." He was rambling now, the words coming out by themselves with very little thought on his part. If he hadn't made a complete fool of himself yet he was probably about to.

"A friend is someone who is there when you need them! You've saved me at least twice, and I never thanked you for that. Then you got captured and sick and it was my fault and I haven't been able to do anything to help! I've just wanted to see you get strong again, not because it means I can fight you, but because you were happier when you were strong. I don't like seeing people all depressed and down on themselves, you know? It sucks! I want my friends to be healthy and to be able to do what they want, that's all. And... And..." Takeshi continued, rubbing at his head fitfully before kicking the dirt, "I've been so pissed at myself for not being able to say anything to you, or talk to you. I always seem to piss you off and I don't mean to, I really don't. I want to get along with you and I want to be able to do things with you, with everyone. We all just want you to be healthier and happier Viral, honest. And... I'm sorry if it seems like I didn't want that for you, I do."

As Takeshi went on his spree Yumi listened to every word, mouth agape as he opened up some. It was far from a perfect admittance or probably not even what Viral wanted to hear exactly, but it was a big change in the way they usually spoke to one another. This was extremely different for the two of them, where Viral actually seemed to be giving Takeshi a chance and the Saiyan wasn't completely blowing that up in his own face. Maybe they would actually get something out this, one could dare to hope.

Viral was willing to listen to Takeshi without attacking him if only to see if he would ever be able to make up for it, like whether he was ever going to be able to put up a good defence and if not he would just go ahead and start beating him into the ground once more. Takeshi had a knack for being selfish and if he was going to be selfish with this then Viral had no reason to listen. To be constantly thought of as the one who was only good at fighting was pretty infuriating, like that was all he was good at. He saw no reason to give him a crap about Takeshi until he explained himself, telling him why he thought of him as a friend if all he wanted to do was fight him. He had become sick of it, sick of always being seen as something to have a fight with and only good for such a task.

Staring down at Takeshi he continued to glare at him, narrowing his eyes as everything just sounded like he was trying to avoid confrontation so far. It was sounding typical at this point, like he was trying to make excuses for his actions. Staring at him he narrowed his eyes briefly before looking confused, not exactly understanding what Takeshi was getting at. It wasn’t that he often gave Takeshi help, probably because he had been mainly shut off with Takeshi not really talking to him anyway. Already starting to get mad again at Takeshi’s excuses he was about to cut off this pointless babble until Takeshi decided to point at him, confusing him rather quickly.

As Takeshi decided it was time to spill his guts out Viral couldn’t help but stare in mild confusion. So he admired him in a sense, but that didn’t explain why he never bothered talking to him or showing much care other than for his fighting health. Huffing a little bit he slowly folded his arms, staring at him as he continued before eventually frowning, looking away. Seemed this was the long apology that Takeshi had been holding back on for a long time now. Feeling a little frustrated that he had waited so long he soon growled and looked back. “So asking only if I was well enough to fight or train was your way of expressing it? And you wonder why you anger me”, he grunted, shaking his head and turning slightly, “It’s comments like that which make me wonder if there’s anything more to me than fighting. I’m sure you know what it’s like to think your purpose in life is for battle and nothing more; however, you’ve never needed to worry about feeling obsolete. I may be able to beat you in a fist fight, but if you cared to unleash your full power I would stand no chance. Your incessant behaviour constantly nails in how I will always earn the participation award and never be the winner”.

Going out and telling it like it was, how he really felt, it just wasn't something Takeshi did. Bottle it up and keep it inside, that's how boys were supposed to be, right? If Viral was a guy then they'd get along by just fighting it out and letting off some steam, that was the way he'd always thought of it before. By fighting they'd get a mutual respect, and then they could be friends. What a completely idiotic way of looking at it. Now he was realizing in doing that he'd turned the Beastman into little more than a training dummy and nothing else, no wonder they were never on good terms. It was completely his fault too, he needed to try and say something to make it up to his friend. Only question was what the hell did you say to make up over a year of getting it wrong and pissing someone off?

"I did say I'm an idiot with words, to be fair..." Takeshi muttered halfheartedly, a sheepish smile on his face as he made his point, "You act surprised I screwed up, I've been doing that since we met." Opening up aside it wasn't normally like him to admit he was totally wrong either, being used to either being correct or simply ignoring something he couldn't make right. That worked well, looked how Shu was getting on because of that idiotic mindset. Nodding somberly at Viral's comment on fighting he glanced over at the others, having had the very same thought himself once or twice. If he couldn't fight then what would he do? He wasn't smart like Vegeta, he wasn't good at helping others like Vegeta. He didn't have skills like the twins, or money like Kabocha, and he wasn't like Shu were everyone he met was happy to help him. Hell he was sure even Haku had more going for him, and that kid had nothing! Realizing he was self-loathing he let out a sigh and rubbed at his head, giving it a shake before looking back at Viral.

"You're wrong, because we've done that before and you've won. Back on Earth, the first time we met? I didn't hold back, and you would have definitely won then. When we saw you on Shaharia you would have beaten me too, and you'd beat me now if we fought. I have Ki, sure, but it's not enough to just beat you, it never was." Yet he always used it like a crutch in fights and saw little to nothing come from its use. Was it handy? Of course, being able to zip about and attack from afar was a massive advantage. But for someone like Viral who could just endure it and beat you up close it meant little. "Viral, look... If we were to keep sparring right now the way we were there's no way I could win, Ki or not. I can tell you that much right now and you still don't think you're healthy, right? Okay, so what happens when you do get healthy? You're already stronger than I am, probably stronger than most of us again, and you'll be even stronger still after you finish recovering. Pretty soon you'll be the one saving all of us. And... That's what I envy about you, that you can be so strong despite everything. It's why I think you're an awesome guy, you have a kind of... I don't know, a kind of strength the rest of us don't." MAN that sounded really fricken cheesy, and Takeshi's face was a bright red as he thought about it. Could they just get back to punching each other?
