Korbin, too busy juggling the soccer ball to notice the enraged boy coming up to him, started a little as he was grabbed by the collar. Of course, the look of surprise vanished from his face almost instantly, returning to it's usual empty state. "Your sister?" Korbin asked. "Ah, yes, you must mean Gale." Korbin grabbed the boy's wrists and twisted them outwards, effectively escaping his grasp. As soon as he was free, Korbin walked to where his soccer ball had landed. With a flick of his foot, the soccer ball was back in the air, Korbin juggling it with his legs.

'Let's get something straight. Your sister isn't a good duelist. Records don't lie. And it's not my fault that you two can't grasp the reality of your sisters skill. Or, in this case, her lack of it. I was simply stating a fact. Now, if you would please leave me alone. This takes a lot more focus than you might think."

Gale forced her tears to still again for a moment when Michelle spoke, once again simply sniffling with an occasional drop leaking from the corners of her eyes. "Do . . . *sniff* . . . Do you think . . . *sniff* . . . I should . . . *sniff* . . . I should just give up . . . *sniff* . . . like he said?" Gale managed to ask between uncontrollable sniffling. She was aware of her lower-than-average record, which had never bothered her before, but having it thrown back in her face like that had completely devastated her.
Brent felt as though he could tackle the boy after his ignorant and completely repulsive response. "Listen, whether her record was good or bad means nothing right now. This has to do with the fact of insulting someone to the point of tears is . . . it's disgusting. To be so detached from human emotion like you are makes me sick. I'm doing this because I care about my sister. Not that you'd understand what it means to protect a sibling. You're probably a spoiled only child who gets everything he wants from his parents." Brent had likely pushed some buttons with what he had said, but he figured really make it plain how it felt, he had to try to strike at Korbin's cold, rock-solid heart, assuming he even had that.

Korbin had stopped listening at that point. It's not like this boy had anything to say that would interest him, and like he had said, juggling a soccer ball took a lot of focus, more focus than could be split between juggling the ball and whatever nonsense this boy had to say.

"... a spoiled only child who gets everything he wants from his parents."

Korbin's head stared straight ahead, away from the soccer ball. A split second later, Korbin reared his foot back, kicking the ball on the way down square in to the boy's face, as hard as he possibly could. This would probably knock him down on to his back, or at least to a sitting position. As soon as the boy had fallen, Korbin pounced on him, leaning over his body, head tilted to the side. His face was still scarily blank. He didn't say anything, just stared at the boy dead in the eyes, with no readable expression. If the boy were to try to wiggle free or strike back at him, he would shove his shoulders in to the ground with surprising strength, using his knees to pin the boys arms to the ground rather painfully. After a good 15 seconds or so of staring, Korbin finally decided to speak. "I understand you're trying to protect your sister. But the damage is done, now isn't it? Nothing you can do about it now except get mad, but that would only make things worse, now won't it? Look at where you are. Pinned to the ground, helpless. Now, I'm going to get up, slowly, and if you move, we'll be sitting in this position a lot longer than you'd feel comfortable with." Korbin did what was promised, slowly releasing the pressure on the boy's arms before he was standing up again. After he was fully standing up, he reached out a hand to help the boy up. "If you have an idea of how to make this better, I'd be willing to help you out."

"Nonsense, don't even think of it," Michelle said, hugging her more tightly. "That boy was mean, and you know it." She patted Gale on the head, letting Gale rest her head on Michelle's shoulder. A few wet tears landed on Michelle, but she tried to ignore that. She smiled and said, "You almost beat even me, and you know how powerful my deck is." Michelle was probably stretching the truth there quite a bit, but this was for Gale. "You're a great Duelist just like your brother. After all, he'd say the same things I just said, and you know how older siblings think they're always right," Michelle said.

"You do realize he was neither helpless nor alone in this matter right, monsieur spoiled brat." a voice said behind Korbin. When the boy turned around, which seemed likely given his reaction to the spoiled brat reaction last time, his face would be met nicely with the bottom of a shoe that was heading towards his head. Joshua had followed Brent the moment he had seen him passing by, looking like he would murder someone. He had watched the confrontation right up until Korbin tackled Brent to the ground. At that point he had waited until Korbin got up before trying the old bait and hit. Of course if the bait didn't hurt he would still hit the boy." Damage done or not, you had no reason to say what you said. You were simply being an ass. The least you could do is go back and apologize. And maybe in exchange I'll apologize for hitting you... maybe. Depends on how much emotion you put into the apology. Though if I had to guess, you feel as much emotion as that ball of your. Little to none."
"You have a very odd way of speaking." Amelia said, having to try and decipher some of things Amaya said" As for seeing my deck... well, the only way you'll see it is in a duel."

Michelle's last comment had at least made Gale smile a bit. "Thanks, Michelle," she said. She had to agree, though. Brent didn't talk a whole lot, but he could be stubborn when he did. Slowly, Gale pulled away and used her hand and arm to wipe away some of her tears. She sniffed one more time before speaking again. "What do you think Brent's gonna do to him?" she asked. "I hope he doesn't get himself hurt."
Having lost his sense of balance, attempting to get up was a challenge for Brent. With his right hand, he pushed himself into an upright sitting position; with his left, he lightly touched his nose. Pain shot through his head at even that. When he pulled his hand away, he realized his nose was bleeding from the small stain on his hand. The soccer ball had done some damage, that was certain. Luckily, Joshua had come to his aid. If Brent hadn't been dazed from the ball nailing him in the face, he might have been able to shake the boy off him before, but given the situation, he had been helpless.

Brent miraculously got his feet beneath him and stumbled to the edge of the court and, for the moment, nursed his bleeding nose, wanting to stay in the vicinity should he be able to help Joshua at some point. After a few seconds, maybe his balance would come back to him.

