Yo dude.
You like RPs?
You like figuring shit out?
You like NOT having a "plot-critical" NPC hold your hand through shit?
You like NOT having huge exposition shat on you?
You like high fantasy?
Dude.
This is the RP for you.
But it's full so, sorry man. Maybe if someone drops.
"But what's the world like?"
Seriously? Can't tell you. Part of the point of the RP is to explore the world. I'll be going into detail on the environments and will be open for questions if you want something clarified.
"And how will we know what the history or plot is?"
Talk to people. Every NPC you run into will have a story, a life, desires, loves, hates, etc. They won't immediately trust you with them, but they're there for you to talk with. Learn about the world by talking with them, or investigating your surroundings, or reading books (if you read a book a brief blurb on its contents will be given, while I'm willing to write up stuff for any given villager you talk to, I'm not going to write entire books from the point of view of someone writing a book in the setting).
"So how will we know we like the world unless you tell us what it is?"
Can't make a promise that you'll like it. I sure do, but I'm biased. The world is based off a combination of contemporary fantasy ideas, mythology from a breadth of cultures, and of course my 'original' twist to blend them together. Those more familiar with me know that I tend to spend far too much time reading about ancient cultures than one ought, so I've got some interesting ideas, concepts, practices, and more to draw on for this hodgepodge world. However, for the sake of making it approachable, it will still be presented as a medieval fantasy world. I want the players' characters to be able to function without having to tell the players a lot about the setting, so necessary steps and shit, man.
But for real? Get hype.
Let's do this.
