When Emiri started to tell him what her dream was about, it first started to make sense. Granted, Jaakuna hated that she was going through this and that her nightmare had Grant in it, but it still made sense. However, as she would tell him the rest of it, Jaakuna began to raise an eyebrow and began to become puzzled. Why would she have a nightmare about Jaakuna killing her? Or a better question that Jaakuna must ask himself is why would he be depicted as the villain and not the hero? This was definitely something that perplexed Jaakuna.

Jaakuna looked at her, confused as all hell. By this point, she had put her head between her knees. Jaakuna would place a hand on her leg as if to just comfort her. “Listen, whatever it was — it was a dream and nothing more. “ He said as he proceeded to lift her head up gently. He would kiss her once. “Yesterday was a stressful day for us all. It’s no wonder that you had such a bad dream, but you have to know it was just that, okay?” He said kissing her once more. After a few moments of that, Jaakuna would look at her. “Let’s go down to the kitchen, okay?” Jaakuna said. “Or we can stay in bed for a while longer.”

Just a dream, huh? Yes, that was right. That had just been a figment of her imagination, that much she understood. Then why did it make her feel so uneasy? Jaakuna was right: yesterday had been one hell of a day. And as he kissed her, for a brief moment, she recalled when Grant kissed her. She felt so guilty, so terrible, she wished it would just go away. Yet when he kissed her again, she could feel some of her uneasiness go away. She was safe. As long as Jaakuna was around, she would be safe. He wasn't like Grant. He wasn't like him at all--he would never do anything to hurt her, right? As he suggested their next action, she contemplated the options. She had no idea what time it was, but if Nadeline had yet to kick down the door to wake her up, she was sure it couldn't be too late.

Emiri stretched her arms out, letting out a little squeal of pleasure as she felt her shoulders unstiffen slightly. She then put a hand on her shoulder, looking at Jaakuna. She didn't feel much like getting up. With a small yawn, she plopped back down on the bed, laying on her back. Yesterday, huh? She didn't want to beat a dead horse, but there were two things they still had to talk about. Well, technically one thing, the other one was something she needed to say to him. Taking in a deep breath, she put her arm over her eyes, covering them.

"I have to ask. Did you really...did you really kill your father...for her?" She spoke. "I mean it's...none of my business, but I thought I would ask."

Jaakuna would take her silence as a yes as Emiri would lay down on the bed. It would seem that there’s more on her mind than just the bad dream that she just woke up from. Jaakuna would meet her gaze as he laid down beside her. She would place her arm over her eyes as if she was trying to get something out but it was hard for her to do so. After a moment or so, she would ask him a question and boy was it one for the money. She would ask Jaakuna if he really did kill his father for Savayna. Right about then, Jaakuna’s heart began to race, pumping faster than it ever did before. He knew this was going to come along since yesterday. He knew she heard when he and Savayna talked about it.

As Jaakuna breathed in deeply, he would exhale that breath. “I guess you heard huh?” What a stupid response. Of course she heard and even worse, she knew it all. Well, at least the initial parts. What she didn’t know was the ‘what’ and ‘why’. She only knew the base fact of it all. Jaakuna was starting to sweat, but he turned his head to meet Emiri’s eyes. “Yeah, I killed him for Savayna, but..”He said, pausing. “..you don’t know the whole story behind it.” Jaakuna said. His voice was distant and full of regret. Or at least something like that. Jaakuna sat up. As he did that, he turned his head to Emiri. “How much of it did you hear?”

For a moment, Emiri somewhat regretted asking. It was a touchy subject for sure, but she did not want to assume anything, she just wanted the truth. Besides, she had already made up her mind that no matter what, she would stay by him anyway. She may as well hear the complete version from him rather then a corrupted version from anyone else. She also wanted to know his feelings on the matter, what it meant, if he regretted it, and if this was what made him the man who he is today. He wanted to know what she had heard. She didn't hear much, but she was sure his outburst was pretty much heard by everyone.

"I only heard you tell her that you did it for her. That your father did not make you Emperor because of your marriage to her." Emiri told him, scratching her cheek. "I know you and her probably said things before and after, but I did not hear them."

