The esper was knocked down and Savayna, Jaakuna, and Wesley would see as Emiri and Nadeline would go in for their first attack. It went okay from their own perspective, but as their attacks would go in, Mateus would launch back with a Blizzaga to Emiri, to which it would hit her shoulder and send her flying into Nadeline. At this point, Jaakuna rushed over to Emiri just to make sure that she was alright. “Hey, you okay?” Jaakuna said as he would hover his right hand over Emiri’s shoulder as he would cast Curaga to ease the pain in her shoulder for at least a little bit.

While Jaakuna did that, the rest of the group were handing Mateus. The Esper would go in for an attack, which was quick. The spear came down to pierce Nadeline, but Wesley put his sword in a perpendicular position to parry off the beast’s attack. Though only successful for a short while, Wesley would then twist his body counterclockwise and slice the esper with a horizontal slash. The beast would again shriek in pain as it was definitely near defeat. “We’re almost there, just a little more.” Wesley said aloud.

Nadeline groaned, sitting up and rubbing her head. Emiri had hit her like a ton of bricks. She let out a gasp as Mateus converged on them, but with Wesley's timely arrival, it was pushed back. She let out a sigh of relief, then looked at Emiri. She seemed dazed, so to speak--Nadeline was sure that the Blizzaga was a critical hit.Of course it also hit her already wounded shoulder, no doubt she was in a lot of pain. As Jaakuna cast his Curaga over Emiri's shoulder, She asked her, "Emiri? Emiri, can you hear me?" Emiri let out an irritated groan of her own as she threw her head back. That wasn't a good sign at all. Still, the girl forced herself to stand, wobbling from side to side as she stood up.

"Stay here." Nadeline ordered Emiri, brandishing her own blade. She ran forward, concentrating intently. A white glyph appeared beneath Mateus, and at that point, Nadeline pointed her sword at the Esper. "Holy!" The brilliant white light converged onto Mateus, greatly damaging it.

Meanwhile, Emiri lagged behind, her sword still in hand but not quite at the ready. That Blizzaga had gotten the best of her, and as much as she didn't want to admit it, she was in a world of pain. She thought Jaakuna's Curaga would help, but it seemed her exhaustion had caught up to her.

After Jaakuna at least tried to get Emiri’s pain down to a bare minimum, he would make sure that she could stand. As she tried to, she wobbled a bit, going side-to-side in that type of motion, but she seemed to be able to stand. Jaakuna knew this wasn’t good. Jaakuna had to wonder what happened to her. Surely the curaga spell would have worked if it was just the damage from the Blizzaga spell. Jaakuna couldn’t place his finger on it, but something told him that there was more to her shoulder injury than she’s letting on for anyone to believe.

As Jaakuna makes sure Emiri is doing alright, the rest of the group focuses on Mateus. For the most part, the esper is near defeat. After the onslaught it had taken from all the five of them, it’s a miracle that it’s still standing. After the massive Holy spell that Nadeline gave it, it’s only a matter of time before it becomes defeated.

When Mateus would go for another attack, it was slowing in movements, which hinted just one more would do it. Just as Wesley was about to go in for the kill with a running, vertical slash, Savayna rushed past him. Her sword up, magickal energy surrounding it. She would then jump to the air, sword raised above her had. With the will of her soul, a wave of pure magickal energy was sent forth. A yell from Savayna would follow the wave of magickal energy and as Mateus would be overtaken by it, soon the esper would be gone from their sight and the glyph of Mateus would appear on Savayna’s hand as she would land on the ground. “Well, this is too fucking cool.” She said in an enlarged volume.

Jaakuna and Wesley saw as she pretty much took that Esper, but perhaps it was fitting. The esper of ice for the Ice Queen. It even made more sense that the Esper in question was Mateus, The Corrupt. “Now that that’s done, can we get the hell out of here now?” Jaakuna said as he would hold Emiri steady as she was still staggering a bit.

“I suppose we can. There isn’t much keeping us here” Wesley stated.

