So, back when I was 11 or 12 I had found out that Creepypasta existed. At first I only read gaming creepypasta for the back-chills I got when reading them and because they were entertaining. The first real creepypasta I read was the original Slenderman story, which started my fear of dark corners. The second story I read was 'Jeff is Back', which was about the second coming of Jeff the Killer. What really did me in was the face.

Anyways, the night I read that I stayed up all night and would refuse to let myself sleep or else get murdered by some pasty-faced bastard that smiles too damn much (I was, and still am, extremely paranoid.) After surviving until morning, a feat that would surely never happen again, I fell asleep, only to be woken up by the weird, otherworldly sound of someone singing "It's time to wake u-up! It's time to wake u-up!" (the dash is there because they paused for a millisecond before saying up). It was.... weird. Around 9:00 AM, too. At the time, me, my bro, and my mom lived in an old, but surprisingly nice house in Tallahassee, Florida (Oh, Florida. Your weirdness sparks the hearts of thousands.) but I already knew it wasn't one of them who tried to wake me up. One, it was a man's voice, so my mother couldn't have done it. Two, my brother would not have been awake that early (He has the habit of not sleeping until six AM) and the voice was too cheerful, lighthearted, and creepy to have been him.

So what was the source of the weird voice that tried waking me up? Was it an alarm clock fairy? Do alarm clock fairies even exist? Or was it the ghost of some dude who woke people up in a weird fashion?

Or was it just my mind playing tricks on me? It probably was.

Anyways, this is my creepy happening that happened.

The first, and only, Creepypasta I read was the one that Sherlock posted about the Russian sleep experiment. I didn't even finish it, but I slept with a night light that night.

You try reading it right before bed alone in a drark room. (Also, I am not one to watch or read scary media. =P)

But its just about what happens when you don't sleep. Or is there something I'm forgetting?

I binge watch and read Creepy Pasta, and it still doesn't scare me.

I have had the same creepy phenomenon occur every week for the last two and half decades. It does not matter if I'm in my own home or at my parent's house, or even at a business. It seems no matter how careful I am, they still disappear. New, old, it doesn't matter, at some point they will vanish, leaving a lonely partner behind. They go in together, I am sure of it, I double check but at some point in the transfer there are lost or perhaps the dark insides of the machine has some sort of portal device caused by friction and heat. Either way, they're gone without a trace, never to be seen again.

tl;dr

I'm sick of losing my socks in the wash.

It was a hypnapompic hallucination. They happen right as you wake up. I get them too.
