Well, I was kind of hoping to build up to all the fights, like they wouldn't just be a bigasswhatthefuckmonster bumrushing them out of fucking nowhere. That and the thing they'd be fighting isn't technically one of the boss Grimm, its a mutated/overgrown version of one. And there was going to be a Rooster Teeth related joke with it.

If Jaune can kill an Ursa Major, I don't think a normal Ursa is a threat to any competent hunter.

Also Laura doesn't bond. She stares at you and makes you uncomfortable until you give up and stop trying to bond with her. :p

Just to note, not all Ursi are made equal. The one that attacked Abel and Bridget was a particularly nasty one, but still not the worst there can be.

Jaune took out a Ursa Major after it beat the living crap out of him, and then his shield was lifted into position by the polarity girl so he could get a critical strike in, without that Jaune would have been Ursa food.

And lovely, Trico doesn't give up, she just grins inanely until you give up trying to make her give up.

Jaune also had no training in combat. At all.

Better example, Yang easily killed two of them with one punch and Nora rode one through the forest like a pet.

Yang is OP as sin with Explosion Gauntlets, and Nora is very much like a crazy version of her namesake.

But, just because you have no training, doesn't mean something won't die when you cut it's head off. Nor does it mean that you won't ever find yourself coincidentally poised to slice said head off. It was more luck than skill.
