So, I have this idea...
You know how urban centres and any populated areas around them would likely become deathtraps in the event a random zombie outbreak happened? I was thinking, why not have a large group of survivors go make their home somewhere remote? Somewhere not easy to access, far from civilisation so that they'd have to.. make their own little civilisation! And while the world descends into chaos, then later the seemingly eternal aftermath of the outbreak, these people would be as cushy as can be under their circumstances. They'd venture out for old world stuff like books, clothes and essential supplies to be able to support another generation, be able to grow food and that kind of thing. This thing would happen say.. maybe twenty or so years after the outbreak? (And somehow the walking corpses wouldn't be rotted away yet!) They might form different sections of the community - fighters, keepers of knowledge, those who work to keep everything flowing and whatnot. Wouldn't detail it too much unless this thing really took off!
And so I leave it there, ...and ask if anyone's interested yet? o_o