Nadeline let out a sigh of relief. The battle had been done, and Grant had not come after them yet. She sheathed her sword as looked to where Mateus once stood. Their business, however, was not finished, and she looked at Wesley. "I believe we need only to go through there." She pointed to the wall behind them as a set of doors slowly opened to reveal another room. "Quickly, let us take the gift and destroy the nethicite."

Emiri was now clinging to Jaakuna for support, if only to keep standing. There was a somewhat mysterious feeling coming from the room, and at the same time, she felt the Shards stirring in their places. Whatever bothered them was certainly in there. The feeling from the room was not a hostile one, however, and she guessed it had to do with whatever could destroy the stones.

As they defeated Mateus and all adjusted to this realziation, the group would head down through the door, and come into sight of a staircase. There were weird blue lights along the stairs and on top of the stairs themselves was a rotating specimen. It really was reminiscent of a clock. Or at least, how the gears in a clock work. Seen through the center of the main ‘gear’ was the Sword of Kings.

“This is the Dynast-King’s Blade — or otherwise known as the Sword of Kings.” Wesley spoke,

Jaakuna looked towards him, confused. [“So, this is the treasure of the shrine?” He asked.

“Aye” Wesley said nodding.

As Jaakuna heard that and Wesley reassured him, Savayna just looked like she couldn’t really care much about what they were talking about. She was much more concerned about whether or not that Grant and his little entourage would catch up to them before they can destroy the Dawn and Dusk Shards.

Jaakuna walked up to the weird gear things and he took out the Dusk Shard. As he held it closer to the gear-looking things, the piece of Defected Nethicite and the gears as well as the lights along the stairs started to react together. First the shard would glow, then the gears would glow and then the lights along the staircase. It wouldn’t before long that a path was cleared for the group to get to the Sword of Kings.

As they would walk through, specifically Jaakuna and Wesley, they both looked at each other. “This is it, Jaakuna.” Wesley said, and Jaakuna would respond “Yeah.” Jaakuna said as he walked forward and something happened. The sword would float and glide to the hand of Wesley. As Wesley put his hand out, the sword weighed down and a loud thud sound would be heard as it hit the ground.

"The Dynast King himself must have forseen the abuse of the nethicite." Nadeline stated as the sword came to Wesley's possession. "If so, let us test it, then. Destroy one of the shards. Make haste before we have any unwanted company." She urged him. They needed to be quick, while she hoped Aloa would not have told Grant of them, they were going to find out eventually. It was only a matter of time before the soldiers would converge on them. If they were going to destroy the Dawn and Dusk Shards, they needed to do it right now.

The brunette stared at the Sword of Kings. She was somewhat drawn to it, so to speak. Its power was eminent, comforting almost. She stared at it, thought the feeling of a rough Mist broke her trance. "The Shards...they are burning, trembling." Emiri said as she looked at the Sword of Kings. "They fear the sword. They fear its power...the sword is.the key to their demise, their grim reaper for their immortal life, so to speak." Truth be told, she had no idea how she actually knew any of this. The information just came to her. The Mist from Jaakuna's shard in particular was 'hissing' at the sword, like a cornered serpent.

Hearing all that Nadeline and Emiri had spoke, Jaakuna and Wesley both thought about the options. For Jaakuna, he was just thinking about what was going to happen should they destroy the shards. He definitely wanted to destroy them, but looking to Wesley, who thought that destroying them this way would be highly dangerous, Jaakuna just knew that destroying in such a barbaric way, it wouldn’t be safe, at least not for anyone in the group. However, when was Jaakuna or anyone else for that manner, going to get a chance like this again? Jaakuna couldn’t think up of one. “We have to do it.” Jaakuna said.

Wesley looked towards Jaakuna, looking to his eyes. Wesley saw Jaakuna’s resolve. “You should be the one to do it.” Wesley said offering up the Sword of Kings to Jaakuna.

