Shu frowned at the inevitable explanation that he was powerless to help stop anything bad from happening, his eyes staring at June in quiet sorrow as she came down to his level. He wanted to be able to prevent disasters from happening to everyone he knew, he couldn’t go through something like that again. Squeaking, he shook his head quickly before letting out a sigh, ending the shake on a nod. “I guess so. My mother never told me anything because I didn’t know her”, he spoke as if stating a fact to himself, “I don’t mean to go to bad place and think of bad things happening. Oooh…maybe good thing will happen someday”. Shu didn’t know what was going to happen in the future but he was going to try and keep his mind off potentially harmful thoughts that may end up influencing the potential outcome. He was just scared of potentially awful things happening, like a lot that had occurred lately. After being taken by the Saiyans and everything on top of that he was made to believe if one thing went wrong then it would turn into a disaster for all of them. He didn’t mean to be a downer all the time, but he still couldn’t help but worry about the worst case scenario that was probably inevitable when they started to happen.

Viral was about done with the building until he would bring down the outer walls, seeing how everything in this building was near enough smashed to bits without causing structural collapse. He wasn’t going to give into tiredness at this point either, everything was going to have to get properly destroyed if he was to feel satisfied. Seeing how confident Takeshi was with his destructive ways he moved on to decimate the floor, smashing through it with little care for what space he might have left to move around. He could jump pretty well so he didn’t suffer from the problem of losing his footing, even if he didn’t have the ability to fly like Takeshi. Just about done with his side he looked up at Takeshi when he started moaning, grunting in annoyance at his stupidity. “Tch! Shouldn’t expect anything less from a naked ape! You would fall out of bed with it already on the ground!” Jumping up again he landed on the crumbling wall, managing to perfectly balance on it while still holding the hammer. “This is the end for this place! You should get out of the way before I flatten you too!”

Shu was definitely still nervous and didn’t really know what he was supposed to do regarding all of this, instead placing his focus on Yumi who tried to comfort him too and ease his worry over the loud noises. Squeaking lightly as he was pulled close he moved to hold onto her clothing, looking up to her as she lowered his hands near his head. “Maybe please, it makes the bad go away…”

T’charrl didn’t really know if he was bothered by it, namely because it was a pretty new noise to him. His race never really had to destroy buildings, even when they were fighting. The battles often took place in the forest so to have structures of stone having to be pounded in such a manner would require him to live in the city. The first time a building was destroyed near him was when he had infiltrated the General’s base. Staring at the building as it was slowly being torn down he twitched when he realised he was being talked to, looking to Yumi curiously before smiling. “Oh uhh, it’s not bothering me. It is loud and uhh, sudden, but I can withstand it. My head is already sore, anyway”.

Well if that didn't break June's heart then nothing would. Shu had never known his mother? She couldn't imagine anything worse, she'd have been completely lost if she'd never known her parents; yes her father was an evil man, but he'd still taught her things and how to live, or more often how not to live. Parents were meant to be around to help their children learn, sadly it seemed like Shu never had such a thing. "Good things will always happen, and if you think positive then they might even happen more," June reinforced with a smile, "Don't think of it as bad things are always going to happen. Life is never just good or just bad, you must know that right? Whatever happens is only as powerful as how we think of it, Aito told me that, and you've met him. He always used to say things are only as bad or as good as you make them. So... Try to forget bad things and look forward to the good that will come!" She certainly wasn't a therapist, she felt completely out of place saying all of this. It was rehashed from something Aito had told her years and years ago too, when they had first arrived in Otherworld in fact. Those words had comforted her enough to be content where they were, and she hoped she hadn't misconstrued them too much here.

June wasn't the only one feeling bad for Shu, Yumi wanted to help him relax too. What was going on was such a simple, innocent thing. Loud? Certainly, but there was no harm in it. Giving the young boy a sympathetic smile she pulled him in close, and after making sure it was okay used her hands to muffle the sounds, placing them over his ears gently. It wouldn't drown out the noise entirely but perhaps just enough to make it bearable, for however much longer it might be going on for. Takeshi and Viral may be enjoying themselves bringing down a building but it wasn't quite a group activity they could all get into, now was it? Worried as well that T'charrl might be having a hard time of it she asked if he was bothered, somewhat relieved that he wasn't. "Oh your head is sore? Why is that?" Yumi asked with concern, sounding almost maternal as she looked T'charrl over studiously, "Are they being too loud and they're giving you a headache? Or did you not get to eat enough earlier?" Maybe that was it, he'd been on such a lax diet and now he had been taken away from his meal. She was in part to blame for that of course, but so were the others. "As soon as those goofballs are finished breaking that building we'll find you some fruit!"

"Ow ow ow, dammit! I got a stupid splinter!" Takeshi whined as he held up his hand, meticulously trying to pluck the sliver of wood from his fingertip. How was something so damned tiny so fricken painful? "Oh like you've never fallen out of bed on accident, even once!" he shouted back defensively, more engrossed in his not-so-mortal wound than arguing with Viral. Finally managing to pinch his fingertip he yanked the splinter free, sighing with relief and flicking it away. Right, now where had he been? Glancing at the wall as it sat precariously, shattered by his strikes, he rubbed his knuckles and got ready to smash it down. When Viral then jumped on it and told him to clear out he opened his mouth to argue before shrugging, figuring he'd leave the rest to the Beastman at this point; the roof wasn't going to come down around Viral's head, he should be fine. "Have fun dude, don't make too much of a mess," Takeshi said as he turned, waving before running to the front of the building and jumping out, landing before Shu and Yumi. "Hey buddy! Sorry about that, Viral and I saw this building and-" Now there was another pain, this one in the form of Yumi smacking him so hard he spun around and fell on his rear. "OW! What the heck?"

"What do you think you're doing running off like that, huh? And you're scaring Shu with all that noise!" Yumi said testily, narrowing her eyes at Takeshi as he pointed down in his face, "You could at least tell us what you're doing before disappearing!"

"Jeez... Alright I getcha, sorry, my bad," Takeshi grumbled defensively as he nursed his cheek, getting back to his feet and dusting himself down. Looking at Shu he smiled apologetically and walked over, lowering himself and ruffling his brother's hair gently. "Sorry about that Shu, we just got distracted, that's all. You okay now?"

Shu didn’t understand many of the morals and lessons that were supposed to had been taught to him when he was a little kid, or at least he didn’t understand quite why he had missed out on them at a younger age to properly understand them. He was still raised by someone and even then he was only taught how to eat, where he should sleep, what to fight off and who to keep away from. Every other social cue came when he was growing up and just either learned or was told how he should be acting by the people who took him out of the jungle. June was the only mother he had come across that was a Human, even the couple that took him in didn’t have any kids. Listening to her he didn’t really understand what she meant about life, he always saw every outcome as only good or bad, there was no in-between. “Not think bad…to have good? But then bad happen because want good, I thought…” he spoke, trying to think about it before letting out a squeak at the noise before immediately pressing against Yumi, hoping she could block out the loud noises that was just reminding him of bad times.

