Shade flew trough the sky in his dragonform, his wings swiflty within the wind, slamming it into a way he wanted it himself.
His eyes glanced across the debris of several buildings, as his eyes looked for some food, for he wanted a small snack.
His wings barely made a sound, to make sure he could ambush his prey once he found one.
Humans... Animals... And the mighty dragons, the dragons who now rule this world!
But instead of walking side by side with the other dragons, Shade always created his own way, he always walked his own path...
And for now, he just wanted to see if he could find some fun, for he didn't had that in decades....
His eyes still glanced across the barelands, the debris and the burned down world that laid bare infront of him.

Echo glanced around nervously as he crept through the forest. Every rustle, every snap of a twig made him jump a foot in the air. He couldn't help but be skittish. He was in dragon territory after all. Another twig snapped and he froze, breath halting in his chest. He contemplated turning back but his little brother's pale face flashed before his eyes and he took a deep, steadying breath. He couldn't give up now, Zero needed this medicine! No one else in the underground was willing to rick going this far into dragon territory so it was up to him.

"People die all the time. Just think, when Zero passes he won't be suffering in this godforsaken world any longer."

Echo clenched his small hands into fists. He knew the Chief of their compound men't to be reassuring but it only made Echo all the angrier. He had even said when Zero died, not if. Everyone had already given up hope that the little boy would survive but not him! He refused to let his brother die the same way their mother had. Now, that run down store had to be around here somewhere. At least, if the map he ad nicked from the Chief's office was correct it should be. He sighed and leaned against a tree, tipping his head back to stare at the leaves above him.

Shade grew tired of this dead landscape, dragons scourched these lands long ago... leaving barelly anything alive...
With a swift slap of his wings, he changed dirrections, towards the forest, there should be something to eat around there...
As he saw the forest in his eyesight, he slowly started to slap his wings without any sound, only his shadow could truelly tell others where he was...
As he heard something snap... He took a closer look.... A human? This far in dragon territory?
He must be insane... And yet seems detirmened...
Shade slowly started to fly down, as in his flight he changed into his humanform, only he was able to do this, no other dragon even found out the true secret behind Shade his magical abbilities...
As Shade landed on his feet, he glanced across the ground, trough the trees... But where did that boy go?
Shade started to run, looking into different directions, trying to find him... And just as he wasn't looking he bumped into something.... As Shade fell down, he looked at into what he bumped... And noticed it was the boy.

Echo continued trekking forward, a determined set to his shoulders. He was going to get this medicine or die trying! He unfolded the map and held it up in front of his face, trying to determine where he was. Suddenly, something slammed into him and Echo yelped, dropping the map as he stumbled back a few steps and tumbled to the ground. He laid there for a moment, wondering just what in the world had hit him. He looked up and gasped when he saw a man standing there. He scrambled to his feet and scurried back a few steps, golden eyes large. "W-Who are y-you?" He asked in a small, trembling voice. He had never seen him before. Was he from another compound somewhere? It would be odd; Echo thought the compound he belonged to was the only one in this area.

As Shade glanced at the boy, he stood up, dusted himself off and just smiled...
"You do realize you are in dragon territorium? Or is it a death wish you truelly have?"
Shade glanced at the boy, as he then picked up the map that tried to escape within the wind, unfolded it in his hands and glanced at it...
Why would anyone dare to enter a higly dangerous territorium of dragons... Shade folded the map as he glanced at the boy.
With a snap of his fingers Shade teleported himself a few meters behind the boy "Or are you planning to become a snack for a dragon?
Another snap followed as Shade teleported to the right side of the boy, again a few meters away "Because i am willing to grant you that wish, if that is what you are looking for"
Another snap followed, as Shade teleported to the left side of the boy. Unless... It is something else why you would risk your life... Would you dare to tell me why you would venture into a dangerous territorium filled with dragons?
Shade snapt his fingers again, as he teleported himself infront of the boy, this time just a meter away from him, keeping his pure blue eyes focused on the boy.

Echo opened his mouth to reply but nothing but a gasp escaped as the man teleported himself behind him. The boy gasped, whirling around but by then the man had appeared beside him. Echo watched as the man then appeared on his left then stopped in front of him. Echo stumbled back, eyes wide. This man wasn't human and his gut was screaming at him to run. So thats what he did. He turned and darted in a random direction.

