In all honesty, Emiri wasn't even sure if she wanted to go. Too late to back off now, of course. She decided to clear the table, picking up everyone's now empty dishes and washing them in the sink. How many years had it been since she even saw her own father? Was it six or seven? Surely he was disappointed in her. She wondered if he would even want to see her. That thought got to her, and she suddenly felt very depressed. Would he be happy? Gods knew she wanted to see him. But she didn't want him to feel ashamed of her actions. He'd tell her that running away was never the solution to anything. With that thought in mind, she did get a little more courage. She would go to see him, and accept whatever reaction she would get. If he was ashamed, she would bear it, if he was angry, she would understand.

Nadeline didn't much like the idea of Savayna accompanying them. Grant was Lorenzo's brother, so it made sense, and while Wesley may or may not have been welcome, he was a gentleman, so he wouldn't dare disrespect anyone if they didn't deserve it. But Savayna was...a brute. She looked at the other blonde. furrowing her brow a bit. "Do behave, I'd rather you not disrespect my father." She told her sternly. She was not kidding, if she so much as even hinted at any disrespect for her father, she would make sure that she would never hear the end of it.

Grant coughed slightly, patting Nadeline's arm. "There, there, Lorenzo is a very understanding man." He told her flatly.
Roman nodded at his grandfather's words, gesturing to the seat before him. "Not since Jackson's wedding to Savayna, I believe." He replied, lightly bowing his head to the old man. "Tell me, grandfather, to what do I owe the pleasure of a visit? I know you are a busy man." He politely asked. The two got along to an extent, though out of the three sons, Roman had always been the more respectful one. Ironic, considering he had every reason not to be, but that was the blame of his late father and not anyone else. He waited patiently for an answer.

As Hamut took a seat, he smiled to his grandson. He was pleasantly surprised that Roman actually remembered the last time they saw each other. Though, Roman has always been one to remember important events. Still, that was quite some time ago. Hamut remembers it being a life time ago, considering what has occurred since then. The death of his son, Simon, Jaakuna’s betrayal, Vincent taking Simon’s throne, Ixion being a judge, and just a bunch of things happening. Hamut just smiled and laughed at all that.

“I believe he prefers to be called Jaakuna now.” Hamut said laughing about how his grandson Jackson had changed, preferring a name that was a nickname that Vincent gave him as a joke. “But yes, it has been that long. That was the last time we were all together — myself, you, your father, your two brothers . It was so long ago, when you consider what has happened since then and now.” Hamut was sounding like a sentimental old man. Well, he is one, but still. “but, I believe I tell you why I have ventured all the way here.” Hamut said clearing his throat. “Your home needs you, Roman. It’s time you fulfill your duties as son of Simon Aver Darcone. It’s time you claim your birthright as Emperor of Archadia.” Hamut said, giving Ramon quite the news in this early morning.
It was no doubt this was different from before. Nadeline was more serious than she had ever been. In any other situation, she would still yell at Savayna, but not mean it 100%, but considering that this was her father, it was a whole different story. Though, Nadeline had no reason to worry, not this time at least. Savayna knew how to handle herself in front of royalty. She might be a bit of a loose cannon sometimes, but she wasn’t about to disrespect one of the heirs to the Rozarrian throne. “Chillax, I’m not about to insult someone who I have no problems with. So, you can calm your tits with that, your highness.

When that matter was settled, Wesley would take his attention to the hour of waiting. It surely would be a bit of a nervous wait. Wesley didn’t know if Nadeline’s father was going to like him or approve that his daughter was dating..well anyone. He didn’t have to pretend that Prince Lorenzo wouldn’t be hostile to him. Wesley surely is protective over his younger sister, that’s for sure. Granted, he’s never been one to be overly-harsh to the men that would come and go in her life, but he didn’t exactly make it easy for any of them to have a chance. Oh ’tis the torture of being an older brother.

Emiri had started to clear the table and Jaakuna decided to help her. Clearing the table would be a bit of a time-consuming task and besides Jaakuna needed something to pass the time. So, he would start just by helping her do the little things: clear the table, wash dishes, and all that stuff. About ten minutes later, it was all finished and everyone by this point had scattered out. Jaakuna would consider what to wear. “I guess I should go get dressed. Probably should pick out something a little formal for the visit, eh?” Jaakuna half-mused and half-said to Emiri, most likely looking for her opinion on the manner.

Savayna didn't exactly quell her worries, though Nadeline still chose to drop it. Instead she would resignate herself to pondering about whatever it was that Lorenzo wanted. She decided not to worry too much about it, but it was still something worth thinking about. She half wished she had actually seen Vlyn back in Archades, she knew she would have been able to get the whole story out of him. But there just hadn't been enough time. Speaking of time, it would be some time before they reached Stigma. She didn't think much of it, but it was time to kill, and she never was the patient type.