Hearing her say that she only heard the outbursts that Jaakuna and Savayna had back on the Ark. Jaakuna was half-relieved that’s all she heard, but that also meant that Jaakuna would have to tell her all of it. He wanted to tell her, especially after what has all happened between the two of them in the last twenty-four hours. Jaakuna would turn his body to face Emiri. He would take a deep breath, and he would just speak.

“Before I tell you what exactly happened with my father and I, you first need to know exactly what led up to it.” He said looking down and then back up. “Back when I was a young boy, I met the princess of a The two of us instantly clicked. Our families were good friends. Or rather, the royal family of Darcone--” Jaakuna paused. Saying that name put a sour taste in his mouth. ”--and the royal family of Glacie were well acquinted with one another. Politically, they supported together, helped each other to get to the highest point of their respective nations.” Jaakuna said as his voice almost seemed nostalgic. He never realized how much he really remembered and how much he really was an Archadian. It just hit him at the moment he started to speak. “The two families would get to a point where my family — mostly my father and grandfather — were planning a very secretive and back-stabbing plan to take over the land that belonged to the Glacie house. It was a brutal plan, but it did not go through. To prevent such a thing, my parents and her parents agreed to marry us. Unifying the two houses would deeply furthered the reach of the Archadian Empire in the north.” Jaakuna continued to speak.

As Jaakuna would soon realize how much his family were twisted, it angered him. Everything about how they operated and how they would go about things made him so angry right down to his very core. “Savayna and I got married. I was twenty-one and she was at the late-teen age of nineteen.” Jaakuna seemed to have a smile on his face. “I hate to admit it — especially to you — but this was at a time of when I was truly happy. At least, until now, of course. You see, Emiri, I was never a guy who never thought of settling down or even consider the notion of marriage.” He said laughing at how pathetic he sounded. “Even though my marriage to her was arranged, I made the most of it. And for two years, I actually found my happiness, but of course, everything changed one day.” Jaakuna’s voice got low again.

Jaakuna looked up as his head was down. He looked to Emiri, eyes gleaming of regret. “When my father called my brother, Vincent, and myself to his office, he was to appoint me as his heir, at least that’s what I thought. It would seem that he had other ideas. For some reason I never got to ask him, he named my little brother as his heir. I’m not going to lie, I really wanted to have the title of Emperor. I mean, it has a nice ring to it right? Emperor Jackson Tunick Darcone.” Jaakuna laughed, but it was one of pity for himself. “I asked him why, and without any warrant of reason, he stated cause I was married to a whore like Savayna. That I didn’t understand. Was there something I didn’t know about her? Or did my father really hate me that much? I fear I’ll never get to ask him.” Jaakuna couldn’t stop them from coming. Tears, flowing down from his eyes went down his face and onto his sheets. He would speak, but emotions were overtaking clear speech. “I punched my own father, and he fell to his death. I-I-I just don’t know what came over me. Maybe then, the reason I killed him was cause of my then feelings for Savayna, but now, I just..I don’t know.” At this point, Jaakuna hit his bed with both of his fists as they were in a position similar to how people play Rock-Paper-Scissors.

Jaakuna had finished telling the story. After a minute of pounding his bed, Jaakuna spoke. “So now you know the whole story.” Jaakuna pity laughed at himself. “If you want to leave, I wouldn’t blame you.”

It was interesting, hearing his tale. She understood him a little better, so to speak. Still, it was quite the story, it was unlike anything she had ever heard before. It almost felt like he was making it up, so to speak, but that was out of the question. It was the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Seeing him tear up like that, however, made her wish she didn't ask. She had questions, but she wanted to let him finish, and as he kept talking, most of them were answered anyway. Once he was finished, she let out a long, low whistle. What was the appropriate thing to say after hearing something like that?

"Why would I leave?" She found herself saying without really thinking about it. She paused for a moment, taking in a breath as she sat up. "That admission seemed to affect Savayna a lot. She came to me afterwards...I was sure she was going to maim me, but instead she asked me if I loved you." She looked at him out of the corner of her eye. "Maybe that's why she changed sides."

