I'd say no to Trip/Avy. They're too...weird for this setting. Having ancient eldritch bloodlines invites too much of a possibility of random ancient conspiracies and of one character's background dominating the story. I would rather have the characters forge their own paths.

I mean, it might be interesting to have that around, but not if it drags everyone else into it. If Trip and Vincent have a duel to the death as representatives of Ra and Apophis, then I would like the option of ignoring them entirely as Alysis fights a duel to force some other student to return a library book.

Oh if I put Trip/Avy in I wouldn't do anything with his bloodline, it would just be another mage I wouldnt have to make from scratch making a Cameo. Vincent was only the avatar for Apophis because he was a fire mage who fell into his temple, which happened when he was 19 way later than this version of Cutler. But Ok none of that.

And who or what is Iggy's spawn.

Not a bad idea... but as I have it, Robert is the eldest. iggy couldn't handle the family man life and left when Rob was around 2. Robert has no clue who he is.