Emiri turned her attention to Jaakuna, who had asked about his attire. She giggled a bit, waving his concerns away. "What, because we're to meet with Nadeline's father? I'm sure your normal attire would suffice." She paused for a moment, thinking about her own father again, though it drifted onto her mother. "Just be yourself, right?" She asked, taking his hand in hers.
Ah, that was right, Jackson was Jaakuna. It was quite a change, really, but Roman supposed he would just get used to it. Yes, it had been a very long time since the family was together, and now that could never happen since his father was dead. He remembered hearing the news, though he felt indifferent. His mother had been sad for reason she knew not, but it was no his place to question her. Those thoughts would be put aside, however, as his grandfather revealed the real reason he was here. It was surprising, of course, and he couldn't help but wonder why Hamut would be telling him this.

"Grandfather...surely, you jest?" Roman said, though he knew he was very serious. "To even suggest a thing...you would ask that I usurp my brother's position? I know that you and he had never truly seen eye to eye, but...if this is your intention, you must realize my position on this." He stopped for a moment, collecting his thoughts. "It may be in my blood, but I don't know if Archadia would ever accept me. My bastard status is not exactly public, and even then Vincent or even Jaakuna could take the throne from me at any moment."

Roman’s response was to be expected, but despite it, Hamut definitely wasn’t joking or jesting or whatever Roman thought he was doing. Hamut was completely serious in when he suggested that his grandson take the throne from his other grandson, Vincent. Though, his reasoning for thinking Hamut was joking was respectful at the very least. It’s true that Roman is indeed a bastard and sure, having a bastard take the throne from a pure-blooded son would be going against everything that the tradition stands for, but Hamut is desperate and in all honesty, he never saw Roman as a bastard. He always was as pure as Jackson and Vincent.

“Roman, I am as serious as I am your grandfather. Your brother Vincent is idiotic, impulsive, and everything that I despise about him. His recent endevours, however, have proven too much. He was willing to execute Lord Andre Iniabi’s daughter as well as Prince Grant Marshall Roselia. His greed for power has gone way too far. As for Jackson, he’s not in the right place to rule, not yet. I would take it myself, but due to my status as the First Judge, I cannot. “ Hamut said standing up. “That just leaves you, Roman. Despite your bastard status, you are the only one who can take the throne as a part of the Darcone family.” He said looking to Ramon sternly. “If that isn’t enough, how would you like if I told you the real truth about your father and the real cause of his death?” Hamut said, turning his body slightly, but turning his one eye to Ramon.
When Emiri told him that whatever he would choose normally would be fine when they he and Wesley would meet Nadeline’s father. She would just tell him to be himself. Jaakuna was still nervous about it, mainly how being himself might lead to him being thrown in jail again. Jaakuna should know by now that when faced with royalty or those of noble blood that he should act with respect, but still not trying to be phony. Yeah, that’s like telling a Dire Wolf not to bite enemies cause it’s unkind to do. Nonetheless, Jaakuna just stared at Emiri as she would reassure him.

In the time that it took the Ifrit to arrive at Stigma, everyone already got ready into whichever clothing that they would wear for the trip. They would also bring any kind of overnight wear that they would need. As for the attire that Jaakuna chose, he just went for his usual red jacket, olive-green pants, and black shoes with white lace. He also has red and white gloves. His jacket zipped up just cause he doesn’t want many to see the overwhelming amount of tattoos on his body.

When Jaakuna arrived, he was the last one as the rest of the group had all been waiting for him. Wesley chuckled. “Glad you can join us.” Wesley said. Jaakuna stuck his tongue out. Savayna sighed at that. “Let’s just get going then.”

As they would get ready to go, they all would stand in the Beaming Station and within seconds they were beamed down on the blue walkway that it seemed that Stigma had. “Holy Shit!“ Wesley, Savayna, and Jaakuna all said in unison, jaws dropped. Wesley would then turn to Nadeline, and Jaakuna to Emiri, and both said. “You’re from HERE!?” The surprise was obvious from their expressions, but the awe would have to wait as they all have urgent business to attend to. Savayna was the only one that could actually function with a brain. “C’mon ladies, the boys are obviously too star struck to move on.” Savayna said as she obviously included Grant in with the mix when she said ‘ladies’. Wesley and Jaakuna snapped out of it and they went along with them. This would definitely be a fun visit, at least that’s what they are hoping it would be.

The city of Stigma was surrounded entirely by water, its architecture run mostly by magic. It opposed Archades in nearly every way possible as it relied on nature as opposed to technology. As they walked, Emiri couldn't help but find herself getting nervous. This beautiful place had once been her prison, but only now that she had been away from it for so long did she see its true beauty. The three Rozarrians didn't quite share the same awe that the two Archadians and Dalmascan had, though that was mostly because they had indulged in it almost every day. Still, Grant was almost glad to be home.