T’charrl had other problems regarding the situation and what was happening, mainly due to his health. He was still struggling to recover and even though he was up and about he was still not close to being normal. He didn’t really know what would happen to him when he was better, whether he would be a stronger soul coming out of it or he would have to go straight back to his struggles again. Probably the stress of that would be making his head feel worse, but he would need to be away from everyone to properly assess that to see if it would go away. Staring at Shu as Yumi tried to shield him from the noise of the building he frowned a little when Yumi was trying to help his discomfort, eventually turning the frown into a nervous smile as he rubbed his head. “Maybe I just need to eat more. I guess the noise doesn’t help either”, he spoke, wondering if it was about time he sat down again just in case he was going to faint, “I-I’m not complaining, I’m happy to be out, but uhh…I did hit my head pretty hard on the other planet…”

Viral was already annoyed by Takeshi’s whining, even though it was only once he had done so so far. If Takeshi was going to moan over a flake of wood in his skin then he shouldn’t be punching a building down thinking he was a big man. It certainly annoyed him when Takeshi tried to act tough only to get all wimpy over the silliest thing. “Tch! Knowing you have doesn’t give me confidence in you”. With the lack of confidence in Takeshi he decided it was up to him to get his frustration fully out and direct it onto the building. If he truly was a destructive being then he was going to test how far he could do with just a hammer. Takeshi using his fists was not comparable, Saiyans were often wild anyway.

Watching as Takeshi decided to remove himself from the building he waited until he was gone before deciding the fate of the building, raising the hammer before dropping off out the building. Swinging the hammer around at first he soon burst forward, throwing his hammer at the building’s wall causing a shockwave across the building’s wall. Without wasting time he dashed around to the other side of the building, jumping up and doing the same repeatedly to the other walls. With no apparent physical damage done to the building despite the shockwaves Viral finished off by jumping up towards what was left of the quivering roof before simply swinging his hammer once in the air. The resulting forceful gust caused the building’s true damage to show as thousands of cracks rapidly covered the building before quickly and noisily crashing straight down. The internal damage to the building had been made to make the whole process easier and as the dust built up Viral simply landed on top of the rubble all while making barely a sound.

Shu didn’t understand why Takeshi was back without Viral, staring at him for a moment before squeaking as he was smacked by Yumi. If knowing Viral was by himself wasn’t startling enough then that smack sure was going to top it. Pulling back quickly away from the pair he looked between them both, frowning as Takeshi approached him with what appeared to be the start of an apology. With a ruffling of his hair he raised his shoulders, closing his eyes momentarily before looking up at his brother. “Thought it was bad! Sounded like a gun, then it was a building but Friend already hurt by building and now Mister Viral…” he spoke but gasped as there was even further banging, his hands going to his ears before he looked over to the building, barely seeing Viral as the building crumbled to the ground with him disappearing into a dust cloud, “Ah! M-Mister Viral??”

Yumi wasn't certain what she was trying to do here with Shu, what could be said or done to help ease his discomfort any more. They had told him that there was nothing bad happening here and that no one was being hurt, yet he was still a little panicked over it. Even covering his ears didn't wholly block out the noise and he was still tense; at this point she was hoping Viral and Takeshi would finish soon so their young friend could relax. "Maybe we'll take some time to actually relax once we finish here? You did just get out, we can take it easy for a little while, I'm sure no one will mind." He had taken perhaps the worst of the beatings on the other world, it was just expected that he would take the longest to recover. Glancing to the building as the destruction continued Yumi was surprised to see Takeshi leaving to join them, raising an eyebrow curiously as he landed and came over to greet Shu. So it was just Viral working then?

He'd only just gotten down and he was floored by Yumi, what the heck? Evidently it was for ditching Shu and running off with Viral, how was that fair? Rubbing at his cheek he collected himself and went to check on Shu, giving him an apologetic smile and ruffling his hair. "A gun huh...? You hear a lot of guns before?" he asked curiously, tilting his head for an answer. Expecting an answer he cringed when there was a loud crumbling sound, looking over his shoulder and watching wide eyed as the building began to come down. Turning away while dust was kicked up he blinked a few times as the noise settled, finally glancing back and trying to peer through the cloud of dust, missing as a plume hit the Uuonians that had ditched their job and getting covered in it. "I'm sure he's fine buddy, it was just a... Collapsing building," Takeshi muttered, still trying to see through the clouds.

Viral had managed to completely tear down the building in what was effectively the equivalent of taking a hammer to chalk, destroying most of its structure all while managing to remain unharmed. Despite being unharmed, Viral was covered in debris from the building as he stood on top, staring down at the rubble as the dust began to settle. It was this sort of thing that he was supposed to specialise in, the destruction of everything around him. In any other instance he would be called a monster for being able to cause such a massive amount of damage with little effort in such a short amount of time, but the people he knew would of course praise him for it. That was the reality of it all, that he was going to end up having to go down the destructive path no matter what.

Despite feeling worn down after that he didn’t quite know where to go now, only feeling the need to continue his destruction. Raising the hammer as the dust began to settle he lazily started throwing the hammer down at various piles, watching as the rubble shifted and crumbled under the most minor force. He wasn’t feeling angry anymore, he was just disappointed that his fate was obviously leading to the destructive path. Everything he knew had to do with destroying, he knew he had been made for the destruction of others so it only made sense. With his weariness settling in and his anger disappearing the constant swinging of his hammer became lazy, showing little effort and yet he was still managing to pummel the rocks into dust.

Shu didn’t understand much of what was going on, only that he knew Takeshi had taken Viral to a collapsing building. He didn’t want it to end up with one of them getting crushed like T’charrl and while Takeshi was out the fact that the building collapsed while Viral was still over there only made him even more worried. Squeaking lightly he covered his ears momentarily, frowning as he looked up at Takeshi. “Ooohhh…I-I’ve heard many guns before, many after me and my clan…” he mumbled, lowering his head and raising his shoulders, “B-But that’s not important! Is Mister Viral okay? He might hurt himself!”

"So some assholes shot at you and your clan, huh...?" Takeshi grumbled before frowning, looking back to the building at Shu's insistence. Now he remembered in part why he disliked humans so much, he'd been spoiled in meeting nice people for the longest time. He knew now though too that the nasty ones like that were far and few between, it wasn't right to completely condemn everyone for the actions of a few; the Saiyans in power were particular jerks yet their entire race wasn't awful, it was sort of the same with humanity, or any race for that matter. "Viral's fine, he's just dirty, and uh... I mean I think he's okay..." He was slowing down quite quickly, was he hurt? Or just tired? Maybe they should check on him, if he was done swinging that hammer around. No sense in getting their heads bashed in if he got overzealous.