Jaakuna was feeling all sorts of ways at the current moment. He was feeling pity for himself as he thought just saying all of this made him less of a man in Emiri’s eyes. Perhaps that’s why he said that if she left, he wouldn’t blame her, but her response was what shocked him. Well, not wholeheartedly, but it came to a slight shock. Then when she said about Savayna coming to her after Jaakuna and Savayna had their talk, Jaakuna listened intently. When Emiri said that Savayna had asked Emiri whether or not she loved him. Jaakuna’s eyes were widened, blinking out of pure shock. ]

She asked her that? Why? Jaakuna found himself thinking that in his head over and over again. Then, as he would just think about that more and more, curiosity took possession of his words and it spoke. “So, what did you say?” He said almost like the curious cat that got killed. His body upward, legs crossed and hands inbetween them. He had a semi-innocent look as he would ask Emiri that question. He truly wanted to know, but maybe he slightly feared what her answer would be.

That certainly got his attention. She kept her melancholy expression, but on the inside she was as giddy as a giggling schoolgirl. His expression gave him away, and for once she actually felt like she was the one in control, just this once. She put on a more serious face, crossing her arms against her chest as she thought about. This would stretch on as she would pretend to think, though after a while she would uncross her arms and look at him directly. This was her mistake: he had been staring so intently at her that her more serious demeanor shattered like a glass hitting the floor. She bit her lip, trying not to smile, but that was a losing battle.

"Not telling." She stated triumphantly, smiling broadly. "Unless you really, really want to know."

Her playful tone masked the rather intense beating of her heart. She was actually nervous somewhat. She did want to admit it, but she hesitated. It was just such an intimate thing, and even though it had been easy to admit it to a general who probably wanted to cut her head off it was much more difficult admitting it to his face. But she wanted to say it. She did.

Jaakuna wanted to know and he wanted to know badly. The suspense of the entire moment and what she told Savayna was killing him. Why wouldn’t she tell him? Perhaps she got a sick thrill of keeping him on the edge like this. Or perhaps, there was something more than she was leading on. Regardless of what it is, Jaakuna would find out, but how should he go about it? Should he use the sexual attraction between them to squeeze it out of her or should he use a different approach? That is something that Jaakuna is considering as he stares at her so intently and with serious eyes.

“Oh come on, just tell me.” Jaakuna said as his voice was dragging on. “Do you want me to beg? Cause I will.”

Emiri didn't want to admit it, but she was somewhat enjoying this. She briefly recalled when he had teased her way back when, so revenge felt somewhat sweet. At the same time, she was just perhaps avoiding the question. How was she supposed to just up and admit it to him? It made her feel on edge, somewhat. His staring did not help at all, either. She deliberately avoided his eyes, trying not to get caught under them again. This proved difficult, and unfortunately for her, she accidentally looked at him. She cursed herself mentally, and her face flushed a bright red as she let out a small cough. Oh, there it is again. Her heart was probably racing, but she couldn't think too much at the moment.

"You...don't have to beg." She mumbled, somewhat embarrassed as she blushed under his intense gaze.

“I ain’t too proud to beg.”

Jaakuna was doing it, on his knees as he stood up. Though, begging meant the person would have to be at a lower height than the persont hat they are begging too. However, as it would be in this moment, Jaakuna was clearly at a taller height than Emiri. Still, his eyes were of puppy-dog eyes, and he would just playfully smile as he was actually enjoying himself. He found himself finding it hard not to laugh, but he was. Jaakuna was smiling like an idiot and he was being a n idiot, but that’s how Jaakuna was most of the time.

Jaakuna would stop his false-begging as he pretty much was being a dumbass. He would sit back down on his knees. He would then get a very stupid idea. He would get on all fours and crawl closer to Emiri. It would get to the point where she was back first against the bed and Jaakuna was hovering over her. At this point, Jaakuna’s heart was racing as was hers because he could hear her heart. Funny thing though, he wasn’t even touching her, not really. He was using his core strength to hold himself over her. She was teasing him, so he would return the favor. All the while he was doing this, Jaakuna was smiling, but this was more of a seductive, teasing smile. Jaakuna would lower his head in wave motion as he his mouth was mere inches away from the left side of her neck.

Emiri bit her lip, trying not to laugh at Jaakuna's begging. His begging needed some work because she was not buying it for a second. He seemed to have taken the hint, as he did stop. Instead he began crawling towards her. As he got closer, she inched away a bit. Closer and closer, and she let out a small gasp as she fell backwards onto the bed. There he was, hovering over her, and she looked up right at him. He wasn't touching her, but she could feel the heat from his body on her skin. She felt somewhat dizzy in this heated passion, though when she thought he had done his worst, he lowered his head to her neck. She didn't think it was possible for her heart to beat faster, but it sure proved her wrong. Her body shifted slightly underneath him, somewhat nervous. She could feel his breath on her skin, and for one reason or another, it drove her crazy. She couldn't even think to speak, no words came out no matter how hard she tried to form them.

