Welcome friends. This game is a salute to teenage superheroes everywhere. Marvel, DC, or otherwise. So, beffittingly, it is called Titans. The game is truly meant to be Casual in nature, so long posts are welcome, but not absolutely necessary. Also, the game is intended to involve a large amount of interaction between players. So solo adventures are discouraged, but not completely banned. If you are interested in playing, please speak up, even if you are not sure you will partake.

▪July 4 1940: Captain America began his battle in WW2.

▪August 21 1940: The Justice Society of America formed, declaring that they would defend the Earth until their deaths.

▪November 15 1940: Captain America joined the JSA.

▪May 5 1941: Captain America was lost in the Arctic Circle.

▪March 5 1962: Strategic Homeland Intervention Enforcement Logistics Division was formed.

▪June 14 1968: The X-Gene was officially discovered.

▪August 15 1974: Anti-Mutant riots began.

▪August 21 1976: Charles Xavier began a school for young people with the X-Gene.

▪January 6 1997: The X-Men formed.

▪July 4 2000: Superman debuted, defeating a being known as Parasite.

▪March 15 2000: The more malicious counterpart to the X-Men, the Brotherhood of Mutants formed.

▪November 12 2001: Batman began his crusade against Gotham City's underworld.

▪September 6 2003: The X-Men defeated the evil Mister Sinister.

▪April 1 2004: The Justice League formed and combatted an army of Kryptonians led by General Zod.

▪September 7 2006: The Avengers formed, defeating Thanos

▪December 1 2006: SHIELD began legally registering all active vigilantes.

▪January 1 2015: All the adults in the world disappeared mysteriously.

▪January 3 2015: The Teen Titans formed.

▪January 5 2015: A more orderly group of youths organized themselves, calling themselves the Young Avengers.

▪January 6 2015: The world's adults were returned without explanation or memory of their disappearance.

▪January 8 2015: The Teen Titans and Young Avengers are recognized as as the underage youthful counterparts to the Justice League and Avengers respectively.

▪January 10 2015: Nightwing becomes the official field leader of the Teen Titans.

▪January 13 2015: The Young Avengers are given a base of operations within a building in Manhattan disguised as a YMCA.

▪January 16 2015: The Teen Titans are secretly gifted a T-shaped tower off the coast of Gotham City, cloaked on an island disguised as an expensive resort.

_____Key_Organizations_&_Teams___________________

Teams

▪Avengers: SHIELD's elite private army. All of which have sacrificed the secrecy of their identities for the entirebacking of SHIELD and public sanctification through mainstream media. They are hailed world-wide as heroes and the collateral damage they cause is dealt with by SHIELD as is the crowd control.

▪Young Avengers: Monitored by SHIELD and trained extensively, the members of this team sacrificed their secret identities to SHIELD so that they could be treated as a government asset. They are the most closely monitored team and the most reinforced. They are usually monitored by various Avengers.

▪Infinity Inc: A team of various youngsters completely unmonitored by an elder team, but inspired by the JSA.

▪Justice League: They are not sponsored by the government and are legally considered criminals because of their refusal to surrender their secret identities. On the other hand, they, almost as much as the Avengers, are publically looked up to. But unlike the Avengers, they have no one to clean up their messes, so they tend to be more cautious.

▪Teen Titans: The only team without a staff closely monitoring them, the Teen Titans have the most privacy and fewest regulations. As a whole, they are the most independent from their mentors. Though the android Red Tornado has been assigned to monitor them.

▪Justice Society: The world's first team of superpowered individuals, the JSA were a symbol of hope for the future, equality, social justice, and safety. By now the senior members identities are public knowledge and the younger members are left alone out of respect for the older ones.

▪SHIELD: A worldwide peacekeeping task force with astounding utilities, resourceful operatives, and a thorough database of the known universe. It is based on a flying warship called the Helcarrier. And it has, both publicly and in secret, intervened to save the planet many times.

▪X-Men: A team of adult mutants directed by Charles Xavier. They serve one basic purpose: To fight for mutant rights. That includes rescuing fellow mutants from the government, saving the Earth as a whole, and stopping other mutants from committing horrendous crimes.

