CHARACTERSName: Zenithar "Zen" OuranGender: Male
Age: 38
Species: Mandalorian
Home Planet: Duxn
Appearance:
*Note, he doesn't have a hood or cape, just the robes themselves.
Zen has pitch black hair like many other Mandalorians. His face is squared and grizzled, a light beard on his chin. He has dark gray eyes with various small scars all over this face. His lips are thin and his nose is small. There are multiple large scars all over his body as well. He is a large man, muscled and lean, and tanned, though none of them came from a regimen. They came from a couple years stuck on a desert planet.
Extras:
Weapons:
He is a powerful force user and has been strong in it since he was a young boy, since having been cast out by his brothers his force powers have only grown, but exponentially grown when he crashed on Korriban and was forced to spend two years there, mired in the dark side, learning from holocrons and having literally nothing to do but learn how to throw rocks at other rocks.
Zen's stuff:
A robotic assassin with True Intelligence that has several advanced systems and hardware that make him incredibly unique. Originally a robot designed strictly for hunting Jedi, his outer plating is made of unique cortosis weave that renders him highly resistant to physical force attacks and lightsaber attacks. He has true Intelligence, meaning he has human emotions, memories, and actions, as many AIs are like now adays, and powerful targeting systems. He is afterall, a sniper. His rifle is a model created by the one who made him, an Ithorian on the planet Nar Shadaa, that functions as a rifle of both long range and very short range. Able to be aimed very easily. It also functions as a walking cane.
He is very courteous and defends the ship's AI with pride, though he is a ruthless killer, he is indebted to the ship's AI, Trinity, and fights alongside her regardless of Zen's insanity. He is in fact in a relationship with her. When he speaks, he is respectful and avoids contraptions.
His creator, Radon Thexys, an Ithorian Crime Lord from Nar Shadaa poured hundreds of thousands of credits into him, millions even. Unlike most robots, Sterling was made to be as lifelike as possible, even with several systems and programs that would be deemed "worthless" to robots. Such as several toggle-able traits, such as the 5 senses. Though he never uses touch or smell, and hearing and seeing are a given at all times, he enjoys using taste to it's fullest extent and has developed a refined palette, despite him not requiring food at all and the food itself incinerating in his "stomach". When he is enjoying an evening with Trinity, whom he has shared these programs with, he...liberally uses touch.
At his core, he is a good person. He defines himself as a person as well, fighting that will end up with a slap fight in his favor, but at his core, he is a good person. As he developed, he witnessed atrocities and evils on Nar Shadaa. Even though he is a bounty hunter and aggressive at times, he does not enjoy hurting the innocent. He will if he has to however, if something of utmost importance is waiting for him on the other side. He has been forced to do horrible things, originally having "Assassin Protocol" lodged in his brain before Trinity forcibly ripped it out. Up until when she removed the protocol, he had killed thirty seven Jedi, most at close range. He was originally sent after Zen, but was captured by Trinity engaging a highly effective series of Electro Magnetic Pulses on him that disabled him, allowing her to remove the Protocol, not only saving Zen's life, but his as well. He quickly fell in love with her thereafter, working to make her happy and sticking around solely for her, not to escape Nar Shadaa or Radon.
Between the two of them, Trinity calls Sterling "Silver", a play on "Sterling Silver" that he isn't a fan of and has threatened death to others that call him "Silver", but he treats it as the greatest respect when Trinity calls him Silver as he knows that she only means it as a higher form of adoration and respect. Akin to how he calls her "Dove" out of respect and because she "freed" him from the bonds of Nar Shadaa.
Trinity is an advanced Holographic Intelligence that controls the Harpoon with unerring proficiency. In a rather extensive robotic relationship with Marquis after sparing his life and engaging in crazy robotic love making. Like Marquis, she has True Intelligence with functioning emotions and advanced recognition systems, able to appear in a hologram at any time. She is an excellent pilot, kicking Zen's ass in piloting any day.
She also has control over the ship's self repair module, which doesn't work half the time and takes insanely long to do anything when it DOES work. She is compassionate and kind, treating Zen with a lot of respect as they have been friends for a long time and he has always treated her with respect as well. She fully knows he can be very annoying at times, she gives him the benefit of the doubt and tries to support him as a friend and ally...and cleaning up the mess. Aside from Gyro in the later part of his time there, she was the only companion Zen had on Korriban and he thinks of her highly for not abandoning him.
