Hearing her say that she only heard the outbursts that Jaakuna and Savayna had back on the Ark. Jaakuna was half-relieved that’s all she heard, but that also meant that Jaakuna would have to tell her all of it. He wanted to tell her, especially after what has all happened between the two of them in the last twenty-four hours. Jaakuna would turn his body to face Emiri. He would take a deep breath, and he would just speak.
“Before I tell you what exactly happened with my father and I, you first need to know exactly what led up to it.” He said looking down and then back up. “Back when I was a young boy, I met the princess of a The two of us instantly clicked. Our families were good friends. Or rather, the royal family of Darcone--” Jaakuna paused. Saying that name put a sour taste in his mouth. ”--and the royal family of Glacie were well acquinted with one another. Politically, they supported together, helped each other to get to the highest point of their respective nations.” Jaakuna said as his voice almost seemed nostalgic. He never realized how much he really remembered and how much he really was an Archadian. It just hit him at the moment he started to speak. “The two families would get to a point where my family — mostly my father and grandfather — were planning a very secretive and back-stabbing plan to take over the land that belonged to the Glacie house. It was a brutal plan, but it did not go through. To prevent such a thing, my parents and her parents agreed to marry us. Unifying the two houses would deeply furthered the reach of the Archadian Empire in the north.” Jaakuna continued to speak.
As Jaakuna would soon realize how much his family were twisted, it angered him. Everything about how they operated and how they would go about things made him so angry right down to his very core. “Savayna and I got married. I was twenty-one and she was at the late-teen age of nineteen.” Jaakuna seemed to have a smile on his face. “I hate to admit it — especially to you — but this was at a time of when I was truly happy. At least, until now, of course. You see, Emiri, I was never a guy who never thought of settling down or even consider the notion of marriage.” He said laughing at how pathetic he sounded. “Even though my marriage to her was arranged, I made the most of it. And for two years, I actually found my happiness, but of course, everything changed one day.” Jaakuna’s voice got low again.
Jaakuna looked up as his head was down. He looked to Emiri, eyes gleaming of regret. “When my father called my brother, Vincent, and myself to his office, he was to appoint me as his heir, at least that’s what I thought. It would seem that he had other ideas. For some reason I never got to ask him, he named my little brother as his heir. I’m not going to lie, I really wanted to have the title of Emperor. I mean, it has a nice ring to it right? Emperor Jackson Tunick Darcone.” Jaakuna laughed, but it was one of pity for himself. “I asked him why, and without any warrant of reason, he stated cause I was married to a whore like Savayna. That I didn’t understand. Was there something I didn’t know about her? Or did my father really hate me that much? I fear I’ll never get to ask him.” Jaakuna couldn’t stop them from coming. Tears, flowing down from his eyes went down his face and onto his sheets. He would speak, but emotions were overtaking clear speech. “I punched my own father, and he fell to his death. I-I-I just don’t know what came over me. Maybe then, the reason I killed him was cause of my then feelings for Savayna, but now, I just..I don’t know.” At this point, Jaakuna hit his bed with both of his fists as they were in a position similar to how people play Rock-Paper-Scissors.
Jaakuna had finished telling the story. After a minute of pounding his bed, Jaakuna spoke. “So now you know the whole story.” Jaakuna pity laughed at himself. “If you want to leave, I wouldn’t blame you.”