▪New Mutants: Taught at Charles Xavier's school, these youths are students as well as trainees to become the next generation of X-Men. They are trained often in The Danger Room and are monitored by the staff of Xavier's school. In the field, they are on their own for the most-part.

Tales of The Predecessors

These are the adults of the world with information that is unlikely to change and can give insight to what characters are established. These lists serve mainly so that players can't muscle each other out of characters by saying 'That hasn't happened yet' or something of the like.

▪Batman: The Dark Knight himself is Bruce Wayne. He has officially claimed several young males as Robin, the current being his flesh-and-blood son. Previous trainees include: Dick Grayson, Red Robin, Red Hood, Batgirl, Spoiler, and Black Bat. Related characters include: Batwoman, Flamebird, Azrael, and more. It is to be assumed that Batman has met the majority of his rogues gallery, though the Justice League has not.

▪Spider-Man: Peter Parker is the wall-crawling vigilante that has been lauded by some as the greatest hero of all time. At this point he is twenty-nine tears old and married to Mary Jane Watson. His legacy characters include: Steel Spider, The Prowler, Scarlet Spider, Kaine, Ricochet, Prodigy, Spider-Woman, Spider-Girl, Arana, Dusk, Alpha, and Hornet. It is to be assumed that he has also met the majority of his rogues gallery.

▪Superman: Clark Kent is a hero hailing from Krypton. He has a multitude of super powers and is considered one of the most powerful beings alive. His legacy characters include: Superboy, Supergirl, Matrix, Power Girl, Steel, and Vaporlock. As with previous entrees, it is to be assumed that he has met the majority of his rogues gallery.

Roles

•Titan: A character aged nineteen or under that is allowed onto the teams made up of adults. They are the main cast of the game and are its focus.
•Guardian: Possibly a legal guardian or parent, but they are the individuals most responsible for a particular underage hero. Only one per player.
•Den Mother: An adult responsible for the training and well-being of a specific unit of teens. Only one per player.
•Villain: The antagonists for a game. Villains may have their own cast of NPCs, but must come into contact with the main cast. Only one per player.

Rules

* Please apply for only one character at a time. As time goes on, you may gradually be allowed more characters. There is no blanket statement for how many you may have. Your total allotted character limit is based on my perception of how responsible you are as a player.

* There will be no calling dibs for characters. Every character is available to every player from the start - players cannot lay claim to any character without posting a complete character application. The game shall run on a first come first serve basis, unless prior interest is expressed, in which case the GM may wait for a competing application.

* Do not post an incomplete application in the OOC.

* You are required to post at least twice every 7 days per 'Titan' although it is preferred for you to post more. Mentors, Guardians, or Villains require at least one per week.

* You must post in the IC thread within three days of its approval. Failure to do so will signify a writer's block or worse--lack of interest!

* Player Characters may not be killed without permission from the player said character belongs to. It is preferred thay you alert the GM if you plan on killing a named NPC. However, unnamed NPCs are fair game.

* Several storylines can be going on at once, in order to interact with other players. If a player's character does not want to be involved in another's storyline, they do not have to. Consultation and communication are key to good PC-to-PC interaction.

* For this game, we'd like to maintain an atmosphere that resembles Western-styled comics. So sources we are likely to accept from include: Comic books, video games, movies, and cartoons. If your character is taken from manga, anime, folk tales, or legends, you may be judged harshly.

* Your character has the right in the story to travel wherever they actually have the means to go.

* Time-travel is not permitted without the specific permission of the GM.

* Absolutely no insulting your fellow players.

* If you wish to apply for an anonymously run character, PM your app directly to the GMs, followed by all related posts.

* Stay in character. Do not break character, and try your best at all times to be consistent with the personality you've established.

* Players may make any application they'd like. However approval will only come if all the fields are properly filled out and the CS is consistent with current continuity. Feel free to reimagine existing characters in the style of Marvel's Ultimate Universe.

* Obey your (Game)Master! He GM reserves the right to kick any player out as necessary.