She is often called "Dove" by Marquis, to coincide with her calling him "Silver." While at first a joke about "Sterling Silver" A refined type of a common metal, it became a bit more important to her as for her it was easily recognizable and was a sign of affection, which he enjoyed.
Gyro is Zen's personal Tukata from his time on Korriban. He tamed her as a puppy and raised her to his side of the force. With gray eyes and overall gray skin, she is predominately "neutral" companion to Zen. Unlike Zen however, she is also very compassionate and caring, but like Zen, she is a ruthless killer and will rend without hesitation.
She is not that old, still in the late teenage years for her race. She acts out at times to screw around but has an "Apology face" for when she really messes up. She more or less "Tolerates" him when she is awoken from her slumber, and is a fierce fighter when somebody boards the ship. She also has a connection to the force, as most of her kind has. Though she has no significant powers, when she musters a large bark from within herself, she can forcepush enemies around her.

average. Ties his
lekku back out of the way when working. He is rather muscular from his profession and from the trouble he tends to get into. Montrals not included he stands at an average height of just under six feet. He has long fangs where a human would normally have canine teeth.

PLOT/NON-LORE NOTESFor all intents and purposes this RP is based in my alternate universe re-write rather than sticking to canon because oh my god do I really have to point out all the problems in the prequels? This is where I'm going to keep track of all my plot changes because there are a lot of them... Actually I pretty much cut out enough useless bullshit to get rid of two whole movies. Also there are certain things in Star Wars canon which are never explained and I make up shit to fill in the gaps. That will go here as well. This section will probably be updated a lot.
Free Trade Zone Look. None of this part makes sense. So I'm gonna say it never existed. The Mid and Outer Rims were never taxed so they were never untaxed so they were never retaxed. Done. "Free Trade Zone" never happens because it always that way. Then the Trade Federation gets all pissed when they start taxing out there because it cuts into their profits. Then their evil leader (Some dude in a robe who looks like Palpatine who is totally NOT A SITH. What? Sith? What even is that? Huh?) is all like, "Hey, this is bullshit. Lets start taking control of planets and tell them to get bent," and the Trade Federation is like, "Hell yeah!" They don't bother with "treaties" or "petitions" or anything. They just invade and take the Naboo hostage until the Hoyty Toyty Republic starts taking them seriously again.
The Invasion of Naboo The newly knighted, greenhorn Obi-Wan-Kenobi gets sent on his first solo mission for the jedi order because he's a big boy now.(That's right. There's no Qui-Gon-Booze anymore.) He's going to tell the Trade Federation who IS ALREADY INVADING at this point, has set up a MILITARY blockade (not a trade blockade) and arrested all planetary officials, to get their panties out of a wad, come take their seats in the Senate again and talk about their problems. (Negotiate.) Of course they immediately show him the door telling him they're not paying any taxes. If the Republic gets their greedy hands off the trade routes they'll stop taking over planets with their droid army. (In the mean time other planets and organizations are looking at this and thinking, "Yeah the Republic does kinda suck and we're sick of them taking our shit. These TradFed guys have a good point.") Little Obi-Wan goes back home to Coruscant, tells them what happened, the jedi are all, "Hey, just lift the taxes," and Chancellor Velorum is like, "LOLNO," because the Republic is corrupt and want more monies. He sends a small military force of jedi and ships to take Naboo and a few other planets back by force. Obi-Wan gets sent right back with them because he's green and expendable :C What happens next is a bloody, messy, disgusting, clusterfuck of a battle that didn't need to happen. Turns out that droid army is pretty damn tough. Lots of citizens, soldiers and jedi (and also jar-jar) die in the skirmish and no progress is made. During the battle Obi-Wan and some jedi go to rescue some of the officials including Padme/Amidala. Here they encounter another jedi. "Hey there buddy, what's up? Help us with these prisoners." This horned son of a bitch starts murdering every innocent citizen and Republic force in sight. Obi-Wan is like "Oh HELL no." Eager to prove himself he takes on the Dathomirian bastard. He's doing well and thinks he's hot shit and even manages to put a nasty gash in the guy's face and blinds him in one eye. Then angry bad guy runs off. Obi's all, "HA! Yeah you better run!" and then the bad guy murders the fuck out of the officials who are about to escape on a Republic transport. Which he blows up killing everyone on board and dozens who were about to get on. Obi's moment of victory quickly turns to agonizing failure. A wounded Obi-Wan BARELY gets a 14 year old Padme off the planet alive. (That's right. All those other fuckers are dead. Don't worry about it.) But when you haul around someone who someone nasty wants dead and then you try to run a military blockade with said nasty person on your tail like the desperate, shell-shocked green jedi you are... bad shit happens. Obi gets through the blockade because it's fucking chaos out there and the TF can't be bothered with his little ship, but an absolutely livid Maul catches up to him. They have a dog-fight but in the middle Maul is called away mysteriously. Obi's ship is heavily damaged. The two make it to Tatooine and crash land. The ship is useless, they are both hurt and traumatized. Rumors of rogue jedi spread almost immediately in the battle's aftermath.