Michelle smiled and said, "If we know anything about people in this school, it's that this will probably turn into a Duel." She turned to look at the exit Brent used and said, "Korbin won't be easy to beat, though. I Dueled him after you left, and won, but only because I went first. If I hadn't, he probably might have instead." She sighed, then said, "If they're gonna Duel, Brent won't have an easy time." She turned back to Gale and said, "We should probably go find your brother before he does anything stupid."

Korbin was satisfied with the damage he had done to the boy. He shouldn't have been accusing people he just met with such things. In Korbin's mind, it was his fault he had received the bloody nose. After Korbin had got up and offered to help the boy up, a new voice made itself known behind Korbin. He turned around slowly, but just fast enough to see the kick coming. He blocked it with his hand, gripping the new boy's foot harder than he needed too. He was getting a little mad at these people. He could have yanked his foot from underneath him, send him on his back like he did the other boy. But not today.

Korbin released the new boy's foot and took a few steps away from him, out of range of another possible strike. He sighed loudly, pinching his nose. "Alright, you two, you've made your point. But I've made mine as well. Now let's all just take a moment to calm down. We won't get anywhere like this." He pointed to the boy he struck with the soccer ball. "Get a tissue for that. Blood stains, and we wouldn't want anyone seeing it." He turned back to the new face. "And you. I offered to help, if there was a way to make this better. But I'm probably out of everyone's good graces right now, so an apology isn't going to cut it. With that in mind, what is there to do about distraught little Gale?"

Brent opened his mouth to speak, and almost stopped himself when it felt like it stretched more muscle in his face than normal. Of course, keeping blood off his shirt was the last thing he was worried about until things were sorted out. It wasn't like if anyone asked him how a blood stain got on his shirt that he would tattle on Korbin. This was a matter for them to deal with themselves, rather than looking for revenge by getting the other slammed in detention or whatever.

Holding his first finger horizontally under his nose, Brent said in a rather congested voice, "If you want to try making amends somehow, she's down at the Action Duel pavilions. But if there's any funny business at all, you'll be helplessly outnumbered. Otherwise, I don't want you going anywhere near her. I mean honestly. I don't know if you're capable of showing any emotion, but if you had a sibling you were close with, imagine how it would feel to see that sibling depressed because someone made them feel completely worthless. What would you do?"

Brent hoped that maybe this guy could pretend to have some emotion, that maybe he would have struck a soft spot in Korbin's heart, to show this cruel kid that there's something greater than caring about oneself all the time. He turned to leave, trying to remember if there was a bathroom between here and the pavilions so he could clean up the blood.

Korbin nodded at Brent's condition. A part of him did want to apologize to Gale, if only just to get on everyone's good, or at least neutral sides. He certainly didn't mean to make Gale cry, not in the slightest. In his mind, he thought he was completely justified with what he said. But with everyone else, that apparently wasn't the case... And even still, remembering his own family, he started to take the blame off of the retaliators and on to himself. Korbin would, in fact, be outraged if anyone were to make his little sister cry, even if they were just stating facts. But he didn't allow himself to show any sympathy. Instead, his face stayed blank as he walked towards the Action Pavillions to where Gale supposedly was. Let's get this over with...

He walked next to Brent, striding at the same length. He turned his head towards him, getting ready to firstly apologize to him. "Brent," he started before taking a long pause to consider what he had to say. After a few seconds, he sighed and looked back again, his face ice cold as the words came out of his mouth. "Sorry about your nose," Korbin managed to force out, but he meant it. The whole "only child" thing struck the wrong chord with him, and he didn't like to be angry like that. Especially when it involved hurting someone. Korbin then turned back to Brent, hand held out for a hand shake with him. "Maybe we should get ourselves on neutral terms with each other." This time, his words were a little less forced and a bit more genuine.
Professor McKillings sat in the teachers lounge, sipping a warm cup of tea. The day, it seemed, was coming to an end perfectly for him. He had a large stack of homework for him to correct tonight, meaning his students were doing the work. Great. The Tribute classroom was alive with students and the holograms of cards as they dueled each other. At a glance, he recognized every single card in play at that moment. Double Coston, Super Conductor Tyranno, Jinzo, Chronomally Mayan Machine... It was pleasing to see such good duels taking place in the classroom.

Professor McKillings turned around in his swivel chair, observing three shrines lined up against a wall, each depicting an Egyptian God. To the right was "Obelisk", to the left was "Slifer", and in the middle, Professor McKillings personal favorite: "The Winged Dragon of Ra." He took a moment to revel in the majesty of the three statues... All were summoned through three tributes, so McKillings thought it fitting that he placed the statues for his students to observe. Unfortunately, none of his students would ever have the privilege of wielding such powerful monsters. But through McKilling's prestigious background, he had managed to earn the right to wield one of the beasts. He let out a content sigh, turning back to his classroom to watch his students duel.

Brent was struck by the words Korbin spoke. Not negatively, but the fact that they were the most meaningful words he had heard the boy say. For a moment, he wasn't sure how to respond. Then, with the hand that blood hadn't dripped on, Brent shook Korbin's hand. "I . . . I guess I should apologize, too. I said some things back there that were . . . inappropriate, so I'm sorry." Brent figured if Korbin would be willing to apologize, he should do the same, shortly afterwords noticing a restroom down the hall a little ways. "Uhm," he started, not sure exactly how to excuse himself. "I guess I should, uh, you know, clean up this blood." He made himself turn without waiting for a response and made his way to the restroom, knowing his face probably looked like it had been through a war.

Filling a sink with water, Brent began cleaning himself. Luckily, the blood had coagulated, and it was no longer running down his face. It would take a couple of minutes, but at least none of it had gotten on his clothes, meaning he wouldn't have to explain a blood stain to his parents.