* Any Adult characters picked up to be played should be used in a way to directly interact with youths (No solo Batman adventures chasing Clayface in the sewers).

* If you wish for another Team to be formed, Privately Message the GM account to discuss its purpose and structure. The same procedure should be followed for any proposed amendments to the rules.

* All regular Guild rules apply. Failure to comply will result in a report filed after a warning is issued and an opportunity to make amends is denied.

It's fairly flexible and you can draw your own if you want. And three paragraphs is just a suggestion. It's just recommended if possible.

Don't worry. I love the attention. Go ahead and make Iron Fist. You can scale his age down if you want, or not. It's up to you. I made this so that a bunch of my friends and I can have a bit more lighthearted and relaxed game. However, I'm gonna say no to original characters. But you can reimagine existing characters to better suit your playing style.

I am considering playing Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld based somewhat on the DC Nation shorts version (since whilst I love the original version, I really like how they modernized her too much not to use the new version), but we'll see how that turns out.

Brief Bio:
Tony Masters was born on a snowy December day in 1997. His school life was generally the same as any other kids. He excelled at maths and physics though and he had the strange ability to copy just about anything he saw. This helped him a lot during sports days when he could just copy the other kids best efforts and recreate them. It also helped him cheat in a lot of tests by allowing him to copy other students pencil movements and just put them to work on his paper.

His teenage life wasn't much different. He wasn't exactly popular but wasn't exactly the least popular either, he was kind of in the middle. He spent most of his time either training in his schools rugby team or watching old Bruce Lee or Seagal films. It was only until a new, problem student appeared at the school that he learned he could copy anything he saw. The student took an immediate disliking to Tony. Tony was cocky and had charisma, while this student was the type to write 'die' on the back of his jotter over and over again. He challenged Tony to a fight to which Tony declined. The student kept aggrovating him until he accepted. When the fought start Tony had seemed to recall a film he had watched the night previous. 'A Game of Death' it was called. The fight was over within seconds as Tony leaped into the air and sent a flying kick to the students head which knocked him back into a wall where Tony sent a flurry of kung fu attacks to his chest and stomach. This granted Tony freedom of the student along with a week long suspension.

The most traumatic part of Tony's life happened a year after the incident. He and his family were on a holiday in Norway during winter when they were driving late at night back to their hotel. The road was extremely slippery and an 18 wheeler skidded to the side and knocked the car off the road and sent it tumbling down a hill. Tony was lucky that he woke up relativley unharmed. His parents weren't that lucky. He dragged himself through snow to the nearest emergency phone to call the nearest hospital. They were too late though, Tony's parents had died long before he had even woken up anyway. He was put in an orphanage that he hated and things would never be the same again. He escaped the orphanage a few months after being put in it and began to hitchhike. He gathered various metals on his journey and eventually got a job at a mechanics. It was here taskmaster was born. He studedied night after night and made his own equipment before going out crime fighting.

Abilities:
Taskmaster has no powers other than his photographic reflexes. These enable him to watch another persons physical attacks and movements and them duplicate them without practice. The ability is only limited by his lack of other powers that he may have needed to copy the techniques. He can however do some techniques at super speed for a very limited amount of time if he saw the technique sped up, eg if he watched a kung fu movie while fastforwarding. He also has photographic memory and can impersonate any voice. He relies a lot on his weapons which include but are not limited to, a sword, shield, bow and arrow, lasso and firearms.

Personality:
Tony is rather cocky and doesn't really like others barging in on anything he's doing. He does however like to use teamwork within a battle as he knows his limitations and is forced to study others to stand a chance of even surviving a fight. In his spare time he likes watching movies and playing video games. Partly for the fun of it and partly for later use. He is also fond of music, but mostly only old music from the 50s to the late 90s. He dislikes being interrupted when he's doing something especially if it's eating. He isn't that easily provoked and remains cool headed throughout most fights but he can snap at some points and start fighting more brutally if enraged.

Under the mask Taskmaster has brown hair that naturally falls in front of his face. He has it cut rather short though so it doesn't reach his eyes. He has brown eyes and a strong jaw. He has naturally palish skin that he obtained from constantly wearing his uniform while outside.