As they reached the central city, the group was approached by a small group of giggling girls. At the front was a gorgeous little girl whose hair was black as night, her brown eyes shining and putting Emiri's to shame. She was just so cute! Nadeline knelt down to that she was eye level with her. "Why, if it isn't Mikaela. How do you do?" She asked her gently.

"Welcome home, Princess!" The entire group chanted, though a majority chose to stare and whisper about her companions. Mikaela promptly shushed most of them, and turned back to Ndeline with a sad expression. "Um, you should know, Princess, your Mama collapsed. She was taken to Utena Hospital yesterday."

She felt her heart sink. She should have known. Still, she managed not to make even the slightest bit of worry appear on her face. "Thank you for telling me, I'll be sure to go see her right now." She told them cheerfully. Grant felt a pang of guilt, he couldn't really believe it.

Mikaela nodded enthusiastically, though she then looked at Emiri. She copied Nadeline, kneeling down. "Lord Andre is there, too." Mikaela told her quietly.

Emiri didn't respond, though she and Nadeline both stood up. "Alright, we will be on our way now, so run along." Nadeline told them, and the giggling girls said goodbye in unison and left. "To Utena, then." She sighed, leading the way. The hospital had actually been right by them, located right behind the central complex. It appeared to be a very small building. "Utena is divided into several buildings." She explained, though she put a finger to her lips. "We must keep our voices down, the doctors and nurses are very strict here."

Once they were inside, they were treated to a great contrast from the outside. The walls were decorated very simply, though a lush inside garden was spread all over the pathways and walls. Nadeline approached the front desk, where she would speak to a dark haired man. "Good morning Joesph. Where may I find Karolina?"

The man looked up, though he smiled at Nadeline. "Good morning, Your Highness. Karolina would be in her usual suite at the top floor, although..." He trailed off as he looked at the group.

"Could you please make an exception? It's this one time, I promise."

He thought for a moment, but nodded. "Of course Your Highness. Please proceed." He waved to a security guard, who nodded as well.

Nadeline turned back to the group. "Okay, whoever's coming with me, let's get going." She said, leading Wesley, Grant and Savayna to the elevators.

At this point Emiri approached the front desk. "Excuse me, where might I find Andre Iniabi's room?"

The man checked his computer, then pointed to a hallway. "Just go down the left hallway, it should be the second room."

"Thank you." She murmured. She took Jaakuna's hand, leading the way.
Roman listened carefully to Hamut. His offer was tempting, and he admitted it had been on his mind since Savayna had mentioned it. He just hadn't the time to properly investigate it. He let out a sigh as he crossed his arms, looking at his grandfather. "Fulfill my duties...Grandfather, if only it were that simple. Though I am sad to hear about Vincent." He spoke slowly. "I had always thought that maybe my brothers were free of Father's lust for power, but..." He closed his eyes for a moment though he opened them shortly afterwards. "Alright. Tell me what you know."

When they reached the city, more so the central portion, Savayna and Jaakuna were trying their hardest not to stand out. Truly, a pair of Archadians would most not be welcome in the Rozarrian capital of Stigma, much less a disgraced General and Prince, both of which wanted by their homeland for crimes against the Empire. Hell, everyone among the group is wanted by Archadia for crimes they have committed against the empire. It was a miracle that Hamut had been on their side.

When they got to the central city portion, there seemed to be three little girls that instantly recognized Nadeline. They were cute little girls. They couldn’t be no older than the ages of seven, maybe eight. Nadeline knelt down to their eye level and just speak with them briefly. After a few rounds of going back-to-back, the girls would inform Nadeline that her mother had been hospitalized. Wesley instantly would look to Nadeline and the fact that she was able to not have a sad look on her face showed that she truly was a professional when it came to upholding the image of a princess.

As Nadeline would thank the girls for telling her, she would take charge and lead the group to the Utana Hospital. It wouldn’t be long until they came to the building and Nadeline would inform them all that the staff of Utana had very strict guidelines and quiet voices are required as they could possibly kick them out if they’re too loud. Wesley, Jaakuna, and Savayna all nodded as they understood the terms. The group would head to the front desk and Nadeline would ask where her mother was being held at. The man at the desk stated that she was in her regular room on the top floor. At that, Wesley, Savayna, and Grant were led by Nadeline to the elevator to go to the top floor and go to Karolina’s room.

When the four of them would leave, Emiri would ask the man at the front desk where her father was at. As he told her, Emiri would grab Jaakuna’s hand and pull him along as they went down the hall to the left, and the second room. As they walked further, Jaakuna couldn’t imagine what Emiri is thinking right now or even what he could say in this situation, so he just said nothing.