This Kid's AlrightAfter wandering into the space port with no ship, no supplies and no money Obi and Padme finds some slave kid named Anikin who is like, "Yo, I know where a ship is and I know who you have to go through to get it. Promise to get me the fuck out of here and I'll show you." There's some garbage that happens about them fucking it all up and Obi gets sent to prison and tortured and Anikin gets him back out and they talk about being a slave and his mother is dead so we don't need to worry about that mess later on and Padme is kind of a bitch. BUT I DON'T CARE ENOUGH TO GO INTO DETAIL HERE. Shit happens and Obi and Anikin come together in a sort of brotherly relationship and they get the fuck of Tatooine yay.
SchismThe Republic citizens are pissed. Padme is really pissed. Upon getting to Coruscant the Senate is already thinking about getting rid of Velorum so she marches right in to the next meeting and delivers a very detailed account of what happens and tells Velorum where he can stick it. They vote Velorum out of office and replace him with Palpatine. But it's not enough for others and they secede completely from the Republic to follow EX-JEDI (dun-dun-dun) Dooku and the TF and their awesome droids to form the Confederacy. Oh right. Speaking of droid army the Republic is gonna need an army too. Palpatine quickly gets permission to commission Clones. As soon as they have enough Clones produced the Clone Wars begin. Not ten years from now. NOW. It gives us a good decade of war and horror.
Padawan Obi gets some strings pulled and has Anikin begin training in the jedi temple. Even though he's too old he does so well in the initial stages the jedi are cool with this. THERE IS NO PROPHECY, NO DARKNESS, NO CREEPY FORSEEING BULLSHIT. They all think he's a cool, normal kid and will be an awesome jedi someday. Also in a couple years they stick him on Obi again as a padawan. They fight stuff together and get closer as friends. Padme turns into an ass kicking, take what she wants, fight corruption, active voice of the senate... and when she runs into a "legal" Anikin some 8 or 9 years later they start fucking like rabbits. The good parts of The Clone Wars series happens. BLAH BLAH BLAH. The rest doesn't make any difference for us in this RP.
Robots in the starwars universe, at least the SLIGHTLY recognized ones, all have True Intelligence.
Robots, pure ass robots, such as C3PO, exhibit feelings such as fear and compassion. R2D2 shows the same fear with the WaAAAAOOOs and running away. WHICH, leads into another subject that shows that the robots of the universe TI: They fear death, they know what both life and death is. What many robots DON'T know about, is "What is life" and "What is death." Yet, as shown in Seperatist robots in the movies (Whom are also used for comedy routines) show fear of death, they know what death is. Which, for Marquis, death is the destruction of his memories. Mindwipes on droids are almost non-existant in the SW universe as of the clone wars as it's almost inhumane. Destroy the memories of the robot, and you're left with an empty shell for new memories to fill. Many robots, including Marquis, are defensive of memory wipes as for them, Memory = soul. None were demonstrated in the movies, and none were shown in the books I've read. Yet they were done regularly in KOTOR. I think that by the time of the clone wars, the need for memory wipes were dropped except for assassin droids in certain circumstances. So, Marquis knows that death is a real thing, he has real emotions, he isn't simulating them, what about life? He believes, as do all robots, that Life is just living, loving, killing, surviving, reproducing, continuing the cycle. Circle of Life. While some robots, such as sentry bots, guard bots, and turrets, have AI and shackled AI, protocol droids, assassin droids, and several other types have TI.