Jaakuna looked at Wesley, like he couldn’t believe that he was actually offering him the sword. Jaakuna took the sword in a two-handed grip. Wesley would put the Dawn Shard down on a steel table. He would then hold the sword above his head and the shard started to bleed mist. Just as Emiri had pointed out, the shards fear the sword as it acts as a Grim Reaper of sorts to their immortal life. Jaakuna hesitated slightly. He wanted to do it, but could he? That was the million gil question.

Breathing in and out, Jaakuna sliced downward, hitting the Dawn Shard square dab in the middle and then the mist flew out into Jaakuna. The sensation was first powerful, nothing like Jaakuna has ever felt before. He felt invigorated by the mist. His power just above anything else he ever had before. He was able to hold the Sword of Kings in one hand, swinging it like a dagger, but after a few minutes of feeling like this, the mist overtook his thoughts, his mind, and eventually, it was too much for him. Without even a moments notice, Jaakuna fell to the ground. The thud from his body plopping on the ground and his body itself made different sounds. Jaakuna’s eyes were open, mouth open, and he wasn’t moving.

“JAAKUNA!” Wesley called out kneeling down to Jaakuna, shaking him, but as soon as he touched Jaakuna, a repelling shocking sensation was sent through Wesley’s fingers. The mist was rejecting Wesley, but that’s not all. Wesley would inspect Jaakuna without touching him and it would seem that Jaakuna was in a mist-induced coma.

When Savayna saw that Jaakuna was no only knocked the fuck out, but that he wasn’t moving, she couldn’t move either. She didn’t know what this was, but it was like three years ago all over again. She didn’t even know what to think right now, but she didn’t have time to think or feel about this right now. The soldiers were probably heading to their exact location soon and they had to get the hell out of the temple as soon as they could.

As the Dawn Shard was destroyed, the Mist that had been collected in it over the years poured on out. Seeking a place of refuge, it decided to take refuge within Jaakuna. For a split second, it was as if the entire world froze around them, and then it happened. He fell, eyes closed, Mist emanating from his body. Emiri slowly sank to her knees, completely shocked. What had happened? Why did it happen? What had gone wrong? As she watched Wesley reach out to him, she was about to warn him not to touch him, but it seemed the Mist beat her to it.

Nadeline opened her mouth to speak, but the sound of armor beat her to it. What now? Destroy the other shard and risk whatever had happened to Jaakuna to happen to one of them? Or take both the Shard and Sword and flee? Did they even have any time to flee? How close were they? What effect did the Mist have on Jaakuna? Was there any way to save him? Her mind buzzed with many questions, and she had to stop for a moment. With Jaakuna the way he was, would they even be able to escape? She looked at Wesley, then at Emiri, then at Savayna.

Taking in a deep breath, she withdrew her sword and pointed it at Savayna. "There is no way out of this. With Jaakuna in this state, we cannot hope to help him at this moment." She said, a very serious look on her face.

Emiri looked at the blonde in disbelief. Why was she pointing her weapon at Savayna? They needed to escape! "Nadeline, what in the world are you doing?" She asked, eyes wide with disbelief.

"They still aren't aware of Savayna's betrayal. We use that to our advantage to get out of here alive." She spoke without looking at her, eyes still on Savayna. "Grant wants the Espers. I know where to find them. As long as we have that piece of information we have something over him. He is a fool who wants only power. I give him the locations and he will not harm anyone."

"Are you mad?!"

"The soldiers are near. You can hear it as well, can you not?" She asked. "We cannot possibly evade them, fighting our way out is suicide. Unless you have any better idea, in which case I am all ears."

Tensions were rising since Jaakuna collapsed and went into the supposed mist-induced coma. Nadeline had straight lost her mind. She pulled her sword out on Savayna and as the ice queen looked on, slightly amused, she heard every word that Nadeline would say about the situation everyone finds themselves in, about how she plans on turning Savayna into Grant and in exchange for her, Emiri’s, and Wesley’s life, she will give him the location to all of the espers. At this point, Savayna was both livid and overwhelmed with amusement.