On the elevator, Savayna, Grant, Nadeline, and Wesley wait for it to arrive on the top floor. As it would go up, Wesley would place a hand on Nadeline’s shoulder. “How are you holding up?” He asked her in a worried tone.
Hamut would be lying if he said he wasn’t pleased with the way Roman was acting. Despite everything else, he was a Darcone and the head of House Darcone had just requested something of him. “I understand you might have mixed feelings about this all, but I wouldn’t ask you to do this unless it was absolutely necessary. “ He said, though after Ramon would state that he wished to know what happened to his father.

Hamut smiled. “Very well then. “ He said, “Of course, you know the supposed story that your brother, Jackson killed him. Well, that is entirely false. The man your brother killed was not his father.” Hamut admitted, “It was , in fact, his brother— Isaiah’s father — Nicolas Iacentum Darcone. “ He admitted once more, “It was under my orders that he put the façade of being Simon. I wanted Vincent to reveal his true colors. He even knew about who the true man that Jackson killed, but he still goes on pretending that his father was the one who died. “ He said, “So, you see Vincent is truly a deplorable man.“ He continued, “Also, your father is indeed alive, but then again he’s not. His soul is trapped in Giruvegan.” He admitted. “I know this is all a lot to take in, but please you have to understand that what I did, and how I did it was to protect my family, my legacy. And you, Ramon Darcone, the oldest of the Darcone siblings, must take on the responsibility as Emperor of Archadia.” Hamut said.

Roman let out a small sigh, a hand to his forehead as he processed the information he was given. It was something, that much was for sure. The truth was something he never would have guessed, though he was unsure what to do with said information. He looked at his grandfather intently, a somewhat weary look on his face. He sighed once more, now placing his hand on his chin. What a situation. "Responsibility...it falls on me, then." He said slowly, thinking. "Vincent...how you've fallen. When I was outcast from Archadia, it had been a relief and a sorrow. Relief because never would I have to be in the battle for the throne. A sorrow because I would not see my family. And now, in a cruel irony made by the gods, I will see my family...only to usurp the throne...the gods toy with me, they do." He put his hand on his desk. "Alright. I accept your proposal."
Emiri stopped before the closed door in front of her. All she had to do was open it and she would see her father again. Putting her hand on the door handle, she took in a deep breath. Opening the door, the room was revealed. It was quite small and decorated almost entirely in white. The open window blew the beige colored curtains to the side gently. Her heart nearly stopped as she saw her father on the bed. He was reading a newspaper, his eyes entirely focused. It had been so long and yet he remained exactly as she recalled him.

"You can leave my lunch there, Loraine." He said, still reading the paper.

Emiri released Jaakna's hand and walked forward, stopping just before the bed. "Papa..." It came out almost as a whisper.

The brown haired man's eyes wandered over to her, widened. He put the newspaper down, his expression now one of pure disbelief. The two looked at one another, silence filling the room, though what kind of silence it was no one really knew. Finally, Emiri broke the silence, but she didn't do it with words. She let out a small gasp, raising her hand to her mouth, and felt her tears. She didn't even realize she had been crying.

To her surprise, he laughed. He actually laughed. "My little girl...all grown up...come here, please." He asked, holding his hand out. "Please come here, Emelia..."

Emiri let out a small hiccup, though she forced herself to stop crying. She approached him, though let him take her hand. No matter how old she was, his hand always looked so big. He looked at her so gently, looking so happy. She didn't expect this at all. She thought he would yell at her, curse her, get angry, get frustrated. But he was smiling. "I...I heard...about your battle...the-the explosion..."

"Ah, yes, I did get caught in the blast, but it'll take more than that to take out your old man." He grinned, lightly wiping away the tears from her cheeks. "I'd go through it a hundred times if it meant seeing you again."

She almost cried again. She felt so guilty. "D-Don't say that..." She muttered.

He grinned at her, lightly patting her hand. "I didn't think the gods would answer my prayers, yet here you are. Look at you! You're a grown woman already!" He admired her face. "Look at how beautiful you turned out. Though...I don't think you gained much height, did you?"

Emiri blinked at him, though her face turned red. "Papa!" She whined, clearly embarrassed.

He let out a hearty laugh, though he did finally notice Jaakuna. "Oh? And who is this?"
The blonde felt Wesley's hand on her shoulder, and she looked at him. He seemed worried. "Mother is an ill person, remember? This happens a lot." She admitted quietly, focusing on the elevator. She didn't want to say much, if only because she maybe did not want to jinx it. Once the doors opened, she led the group to Karolina's room. Nadeline opened the door quickly, clearly worried about her mother. To her surprise (and the other's no doubt) her mother looked perfectly fine as she sat upon a chair next to the bed, lightly humming as she peeled apples onto a small table in front of her. Lorenzo, his arms crossed as he watched her. He was the one in the bed, not looking very pleased.