(Keeping Peter Pan because I am proud of the concept and really want to play him, as for a second I'm going to take out Cyborg 009 and try to come up with something else.)

Brief Bio:
A long time ago, in a part of the history of London. A family welcomed their first boy into the world. Named Peter, they dreamed up many things he could accomplish. However still an infant, Peter wound up leaving the house while unattended one day. Seeing a beautiful fairy fluttering around the streets. When he got fairy dust on him. It enabled him to fly, where he traveled the skies until he reached a far away place known simply as Neverland.

Although he grew in age, it was seemingly snail paced compared to what the real world was going through. Peter ended up meeting a group of other like minded kids his age that became known as The Lost Boys. All of whom tutored Peter in the ways of this land. As Peter grew he eventually became the Lost Boys’ charismatic leader. Where he worked along with the indian tribes, and fought the vicious pirates led by Captain Hook. Peter Pan eventually even became able to fly on his own without needing fairy dust.

Occasionally some members of The Lost Boys would travel out, seeking new members in the world. Some of the kids would stay and join rank, other kids it was a simple few days or weeks playing. However that all changed when Peter himself met a young girl named Wendy. When Wendy arrived she didn’t seem to have fun like they did. She asked them questions about their real lives. Peter and the boys became confused by what she was talking about. Until finally Peter took a moment to return to London. Where he realized not only his parents were long gone, but according to what he could find on them, they had gotten another boy, all records showing they had forgotten seemingly about Peter.

The Lost Boys and Peter Pan tried to continue to play and live their lives on Neverland. But things were not quite the same when Wendy seemingly left in disgust. Slowly, members of The Lost Boys began to return home, Peter tried to stop them at first. Valiantly but only to have more and more leave. Soon Peter was all that remained. Peter dreaded in the pit of his stomach the idea of going back once and for all. To have to have these ‘responsibilities’ Wendy had mentioned. Finally though, with his head hung in shame, Peter left Neverland for the last time.

It took some years to be able to create an identity for himself. Peter Pan became Peter Barrie, a young man who after a few years of schooling was able to get work at a toy shop in downtown London, along with a small but liveable apartment. He worked a comfortable shift, and was a huge hit with the regular customers and their kids. Peter has since reconnected with some of his old friend in The Lost Boys, but after letting Tinkerbell pass away peacefully from age, and getting used to modern life as he now aged a few years into his late teenhood. Peter Barrie felt like he was able to leave life as Peter Pan behind for good.

That is until one day all adults in the world seemingly vanished. Using his flight and skills, Peter helped a fellow group of young heroes to solve the problem. Now with a new craving for adventure Peter has split his time between working at the toy shop, and being Peter Pan once again.

Abilities:
The biggest ability of Peter is his ability to fly. Able to achieve top speeds of about 100 miles per hour. Which he had gotten through constant exposure to fairy dust. On top of this despite his young age, Peter has eons of experience with combat, in particular swords. As Peter carries a cutlass with him into any battle. On top of that Peter’s seeing and hearing are second to none. As well as his ability to understand and speak languages.

Personality:
Still considerably a little kid in a grown man’s body. Peter has matured since his time on Neverland, but still has a long way to go in being completely mature. Peter is a boastful lad, always one to mention his own greatness even when the claim could be questionable. Though he never means to be arrogant by doing that, its just a personal running joke he likes. Brave almost to a fault, Peter has a devil-may-care attitude when it comes to handling situations. Though with that his sense of justice and fairness is strong.

Although he has pretty much been all of his life fairly self-centered and selfish. Peter has matured from that after giving himself real issues. Although he can still be a bit childish for the wrong reasons at times. He gets sadden if someone brings up his parents, and although he gets along best with children. They can remind him of his days in Neverland and also dampen his mood a bit. All that said though, Peter is someone you can be proud to have as a friend.