As Nadeline said all of that, Wesley just couldn’t believe what he was hearing. First off, he just couldn’t believe that Nadeline would even consider something like that, not to mention how incredibly foolish it was. Secondly, Wesley didn’t understand where all of this came from. Wesley was pretty damn sure that Nadeline wanted to stay free or was that just some lie that she told in the moment? “Nadeline, listen to yourself. You’re saying you’re going to give the enemy the locations to every esper and for what? To live? Don’t you see they will just send you back to Rozarria for this. Do you not wish to see the world in all of its glory?” By the time Wesley was speaking, he had came between Nadeline’s blade and Savayna.

When Wesley stepped in front of Nadeline’s sword and herself, Savayna was a little angry. It wasn’t cause of Wesley trying to get through to Nadeline, but just how fucking stupid the blonde princess was being. Savayna would have thought of all people that she would know how truly evil Grant is. If Savayna, someone who had only known him for a day, hated him, Savayna was entirely shocked that Nadeline would even consider such an option.

“Listen here princess, I understand what you’re trying to do, truly I do, but you’re completely fucking stupid.” Savayna said, walking closer to Nadeline and proceeded to push Wesley aside. “Look over to Jaakuna and then back to me, now back to Jaakuna, and back to me.” She said, “You see that? Your friend is unconscious. For all we know he could die! DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT!? OR DO YOU SIMPLY DON‘T CARE!?” She yelled proceeding to grab her hand that is holding her sword. “You don’t like me, I see that much, but what about miss prissy-pants? Surely you love her or at least think highly of her? She loves that stupid jerk on the ground and I can guarantee you that if you tell Grant anything, those two will never see each other again, you’ll never see them again,” Savayna said as she proceeded to punch Nadeline with a right hook. “So come back to planet Ivalice, you dumb bitch.

Emiri couldn't believe what was happening. She didn't understand Nadeline at all. Had she finally lost her mind? At the same time, however, she couldn't see a way out of this. Even if Nadeline was right in there being no escape, she was pretty sure Grant wouldn't spare them anyway. Why was she doing this? They needed to fight the enemy, not with one another! As Wesley and Savayna tried reasoning (with two different tactics, mind you) she couldn't help but look at Jaakuna. Why did this have to happen now? How would they get out of this? To Emiri's surprise, Nadeline was hit by Savayna's punch, but she knew that look on her face: she let her do it. "Stop it!" She called out to them.

"How irrational, general, you're actually starting to sound like a human being instead of the cold hearted witch you are so famed for." Nadeline replied somewhat mockingly. "I repeat myself once more: there is no way out of this and if you have a better idea I am all ears." With that she wrenched her sword hand free, and charged for an attack.

There was no getting through to Nadeline. As she try as she might, Savayna couldn’t get through to Nadeline..or did she? As Savayna looked at Nadeline, she saw something different in her eyes and in her movements. The blonde princess was scared, Savayna could see that as plain as the light in midday. Even when she spoke the words out of her mouth, Savayna could tell that Nadeline was scared out of her mind and that giving into Grant was probably the only thing that made sense. However, Nadeline still went in for an attack. It was weak, without form, and just pathetic.

As she came in for it, savayna sidestepped, grabbing Nadeline’s arm, twisting it behind her back, and then Savayna gripped it tightly. She would then ram Nadeline into the wall, but stop just in time to avoid any real damage. “I get it that you don’t know what to do. If I were in your shoes, I would probably do the same thing, but think about your friends. Do you really want to just throw in the towel just cause the odds seem impossible to beat? Trust me, I know more than anyone the price of the situation we are in.” Savayna said, surprising herself as she spoke to Nadeline. “If you really want to tell Grant about everything, then that will mean turning your back on your friends. You’ll have to betray them right in the back and forever be known as the woman they hate the most.” She grimly told Nadeline. “I’ll let go of your arm, but you’ll have to make a choice. Either you can fight with us and stand by your friends or you can walk out that door and betray everything that you ever cared about and know that everyone in this room will never forgive you?” Savayna said as she slowly walked away from Nadeline, releasing her arm from her tight grip.

