A while back I was working on a RWBY fanfic in which my OC Jett Ryu, after the deaths of his teammates at the hands of Grimm, is transported to an alternate timeline in which he and his team had failed to stop an early plot by Torchwick, which resulted in the deaths of most of Remnant's Huntsmen and Huntresses (Team JETT included). Shortly after the event the Grimm sensed this weakness and attacked en masse, overwhelming the Kingdoms until they fell.
Five years later, when Jett arrives, the two largest groups are the Xiong Mob and The White Fang, with other pockets of survivors traveling in small groups to keep from being killed. But thanks to the sacrifice of Professor Ozpin, new information begins circling around: the Grimm are being controlled by someone known only as the Grimmancer, although it remains unclear how.
Canon characters would be accepted and encouraged-- just keep in mind they are four years older than before. Here's the list:
-- Team RWBY (Yang and Ruby would be necessary to begin)
-- Team JNPR
-- Team CRDL
-- Beacon Staff (minus Ozpin)
-- Qrow
-- Sun Wukong
-- Penny
-- Xiong Mob (Hei/Junior, the Malachite twins)
-- The White Fang (Adam would be the new leader)
-- Cinder Fall & Co. (betrayed by the Grimmancer)
-- Other, unlisted characters
New Grimm (five at most at a time) would be accepted on a monthly basis, until the end of the RP. Some may be turned down to avoid similarities with the Final Grimm.