"Be patient my love, I'm almost done." She had told him softly.

"I know, just...the food here is so terrible." He whined rather comically, dramatically flopping down onto the bed.

She let out a chuckle, though she noticed the group at the door. "Darling, we have visitors." She told him, lightly prodding him with the knife.

Lorenzo sat up immediately and let out a cheer. He jumped off the bed, running to Nadeline and grasping her around her waist. He swung her around (much to her chagrin) a few times, though once he put her down he pulled her into a very tight hug. "My princess! My baby! You've returned to me!" He yelled happily, not quite catching Nadeline's exasperated look.

"Father! Please!" She complained, trying to wrestle free of Lorenzo's grip.

"But I've missed you so!"

"Now, now darling, be careful or you'll hurt yourself again." Karolina lightly chided him.

Lorenzo pouted, though he did finally release Nadeline, instead turning to the group at hand. "Hmm...two familiar faces and my baby brother. AH! GRANT!" He suddenly yelped, and to Grant's horror the man pulled him into a tight hug. "Thank goodness you're alright!"

"Unhand me!" Grant ordered. "Lady Karolina! Please!"

Karolina stopped peeling apples, placing her hands on her hips. "Darling! That is enough! Lay out some chairs for our guests or you will not get any apples!"

At her word, Lorenzo released Grant and did exactly as she said, laying out four more chairs for everyone to sit on. He then plopped back onto the bed, grinning from ear to ear. Nadeline let out a rather exasperated sigh. "This is my father, Lorenzo, and my mother, Karolina." She introduced them to Wesley and Savayna.

Hamut was pleased to hear that Roman would accept the proposal to become the Emperor. However, there were still a few things that needed to be ironed out. Like, most importantly, making sure the coup goes according to Hamut’s plan and only then would Roman be able to take his rightful place on the throne. “It pleases me to hear you say that, Roman. “ He said standing up smiling. “It will take me a couple of days to get everything ready for you. Sadly, your brother is so deluded that myself and three of the judges will have to conspire against him by forming a coup, but this is the politics that come with the job.” Hamut laughed at that. “I will send someone in two days time for you. I have faith that you will be able to find a replacement Marquis for yourself in that amount of time.” He said, waiting for a response.
When Emiri and Jaakuna arrived in the room of her father, she and him would have quite the reunion. Jaakuna would just smile as her and Andre would just catch up. Tears were formed, hugs were given, and embarrassment ensued for both of them. Jaakuna tried to stay out of it for as long as he could. It wasn’t until Andre noticed him that Jaakuna had no choice but to be involved. He would simply ask Jaakuna who he was. You can do this. It’s just her father. Oh who are you kidding. This is a big deal and it’s not just her father — IT’S HER FATHER! Jaakuna was having a war in his mind.

Getting out of that train-of-thought, Jaakuna would walk up to Andre’s bed head bowed and hand out. “Lord Andre, it is an honor. My name is Jackson Tunick Darcone. Though, everyone calls me Jaakuna, but you don‘t have to if you don‘t want to. Completely up to you, sir.” Jaakuna was a blubbering mess. He was going on and on and on. Oh how the nerves got the better of him. Such a bad impression.
As they were still on the elevator, Wesley had asked if Nadeline was alright or if she was at least holding up better. She would remind him that her mother is ill, so it’s a normal thing. However, Wesley still thought that didn’t make it any easier on her. Though, before Wesley could respond, the elevator got to the floor and in minutes they would arrive at Karolina’s room, to which her father would jump in joy. Actually, he would do much more than that. He would pick up Nadeline(much to her protest) and swing her around shouting how it was so great to have her back and other such things to that effect. Wesley couldn’t help but chuckle at that. It wouldn’t stop there. Lorenzo would proceed to hug Grant, to which Savayna would laugh…loud, but then Wesley would sock her arm, as she was being too loud.

After a few minutes of what seemed to be Lorenzo just seeing his family, his wife Karolina would signal Lorenzo to cease fire and so he did. “Boy is he whipped.” Savayna said quietly, and again Wesley would sock her arm. She gave him a nasty glare, but she would just let it go…for now. When the four chairs were placed around the bed, all four of them sat down. Nadeline would introduce Lorenzo and Karolina to Savayna and Wesley.

Savayna would be the first to speak, shaking he hand of Lorenzo first. “Yo! The name is Savayna Glacie, a pleasure to meet ya, your lordship.” She said trying to be as respectful as she could. Savayna then turned her attention to Karolina. “And an esteemed honor to meet you as well, Lady Karolina.” Savayna said so sweet-like as she gently shook the hand of Karolina.