The blonde haired girl stared at Savayna as she was released, though she calmly picked up her rapier and sheathed it. "You talk a lot." Nadeline stated simply as she crossed her arms. "By the way, I still haven't heard this brilliant escape plan of yours."

Emiri let out a sigh of relief that she apparently had been holding since the entire confrontation had began. She still didn't understand Nadeline's actions, but she did have a point. Savayna had convinced her otherwise, but in a sense Nadeline was right: they weren't going to be able to sneak out, they weren't going to be able to fight their way out, her power wasn't working so they couldn't use that either. So then...what were they going to do? She looked at Wesley, then at Jaakuna,

Now that she was finally calmed down, Savayna, along with Wesley would try to address how they would get out of the Stilshrine with as little encounter of the enemy as possible. If they were to go straight out the way they came, it would be suicide, that much Savayna can admit and while everyone stays quiet, Wesley speaks.

“What about Jaakuna’s airship?” He says. Savayna looks to Wesley smiling. “Well how about that, you actually have brains under that thick set of hair.” She says laughing.

Though the idea just came up, Savayna considers it and even if they were somehow able to get the Ifrit to their location, the how is the main concern. “So, how exactly will we do this, oh great prince?” Savayna says mockingly. Wesley looks at her and smiles. “Jaakuna had a transmitter of sorts on his clothing. We simply press it and speak the AI aboard his ship.” He offers up.

Savayna is impressed. She didn’t know Jaakuna came up with a transmitter for his ship. “Fine, since it was your idea, you do it handsome.” She says winking to Wesley.

Wesley goes over to Jaakuna and even though the mist repels his touch, he endures the pain and the burning sensation. He presses Jaakuna’s jacket around the left shoulder and speaks into it. “Hello, Iris? Can you hear me.”

“Yes, Master Wesley. What can I help you with?”
“Jaakuna and the rest of us are stuck in the Stilshrine of Miriam. We need you to get here as fast as you can, but be wary of an enemy airship just outside.”
“Acknowledged. Any other information I need to calculate into the trip?”
“Discretion is key.”
“Acknowledged. Course set for Stilshrine of Miriam. Activating Invisibility cloak as per request of Master Jaakuna’s codeword of Discretion. Fifteen minutes out from destination. Deadly force enabled.”

After hearing that, Wesley stands up, holding his right hand, obviously burned from the mist. “Okay, now we just have to hold out for fifteen minutes.” Wesley said as he goes to Nadeline. “I understand you’re worried, but we need to stick together on this, it’s the only way of surviving and staying free.” He said, placing a hand along Nadeline’s shoulder, reassuring her that they will get out of this together.

Fifteen minutes was not usually a long time, but when the time ticks, it would seem like an eternity. Especially when in said time, you needed to both escape a place and simultaneously avoid the enemy. There weren't many options at this point, but staying put presented the least chance of staying safe. As Wesley put his hand on her shoulder, Nadeline had half a mind to smack it away. Despite being 'calm' (read: resisting every urge to smack the stupid smirk off of Savayna's face) she wasn't exactly happy with him, either. It was more of a by product of being pissed off at Savayna rather then actually being upset with him, but once Nadeline's temper was inflamed very little could be done to simmer it.

"No, actually, staying together is not how we will survive." She replied, unsheathing her sword once more. "I propose we split up."

Emiri stood up from next to Jaakuna, mirroring Nadeline's movements. "This I can agree with." She stated. She felt somewhat invigorated; she was able and ready to fight. "Perhaps Nadeline, Wesley and I could provide a distraction of sorts? I think Savayna's ice may help with Jaakuna's...situation. It's easiest to evade the enemy as we are able to slip through them, maybe find a way out?"

For just a brief moment, there was silence. It wasn’t the good kind either. Wesley could feel the coldness in the air, but not from Savayna. He could feel it from Nadeline. Whatever went off in her mind, it was felt through him and the entire room, but Wesley decided not to address it more than it already has. Besides, the entire grouped agreed that they would have to stick together by means of going into the fray together and splitting up will just have to be the thing that they would all have to do.