Jaakuna wouldn’t move, he would stay in the current position that he was in. He wasn’t even doing it to get the answer out of her, not anymore, at least. He was overtaken by the beauty and love he has for this woman he is staring at. His heart started to beat more and more for her. His head was back down near her neck and he kissed it. OF course, they weren’t the types of kisses that was in a sucking motion. It was more like tickle kisses. Yes, he’s tickling her on the neck with his mouth and soon laughter would ensue.

She really wasn't sure what his goal was, but she felt his lips on her skin. Still, what followed had thrown her off guard. "Ah--!" Emiri let out a gasp of surprise, as she didn't really see the tickling coming. She hadn't really been tickled before, and found the sensation to be mildly funny yet torturous somehow. She bit her lip, suppressing her giggles, but she couldn't hold it in. That giddy schoolgirl from before had been unleashed, and now she was squirming under him, trying to get free. It was weird, it was such a weird feeling, and while maybe she didn't hate it she wanted it to stop. "N-No, I c-can't--!" She spoke between giggles, though at this point, she tried to push him off.

Jaakuna would keep the tickle kisses going on for a few more moments. The amount of tickle kisses he would give her probably felt like more than they actually were. Jaakuna would hear Emiri’s plead to stop through her uncontrollable giggles. Jaakuna would keep the giggle-inducing kissing for a while longer until he would stop just for a brief moment to look at Emiri, who at this point was still getting her giggles out. “Are you ready to tell me? Or must I release the Kissing Kraken again?” He playfully asked.

Boy, she had no idea being tickled took more out of her then a trek through the Dalmascan Westersand. Once he stopped, she found herself breathing in and out heavily, trying to control her air intake. A few giggles still escaped here and there, but where they came from she had no idea, all she knew was that she did not like that and would not like to experience it anytime soon. When he threatened her to do it again, she held out her hand, signaling her surrender. "No! No, I...I concede, anything but that torture!" She pleaded him, though found it somewhat ironic that he was the one that was supposed to beg, now she was the one begging him.

Emiri looked up at Jaakuna, her breathing pattern steadying somewhat as the last of her laughs left her system. She opened her mouth to tell him her answer, only to chicken out at the last second. She did not want to be tickled again, however, so she forced herself to just come on out with it. "I said...That is, what my response to her...I..." She started, trying to string together the right words as she recalled her own words. "It was something that I hadn't quite realized. When she asked me, I was so surprised by it. She asked it so plainly and upfront...it threw me off guard. I suppose...in a sense Ii should thank her, it made me really think about how I felt...and...and why I was in denial." She closed her eyes, though she had a small smile on her face. "I just wanted you all to myself...it hurt so much to hear what you did for her, even if that thing may have no been a good thing. But I said that I didn't care what you did so long as I could stay by your side, I promised, remember? I promised I would protect you, no matter what." She frowned a bit. "But I was so scared...I was scared to admit how I really felt. I didn't understand, I never really wanted to be with someone like this before. But...but none of that matters. The past just doesn't matter anymore, you see. I just want the next moment, I just want the future...and...and I..."

At this point she slowly opened her eyes, her cheeks entirely red at this point. "Jaakuna, I...I love you."

Jaakuna couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Wait. That’s a bold-faced lie. He can believe what he is hearing cause he knows Emiri and he knew that she loved him. He was waiting for her to realize it and finally admit it to not only herself, but to him as well. Jaakuna couldn’t be any more happy than he already is at the current moment. All the words she would speak, it would just resnonate in his ears as a symphonic melody sung by the angels high above. If last night when she stayed when him didn’t make him the happiest man on Ivalice, then definitely hearing her utter those three simple words with his name at the front of it made Jaakuna truly happy.