"Viral! Viral are you okay?" Yumi shouted as she hurried over to the rubble, stepping over several stones and climbing up to meet him. Grabbing the hammer and throwing it aside she began to look over her friend meticulously, after a moment sighing in relief that there were no visible wounds on him. "Well you're dirty but there's nothing wrong with you, thank goodness..." she said with a smile before reaching out and gently dusting him off a little, "You two spooked Shu with all that banging around, he thought it was gunfire at first! I'm sure you can imagine how glad we are that it isn't." Hearing rubble behind them falling about she glanced over and saw the Uuonians coming up towards them, frowning and heading down to meet them halfway. They looked to be going for Viral but she stopped them short, giving them a testy glare as she placed her hands on her hips. "You should be grateful they did this job for you! It's incredibly rude to just ask someone to do this job for you, and even more to sit down right in front of them while they do your work! Have some respect!"

"E-Erm... But miss, they offered to do it for us! We never asked for them to, honest!" one of the men stammered, coughing and wiping some dust off of his face afterwards, thoroughly covered by it.

"It's true! We were going to do it, but they offered!" another said quickly, shirking back when Yumi narrowed her eyes.

Takeshi smiled sheepishly and nodded in confirmation, embarrassed that Yumi had thought they were suckered into this work. "I uh... It was my idea actually, I dragged Viral over to the building to break it. These guys were having some trouble so I kinda offered to help them?" Plus Viral needed to blow off some steam, but he wasn't going to say that and piss the guy off. Hard to tell really how he was feeling other than tired, though in of itself that was noteworthy; Viral had been ill for a long time, and while he'd seemed tired in a lot of ways he'd never seemed like this, just totally, physically exhausted. Hell, maybe the guy would sleep for a change!

"Well, now that all the fun and excitement is over, maybe it's best we get moving!" June announced with a clap of her hands, "I think after all that excitement we should stop and get a decent lunch somewhere! Maybe relax for a little while!" She still hadn't had a meal herself really, nor had Viral eaten at all. It was her hope that after some hard labor he might have an appetite for a change, one enough anyways to put down even a small meal. Excusing herself as she stepped past the Uuonians she joined Viral and Yumi atop the rubble, stumbling slightly along the way. "Viral, would you join me for lunch now? Just something quick, then we can get back to whatever you'd like to do."

Shu frowned, shaking his head a little before sighing. “People shot at us a lot. I don’t know why, I didn’t understand what they were saying back then”, he spoke softly, raising his shoulders, “I think they wanted me the most”. Shu didn’t know why they were wanting to do such a thing, he couldn’t even remember what they looked like or what their vehicles looked like. Despite it being only a few years ago now he could still remember it fairly clearly, all except what they looked like and any other minor details that might identify them. At the time he wasn’t concerned with such details, it wasn’t in his nature to be. Shu didn’t know if anything would change now that he was gone from the jungle, but he did hope everyone was safe now that he wasn’t with them causing all sorts of trouble.

Viral was unaware of Yumi’s presence as she rushed over to him, swinging the hammer back slightly before it was yanked out of his hands and thrown away. Turning slightly, he looked to his hands at first before to Yumi, staring at her briefly as he frowned. He didn’t understand why he wouldn’t be okay, it was just a building and he had took it down. Turning to look at the others who soon came into view he gave a fairly long stare at Takeshi before looking to the Uuonians who decided to show their faces. It wasn’t so much he offered to do it as much as Takeshi insisted they’d do it, he was just along for it because Takeshi thought it was a good idea. Letting out a brief groan he slowly rubbed his head, feeling rather dizzy. This was already annoying, but he didn’t have the patience or energy to get angry at them this time. He just wanted to get out of here before things got to be a little too busy with all the blaming and accusations. Taking a few steps away from Yumi he paused when he saw June making a climb over the rubble, staring at her for a moment before sighing. “First you don’t want lunch, then you want lunch…” he grumbled, deciding to move around and off the other end of the collapsed structure, “And what’s that supposed to mean, ‘whatever I’d like to do’? I’m getting real tired of having to make all the decisions…”

Taking down a building must be taxing on someone like Viral, and surely by now he'd worked up an appetite? Even if he only had a light snack it would be good, he should have something after all of that work. "Well... I changed my mind, and I figured while we're all here why not enjoy a meal together?" June suggested, watching as Viral climbed down and followed after him, "Then how about we eat and relax, and we'll see where things go from there?" If Viral didn't want to make any decisions then that was fine, he didn't have to. He'd just have to put up with whatever they all decided to do instead, he could always voice an opinion or change plans if he didn't like it then.

"No guns out here buddy, don't worry about it okay? No one's going to shoot at us while we're here," Takeshi reassured as he clapped Shu on the back and gave him a smile. This would have to be mentioned to Aito later for sure, that guy would know what to make of it. Even he could tell that thinking loud noises were guns was a pretty big problem for someone to have. Overhearing June's proposal for a meal he perked right up and nodded his head in agreement, his smile widening into a grin. "Hell yeah let's do lunch! I want something other than fruit!" he said before quickly looking over at Shu and T'charrl, "Er... Not that there's anything wrong with just fruit, but it's not the most filling, you know? Something like a big fish or some nice steak would be awesome right now!"

No one objected to getting more food, and really who would? After finding a restaurant still serving meals they helped themselves to some take out, several boxes of fish fillets, assorted greens, some fresh breads and several drinks in strange bottles. Takeshi and Yumi carried the food by the armfuls until a suitable spot was found, a small park with plenty of shade from the trees, and benches aplenty to sit at. Dividing out the boxes among one of the tables it was left to everyone to more or less help themselves, which Takeshi had no issue with. Grabbing what felt like a Styrofoam plate he grabbed a couple fish fillets, plenty of bread and a meager helping of the mixed greens before plopping himself down on the empty table.

"Oh boy, this looks good!" he said excitably while rubbing his hands, practically salivating as he prodded then at the fish, "This is what I've been waiting for!" They had some fish earlier, but those small portions were barely even an appetizer, this was a meal! With everyone else helping themselves he saw fit to just dig in, shoveling forkful after forkful of food into his mouth. With a gob full of food he paused and his eyes widened, squirming slightly before swallowing it whole and letting out a happy sigh. "It's so buttery! This fish is awesome!"

"It is really good, I'm surprised!" Yumi agreed, picking up a small piece and savoring it. Flaky, buttery, not too fishy, just perfect. If they were ever going to refill the ship's food stores they should do it here, she could eat this food forever. Even the vegetables were delicious, and while she had no idea what they were even she helped herself to plenty of food. Unlike Takeshi who thought an all protein diet was apparently okay she tried to keep it balanced, had to stay healthy with all of this traveling. Snatching up another piece of fish she smiled at T'charrl, offering the bit up for him to taste. "You should give it a try, you might like it!"

Shu wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do other than forget that he was in the jungle struggling to survive for so many years, he should be looking to the now instead of the past. He didn’t think there was a reason why he should be looking to the past, but he still kept doing it over again whenever something happened that reminded him of it. He didn’t know what he was supposed to do about all that other than distract himself from it, try to think about the good stuff and have fun while being happy. “No guns…no guns! Okay, I believe you…” Hearing the suggestion for lunch was definitely something he was pleased with, he was happy enough to have lunch now and get his friend T’charrl sat down. His friend didn’t look too good wobbling around by himself like that so getting him sat down and given food was definitely going to be a big plus.

