I doubt the mastermind would let Iphie take control of the entire system. She might try, because it's not against the rules so to speak, but it seems pretty obvious Monokuma would respond pretty quickly. As for the phone, there are probably other laptops lying around the school like the one Chihiro fixed. Phones aren't as useful as laptops, after all.

Only Silas would be effect by those on the first day everyone else might just stop eating or try the sandwiches and have mixed feeling for the sandwiches

T'was not meant to be a serious suggestion, but if we're going to discuss potential ramifications of the shit sandwich motive...

Obviously Silas would get the worst of it, that we know. But what of the rest?

Assuming that the shitty sandwiches are tailored to each student for maximum shittiness, I imagine those used to eating unappetizing foodstuffs would be able to take it. The students picky enough to starve themselves would have to eat eventually, as they'd be dead anyway, so perhaps the prospect, combined with horrible thinking due to starvation might cause a death?