Jaakuan didn’t speak words. He knew they were cheap and actions were the only thing that would make sense. Taking his left hand, Jaakuna ran it across the right side(her right) of her face, stroking her ear, and brushing her hair behind said ear. He would then look deep into her eyes — her deep, violet eyes — and he would kiss her, but this time was different. All the previous times that he would kiss her(or vice versa), it was just out of pure ecstasy that stemmed from sexual desire and attraction. However, this time was different — deeper. The way he kissed her was different, the way he took her was different, and the way his lips met hers was different. It was like no other time before for the two of them. The aspect of guests being up was no concern to Jaakuna right now. He didn’t care if Wesley or Nadeline were up and about nor if Savayna was as well. All he cared about was this moment, this woman he’s sharing it with, and the kiss that, in his mind, would last a life time. Truly, this one kiss, for as long as it would carry on for, Jaakuna would cherish it just as he will cherish her, his baby, Emiri.

Jaakuna took it well, it seemed. He didn't say a single thing, which surprised her because she expected him to say something, but he remained silent. Instead, he looked deep into her eyes, and she saw something had changed in there somewhere. It wasn't explainable, just something she just knew. The way he kissed her had also changed. She could feel butterflies in her stomach, and her nervousness seemed to ease up a bit, too. She was happy, so to speak. She guessed he was too. Is that why this was different? She didn't know if only a few seconds or a few minutes had passed, it seemed like everything had just about slowed down at that point.

The kiss meant more this time. It was both of them at a state to where they truly were happy. Jaakuna felt it, Emiri most likely felt it to. Added to that, Jaakuna could feel the confidence from her to him and vice-versa. It was unlike anything that Jaakuna had experienced before. The emotional overload was off the charts. He felt love and it was real. It was like he was on Cloud Nine. It was only him and her, both of them with each other and nothing would end the moment, not if he had anything to do about it. That’s when, slowly, but surely, Jaakuna would guide Emiri on her back, and gently taking her. His right leg would find its place on the inside of hers and his left on outside of her left. It didn’t matter how early it was outside, the moment was perfect.
Down in the kitchen/dining room area on the ship, everyone else found themselves enjoying a breakfast that Wesley had prepared. Everyone had just gotten up. Wesley had prepared a wonderful breakfast feast as there was three different stacks of pancakes — blueberry, strawberry, and Apple&cinnamon . Added to that, there was a big bowl of scrambled Cockatrice Eggs, Dire Wolf steaks, and plenty of toast with chocobo butter spread available to use on the toast. As the three of them were adjusting to waking up, Wesley sits down as does Savayna. They both look around the table and they notice the absence of two of their friends,

“Wonder where Jaakuna and Emiri are at?” Wesley says as he chews on some toast.

Savayna yawns and spoke. “Jaakuna is always a late bird, so I’m not surprised that he’s not up yet. I have no idea about Emiri.” She says sheepish.

Wesley just lets out a curious moan. “Perhaps one of us should go wake them up. It is unhealthy to stay in bed for longer than the minimum.” Wesley suggests.

Savayna groans. “I’m not doing it.”

Nadeline stifled a yawn, rubbing her eye as she waiting for her coffee to brew. Of course Wesley already had a fresh pot out, but her picky tastes would have none of that. For one reason or another, she did not sleep well and woke up a cranky crab. She couldn't wait for the stupid machine to finish, she needed that stupid coffee to function and it was taking way too long. She did perk up slightly at Wesley and Savayna's conversation, and she let out a low groan. Emiri should have been up by now! Did she not learn? She grumbled something under breath as the machine finally spat out her coffee. She downed it in one gulp, slamming her cup in the sink, and she crossed her arms. She groaned again, a palm on her forehead as she dragged her feet out of the kitchen.

As she reached Emiri's room, she did not bother knocking, going straight in. She took in a deep breath, prepared to unleash her holy cranky hell of a lecture, only to find the room empty. She looked around, somewhat confused, as she was sure Emiri hadn't been in the kitchen. Did she maybe pass her on the way? She was not entirely awake, so it was possible. She looked at Emiri's bed, staring at it intently, though eventually her eyes widened. She never made it to her room, it seemed: her bed was still perfectly made, it looked like no one had even slept on it.

Nadeline shuffled back to the kitchen, a curious look on her face as she took a seat at the table. "Emiri seems to be missing." She stated blankly, her voice somewhat light, like she was really thinking about what she was saying. "She is not in her room, but she is not here either." She said curiously, her brain not completely awake and at a loss for words.
