Yes but those were trained chi blockers backed by a large corporation. These guys are street thug benders with mostly adept to intermediate level skill minus their elite to master leaders. The mystery group mentioned above will have need of us to actually be a full group to take on.

Well if they're adept to intermediate, and their masters are elite, then they wouldn't need a 'ridiculous' amount of back up then since none of our characters are high tier. Just because a group is large, doesn't mean all of them are fully capable benders/fighters. In many cases, a big group would make it even more challenging, having to worry about friendly fire and the weakest of the bunch getting used as hostages.

I went ahead and made the small edits.

Dude I won't lie I'm starting to get a bit frustrated now. If you're trying to piss me off it's working rather well now. Does the explanation of I don't want to wreck an entire corner block of a city with earth bending and lightning bending work? Personally sending out ten to fifteen or so men to do some random thug work is excessive. In Payday 2 there's literally four thugs to rob a bank and or rob a prototype fusion generator or hold out against an aggressive army of cops. In fact those four thugs can take out an entire city's worth of cops and more if they wanted to and had the team work. I don't have the answers to everything and I am just trying to make this roleplay enjoyable without the need for a giant mass of benders in every other fight.

You have a small error in the last paragraph you said you've been bending for seven years despite being a pro-bender for only six unless you're recently retired that should be fixed. It's a small tid bit but it could confuse some people. Otherwise I'll accept the character.

Name: Eilram

Nicknames: N/A

Gender: Male

Age: 23

Bending skills or fighting style: Skillful Metal Bending, Intermediate.

Weapons/Instruments/Armor: Standard Metal Bending police equipment and uniform. However he only carries the spools and wires when he isn't on the job.

Personality: Eilram is serious, and tends to not enjoy jokes, jokers, and smartasses. He takes his duty seriously, and is always ready to do what it takes to bring down criminals. However he is not one for any kind of undercover work due to his strong sense of morality. If he sees something he thinks is wrong, he will almost always try to stop it if it is something he can handle. Although 'heroic' in some of his actions, he also contains a sense of 'scale'. If something is too big for him to handle by his force alone, he will find another way to stop it, or if necessary, will call in backup and wait. His desire to live a long healthy-ish life will outweigh his love of catching criminals. For Eilram understands that to stop crime and help others for a long time, he must live for a long time. Eilram, though tense on the clock, is a little more fun to be around when not at work. However, this only means he is more open to pranks and small practical jokes. Eilram is a rather pathetic leader, and tends to avoid being put in a leadership position whenever possible. His idea position is working as a 'Very Independent Underling.'

History: Born and raised in republic city, Eilram was raised as a member of the middle-class, his mother being a bender and his father not, his childhood let him at least understand a little bit what it was like to be either one. Or rather, his parents kept talking non-stop about how their childhoods were so different. Eilram didn't care as much as they thought he did, but they wouldn't stop even if they knew so silence on that topic was going to be impossible whether he wanted it to be that way or not. As a young child, he always adored the metal bending force after they had saved him from being bullied by a young neighboring fire-bender. He looked up to them and wanted to become one of them! However, he believed his desire would probably tire out as he grew up and he believed he would probably find a different calling.

But as he grew up, he realized that he had heard no other calling besides the police force. He was drawn to it like he was being pulled in by a powerful magnet. A magnet that he really wanted to be a part of. As he grew older, he had realized that if his mother played her cards right, she could potentially get him into the metal bending police academy. After a short conversation with his mother, she quickly used every trick she could pull and managed to get Eilram into the academy! Although his skills were not almost as great as they could have, his teachers commented to him about his Enthusiasm and growth potential, and how he would eventually become very powerful in the city if he performed well on the job. Eventually Eilram graduated and was quickly able to become a member of the republic city metal bending police force, where he used to reside, until he was relocated back to the city where he had learned how to bend properly.

Alright then just keep in mind we aren't in republic city. This is an entirely different city and with that background I assume your earth bending is pretty poor and that you specialize more in manipulating metal than earth like the boys in season three?

The wire bending and what not is useful but keep in mind you're going to be fighting people who can fling rather decent sized rocks, sling water, and shoot lightning at your face. Acrobatics and the like is a must to even handle that sort of thing unless your quick and can trip them up. A big part of bending is balance.

Alright, gotcha! So it would be alright if besides the wires he did also use most metal in general? So long as his basic earth bending skills are trashy? This is what you were thinking right?

I suppose but just remember metal bending full on is, while possible, a big handy cap since you need to touch most metals, note I say most, or have rather great concentration. The only worst thing is to be a water bending in this city after all it's almost a dry site based on Las Vegas Nevada. There's fountains and the like but most of it is not in large quantities or in mass. Fire and Earth Benders have a strong grip in this city.