When Emiri made the comment about the group going in two separate ways, Wesley agreed. Savayna, even though she wanted to protest, she also agreed mentally that it was the best solution. Wesley and the girls would go out of the room and Savayna would stay with Jaakuna. It was pretty bold of any of them to trust Savayna with Jaakuna, but it’s not like she hasn’t already proven that she at least wants to be on their side. Perhaps it was just too early for Savayna to earn their trust.

In the room, Savayna just turns her gaze to Jaakuna, looking only slightly angry. “What were you thinking you fool? At the cost of preventing anyone from getting the Nethicite, you nearly killed yourself. Who knows when you’ll get out of this coma?” She says just looking at him, and she’s starting to get emotional. That’s when Savayna wipes away a tear and she would focus her attention on protecting Jaakuna from anybody who would dare approach him. In response to that, she would create a very thick wall of ice around Jaakuna’s unconscious body to prevent anyone from even trying to get to him. Even if they got into the room, Savayna would unleash cold fury upon their asses.

Meanwhile, Wesley and the girls are running around the temple just looking for an alternative exit. Wesley wanted to speak, but he really didn’t know what to say in this situation. So, he would just keep his mouth shut and hope that an exit would appear to them soon.

The trio moved in silence, for the most part. Like Wesley, Emiri wished to say something, but was at a loss for words. She didn't want to leave Jaakuna in all honesty, but she knew they needed to find a way out. Once they were out, once they were on the Ifrit, then she could help him. Right now, as they were, she could not do anything for him, even if she tried. And so she followed Nadeline, though she was not sure how the girl was holding up. She was not used to it being so quiet, though. One could probably cut the tension with a knife, and it was all radiating from Nadeline, of all people.

She didn't understand, she was just as frightened and worried too, but Nadeline just became...so distant. She was right there next to them physically, but it felt like she was miles away from them. She wished she could go back to how she usually was, but she knew that wasn't an option at the moment. For now, she would just make sure they found a way out. For all their sakes. Yet, this resolve would be tested once they reached a fork. Obviously, it was either go left or right; she couldn't quite recall which way they came from, either. The place was just too big and maze-like. Maybe that was why they had yet to encounter any soldiers.

"Continue with Wesley. I will go this way." Nadeline instructed them, moving forward to the left path.

At this point Emiri took her wrist, halting her. "We shouldn't wander too far from one another, what if you get attacked?" She asked her, clearly worried.

Nadeline yanked her hand back, glaring at Emiri. "I can take care of myself just fine, thank you very much." She snapped back, clearly angry.

"Naddie, please, stop being like this!" She begged her. "We have to stick together now, I don't want anything happening to you, too! I can't...Just go back to how you usually are! I can't stand to see you like this!"

Emiri's words seemed to have struck something within her. The blonde haired girl turned away from the two at this point. "Like what?" She asked. "Forgive me. I didn't mean to upset you." She replied quietly, looking back at them. "I was...just trying to be pragmatic."

"This isn't like you at all. What is wrong?"

Nadeline shook her head. "Nothing. Let's keep moving."

When silence broke, Emiri and Nadeline spoke. It started with Nadeline pretty much ordering both Emiri to go one way with Wesley while she would go off on her own. Wesley was starting to wonder if today’s events took their toll on her more than she was letting on. The more she would act out of her usual self, the more it worried not only Wesley, but Emiri too; she especially was worried. Perhaps the reason she’s so worried is cause of what happened to Jaakuna or perhaps just everything happening. Whatever it was, Wesley didn’t like it.

When Nadeline and Emiri went back and forth with their mini-argument, Wesley wanted to speak, give in his thoughts, but he couldn’t. Or maybe he wouldn’t. Perhaps he felt it wasn’t his place to speak, at least not yet. When he tried to comfort Nadeline before, she pretty much rejected him from doing so. So, maybe Wesley just needs to give her time. When Wesley would think about what had all happened in recent hours, Nadeline and Emiri would have had finished their little argument to a point where Nadeline would forget about splitting up.