Viral was fairly worn out after all of that, knowing he was already pretty low on energy in the first place. He still wasn’t eating fully or sleeping properly so using a lot of energy all at one time to take down the building was completely draining. He didn’t want to admit that he was weakened, it wasn’t like they could sense it from him anyway. Keeping to himself when everyone seemed to had decided on food he continued along quietly with very little care towards what they were getting. He was feeling rather weary and it wasn’t pleasant with everything feeling like a chore, even the process of dusting himself off feel like wasted energy. He was really starting to wonder when the sun would kick in and wake him up. He was going to leave the carrying of the food to Takeshi and Yumi this time, feeling like he couldn’t trust himself with the food.

T’charrl had been struggling secretly the entire way, even with the help. He didn’t know how to properly help himself without floating along in a weird fashion but even then he would be using Ki and valuable energy to get moving. He was sore and with the medicine starting to wear off he was getting rather wobbly and continued to have a good struggle with keeping on his feet. He wasn’t a candidate to carry the food so helping the others was out of the question. Once they finally settled down T’charrl took his time getting down into a sitting position before letting out a long sigh once he was down. Watching as the food was opened up and handed out he smiled, looking to Yumi who took an interest in helping him eat. He didn’t really know what this food was, the smell certainly did make him feel hungry but what they appeared to be enjoying the most was something he hadn’t touched before. He had seen them eat it, but having it himself wasn’t something he particularly tried himself. “Is that this fish that Takeshi said? I don’t think I’ve had it before”, he smiled before taking the fish from her. He couldn’t really smell it all that well so he couldn’t tell if it was going to be bad for him, but nonetheless he was going to try it. Nibbling at it at first he soon properly ate at it, giving his head a quick shake before he smiled happily. “That is a weird taste! It kind of tastes like I remember it smelling like.

Viral was just sitting at the table without caring about the food that was there, even though he was staring at it quite plainly. He had other things on his mind, everything that was his existence was taking up his thought process as well as how tired he was feeling. He didn’t know how to handle that and just wanted to keep awake, he didn’t want to end up falling asleep and looking like an idiot while everyone ate. He probably should eat, he was told to by everyone that he was supposed to try eating more to get over his need to reject it. Watching as everyone else was having a good time eating he frowned in disappointment, looking back to the table as he slowly put his paws under the table and let out a deep sigh. He was trying hard to not look affected by anything, he didn’t want to end up looking like a fool in front of everyone.

"You should try it T'charrl, it's good!" Yumi urged gently, smiling as she offered up a piece of fish. He hadn't eaten much earlier had he, just some fruit and not much else. Surely by now he was feeling hungry and ready for some real food, not the puree food they gave in hospitals. Watching as he accepted the piece she awaited his response, giggling when he commented on how strange it tasted. "It's a good weird though isn't it? We call that taste buttery, it melts in your mouth right?" she asked, slicing half of her serving up and placing it on T'charrl's plate for him, "It's good for you too! At least fish back home was really good for you, I'm not sure about the ones here though. I always try to eat some just because it's healthy though!"

"I just eat it because it's delicious!" Takeshi laughed, placing another big slice in his mouth and sighing happily at the flavor, "Fish was super cheap back home too, you could find it almost anywhere. Its softer and tastier than beef, its better for you than a lot of fruits and vegetables and there's a lot you can do with it!" He'd seen all sorts of ways which fish could be prepared in East City: fried, grilled, broiled, sauteed, breaded. He still didn't know what most of those meant but he remembered the tastes, and boy had they been good!

"But you need a balanced diet Takeshi, otherwise you're not getting everything you need," Yumi chided before taking up some of her vegetables, "Especially us where we're fighting and training all the time, it's especially important. A good diet, plenty of rest and a good regiment, it's not just a matter of eating steaks all day and lifting weights." Though to be fair she knew some people who did that, and sure they were muscle-bound but not much else. And being healthy was more than just being strong too, you had to take care of your immune system too. Pausing in her meal to sip at her drink, something which reminded her of a slightly bitter tea, Yumi smiled at Shu across the table and playfully kicked his foot beneath it. "That goes for you too Shu, I know you like fruit but you need to be sure to eat protein too!" she added, winking as she spoke, "Not as much as Takeshi though, he eats too much."

Takeshi might eat too much but Viral wasn't eating enough. While the rest of them enjoyed the meal he was just sitting there, staring blankly at the food but never making a move for it. Did he think he couldn't eat? Frowning in concern June grabbed a free plate and placed some fish and vegetables onto it, getting up from her seat and bringing it to the other end where Viral sat. "You should try and eat a little Viral, even if it's only a few bites," she suggested as she set the plate down, wearing a kind smile. It was only fair to him that he got to enjoy the food while everyone else was. And seeing how forlorn he was looking she simply couldn't sit by and watch him sulk. Placing a hand on his head without even thinking she gently stroked his hair back, going even as far to take his fork and slice the fish up into smaller pieces for him. "Sorry... I know you don't like when you get attention like this, but it's my job," June admitted with a laugh, setting down the fork and taking back her hand, instead sitting down beside Viral. "Are you tired? You can take a nap you know."

T’charrl didn’t initially know what to think of the fish but after savouring it he certainly found it to be within his tastes. He was still trying to adjust to his meat-heavy diet, his kind didn’t really eat all that much meat to begin with but his changes had made it so he had a much higher craving than normal. He had managed to control the craving, but he was still worried if in the future he’d go savage and try to eat someone. Their heavy meat diet certainly did help him a lot so he was thankful for that, but he never really knew in the end. Trying the fish did prove to expand his tastes somewhat, a smile appearing on his face as Yumi asked what he thought about the fish. “Food melts in my mouth anyway”, he spoke before pausing, looking a little embarrassed as he looked down again, “I mean, umm…my kind can-I mean…uhh, buttery?” Getting all embarrassed he sighed heavily, looking down at his plate before smiling again, “Fish live in water, right? There’s not much water on the surface of my planet, but there’s lots of it underground. We don’t really eat them…”

Shu was happily eating his food without much of a second thought regarding what he was eating or how he was eating it, preferring to use his fingers and pick it apart before shoving it in his mouth. He didn’t really make a mess and seemed to eat in a very polite way about it without wasting food. Keeping quiet to himself he smiled quite happily away before squeaking when his food was suddenly kicked, causing him to raise off his seat a little. Staring at Yumi as she told him about eating a balanced diet he looked down to his food before to the rest that was sitting out waiting for him. “I don’t want to get all muscly!” he squeaked, grabbing a piece of fish before eating at it flake by flake. He was quite happy to eat no matter what food he was given but when there was colourful stuff he wanted to eat that first. He never really saw meat to be that colourful, but he still enjoyed eating it when told to.

