She still bears a slaves brand on her stomach just above her belly button. She wears a red dancers like outfit that allows for her to fight and move easily without restricting her fins. Personality: In many ways Sina is a prickly sort, easily frustrated by those around their lack of insight into the workings of the air and sea that a navigator must poses. She still finds herself wary of humans at times, and is always more nervous and quarrelsome as the approach a new island. Still, she has seen both the good and bad of Fishman and Human kind, and will reluctantly give anyone a chance to prove her wrong. She doesn't liked to be touched, trauma left over from her time as a slave. She will often complain about going into preplanned "dangerous situations", almost as if they were a bother to her. This is not a form of cowardice, but more so a bit of naturally defiant nature she developed after gaining her freedom. If it is to help a friend or an innocent she will act almost without thinking. She has a deep loathing for slavers, nobles, and the navy.
Backstory: Sina and her brother (Lo; a Barracuda Fishman ) were captured as slaves together. They lived together in the harsh environment of a fishman island slum, and where often one another's light in the darkness that life could be there. They both had a fascination with the surface. Lo saw it as a place to escape to, Sina saw it as a place with the room and safety to dance that she lacked in the harsh and crowded district. She also loved to see creatures that could fly and fantasies about truly flying herself opposed the gliding she could do. They had a little deserted island they would go to together when life in the district became to much. When Sina was 6 and her brother 13 they went to the island, but were ambushed by slavers who had stopped to wait out a storm that came on them during the night. The two of were sold to the same rich man, someone who made a great deal of money as time as a pirate who was a collector of rare and beautiful things. He made them his entertainment slaves, forcing Sina to dance without end and Lo to fight either beasts or other slaves. There were poorly cared for harshly treated, seen as animals and a very "temporary" piece of his collection to be replaced if they ever stopped working.
After 5 years of captivity, salvation happened in an unexpected way. Rival Pirates attacked the owners ship while he was traveling through the east blue to show off his collection to a relative. In the chaos of the attack her brother managed to free them both, but while they were trying to escape they got separated. Sina spent a moment lost in the large ship, tired, scared, staving, and desperately looking for her brother. She wondered into the storage room that held the bulk of the collection. She saw a odd looking fruit, and the weakness and hunger welled up inside of her. She couldn't help herself and wolfed it down. It tasted horrible. Shortly afterward a cannon ball blew a hole in the ship near here location. I blasted her out of the ship and into the water. To her utter horror she found she couldn't swim. She even felt sick just being in the water. Confused and terrified she managed to grab hold of the floating debris and passed out on it from exhaustion. Next thing she knew she woke up in a bed. A family had found the 11 year old fishgirl on the beach and taken her in. An aged blacksmith, his wife a librarian, and their son a carpenter. They nursed her back to health and kept her secret from the rest of the town.
Needless to say, despite their kindness it took a while before Sina warmed up to the family, having grown to hate and distrust humans after her 5 years of captivity. But eventually they won her over with their kindness and aid. Together they discovered she had eaten a devil fruit in her starvation and would never be able to retune to fish man island unless she sailed there with a crew, one she trusted at that.
By the time she was well enough to move the father and son had built her a small home deep in the forest where no one would find her. They knew most of the town would prefer to either re-sell her or at a minimum return the "lost property" to marines to be given back to "it's" owner. The mother used her access to knowledge to teach Sina many things to help her regain the years of development she lost as such a young slave. Eventually their primary area of study became navigation, given Sina's new found obsession to make it hope and discover the fate of her brother. She lived on that island, being cared for by the family, for 10 years. Once she had become a master navigator she set out to find a crew she could trust that would be brave enough to venture deep into the grand line towards Fishman Island, where she is sure her brother is.
Fighting Style: She moves a with the grace and speed of a dancer, and while she lacks formal combat training she can more than make up with that with her speed combined with her great strength she is more likely to spend most of her time in a fight avoiding your attacks than doing a great deal of striking back or being aggressive. She does have inhuman strength as any person of the "fish man race" does, and wield a large trident that her adoptive father made her to allow her to hunt in the woods. yet her lack of experience and any kind of actual combat practice is a major disadvantage in most battles, even with her fruit to help.
Skills: She has the power of the "Flash Flash fruit" making her "Flash" woman. This is a paramecia fruit power and it gives her the ability to produce light and heat from her body like a lightbulb. She is able do a great big flash from any part or all parts of her body, the more of her body involved the bigger and brighter the flash. She is also able to produce and maintain more gentler amounts of light from any or all parts of her body. She can focus the intense light into parts of her body ( most often and most easily her hands ) making them glow and rapidly heat to blistering temperatures. She is immune to the effects of extreme heat, but not to fire itself. ( For example, fighting Fire Fist Ace or tossed into bonfire; she'd be screwed, but walking through a desert or Impel Down's heat hell; she'd be fine. ) She IS able to put her entire body into super heat mode, making but she can only maintain that for about 30 seconds before being totally exhausted.
She moves like a with the grace and speed of a dancer, and while she lacks formal combat training she can hold her own thanks to her fishwoman strength, athleticism, and ferocity in combat.
A very knowledgeable navigator, with great insight into the conditions of the sea given her heritage.
