I'd imagine if they're royalty, then the royal family could afford some pretty fucking great fighting instructors. I mean, I guess I'd be fine with it as long as they aren't super broken.

Professor Ozpin and Beacon Academy has some pretty fucking great fighting instructors. Why blow thousands enticing some hardcore Hunter or Huntress and take them away from the front against Grimm when Ozpin offers it for free?

Given that Jaune can sneak in using forged transcripts, I'd imagine so. Otherwise his folks would have discovered very quickly that they're paying for an expensive school tuition. Though I also imagine having money makes things easier for you, such as being able to buy Dust and other supplies for yourself.
