[OOC] Kamen Rider: Mirai Taisen

Dear Kamen Rider ____,

We would like to formally invite you to the Twenty-fifth anniversary of the Mirai Taisen festival in Tokyo, Japan. You are well known for your abilities and we would like to give you a chance to grasp the Power of the Past Riders, a feat no one has accomplished before.

If you have decided to participate, please RSVP as soon as possible. If you live internationally, your air fare will be paid for and your hotel room will be booked for you. Every contestant will be given a universal communicator to bridge the language gap.

We wish to see you at this year's competition.

Rules.

1. No god modding, bunnying, etc. Don't expect your Rider to win EVERY fight.
2. At least a paragraph per post due to this being in the Casual section.
3. Please give your Rider and/or their forms both strengths and weaknesses. Try not to make it OP.
4. You may use a previous Rider belt but not a previous rider. For example, if you wish to use the WizarDriver or any of its variants as your Driver, you must come up with your own name, appearance, and abilities unless you are a Dark Rider counterpart. If you wish to use the Sengoku Driver, you must have your main fruit be an original lockseed but you may use canon lock seeds as form changes.
5. You may use your own custom Driver to make a completely unique Rider as well.
6. Romance is allowed but anything over PG-13 must be taken to PMs or faded to black.
7. IC Drama is fine because hey, it's Kamen Rider! OOC Drama however is not cool. Don't do it.
8. The Mirai Taisen rules will be added when the first IC Post is posted.
9. You may have up to two Riders at this moment.
10. More rules may be added as needed.

If you mean a combat system, those always bog things down and end up making things take forever to progress. It's always better to just plan outcomes beforehand and just play them by ear in my experience.

The tournament has certain rules on what's okay and not okay fighting-wise, as well as a general layut of how it works, so it gives every player a chance to participate on a fair level but still give enough freedom to be creative. As for a system for posting, two to three posts after you posted last seems fair; unless you're in a match, of course then it's both necessary and common courtesy to wait until your partner has done their post (as well as not butting your way in to someone else's fights/personal storylines without asking.)

Hmmm... If I have the Double Driver, is it okay to have a Lost Driver on the side just in case one of the two needed to use the Double Driver is incapable of doing so at the time? ^^; It'd obviously be a lot weaker than Double, but yeah. XD

Freeform combat is a horrible clusterfuck and should be avoided whenever possible.

Lost Drivers are definitely fine since when it all comes down to it, it's just half of the Double transformation in a lot of the cases anyways, haha.

@Parser- I agree to disagree. Free-form combat flows a lot better than a lot of systematic styles for the fact that it doesn't flow as well imho and grows stale. As long as it isn't overdoing it, which I'll be closely watching, I think free-form is just fine, especially with a franchise such as Kamen Rider which is often literally changing strategies on a dime.

Well, there kinda can be a loophole for that. No clue if this would change anything or not but:

If you can justify making the Lockseed in your own character's unique style like the difference between Kouta's Suika Arms and Kaito's Suika Arms, then yeah! Go for it! If you wanted to use a form change lockseed as their major form (except for Suika, Kachidoki and Kiwami, they're a way OP for a base form), then yeah! Also go for it!

Hurm, so, the person I was working on Double with is having computer problems right now and might not be able to be on for a while (hopefully she'll be back sooner rather than later, though), so... Just going to put that one on the backburner for now and focus on a second character for now I guess. ^^; Sorry for the trouble.

Have an idea, but I'm not sure if it's applicable.

I'm thinking of a Sengoku Rider who uses the normal Lockseed versions of the Energy Lockseeds, like how there's the Melon Lockseed, then the Melon Energy Lockseed.

Basically he has the Lemon, Cherry, and Peach Lockseeds... Not sure if that's acceptable or not, so I wanna run it through with you.
