Rebuilding the Brotherhood

The death of Emperor Titus Mede II had Sparked new life in the Dark Brotherhood, bringing them back from the brink of extinction. Many had joined the Brotherhood since that day, and even thirty years into the future, the faction of assassins grows.

The four remaining members of the older Brotherhood all went their separate ways after years of being together, all set on a mission to revive the brotherhood in all corners of Tamriel.

The jester traveled with his Night mother back to his home in Cyrodill, where he assisted in rebuilding both the Bruma and the Cheydinhal sanctuaries for the Dark Brotherhood recruits. In more recent years, he has traveled to Vvardenfell and Morrowind, where new sanctuaries are being built for the faithful followers of the Night Mother.

For some time, the Stalker of the Sands and the Child of the Night traveled together, moving west to High Rock and Hammerfell. Most recent reports say that the Redguard left his home and went southeast to Valenwood and Elsweyr, while the un-child stayed and watched over the desert land.

The Listener had one of the longest journeys, traveling to the Summerset isles before going to Black Marsh, where a new breed of Shadowscales work in tandem with the Brotherhood

That's a cool intro. But what exactly would we as the players be doing?

By Azura, By Azura, By Azura!!! As a loyal member of the Dark Brotherhood, i would love to play in this roleplay. However (there is always a however isn't there) i must agree with Hagura. What exactly will players be doing? Will we be a brand new sanctuary founded by one of the remaining members? Will we each be founding and managing a sanctuary?

Well my Brothers or Sisters, I was originally planning for our journey to take place in Elsweyr, but over the course of the night, as well as this morning, I have created scenarios for just about every province.

We will be in one of the newly rebuilt sanctuaries around the world, as the one in Dawnstar has become an embassy of sorts.

The choice is up to you as to where this will be taking place, but I have already put in my vote for this to be in the Khajiit proveince.

I'm perfectly fine with this not getting many players, and if it's just us three, I'm fine with that also.

TBH, I love being an argonian, and I think this is an interesting idea. I wonder how it would go in Summerset Isles or Valenwood. Elswyr would be interesting too.

The Dark Brotherhood isn't really welcome in Morrowind, remember- the Morag Tong are government sanctioned assassins, and the Dark Brotherhood just horns in on their business. Also, what with the fact that the Brotherhood tried to kill the Nerevarine, I doubt that the Dunmer would react well at all to them trying to re-establish a foothold in their lands.

Hmm.. You're right. I guess I'll scratch Morrowind off of the list because of that, and thanks for reminding me about the Morang Tong.

No worries. Actually, what with all the Dunmer spreading after the destruction of Vvardenfell, it's possible that the Morag Tong spread with them- they could be a good enemy faction for you to use.

Overall, I think that having the Morang Tong as an enemy faction is a good idea, especially since you mentioned that they could have spread as well after the eruption. I think that they would try to go to Elsweyr, Hammerfell, Black Marsh, and possibly Valenwood. Elsweyr and Hammerfell because of the hot weather and climate, Valenwood because they might find refuge with fellow elves, and Black Marsh because it's close to Morrowind... scratch that part about similar climates.

Black Marsh and Skyrim would both be likely locations, just due to their proximity. A lot of Dunmer moved to Skyrim after they were forced to leave Vvardenfell. Proximity is going to be the big determining factor in where they spread I think.

I think BM would be the best pick out of those two since we've already seen the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim.

Black Marsh would actually probably be a really good location for this- it's close to Morrowind so refugees likely brought the Morag Tong with them, but it's one of the ancestral homes of the Dark Brotherhood so they'd have a natural foothold there. It would probably be one of the definitive points for the two factions to clash.

Unless someone opposes, I'm pretty sure we'll be starting out in Black Marsh.

Because I'm not 100% sure if the first two interested people are exactly interested, since they haven't posted at all since those first few posts.

It will be starting, but that is postponed momentarily because one of my other rp's is down possibly two people right now.

I just need to put most of my focus there for the time being. I'll get this up and running as soon as possible.