Viral wasn’t paying attention to what the others were all talking about, their sounds and voices just passing him by. He was in his own world for a little while as he tried to decide on what he should be focusing on, whether it would be trying to stay awake or actually try eating for once. Feeling conflicted over his own state of health he barely noticed June there until the food had been placed in front of him, staring at it for only a moment before he turned to look at her. She didn’t have to get him some food, he wasn’t bothering anyone by sitting in silence like this. Turning back to the plate he froze up as she decided to stroke his hair, his eyes staring down at the food she was cutting up for him as his face went slightly red. He didn’t understand why she was doing all this for him or why he was so embarrassed by it all, but either way it felt like a really tense moment. Groaning when she stopped he hunted his shoulders, taking a piece of fish in his claws as he stared down at it. “I’m not tired! I’m just…thinking”, he spoke, tensing up again in an effort to appear more awake, “It’s too early to be sleeping, it’s too soon for a nap. It’s barely the afternoon on this planet…”

Yumi pressed her lips together when T'charrl corrected her, nodding once before putting on a smile again. "Oh... Well it melts in our mouth too, and food doesn't usually do that! Unless it's cotton candy, cotton candy will melt in your mouth." Now she wanted some cotton candy, darn. They hadn't been to a carnival in ages had they? It was just the sort of thing she was positive both Shu and T'charrl would absolutely adore. Even Viral might find something fun to do, perhaps the bell tower game. Yet another activity to add to their ever growing list of things to do on Earth. "I guess if it's not easy to get them then you wouldn't eat them, makes sense. But now you're with us, we can probably eat all we want!" Yumi said optimistically, "In fact there's still a lot of foods you haven't tried yet, like some meats, or pasta, or... A lot. If you're open to trying them we have a lot of food from Earth for you, see if you like them?" Not to stuff him up or anything but food was always nice, and where they would be traveling it was a good idea to find out if T'charrl even liked what they had.

"I won't get all muscly anyways, I've always eaten like this..." Takeshi said defensively, pouting seeing Yumi all but ignoring him and talking to T'charrl instead. How come she always had to pick on him huh? Resisting the urge to stick out his tongue childishly he resumed eating his meal, glancing at Shu to make sure he was eating too. Still using his fingers, so much for showing him how to use a fork and knife then huh? Smirking slightly he took another bite before grabbing his brother's hand to stop him, cringing inwardly feeling how slimy his fingers were. "Hey uh... Buddy? Remember how I showed you how to use a fork before?" he asked, grabbing his own and stabbing a piece of fish, holding it up to see, "You should try doing it this way, you know? I mean... Nothing super wrong with how you eat, just saying that it might be a little easier to use a fork." Not to mention with how they were often playing, or Shu grabbing onto him, he really didn't want his brother's hands to be all greasy or scummy from picking at food.

June didn't mean to embarrass Viral this much as she was only just trying to be helpful. Maybe he just didn't like her doing it in front of his friends, though that seemed like something a little kid would be more upset over. "Well having some food will help you think better, you need fuel for your brain," she teased playfully as she sat beside her son, easing the plate in front of him. "Who says it's too soon for a nap? I loved taking afternoon naps when I could. Just lie down in the grass somewhere in the sun, all of your troubles wash away and you relax, it's very nice!" In fact it used to be to Aito's chagrin that she would vanish on nicer days to find somewhere to walk, or lie down and enjoy the outdoors. She always loved it but rarely had a chance to experience being outside when with her father, now she took advantage of it whenever she could. But first to push home eating a little, something Viral still really should do. Picking up a piece of fish with her fingertips June popped it into her mouth, smiling and nodding at its flavor. "Try some, you don't even have to eat that much. All I'm asking is try a little, if you like it maybe you can eat more, or don't."

T’charrl felt like he was possibly being a little inappropriate and getting a little too deep into the way his kind worked, but he didn’t mean to either. He wasn’t sure what she meant by that at first but hearing her give a comparison he didn’t fully understand maybe he was being a little too literal. “I’m sorry, I don’t really know what cotton candy is. I-I’m also sorry if I’m not making much sense too”. He didn’t know if anything that he said was being taken in by the others, only that he was trying to understand and not really getting anywhere fast. He figured they probably wouldn’t want to talk about his kind when it was probably just gross to them. He did want to try a lot of food he hadn’t before though, he could get behind that suggestion pretty easily when food was very appealing to him. “Oh, uhh…pasta? What a funny name. A lot of different meat too? Even with all this food in front of me, I’m feeling rather hungry just thinking about it”, he smiled happily, having a little trouble with the fork but he soon managed to get the food into his mouth appropriately. He still wasn’t used to all of this stuff that others with more fingers could do easily, somehow missing the cutlery he had back on his home planet. “I suppose that’s another reason for me to go and travel more. I didn’t eat much when I was growing up, but because of what happened to me I guess I should really try adjusting more. I don’t think I’ll get fat soon either”.

Shu was not sure if he was going to get all buff like he saw a lot of Saiyans get, but then again he did use a lot of energy compared to everyone else who just appeared to laze around a lot and only fight when they wanted to. Shu didn’t like staying still for a long period of time, probably why he remained so skinny. Eating his food quite happily he frowned when he was instead grabbed at, looking to Takeshi as he pulled his hand away. “I remember! I’m not good at it”, he spoke, staring at the fork before he licked at his fingers and wiped them down his top. He didn’t like using tools even though he was good at learning, he just enjoyed using his hands more. Sighing lightly he moved closer to the table, taking the fork in hand before simply shovelling the food into his mouth, trying to catch as much as he could before it fell back to his plate.

Viral just didn’t want to be bothered right now but he couldn’t really protest it either, finding he was too mentally out of it to tell her to stop talking to him. It wasn’t that he didn’t care that she wanted to make him feel happy, he just didn’t particularly feel he was worth the time. Letting out a light groan he looked away momentarily, trying to distract himself but finding it to be rather impossible. He couldn’t think of much as he stared down at the plate before him, frowning before he leaned back a little. “And possibly attack someone when I wake up? I feel that is somehow not what I want to be doing”, he sighed, knowing he was still prone to swiping whatever was in front of him. Not feeling entirely sure about his food situation he frowned as June continued to insist that he’d eat some, taking a piece in his claws as he glanced to June. “You say that like I didn’t like eating when I could. Of course I’ll like it, it’s a matter of if I can keep it down or not end up hurting someone as a result”. He really should try and be braver with food though. He shouldn’t be so worried all the time that he was somehow endangering people or think that he was being fed poison.

Hesitating at first he soon began to eat, looking like he was both struggling and appearing determined to both stay awake while eating. This was particularly hard, he was feeling particularly pressured too which was definitely making him feel a little sickly even if his determination was trying to match the other’s hunger. He was tired of being a coward towards simple needs, even if it wasn’t entirely his fault. If he wasn’t tortured so badly to where his animal instincts were made dominant then he wouldn’t have all of these problems. Pausing briefly when he was looking fairly close to zoning out completely he sighed, wiping his claws briefly on the table which caused slight grooves to appear. “…Do you know what it’s like to feel like this? I’ve destroyed so many lives in the past before…but it’s what I’m good at. The Saiyans were only giving me the opportunity to let me be myself, even if they insisted on experimenting on me first to understand me”.

