Personality: James is a loner and rarely ever speaks, he uses body language (nods, shrugging his shoulders, etc.) more then words. When he speaks its normal important. He likes the company of technology, more than people. He plays video games and takes apart electronics in his free time. Not the nicest person out there. He is bluntly honest. He hates criminals.
History/Backstory:
James was given up by his parents to an orphanage, when he was born. The orphanage he was sent to was just a front for a children fight club. James was the youngest of seven children at the orphanage, their ages from to newborn to 11, at the time. The children there were treated horribly. The kids were forced to fight each other, which were bet on. James was lucky to survive his baby and toddler years. At the age of five, James was forced to fight, but you couldn't call it a fight because James was fighting one of the oldest kid there. He ended up with bruises all over his body. He and the other orphans went to school, but the person in-charge there was bribed by the people running the fight club. It wasn't until he was eight when he started winning some of the fights. This abuse continued until he was 15, when his powers showed themselves. He had just got in a fight with one of the adults running the fight club. James was winning the fight when the man pulled out a gun and aimed the gun at James's head. James stopped moving, then the man said, "Time for your punishment." and fired the gun. James closed his eyes, then he felt the bullet touch his forehead, and it stopped. When he opened his eyes the bullet had dropped to the floor, and he felt full of energy. The man and others watching ran out of the building, saying something about he's one of them.That day was the only time he was able to absorb kinetic energy. James started path to being a Hero by hunting down people in-charge of the fight club. He started with the man in-charge of the school. He is still hunting them down to this day. James finds no need to hide his identity, since he has nobody that could be leveraged against him. The only reason he uses NRG is because he thinks his real name is boring.
Equipment: Batteries
[Powers/Abilities:
Energy Absorption: The user can absorb energy into their body and use in many ways. They are able to absorb energies that they come in contact with, such as electrical energy, radiation, heat, etc. The palms of the hands are the most efficient way to absorb energy.

Regenerative Healing Factor: The user is able to channel absorbed energy into self-healing, only able to happen when 60% of his body is in one piece.

Self-Sustenance: The user is able to forgo sleep/sustenance by absorbing energy.

Energy Attacks: The user is able to channel absorbed energy into a projectile attack.

Additional Info:
-Unable to absorb kinetic.
-Main way way of firing a projectile is from his mouth, which when he wants to, his body dislocates his jaw and his cheeks split in half to allow his mouth to open more than a normal human.
-If he absorbs too much energy, he will die in a number of different ways, from imploding, exploding, burning up, and etc.
-One way to stop his energy projectile is to close his mouth, which will cause the projectile to be contained but James's head will blow up.
-Knows sign language.
-Is a dirty fighter when not using his powers.

If he gets let say punched in the face from the front, then his head will be "pushed" backwards, because a person is applying continuous force, the distance of how far back his head will move depends on the strength of the person. While a bullet, we can say is just one giant blast of energy, so it will stop after its kinetic energy is absorbed.

What I actually wanted to know is if it will damage him? Cuz nearly every physical attack can be considered kinetic.

Yes, but not as much as a normal human.

He's sounding quite over powered to me then. I figured that Jinxlynx had brought up an excellent point, but now you're saying he has the ability to release that much energy. If the left arm of God is not enough energy to damage him then I don't see what is. The reason I'm saying this is because I don't see any weaknesses to your character.

I'll type out the quick stuff and very very quick descriptions for the long stuff. If you like her abilities and the like and accept her on that, I'll detail it. An hour isn't much time to type stuff up :P. Also I'll have a picture soonish, I'm making a 3d model of her as we speak.