Appearance:


A fit, handsome young ginger haired man. Although Peter could be considered almost thousands of years ago, because of his time in Neverland and subsequent years back on Earth. Peter is technically 18 years ago. Possibly more or less, but he frankly can’t be bothered to look into it. Having a nicely fit frame, even though Peter’s eating habits should make him a sumo wrestler (he claims he has a high metabolism… though it could be argued he doesn’t even know what metabolism even means). While Peter has a polo shirt, with name tag, and pants with sneakers for work. Typically Peter outside of any kind of work doesn't really dress very mature at all. T-shirt with some wacky thing on it, jeans or cargo pants, and flip flops no matter what the temperature is. Yes, his gone out in freezing cold in flip flops and never thinks twice about it.

As for the costume Peter wears as his Peter Pan persona. Originally when he was little the suit was actually made from leaves and other natural things. Stuff which doesn’t provide much protection, not to mention decency. So Peter got a new outfit made from clothes, a bit of spandex, and a bit of leather. He has with it a holster for a sabre sword Peter was able to buy from an antique shop. He chose it due to having a similar weight and feel to the one he regularly fought Captain Hook with. Though he swears it has a sneaking suspicion that it’s not a coincidence. As he swears he’s seen the sword elsewhere but can’t place a finger or where or when.

Affliation:
‘Tootles’ - Former Lost Boy, now works as a police officer in Washington as Chris Allport. Friends with Peter through internet.
‘Slightly’ - Former Lost Boy, now a stand up comedian living in London as Edward Slight. Him and Peter go get a cup of coffee once a week and is Peter’s closest friend from Neverland.
‘The Twins’ real names Josh and Aaron Binky - Former Lost Boys, now they live in the US in different locations. Both internet friends with Peter.
Leonard Aster - A mid-40s aged man who runs the toy shop Peter works at. A kind man who adores Peter’s commitment to work and ability in handling the young clientele. Has no knowledge about Peter’s life in Neverland.
Teen Titans: The group Peter Pan has become affiliated with.

Brief Bio:
Daniel Thomas "Danny" Rand-K'ai was born in 1989 to Heather Duncan Rand and publicly successful businessman and secret former K'un-L'un Immortal Wendall Rand-K'ai. Danny's life was as uneventful as the life of an heir to one of America's biggest corporations could be, until his father took him on a trip into the Himalayas to find the Eternal City of K'un Lun along with Danny's mother and Wendell's business partner, Harold Meachum. Meachum betrayed Wendall out of jealousy over his financial success and an unrequited love for Danny's mother, attempting to throw both Danny and his father off the mountainsides to an icy death. Wendell died from the fall, Danny's mother dying with him as she attempted to save her son and husband. However, her sacrifice was not in vain, as their bodies managed to cushion Danny's fall, leaving him near-mortally injured though still clinging to life. Harold Meachum left the boy to his presumed death, heartbroken but triumphing in his new wealth.

Fortunately, Danny was found by the Immortals residing in K'un-L'un. They nursed the boy back to health and after his numerous insistences, agreed to teach him their ways. For ten years Danny trained with and learned from the Immortals, focusing especially on the martial arts and overcoming any trials and hardships the Immortals could design for him. At sixteen he could achieve the sorts of results few earthly martial arts masters could duplicate. By age nineteen, only one test remained. under his teachers' guidance, Danny went to a cave on the frozen peaks outside The Eternal City and faced the enormous fire-breathing dragon Shou-Lao the Undying in one-on-one combat. After grappling the beast to the ground while fire so hot that it imprinted the dragon's own serpentine scars onto Rand's body poured from the beast's maw, Danny plunged his fists into the dragon's still beating and fiery heart. He struck it again and again until his own body and especially his fists became infused with Shou-Lao's chi, defeating the undying dragon with his bare hands.

