(Warning: Contains elements of Racism, Sexism, Homophobia, Violence, etc.)
(My Character) is partially deaf, and cripplingly shy, with a quiet but friendly personality buried within. He despises those who treat others like shit based on aspects that they cannot help, such as sexuality, gender or race.
He's not without his own faults, of course. His crippling shyness means that he'll never actually stand up for anybody, especially himself, scared of what'll happen to him if he does.
(Y/C) is new to the school and indeed, the country, her family having recently immigrated from overseas to the town. Her english is quite poor, and she seems to be struggling to adapt to her new way of life.
(Her personality is your choice.)
Her and (M/C) become friends after she defends him from a hateful verbal and physical attack upon him, despite her "minimal english". The two befriend eachother, with him teaching her english skills, and (your character) helping him learn to defend himself. He quickly begins to gain a crush on her, but feels it is one-sided.
An older student, and the brother to (My character), is a highly racist, homophobic and sexist piece of work, a part of a racist gang, intent on making the life of (Y/C), amongst other's, hell on earth. He doesn't carry any of this hate out himself, working through others to prevent himself being caught out.
He embarks upon a particularly vicious hate campaign aimed towards (Y/C), trying to get rid of her, getting the blame placed on his brother, to make sure (your character) is out of his life.
Will (your character) believe the lies and deceit? Or will she remain as loyal to (M/C), as he has to her?
Can be adapted to be FxF. I'd prefer to stick to PMs.
Depending on the race/religion of (Y/C), concepts like arranged marriage, culture barriers, etc, can be brought into the RP.
This can also be non-romantic, with them becoming like siblings.