Name: Light Void

Alias: Light

Height: 5"6

Age: 20

Gender: Female

Appearance: Light is a slender/tone white skinned humanoid looking thing with short light blue hair and black/orange eyes. Her head is vaguely sphere shaped with no nose and very large eyes. Her ears look more like fins than ears. She wears a blue tank top, a blue dress, and silver bracers. Her hands have 4 long clawlike/featherlike fingers that could look like a weird wing from certain angles. Her dress is a three sectioned blue set with a white trim and black inside with two of the pieces going down to her feet from the back, and ending at around her navel leaving a gap in the front. In this gap is a triangle shaped piece that goes down to her kneecaps. Her legs end in points where the feet would be and are quite muscular.

Personality: Light is a strong carefree intelligent girl who values freedom above all else. She doesn't think highly of most situations, and will usually try to find something to amuse herself, which can lead to her sounding like an airhead, overly sarcastic, or blunt. She is observant of the world around her, and quickly adapts to new situations as they present themselves. She dislikes people who have weak wills or people who restrict the freedom of others, but is otherwise friendly to everyone.

History/Backstory: A creature of the Void, Light found herself on earth when some rogue summoners attempted to open a portal to the void in the hopes of gaining power or something. Of course the ritual didn't do what the summoners had expected, and the vortex they were opening to gain power sucked them all in, leaving Light behind when it closed. And unlike the misconception of a void creature wanting to devour everything in sight, she only seeks to balance the world, as a world out of balance often times does not fade naturally back into the void, and instead causes problems for itself, the spirits within it, and the worlds around it. And of course she would also restrict the freedom of others if she fell under the stereotype, something she is very much against.

Using her mask to move undetected within the human populous, she noticed that there were humans with superhuman powers, and villains with these powers as well. And some of the heroes or villains, didn't even look human! It didn't take her very long to notice that there were far more villains than heroes, and that these villains were mostly boring 'i'mma destroy' or I'mma rob dis bank!' types while the heroes seemed to use teamwork and acted like friends, and decided to be a hero based on those facts.
"After all, I get to punch things in the face, and most of the time they're super ugly. Plus Heroes can be fun friends, as long as they aren't boyscouts."

Equipment: A human face shaped mask that makes her look human, instead of her actual form. In her human form she looks sort of like her actual form, except her dress is an actual dress, her proportions are more human-like, her eyes are white and orange instead of her natural black and orange, and her skin is a fair color instead of pure white. Of course this is all an illusion, but a very convincing one.

Powers/Abilities:
Super Strength - Standard Super Strength ability
Regeneration - Light has extremely fast regeneration that allows her to regenerate at the cellualr level. She can regenerate any missing body part or attach dismembmered body parts, including her head. Of course she still feels the pain of getting hit, just that she heals it up very quickly. This also makes her immune to Asphyxiation, being set on fire, Poisons, diseases, and all that fun stuff.
Kinetic Combat - As Light attacks, her attacks and movement speed get faster. Having to regenerate or not being in a fight for a short while will reduce this speed drastically.
Fusion Punch - Light converts her speed into an extremely devastating and powerful punch. Hit or miss, after being used, her speed from Kinetic Combat is brought down to base levels.
Atrophy - Light emits an aura of Atrophy due to her void home. This causes things she is in constant physical contact with to slowly degrade until they fade into the void. This effect isn't seen though unless Light has constant contact with it for weeks on end. Magic however will be affected much faster, and can be sucked into the void within a matter of up to an hour.
Air Jump - Light can jump off the air, giving her a sort of psuedo-very-easy-to-shoot-down flight

Additional Info: Light loves to dance, and can be a slave to the rhythm sometimes. Her big fingers make it hard for her to operate most types of weapondry unless said weapon doesn't care if the user has monster hands or not.

No its fine. Don't worry about the name of the powers though, its not that important, the description is what's important. But I have three questions for u.

One: Does she have an actual heart? Or is she organically different than humans as well?

Two: Since she can still feel pain regardless her regeneration, can she be knocked out?

Three: Can you explain to me the Atrophy power, I didn't understand it?

Sorry for asking all these questions, it's just that I need to know this stuff for the sake of the roleplay. I have future plans for everyones characters DUN DUN DUNNNN!!!!! lol