From that day forth he was known as Iron Fist, and the Immortals of K'un-L'un invited him to join them. Danny refused, instead returning to the outside world to hunt down his parents' killer. He soon found an old and weak Harold Meachum who had long ago lost his ability to walk after severe frostbite and an avalanche had left the traitor barely alive soon after he'd killed Danny's parents, though he'd been rescued and brought back to America. Filled with pity Danny decided not to kill Meachum, but an unknown assassin killed Harold before Danny's eyes and pinned the murder on him. For two years Danny hunted for the conspirators who framed him while also making ends meet by working with Luke Cage as a Hero For Hire, eventually clearing his name and taking his rightful place as CEO of Rand Meachum, re-titling it Rand Industries. Since then he's had many other adventures and met many other heroes, eventually agreeing to act as the current "Den Mother" to Teen Titans

Abilities:

Martial Arts: Iron Fist has trained in various martial arts for over eighteen years since he was roughly nine years old, at least ten of which were spent in the company of K'un-L'un immortals with martial arts experience far beyond that of any mortal teacher. As such he can be considered one of the greatest martial artists to walk the earth.

Armed Combat: As part of his training in K'un-L'un Iron Fist became a master of nearly all traditional martial arts weapons.

Physical Conditioning: Thanks to his many years of training, Danny's agility, reflexes, stamina, speed, senses and strength are all at peak human levels.

Chi Manipulation and Augmentation: Thanks to his training, Danny can control and focus his Chi to greatly increase his physical and mental abilities to beyond human levels. This is further strengthened by his ability to draw on the Chi of Shou-Lao. His durability, reflexes, stamina, speed, and strength and mental faculties can all be improved with his own chi as well as Shou-Lao's chi.

Iron Fist: Danny's most notable ability and namesake, the Iron Fist involves Danny calling on Shou-Lao's Chi and focusing it into his hand. This causes his fist to become inhumanly powerful and resistant to damage, allowing him to shatter wood and stone and tear through metal with relative ease as well as striking enemies and objects with massive concussive force entirely without damaging his hand. He can also extend the same sort of Chi to other objects, though doing this tires him considerably.

Minor empathic/telepathic abilities: Though he has no real skill or strength at it and rarely ever uses it, Iron Fist learned a small amount of empathic or perhaps telepathic skill from his Immortal teachers.

Acrobatics: Rand is a skilled acrobat and gymnast, perhaps the equal of an olympic level athelete if not better, though certainly not among the best.

Some knowledge about magic: Though no expert, Iron Fist's training in K'un-L'un also involved learning about magic and other arcane subjects, though he himself cannot use any form of magic or arcane power.

Multilingual: Danny has learned multiple languages in his travels and while studying in K'un-L'un.

Wealth: As the CEO and majority shareholder of Rand Industries Danny is rich enough to put him on par with Tony Stark or perhaps even Bruce Wayne in terms of financial resources, though Rand Industries technological branches are less developed than the former two.

Personality:
Danny very much enjoys sounding deep and wise and dropping the occasional ancient-sounding proverb, mostly in homage to and slight mockery of his own teachers in K'un-L'un. While he tries to seek detachment and self-liberation, he usually finds that he enjoys fighting and adventuring too much to successfully do so. His love of fighting isn't really a love of violence or destruction so much as an eagerness to test his skills against similarly powerful opponents, while his love for adventuring at least partially stems from growing up in the isolation of the Eternal City. Danny's strongest dislike is the possibility that anyone might betray him. He gives his trust in people a lot of weight and has a very hard time forgiving anyone who might betray him. He also dislikes the responsibilities of being CEO of a megacorporation, though he approaches his duties there with the same focus and devotion that he gives to his martial arts training, lest his father's legacy slip out of his grasp. Having recently become responsible for the youths at Infinity Inc, he's surprised to find out that he likes teaching and guiding almost as much as he likes fighting or cryptic wisdom, and not having grown up with a family of his own for very long he'd probably find himself trying to do his absolute best to help and protect his charges. Other than that, he likes various herbal teas and meditative exercises, the martial arts above almost anything, cheesy television shows and movies, and cookie dough ice cream.

Appearance:
Couldn't find a decent face photo, but here's a copy of the costume traditional Iron Fist costume Danny Rand is blond haired and blue eyed, around 5'6". Rand has the serpent-shaped scar of the Eternal Dragon Shou-Lao branded onto his chest, as proof of his succession to the title Iron Fist.