At least you're making it easy on me. I have a special hatred for people who have a strong need to demand stuff for their character. It tends to happen often with me when I make roleplays unfortunately.

Was never my intention to piss you off. If it felt like I was attacking you with malice, that was never my intent. Just wanted to make sure you understood where I was coming from is all. This entire discussion was based off the concept of a big group which I pointed out was irrelevant since I opted to go a different route anyways. The topic however trudged on, so I continued for the sake of discussion. However, as a final word on the matter, I wasn't going for a big group with the intention of leveling city blocks - the big group thing only came up because you said I needed to RP multiple NPCs if I wanted to be a Pro-bender. And now that I think about it, it's not like the NPCs would've been vital to the RP as they'd mainly just be Hokkan's teammates for the sport. But again, all of that is completely irrelevant since I said I was going another direction. I was just carrying on with the discussion. Sorry for any miscommunication there.

You may have misread my cs, because I did not mention seven years in my cs. Hope we can put the confusion behind us and continue to have a fun RP here.

Hokkan is relatively close-lipped about how he ended up in Wu Xing as a Pro-bender six years ago, seldom acknowledging his past beyond fishing tales of his grandest triumphs over the rarest and biggest oddities of the sea. He spent several years Pro-bending under a relatively unknown team called The Mad Piranhas, winning several interim matches, but never had enough funding to enter the more prestigious Pro-bending tournaments.

The underlined part is what I'm asking you about.

Several is not seven, and as mentioned in his history, he's been bending long before he came to Wu Xing. Several is meant to say the time spent as a pro-bender before he stopped to pursue Water Rumble Tournaments. He doesn't Pro-bend anymore, just trains, so he's considered retired.

Name: Akihiro Hayashi
Nicknames: The Great Pyro
Gender: Male
Age: 16

Bending skills or fighting style: Mid Intermediate Fire Bending
Weapons/Instruments/Armor: He has a katana blade

Personality: Akihiro is very serious. Most of his time he likes to spend alone as he doesn't care much for other people since earlier in his life he lost his family. Though he hates everyone who chooses to abuse their power to hurt or take from other people. He is also not one to joke around or be around people who enjoy not taking things seriously. This led him to separate himself from society and live alone. Since he was raised in a relatively poor home, he prefers to help others as he has known the feeling of having nothing and no one and he thinks nobody else should have to feel that way.

History: Akihiro was born and raised in a small town by a low-class family. His mom was a non-bender and his dad was a fire bender so they lost most of their money from various benders abusing their power and taking their money as his dad wasn't a good enough fire bender to fight back. One day, at the age of 10, he was at school and he was being bullied by various kids. In a fit of rage, he, attempting to hit one of them, burnt them all. Since then, he knew he was a fire bender. When news of his new found powers reached his parents, they began looking for a fire bending teacher. When they finally found one, they spent what little money they had on Akihiro's fire bending lessons. Three years later, some benders showed up to collect money from them. When they saw that they had no money to give because of the fire bending lessons, they killed Akihiro's parents. Thanks to this, Akihiro went to live on the streets, doing small jobs to be able to eat something and keep alive.

Months after Akihiro's parents were killed, he encountered some people who told him that they had work for him, work that offered lots of money. Having nowhere else to go, Akihiro accepted their offer. When they arrived where Akihiro's work was, he saw that his work wasn't work, he was to become a mercenary and do jobs at people's requests, as a mercenary, he was trained by their beginner trainers, moving up to intermediate trainers who made him what he was today so he would be able to carry out the jobs. He worked for them for 3 years until his last job, he was to kill the people who murdered his parents. He eagerly went to exact his revenge, but once he did, he didn't feel good, he felt empty. After that, he didn't feel like this life was for him so he returned to the mercenary's headquarters and took just enough money to hold a decent life for a couple of months while he found an honest job that payed decently. So he took off to Wu Xing to start fresh and forget all about his past.

The personality section is not what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to be about his personality and the events that may or may not have effected. Most of it is history based. The literally ONLY part that defines him personally is the first four words.

Also while the history is good it's not suited for this roleplay. Even if it the assassin targets are the leaders of the crime gangs a cold blooded killer will get in trouble with the police....whom we're going to working to a rather decent extent. I simply don't know how to fit a killer of men into this roleplay that's supposed to be filled with people. The way I'm putting us all together in this roleplay is going to be with a bank heist. Also in the FAQ I specifically state the following:

5. This will be a little darker in the sense of a Dark Knight (Batman) sense where there will be violence and possibly death but not on a scale I hope to keep this true to the series and prevent character deaths if possible.

In other words I will not accept the character as he is. While there will be deaths and serious injuries in this roleplay I don't need a player character specifically made to be going out to go and murder people in the city for an elite group of assassins whatever be it.