Shade glanced at the boy as he started to run away from him.... Did this just truelly happenend?...
Shade sighs as he snaps his fingers, with a mere second he teleports himself infront of the boy.
"You forgot something"
A smile on Shade's face appears as he puts the map infront of him, towards the boy, so he would be able to take it out of his hands.
"Now... Would you dare to answer the question about why you are running trough this forest like a scared little chicken? Because I think it must be quite a story."

Echo yelped as the man appeared in front of him again and he skidded to a stop. He reached out with one trembling small hand and took the map. He gazed at the man with wide eyes. "W-What are y-you?" He whispered, inching backwards slightly. His escape was blocked however by a tree and he pressed against, eyes remaining fixed on the male in front of him.

Shade glanced at the boy, sighs and smiles afterwards. Should he tell him? No, for now he would just keep it for himself.
"I am a humanbeing, can't you see that?"
Shade took a step closer, observing the boy... He was trembling on his knees.... What would a small fry like him do in the territorium of dragons?...
"So as for my question... One more time... Why are you in this territorium, because you do realize dragons will eat you?"
Shade glanced around for a moment, making sure none of his bretheren followed him on his tour around the lands, as he then looks back at the boy.
Although there was not truelly any danger around the forests, there still lurked different kind of dragons around... Small ones... Big ones... Even those which one could not easily see...

"A-A human can't teleport." Echo stated in a trembling voice. "A-And I'm here because I-I need to find medicine for my brother, h-he's very sick." He inched around the tree, wondering how far he could run before this male caught up to him. Probably not far because considering Echo's luck and lack of balance he would fall flat on his face and possibly twist an ankle.

Shade glanced at the boy, laughed and raised his shoulders.
"Perhaps... Perhaps not... But who cares if i am human or not? It's not like dragons can change into a humanbeing, right? Right?"
Shade then looked across the boy, towards the line of trees, he knew there was something the humans called... what was it's name again? Pharmacy?
And medicine was something they used to heal themselves... And yet Shade didn't truelly understood why...
"So... Want me to take you there? I passed it on my way here."
Shade smiled towards the boy, as he then again looked around himself, making sure no other dragon was nearby.

Echo flinched when he mentioned dragons and looked around uneasily. He looked back at the male, his eyes widening when the man offered to take him him somewhere. Could he possibly be talking about the Pharmacy he was trying to find? Echo regarded him warily, wondering if it was a trap. Finally he gave a small timid nod. "A-Alright. Lead t-the way."

Shade looked at the boy, smiled and glanced past him.
"Now don't get scared alright?"
Shade grabbed the hand of the boy, as he just wanted to snap his fingers to teleport them both...
What did he suddenly feel?... Even see?.. What are these... These pictures...
Are these memories?

Shade saw the memories flashing before his eyes, as they suddenly stopped at one certain memorie... A little boy lying in a bed... an old man telling... telling Shade something? No... These were the memories of that boy infront of Shade! The old man tells that boy it's.... it's useless?
Shade could smell death... Death was lingering around that small boy in the bed...

Tears started to roll down Shade's eyes, as he immediately pulled back his hand, what were these feelings?...
Were these the emotions of a human? The emotions of... that boy?
"A... Alright... It will be a long walk... So lets go..."
Shade walked past the boy, into the direction of the building he searched for... but the memorie of that small boy in the bed... and the feelings.... were the ones that mostly distracted Shade right now... They kept popping up, they kept showing themselves...

Echo blinked when he grabbed his hand and flinched slightly in surprise. Suddenly though the man stopped and seemed to be staring off into the distance. What was wrong with him? What happened? Echo grew slightly alarmed when the male started crying and released his hand. What just happened? The man started walking and Echo trotted after him. He noticed as they walked the man seemed to be lost in thought and Echo wondered again what had happened.

Shade glanced infront of him, almost totally absent... Zero... That was his name... And... Echo?... The boys name that was following him...
"We are here Echo..."
Shade stopped walking and looked infront of him, it wasn't a long walk, but they had allot of turns that they had to take, but now they are at the building that he was searching for. The pharmacy...
"I hope you'll find the cure for Zero, now if you don't mind..."
Shade turned around, glanced at Echo and smiled "I'll take my leave..."
Shade's eyes were still filled with tears... An emotion that he... That he casted away at birth... Every emotion that he knows... He had to learn to deny them, and cast them out of his system... And now... Sadness had returned....
Shade walked past the boy, making his way back into the dark forest, to overthink everything that had just happened in such a short time...
