I have never played DnD, Pathfinder, etc. due to being in a hick town. I know not all are forums are die-based, but I mention that I haven't played those more to emphasize my lack of experience role-playing as anything that isn't in a video game. I yearn for more! Before I start my journey, any beginner tips? I could use all the help I can get! Thanks a bunch! :)

DnD is a bitch to set up, like many tabletop games. If you're going to tread o nthat ice, beware because you and your roleplay are going to fall through.

The same goes for things outside of tabletop games. The people here are only comfortable with doing things they've done before, so before you put your idea out there I have to warn you that you might not get that many people joining.

If your are an inexperienced writer, then the Free Roleplay section can tell you that roleplaying is copy paste when it comes to ideas. Free Roleplay won't actually teach you how to write. Casual Roleplay has the most people active and has a better community than all the other roleplaying sections. Lots of roleplays there are already way passed their beginning so it won't be easy to jump in.

If you're amazing with writing, then go for any section. Even Advanced. Don't like writing? Head to Spam!

Want to show off your roleplay? Put it in your signature! Want to show off artwork? Go to the gallery! Want to relax after a long day? Head to Spam or the Member's Lounge or Offtopic! Just don't start anything bad with anyone there.

Welcome to the guild, Blueberry.

There's a tabletop section on this...I think. Maybe.

Anyways,

Free is just to derp around. Basically, one sentence, one WORD, one liners...
Casual is for people who can write but aren't amazeballs at it(yet), one paragraph, quite a few sentences.
Advanced is for those who are amazeballs. Nuff said.
