[IC] The Sinnoh League Journey - A Pokemon Roleplay!

Kael could see that everyone was getting ready for battle, and that made him prepare also. He became unnaturally serious, and was assessing his own Pokemon. His time in trainer school taught him the starter moves of some Pokemon, and Kael was aware that Nidoran knew Leer and Peck. He was unsure as to what Poochyena's starter moves were, but he assumed that Ted would already know...or figure it out eventually. Kael, then took a look at the opposing Pokemon: A Wurmple and an Eevee.

'Wurmple is a bug type, and Peck is a flying type move.' He thought to himself. 'I'll keep using Peck, since it's the only attacking move Nidoran has.' He was less certain about the Eevee, as it was a normal type. Nidoran wouldn't be able to do anything which was extremely effective against it. There were likely other things Kael should have taken into consideration, but this battle was somewhat small-scale and simple. With his plan relatively settled, Kael turned to Ted and spoke.

"Focus on the Wurmple, then move onto Eevee." He said in a flat tone.

"Even if we lose, we both gain valuable combat experience that will be useful later down the track." Amy replies to Desmond, her eyes focused on the two opposing Pokemon. Poocheyena was fairly common back in her old home town, as were many dark, ghost or poison-typed Pokemon. However, she hadn't really fought any before nor seen people fight them often. All she knew was that they could be incredibly ferocious...

She stares at her Eevee, who was eyeing the Nidoran with intent. Obviously it knew what their teams priorities were, and that, assuming Wurmple had a bug type move, they could take down the Poocheyena and move on to the Nidoran. Eevee knew what it was doing; Amy didn't, though she knew that if they were to have any hope to succeed, she'd need to trust Eevee's decisions and back them up with her own commands.

"Alright, let's do this!" She announces, smirking in anticipation. "Eevee, attack Nidoran!" Eevee does as instructed, and it's body begins to glow with a white light. It charges head-long towards Nidoran, leaping at the last moment and aiming to tackle Kael's Pokemon.