Wesley’s turn was up and he was as nervous as anyone would be in his position. He would wipe the sweat from his hands and go for it. “Prince Lorenzo, my name is Wesley Alexander Dalmasca, Prince of the Dalmasca Kingdom.” He said shaking Lorenzo’s hand. He then turned his eyes to Karolina. “Lady Karolina, it is an honor to meet you. Truly, the words of Nadeline about your beauty do not do justice for the real thing.” He said as he, like a gentleman, kissed her hand. Of course, Wesley had to do this. He is a prince, after all and princes must show the best of manners.

Karolina smiled gently, though once she took back her hand from Wesley she resumed peeling apples. "The pleasure is all mine Your Highness, Miss Glacie." She replied cheerfully as she finished, now carefully slicing pieces off the apple. Lorenzo nodded, obviously sharing his wife's sentiment but more focused and eager to get his apples. She placed them down on a plate and began peeling a second apple. Lorenzo would throw his arms up in the air as he took a slice from his plate, popping it into his mouth. He munched on it carefully, though he would take the moment to inspect both Wesley and Savayna carefully.

Grant rolled his eyes, clearly displeased with his brother. The blonde haired man shot him a grin. "Nuh-uh Grant, you can't have any no matter how much you beg, Karolina got them especially for me." He told him, sticking out his tongue.

"Don't be ridiculous, I never said I wanted any." Grant scoffed, crossing his arms.

"You'll have to excuse my baby brother, he doesn't voice his wants and needs, so you have to guess them." Lorenzo advised the group wisely, nodding his head as he ate some more apple. "He's so uptight and serious, it makes me feel like a prince."

"You ARE a prince, idiot." Grant said, placing his hands on his knees.

"Which reminds me...A Dalmascan Prince, An Archadian General...quite the interesting crew you have." He told Nadeline thoughtfully. "I'd advise you against using your full name, Ice Queen, remember you're in Rozarria. Your fame proceeds you." He told Savayna as he ate another apple slice.

Grant coughed slightly, deciding to have some revenge on Nadeline from earlier. "You know, Lorenzo...Nadeline is seeing this prince."

Lorenzo jumped up from the bed, taking Nadeline's hands in his. "My most precious daughter is seeing someone?! Say it isn't so! Say it isn't so!" He wailed, clearly distraught as he placed his head on her lap. "It can't be! Next thing you know they'll be getting married and moving out and having children--oh, NOOOO! I CAN'T BE A GRANDFATHER YET! NADELIIIIINE!" He yelled dramatically, shaking the girl's shoulders. "Rethink this! You must! You're too young to have children! Your mother and I are too young to be Grandmother and Grandfather!"

Grant snickered lightly as Nadeline shot him a glare. She looked at her father, snatching her hands away from him. "Father, please, get a hold of yourself!" She yelled at him.

Lorenzo gasped. "Nadeline...you yelled at me..." He whispered, though the waterworks came back. He crawled over to Karolina, placing his head on her lap. "Dear! We've lost our only daughter to a man we don't even know! How did this happen?! Why am I such a failure as a father?!"

Karolina only smiled, patting her husband's head. "There, there, we knew this day would come, darling." She sniffed, dabbing her eyes with a napkin.

"Mother! Not you too!" Nadeline whined, her face red as she was clearly embarrassed.

Lorenzo looked at Wesley with watery eyes. "Wh-why would y-you do th-this to me? W-We d-don't even kn-know one another!" He told him, lip trembling.

"Be sure to have as many children as possible while you're still young." Karolina chimed in rather cheerfully. "Oh, my lovely Nadeline, you've grown so much~"
Andre took Jaakuna's hand, though he gripped it tightly. He studied his hand for a moment, though he did squeeze it a bit. He shook his head, as if Jaakuna had said something he didn't like. "Hmm...your swordsmanship needs work." He mused lightly, though he released Jaakuna's hand. "I am Andre Iniabi, Emelia's father. Though I suppose you already knew that." He frowned slightly at this point, looking between her and Jaakuna. "I suppose...it's good to know you haven't been alone all these years. How long has it been? I don't even remember."

Emiri took Jaakuna's hand again, intertwining her fingers between his. "Five or six years, Papa...though I don't really remember, either." She admitted rather sheepishly.

"That would make you...twenty three, almost twenty four." He said thoughtfully.

She squeezed Jaakuna's hand nervously, trying to take some of his courage. "Papa, I...I'm so sorry I've been gone all this time...and...you didn't deserve that." She told him, her voice shaking somewhat. "I thought you...you would be angry with me..."

