Psychic Haven

So, I've had a craving for a roleplay where all of the characters have supernatural abilities. The catch is that these powers are all psychic in nature, i.e, telekinesis, psychometry, etc. Now, my original idea was for this to take place in a school or summer camp for kids with these kinds of abilities. Kind of like a place for them to learn to control their abilities without the harassment of those who hate them for what they can do. But it could also be kind of like a training facility for these people in order to protect against some threat against humanity, like aliens or some other supernatural creature. Whether or not they are aware of the end game, I imagine not, is something we can decide upon later if we want to go that route.

Personally, I would love to do either one. :D So, whichever one is the most popular will be the one to get made. Once that's decided, we can go ahead and hash out final details of the plot and story.

Oh! And for reference, this is the list of powers that can be selected from, barring a few exceptions, such as:

Omnikinesis
Psionic Manipulation
Psychic Energy Manipulation
Mental Manipulation
Psionic Embodiment

This isn't a final list. Some powers might be restricted because of their potential for abuse, so I will review any and all powers. :3

@Tyrant from the West: I generally prefer powers to be unique, and Telekinetic Force Manipulation is very similar to Telekinesis. Is there any chance you would like a different power?

So far, it seems like saving humanity is the clear favorite. :3 I'm only thinking of accepting around 8 total characters, though it isn't a fixed number. We'll see how things go, but I'll go ahead and get started on the OOC shortly. As for my power, I'm going to go ahead and reserve Telepathy. It'll be good for a support role of some kind. :P

We do also need to decide what the threat is. :D I was thinking that it could kind of be like the world of Supernatural, where all kinds of freaky things exist that people are unaware of. Then the threat could be Vampires or a coalition of darker creatures. But I'm open to suggestions!

Perhaps the reason for the mind powers? Classic mad scientist? I'd be willing to play a minion or small villain. Just a few suggestions.

That all sounds good, but I sort of like the 'invasion' thing. Maybe a race of supernatural creatures 'vampires, aliens, werewolves' are hidden amongst the humans, and their 'leader' is slowly building up an army to rage a war/invasion on humanity? Sorta like what Tail said.

I'm good with anything, though. :P

Would be fun if the power users were newbies to it aswell xD
And just two or three that are used to the violence and stuff xD
That would create something funny aswell, for the newbies would get scared at start and then once used to it, would obliterate the enemies xD

I'm sort of already making my character. xD He's an orphan who, during a moment of great anger and sadness, completely crushed and destroyed the orphanage. Scarred for life, he traveled the urban neighborhood of his city until he was (Captured or Invited, depending on the method of recruitment). I'm sort of eager, if you can't tell. ^^