Continuing down the path that they were on, Wesley just looked at his surroundings, hoping to see a way out. While the trio would continue, there was something that stuck out to him. “Wait a minute you two.” He spoke, stopping. Wesley spotted something to the left. It was a turn, yes, but something stuck out to Wesley. He saw little beams of light, but there was more to that. It would seem there was a Golem Monster at the edge of the turn, but right behind him is where the beams of light are coming from. “I believe we have just found our way out.” Wesley said, The turn itself was like any other turn within the Stilshrine, but the Golem was blocking a side entrance it would seem. Wesley would lead the two ladies to the Golem Monster. Lady Luck has truly shined her light upon them finally.

"The gods enjoy toying with us today, it seems--shifting our fates from being cruel to being merciful." Nadeline noted, quirking an eyebrow at the opportunity before them. "We must make haste with this beast."

Emiri nodded in agreement, though she didn't get her hopes up yet. There was still the manner of actually beating it. While she didn't think it would be too much of an issue to take it down, she didn't want to alert the soldiers to their location. Still, it was a chance she was willing to take--and so, after beckoning the other two, Emiri went in for the attack. She went straight for one of the legs, slicing her sword horizontally, only to be met with some resistance. A lot of resistance. It was like striking a giant boulder! Her body shook a bit in an almost comical way, and her hands slightly hurt after that. Magic will probably be more effective. She mentally chided herself.

Nadeline seemed to have picked up her hint, holding her free hand out. A green glyph appeared beneath Wesley. "Faith!" She cast her spell, enchancing his magical power.

The trio turned the corner, golem came into sight. All agreed with each other that they would defeat this thing with no hassle. Just to make that go over more smoother, Nadeline cast a white magic spell known as Faith on Wesley. He felt the light flow into him and for some reason he felt that his magickal prowess was increasing. As each second went by, he could feel his potential of his magick just going over what it was previously. He felt invigorated by this spell and as a result, he went forth with his Platinum sword sheathed and ready to fight with all of his might.

Going forth, Wesley ran towards the Golem. The monster saw Wesley coming. It sped towards the Dalmascan Prince. The Golem would propel itself into the air by manipulating the spell known as Gravity, to which it was airborne and it would come down for a literal body slam. Wesley saw the beast coming a mile away. Wesley would raise his sword, inputting Darkra into it and his blade would turn pitch black. As he would swing upward, he would speak “Darkra!” As he said that, a wave of black magickal energy would be sent forth and the beast would take the full force of the attack. As the attack would hit the Golem, it would first lose connectivity to one of its long legarms, and then it would crash on the ground, bleeding brown blood. In the state it was in now, it would only take one more attack like that one to take the beast down fully.

As Wesley struck the Golem with his magically enhanced blade, Emiri waited for her chance. It appeared when the Golem collapsed to the ground. At the same time, Nadeline prepared another spell: "Bravery!" She called. As the magic sang through the air, it wrapped itself around Emiri's sword. She waved it back at Nadeline as a form of thanks, then turned to the nearly defeated monster before them. She ran at the beast, and right before it spun around, gaining momentum. With a might strike, her sword--previously defeated by its shell--now pierced right through it, and with her slash, the monster fell to her blade.

Emiri let out a sigh of relief, though held her sword up in victory. It was certainly durable; she was sure her Longsword would have broken under the stress, but the Diamon Sword in her hand still glimmered, as if acknowledging her thoughts. She turned to her comrades, a grin bearing on her face as she sheathed her weapon. "Let's return to Savayna now." She said brightly, placing her hands on her hips. "By the time she comes with Jaakuna, I'm sure the Ifrit will be awaiting us."

Nadeline sheathed her weapon as well, letting out a small sigh of relief. As she looked to the exit, she hoped it would be that simple.
