Cause Yang's Blake's lover partner. She still cares for her little kitty, and all her friends, but she has to work late night to support the family and all that.

I'm gunning for it being Yang's mother. I mean, Yang's (kinda) asian, so having a samurai for a mother is likely. Plus, she's wearing short shorts and has the hangy down butt cloth thingy Yang has. Plus, she kinda looks like the chick Yang was looking for in her trailer (which was revealed to be her mom.)

I just think, if it were Blake's mother, the writers would've directly involved her with Blake, not with Yang. They're not exactly subtle. I can agree she looks a lot like a tengu themed character though. Complete with Nevermore mask and everything.

The only real reason for not saying she is dead as a doornail is because they aren't and will appear some time to kick ass. Helping Yang -Ruby's sister - works out, and she was said to be a very skilled Huntress.