"Oh... Oh right, sorry! Cotton candy is... Uh well it's fluffy candy, it's sweet and its all fluffy, and it just melts as soon as you put it in your mouth. We'll have to try some when we visit Earth again," Yumi said eagerly, smiling before reaching out and patting her friend's arm, "I understood you well enough, don't worry." It was a little hard talking about anything with T'charrl since there was so much he'd never seen. All the more reason to go back home eventually right? If he wanted to go with them that was, he could want to go home too when all was said and done. Smiling as T'charrl seemed to want to travel more Yumi gave a nod of her head, eating up a bit more before speaking. "I think you should, even if it's not with us. When everything calms down I want to visit some of these worlds again, and ones I never got to see. We should plan to do that, if you're wanting to travel with friends that is. It'd be nice to go somewhere and not have to worry about fighting all the time for a change."

Takeshi had been trying to let Shu eat as he was, but watching him probably get all sticky and gross from using his fingers was a bit much. He carried his brother around, they played and they even shared a bed most of the time, he couldn't possibly do that if Shu was going to be messy from meals. Smiling a bit reluctantly when his sibling resigned to do as asked he started to eat again, pausing when he noticed how Shu was going about it; there were prongs on a fork to stab and pick up food, so why was he scooping it up like a spoon. "Hey uh... Buddy? You're going about it all wrong," he chuckled, poking his own food and showing Shu, "See? Like that, you can get a big piece if you want to, but that's what those points are for. Just be careful you don't bite down on the fork, you know? It'll hurt your teeth." Actually in that case maybe it was better Shu used his fingers? No, he had to learn how to use utensils. With how he was going on about how he wasn't normal and felt different he should be trying right?

"Look at everyone here, if something happens it'll be stopped before it starts. Have some trust in your friends, they won't let you harm yourself or anyone else," June reassured, passing a plate of food to Viral in hopes he might eat. From what she understood he hadn't been eating much at all lately, she'd try to coerce him into having even just a few bites then. She didn't know what to suggest for keeping it down other than maybe eat slowly, it wasn't like he had to eat all that much. When the conversation took a turn for the dim she placed a hand on his back, trying to resist outright hugging him to comfort him. "So you were made to fight, no one can change that or take it from you," June began as she rubbed her son's back, offering him a small smile, "But it's up to you to decide what you do with that, not anyone else. If you're only good at fighting then fight, but fight for what's right. If you feel like you made mistakes then fix them now, you can't change the past but you can make up for it in the future. I don't know how you feel, I don't know if anyone here does, but I do know you don't like it. So let's try changing it then. And it starts with getting back into a routine," she added, her smile turning playful as she gave Viral's back a gentle rub, "That means taking a nap, even if its the middle of the day."

T’charrl had been told about candy and had been recommended it several times, but he hadn’t been able to eat some sometime. It sounded like something he would enjoy as well as all the other sweets he had been told about. “I just sometimes wonder if I’m saying silly things, is all. I don’t want people to get bored of me if I talk too much that is silly. The more I talk, the more I feel I just annoy people”. It was going to be great having all of these things to please him when he visited Earth again, but something he would need to consider would be seeing if this form of his was more acceptable among the natives there. He wasn’t as big as he was before not to mention he looked more like himself so maybe he was going to be able to pull it off this time. He was quite excited with the thought of travelling and it wasn’t as if he had big commitments to deal with at home either, people barely knew he existed after all. “What would be very nice is if we could travel faster. Funny how I can open a portal into the afterlife but I can’t open a portal to another world. My spirit can only stretch so far, I suppose”.

Shu didn’t really understand why he had to comply with their eating habits when they weren’t his. He didn’t see what the big problem was or why it was such a negative thing to eat with his hands like nature intended. Shovelling the food into his mouth he stopped when Takeshi pointed out his eating habits once again, staring at him before looking at his fork. He didn’t understand what the problem was but if he was doing it wrong then maybe he should change that. Staring at Takeshi curiously as he demonstrated how the fork works he looked to his own fork before slowly stabbing at the food, watching it slide of at first before giving it another go as he instead licked it off gently as to not bite the fork. He managed somewhat if by somewhat he got the food in, but it was a lot slower than shovelling. Seemingly satisfied that he had managed he bounced on his seat. “Ooh! I did it, yes? It’s really hard”.

Viral stared at June when she tried to make him feel better about going to sleep, but he really didn’t feel any sort of comfort when that would only mean someone would have to be watching over him and that would be rather creepy. Trying to get on with the worst part of the day though he did try to eat until he felt he couldn’t eat anymore without gagging much to his disappointment, especially when he enjoyed eating before all this. It just got him sweating and feeling aggressive, easily the first warning signs that he might turn on them in his head. Struggling to come to terms with his own nature he did try to express it to June but with the hopes that he might be able to figure out what to do with himself, but unfortunately that left him questioning what he might do now. It all seemed so vague, certainly making him fear for his existence in the future if he couldn’t find something worth fighting for. Frowning as she continued rubbing his back he soon sighed at the suggestion of a nap again, rubbing his forehead. “I’m not going to do that in public…” he grumbled, removing his hand, “I can’t be fighting all the time either. We always try to avoid fighting, yet everyone trains and continues to get better. I’m expected to sit around all day until a fight comes along, then lose horribly. I can’t fix my mistakes if there’s no way for me to fix them. I gave up trying to fix things a long time ago, so this isn’t any different”.

"Well you certainly don't annoy me, you never have. I really enjoy talking to you actually. Everyone has their own... Unique way of talking, it's a quirk that makes us who we are! Takeshi has that tick, Shu talks... Well he talks kind of like a little kid, and I always pause whenever I'm talking. It's little things like that which you notice after a while, everyone has it. A certain tone, words people use a lot, those sorts of things." It was similar to how T'charrl said he looked different, which he did. If everyone was exactly the same, spoke and looked the same, the world would be a terribly boring place. The only way a difference annoyed her in any regard was if someone was bothersome with it, or if they lauded it over you or played it up to get sympathy. Expecting everyone to be humble or happy with themselves was asking a lot and she understood that, but it would certainly make things a little easier. "But when you think about it... Where is Otherworld? How far away is that from everything?" Yumi asked thoughtfully, tapping the butt of her fork on the table, "It could be further than we've even traveled and still you made a portal there. How would that make sense though? You can open one far, far away, but not next door?"

June pursed her lips when Viral again refused her idea, looking down at the table as she then bit down on her lower lip in thought. There had to be something she could say to get him to rest, some way he would be okay with it. So he didn't want to sleep in public, okay, what if they went back to the house then? Granted the yard there wasn't all that big for these kids, but they didn't have to keep to the house anyways. If they went off to have fun then she could stay home while Viral slept, give him privacy all the while. "There's always a way, you just haven't found it yet," she suggested optimistically, "Maybe... Before you try to train and get strong again you need to be comfortable with the simple things? Eating, sleeping, you can't do a whole lot if those are giving you trouble right?" Sitting upright in her seat June slammed her fist into her hand, a determined smile on her face as she looked at Viral brightly. "That's what we'll do! We'll go back to the house, I'll keep everyone out of the back yard and you can sleep outside, we'll even set up a hammock!"

