I'm a little confused as to where the head spike is meant to be on masulus. I thought it was just on the forehead, but if Shuo is resting his on his shoulder, is it curled or something? I looked back at the reference image and the closest I could garner from that if it was on that is that tail thing. Is that it?

The head spike comes from the back of the head, and is rather long, like a scorpion tail. (I think)

So uh Elite's internet is dead at his house so. Also as stated above it's a big segmented basically tail that gets bigger the closer you get to the head. The end is naturally sharp enough to pierce flesh but if you want one that can pierce bone you need to sharpen it. Then you can get a step further and start infusing it with what amounts to steroids and metal fragments.

Mkay. I can see that working. It wouldn't be bad for Shiva's health to have it kept cut short, would it?

Not at all. They do grow back, albeit a little faster than hair. Genetics also factor into length such as where on the homeworld Shiva originated. The ones closer to large bodies had bigger ones and bluer skin, trend continues like that till you have a set of genetics where the thing isn't much larger than a foot. Their purpose is to swim faster or stab things, the military doesn't regulate length as that wouldn't be at all fair. They take like 1-4 months to grow back depending on length and genetics and such.