"I told you, I'm just glad to see you again." He reassured her, though he noticed how she was holding hands with Jaakuna. "Who did you say this man was, Emelia?"

Emiri bit her lip lightly, though she did smile at her father. "This is my boyfriend, Papa." She informed him cheerfully.

Andre looked at Jaakuna with a rather curious expression. He opened his mouth to say something, but the door opened. A gasp was heard, and Andre's attention was to the visitor. Before Emiri could see who it was, she felt someone grab her shoulder. She was forcibly turned and promptly slapped across the face. She winced, but as she opened her eyes, she realized who had hit her. "Justine!" Andre called out, clearly alarmed. A woman of reddish blonde hair and violet eyes had slapped Emiri cleanly across her face. Justine stood before Emiri, an expression of anger on her face, though it was very controlled.

"How dare you...how dare you show your face around here?" She asked, her voice low. Emiri raised a hand to her cheek, clearly shocked. She couldn't believe she was face to face with her mother again. She couldn't believe she hit her again. Why couldn't she say anything? She felt like she was frozen in place with her feet rooted to the ground. Justine scoffed, shaking her head. "You disgraceful, foolish child...it isn't enough that you flee like a coward, now you come to bother your father. Have you no shame?" She asked, every word biting into Emiri.

It was an interesting conversation going on. The fact that there was four Rozarrians, an Archadian, and a Dalmascan all together talking was truly amazing. It was one of those rare times that people could look beyond nationalities and just focus on the pure joy and thrill of conversation between hume beings. The words from Lorenzo would be advice, mainly to Savayna. He would tell her that it would be wise for her not to her use her full name since her reputation is obviously within the kingdom of Rozarria and city of Stigma. Savayna would shrug, but she would nod as she agreed that it would be best if she didn’t declare who she was. It truly would cause problems for Savayna and her friends, and also Grant. As that passed, however, Lorenzo would speak, and well that would be interesting.

Wesley really couldn’t make out what Lorenzo was all about. He half-expected the Prince to…well act like Grant in some aspects. He expected some type of protective instincts to come out full front. But nope, he would pull out some kind of ‘it’s the end of the world cause I’m going to be a grandpa’ card. Though, even hearing and seeing all of that, Wesley still didn’t know how to make heads or tails of it. He didn’t even know what to say when Lorenzo would ask Wesley, in a very dramatic fashion, why he did this to him? Wesley was starting to get red around his face. And even worse, Karolina seemed to be actually encouraging the act of sex between Nadeline and Wesley. At this point, he was all red.

When Wesley was downright embarrassed, Savayna, on the other hand, was eating it all up. She actually was enjoying every bit of this. She didn’t really care that these two were Rozarrians, she would join in on what they were saying. “Yes you two, be sure to have kids. You never know what could happen. Yolo, am I right?” She exclaimed, joining in on the teasing that Nadeline’s parents were giving them.

Wesley found the strength to speak. “Sir…we, I mean…we haven’t even had a date yet…” Wesley’s head was down, clearly beyond embarrassed.
If awkwardness ever was a movie, the scene that could be witnessed between Jaakuna, Emiri, and Andre could be the opening sequence. It was pretty clear that Jaakuna was not in his comfort zone here. Andre would take his hand to examine it and he would state that Jaakuna’s swordsmanship needed work. Jaakuna, inside was laughing, but outside he said nothing. He had to remember this man was a warrior among the elite of Rozarria. Jaakuna never was good at meeting his significant others’ parents. Though, there was a certain kindness to Andre, and Jaakuna would soon find himself not being too nervous.

Emiri and Andre would talk about how long its been since they last saw each other. Jaakuna had to admit it was indeed a long time to go in-between visits. Though, not like Jaakuna is any person to judge on that. Before yesterday, Jaakuna hadn’t seen his own brother in three years and not to forget Ramon, who he hadn’t seen three years more before Vincent. Of course, his own Grandfather, it was at least five years before yesterday. When they would talk more, Emiri would take Jaakuna’s hand, locking her fingers with his. That would raise a question that Andre meant to ask and that was exactly who Jaakuna was to Emiri, and when she stated that he was her boyfriend, Jaakuna’s nervousness level shot up.

Just as Andre was about to say something, his gaze went to the door behind them. Before Jaakuna could casually look to see what had his attention, that very object would come in, hand in full force and slap Emiri straight across the face. This caused Emiri’s grip with Jaakuna’s hand to cut off. Even more so, Jaakuan would turn around to see who slapped her, and to his surprise, it was her mother, Justine. Jaakuna couldn’t believe her own mother would slap her. But even more so, she would go on to yell to Emiri by stating how dare Emiri show her face around here. Emiri’s hand was on her cheek and when Justine would go on to call Emiri foolish and even dare ask why would she bother her father by coming back, Jaakuna lost it.