Who knew watching someone try to use a fork could be so nerve wracking? Maybe nerve wracking wasn't the right word, but seeing Shu try to eat with the utensil definitely strung Takeshi up a bit. The little guy was trying no doubt but he was about as capable at it as he himself was at swinging in trees. "I mean... Yeah, yeah you did it, but it's... I don't know, could use some work, you know?" the older boy asked before shaking his head, smiling and giving a dismissive wave, "You can eat how you were buddy, it's fine. I just wanted to see if you remembered how to do it was all, good job." No sense in forcing him into doing something he clearly wasn't comfortable with, probably only going to make even more of a mess if they did that.

T’charrl smiled as he looked away, feeling somewhat embarrassed by this kind of talk. “You do? Oh, uhh, thanks. I think it’s interesting how other beings talk, I mean, you all have so many more, uhh…uhh…vowels than my language”, he spoke slowly, trying to think as to whether it was the right word out of the two he was taught for a second, “My voice is okay too, right? I’ve been practising how to talk better”. He really did like to learn how to improve himself but he sometimes wondered if he was annoying people by asking for feedback on his speaking skills and if they really did like talking to him. He didn’t know if he was fine or if they were just being polite, but Yumi sounded sincere so hopefully he was getting better. He tried practising Takeshi’s way of speaking at first, but that seemed to annoy him so trying to imitate others seemed like the better option.

Smiling happily at his improvements in both speech and social skills T’charrl got confused when Yumi instead asked how far away the Otherworld was rather than how he might be able to communicate with it. He didn’t really know how to explain it to her other than go with the plan of saying how he did it rather than how far away it must be. “Uhh, I don’t know. I pull my spirit out of my body and use it as an image…talking…thing”, he spoke, trying to explain what he meant with hand gestures around his eyes, “I guess in that sense I would have to…pull my spirit out and make it go to another place. I only know how to do the afterlife because spirits go there when you die sometimes so I guess I force death on myself to do it…except I can still move my body because of my abilities. I-It’s hard to explain, I mean…I don’t know where Otherworld is either”.

Viral didn’t know what to do about June’s constant attention whether he should just go with it or if there really was a reason for him to try and ignore her pushing to get him to do stuff he wasn’t comfortable with. He knew he had to do these things, but now wasn’t the time or place to be sleeping. He had much more on his mind and to be sleeping now was probably just going to give him some pretty bad nightmares. Slowly rubbing his chest he kept his eyes off June, sighing tiredly as he tried to focus on staying awake. He disliked the idea of putting everything off just to get eating and sleeping properly again, he could do those things at any point in his life but if he stopped training he would just get lazy and remain subpar. Gasping lightly when June slammed her fist into her hand he glanced over to her, staring at her before letting out a groan. “You’re way too enthusiastic about the thought of me sleeping. With my luck it’ll probably start pouring with rain by the time all that’s set up…”

Shu didn’t mind if he wasn’t completely getting the hang of it, he did use his hands differently than everyone else so adjusting was going to take time. He did try to please Takeshi at least, even if he wasn’t comfortable with the notion of using cutlery. Smiling up at Takeshi he tilted his head before sighing, looking back to his plate. “I’ve only used them a few times and all the times was with you”, he spoke, tilting his head a little bit as he looked back to his food before proceeding to shovel his food again. If he was going to do anything with the fork he was going to do what he was comfortable doing and that was using it like a spoon. The food was fairly tasty and after today he felt he could use it as a distraction. Making a stop after getting a look at Viral Shu slowly inched closer to Takeshi, mumbling. “Mister Viral no look too good. What we do after food now?”

"I don't really understand your language much, I don't know how to compare the two. But I think you speak very clearly, especially considering this isn't your language," Yumi said, "I think your voice is perfectly fine, it's yours after all right?" she added with a smile as she brushed her hair back behind one ear, "Compared to when we first met you've come a long way, I'd almost even say you've always known our language now. If you keep this up you're going to be fluent in no time!" All it took was some dedication and hard work, same could be said of anything really. Strength, health, speech, skills, anything you wanted could be gotten if you put the time into it; after years of learning martial arts Yumi was certain she knew almost all there was no know back on Earth, and being her passion she couldn't be happier about it.

Language was something Yumi had a basic grasp on, enough to at least discuss it. When T'charrl brought up his portals and distances she was utterly lost, barely even to offer a hypothetical let alone actual explanations for anything. Hearing his explanation as to how it worked only served to confuse her even further as she hadn't a clue anything like that was even remotely possible. "Remove... Your spirit...? So it's like an out of body experience then..." she mused aloud, trying desperately to wrap her head around the concept. So he was dead in a way yet not dead, it sounded very strange to her. Scratching at one of her ears she exhaled through her nose before giving her shoulders a shrug, unable to even remotely understand the process. "Well however it works it helped us out a lot, that's all that matters. And so long as it doesn't hurt you by doing it too, of course," Yumi said with a smile, getting up from her seat and raising her arms up above her head in a stretch. "Meal's done for me, I think I'll go for a short walk while the others finish."

"Huh... Yeah I guess you really don't do it that often huh? Sorry buddy, not fair for me to expect you to be perfect at it," Takeshi apologized with a sheepish grin, chuckling before snatching up the last piece of food and tossing it back into his mouth, "Mmm... You know... Come to think of it we usually eat over a fire or whatever anyways don't we? Guess there's no reason to need a fork then." Or they had things like fruit, food which you ate with your hands. If he was going to obsess over Shu being cleaner maybe he should carry a towel or something with him, instead of putting it all on the little guy. Seemed more fair that way didn't it? Wondering what the commotion was on the other end of the table he shrugged at Shu's question, looking past his brother to see why Viral was all sulking. June was on about a nap or something it seemed like, was she trying to get him to sleep. "Uh... Well if he's taking a nap then we can do whatever we want, yeah? Which I guess means..." They SHOULD work on some of the things bothering Shu, but every time he brought that up as an idea the kid became upset. "I've got something in mind, but it's a surprise, okay buddy?"

"Then we'll find something to make a cover! Or if none of that works you can sleep upstairs on one of the beds, I'm certain there were skylights in the bedrooms," June recalled as she placed a finger on her chin. Or was that in the family room? Regardless there would be somewhere for Viral to sleep even if it wasn't outdoors as she'd originally planned. Taking a glance down the table she saw everyone more or less finished with their meals, and that meant they could be ready to move along any moment now. "If everyone's finished with their lunch then we should go back to the house," June announced suddenly, smiling as she got up from her seat, "Just um... Well just to let the food digest, it's not a good idea to go running around on a full stomach. We should all go back and sit down for a little while, then you can do as you please." If she said they were going back to let Viral sleep he'd become angry, and if he became angry then he'd probably not sleep purely out of spite, that or not wanting to seem weak. Come to think of it he wasn't too different from a teenager in some ways she was realizing, dealing with him being a precarious balancing act.

T’charrl smiled happily at Yumi, feeling rather pleased with himself. He didn’t have many guidelines other than how people acted around him or whether Vegeta wanted to talk to him about it rather than teach him some more things. “I have been putting my all into it. I mean…it’s mostly all I have to learn. Everything else I don’t know how to solve yet”. He hadn’t been slacking on his own power struggle for no reason, he just didn’t know what he was supposed to do to make everything better for him. His abilities were very difficult to control and were strange, an example of the strange coming from Yumi’s confusion over what his Otherworld portal conjuring involved. Smiling nervously he slowly rubbed his neck, gradually looking away as he could only feel embarrassed. Sighing lightly he stared at the table, wondering if he should keep quiet about his abilities before Yumi managed to break his thought process by announcing she was going for a walk. “Huh? Uhhh o-okay. I shouldn’t eat anymore so I’ll just wait”, he spoke, looking to the others briefly, “I can’t really walk very well so I’ll stay here”.

Shu smiled at Takeshi, nodding quickly as he smiled happily. “Eat from trees too! Fruit is really yummy”. He didn’t really eat many bugs so using a stick or something wasn’t a common thing, plus Takeshi hated the thought of him eating bugs. He wouldn’t eat any strange bugs from this world considering a lot of the animals were very dangerous, not unless he knew there was nothing poisonous. Seeing Viral not look terribly fantastic he couldn’t help but worry for him, but then again he looked like he was very tired. He was still worried for him, it was weird seeing Viral so tired during the day. Looking back to Takeshi who decided to make plans for them he squeaked at the thought of a surprise, bouncing on his seat happily. “Ooh! I like surprises! Well I mean I don’t know yet because I don’t get many surprises, but I like them when they happen!” he smiled, thinking it over only briefly, “Will I like the surprise? Is it a good surprise? It’s not a bad surprise, is it?”

Viral let out a groan, rubbing his forehead. “A skylight wouldn’t do anything if it’s pouring with rain…” Whatever would do fine, anyway. He wasn’t going to feel terrible if it started raining, he would just get wet and that was it. He cared very little about his state of health regarding rain and was just wanting to get on with everything. Frowning when June decided to declare them all finished up, watching as she stood up and decided that they should go back to the house anyway. Letting out a groan he slowly stood up, taking a moment to collect himself before standing up straight. If they all had to head back then he wasn’t going to complain, it was probably for the best anyway. He hadn’t received many answers and he was so tired that he didn’t know how he was supposed to manage walking all the way back.

"And you'll figure out how to do that eventually, you will! Some things take time, if you're okay with that then you can do anything," Yumi said confidently before smiling back at T'charrl, "With how fast you've picked things up so far I bet you could learn anything you wanted to, I really do. If you're going to be taking it easy for the next couple of days why not learn some new things?" She could instruct him for whatever that was worth, or Vegeta might be able to if he wasn't too busy. Heck everyone had something to offer him if he just asked, it all depended really on what it was he wanted to learn. Getting up from her seat Yumi stretched herself out, smiling at T'charrl when he decided to remain seated. "Well then I'll help you, you don't have to walk on your own," she offered as she extended a hand, "Come on, it's just around the park, it won't be that long of a walk. A little exercise might just be what you need."

Yes yes, everyone knew Shu liked fruit. In fact if he left Shu to his own devices he was sure the little guy would surround himself in a mountain of fruit if given the chance. There was liking something and then there was really liking something. Fruit would have to wait anyways as they had just eaten lunch, and much as Shu might like it they weren't going to spend all afternoon eating. With Viral apparently being all down and out of it too it seemed like they were going to be helping him out somehow, June taking charge in that regard. "It's a surprise buddy, if I say anything at all it's going to spoil it, you know?" Takeshi asked with a smirk, ruffling Shu's hair before getting out of his seat, "Like I said it'll be a surprise, that's all. You'll find out when I show you, that's how a surprise works." Now he had to somehow come up with a way to tackle Shu's problems without making things worse, something he'd never really been good at before. Clicking his tongue thoughtfully Takeshi gathered up their plates and dumped them all in a nearby bin, wiping his hands down on his pants as he rejoined the others. "So we leaving now? Where to?"

Viral just seemed to try and find a flaw in everything she suggested, so this was depression then? That's what Aito thought he had, though it just seemed like pessimism. Were those interchangeable? June didn't know enough to guess, but anyone could see that her son was expecting the absolute worst out of every situation. While he hopefully slept back at the home maybe they could figure out some way to make him happier? Smiling sympathetically at how exhausted Viral was, June walked over and without a word held one of his paws in her hand. "If you're exhausted I can try and give you a piggy back ride home," she offered with a small laugh, "You aren't as small as you used to be, but we did it a few times when you were younger. I'm happy to give it a try if you're tired."

It may come as a disappointment to Viral that when they did arrive at the house there was hardly a cloud in the sky. Indeed the beautiful, clear day that they had been enjoying so far was going to continue on, meaning he could enjoy his time outdoors. No sooner had they arrived at the home too did June disappear inside, leaving the group standing in the front yard while she nagged Aito to help her fashion a hammock for Viral. A bundle of heavy string later and some thick sheets and they had managed to do just that, setting it up between two trees just on the edge of the property. Triumphant June returned and fetched Viral from the others, eager to see if her plan for him would work or not. Who could resist the allure of sleeping outdoors on a beautiful day like this? "There! I told you I'd make you a hammock!" June declared with a bright smile, letting go of Viral's hand and standing beside the makeshift bed, "Or... Aito made it, but that doesn't matter. Why don't you give it a try?"

Not too sure why Viral was being led off like that, but boy did the guy seem tired. June seemed to want to get him to relax, to which he could only say good luck with that. In the meantime he needed to figure out exactly what he was going to do with Shu. Bringing up his problems seemed like the most direct and proper way to do this and yet he couldn't come up with a way to do so. If he couldn't help his brother confront the problems then what did he do? Scratching at his head in thought Takeshi deliberated before letting out a sigh, turning to his brother and putting on a smile for him. "Alright, ready for your surprise buddy?" he asked, walking closer and leaning down. "For the rest of the day... We've got the day off! We're going to play, relax, explore, whatever you want to do, okay? Just you and me, we'll have a fun day with just the two of us." There was at least half a day left, surely that was enough time for Shu to do what he wanted to? Instead of trying to do something he had no knowledge of, Takeshi decided, he'd just do what little he did know and try keeping his brother happy.

Since it seemed like Shu and Takeshi were doing their own thing now, and Viral had been taken off with June, that left Yumi and T'charrl without plans. She hated to leave her friend alone after he'd just gotten out of the hospital which meant the two of them should do something... But what? Tapping at her chin thoughtfully for a moment Yumi glanced to her friend sitting on the steps, a smile crossing her lips as she walked over and crouched down before him. "I guess that leaves you and me, how about we work on some of your lessons?" She wasn't sure what her instruction might be good for, and she certainly wasn't going to be able to teach him things like proper grammar or sentence structure, if he was wanting to learn their language more. At the very least she could just talk to him and help with his speech, even if she couldn't exactly explain why something was the way it was. "I can help with with letters, or some basic math, or... I can help you read, whatever you want to do."