Grabbing Justine’s hand, Jaakuna directed it away from Emiri, and spoke. “What the hell is wrong with you?” Jaakuna shouted to Justine, “That’s your daughter you just hit. YOU should be the one to have shame. Do you not even understand how much strength it took her to come here, knowing full well that she would run into the likes of you!? No you don’t, cause all you give a damn about is making her life a living hell, isn’t it?” Jaakuna was just on a roll. “She risked EVERYTHING by coming to Stigma just to visit her father. “ Jaakuna said, holding Emiri’s hand, looking to her making sure she was alright. Jaakuna then turned his gaze to Justine. “And by the way, I’m Jackson Jaakuna Tunick Hinoko-Darcone, your daughter’s boyfriend. I would say it’s a pleasure, but I’m not one to lie.” He said looking her dead set in the eyes, almost like he was threatening her, but he wasn’t, not really.

Justine had half a mind to slap the girl again, though she was interrupted by Jaakuna. Emiri watched him, slightly in disbelief. She couldn't believe what he was saying. No, she could believe it, it was very much like him. As he looked at her again, she could only look back. She gripped his hand tightly, trying to take his courage again. Justine, on the other hand, wasn't amused. She wrenched her hand from Jaakuna's grip, glaring at the two of them. She scoffed, grabbing the newspaper Andre was reading, and she waved it in front of Jaakuna.

"Let me tell you something, young man." Justine decided to educate him. "Do you see my husband here? This is an almost weekly to bi-monthly occurrence. He works for his country every day, sacrificing everything, putting his life on the line so that this girl--" She pointed the newspaper at Emiri. "--Could have a roof over her head. So she could eat. And play. And do whatever it was that she pleased. Her father and I worked nonstop to clothe her, bathe her, make sure she had nothing but the best. And you know what she does? She throws it all away, and for what? To live like a dog? She could have had a much easier life than her father and I did, instead she chose to throw it all away."

Emiri squeezed his hand, slightly hiding behind him, clearly ashamed of herself. She was right. She was so right it hurt.

"Justine, that's enough." Andre warned her, moving to stand up. He winced slightly, grabbing his ribcage. "Shit..."

"Papa, stay still, you're not well." Emiri told him quietly, her voice wavering, though she did look back at Justine.

"Even now, you let someone else speak for you." At this point Justine eyed Jaakuna. "If I were you, I wouldn't get too comfortable. It's only a matter of time until you do something--anything--and she will abandon you just like she abandoned us."

No, no, that wasn't true. She didn't abandon them. She didn't. But...it was true. Everything she said was true. Feeling the tears in her eyes, she her head on Jaakuna's shoulder, her whole body trembling. A doll after all, because the words wouldn't come no matter how hard she tried. She wanted to tell her--and her father--that she didn't want to run. She didn't want to leave them. She was wrong, she was wrong! It was her fault! She was such an idiot, why would she ever come back? Why did she even bother? She had expected this would happen, and it did.
They haven't even gone on a date. Not even once. This silenced both Lorenzo and Karolina, who looked at Nadeline with shocked expressions on their faces. Grant couldn't help but quirk an eyebrow. Lorenzo never shut up, so this was a first. A very long silence ensued, so much that you could probably hear a pin drop. Lorenzo slowly raised his head from Karolina's lap and stood up. He walked over to Wesley, placing both of his hands onto the prince's shoulders. His expression was completely blank, expressionless. A tension then formed int he air so thick one would need a chainsaw jut to hope to be able to grab it. Lorenzo stared into Wesley's eyes, a look so serious and deep even Nadeline started feeling nervous.

And then the tension was cut.

"Are you telling me my beautiful little girl isn't good enough for you to even take on a date?!" He yelled angrily, shaking Wesley's shoulders. "Have you any idea how many suitors in a day she gets?! Every man and even some women compete daily just to get a glimpse of my daughter's beauty! Men clamor around her every time she steps out of the castle, women swoon in her precnese and wish to know her daily rituals in a pathetic attempt to be like her! And you're telling me that you haven't even gone on a date?! Are you a fool? Are you a joke? ARE YOU EVEN A MAN?!"

Karolina nodded in agreement. "You can't be too slow these days, Miss Glacie is right, you just never know how the world will be these days~"

Nadeline couldn't believe what she was hearing. One moment he was begging her not to leave him and not to have children, the next he was yelling at Wesley for...something she didn't quite understand. She groaned, stomping her foot on the ground. "Mother, Father, stop it, you're so embarrassing!" She whined.

Grant let out a sigh, clearly unfazed by this. He found himself looking at Savayna, offering a shrug. "At least they're entertaining." He told her.

This woman was every bit as bad as Emiri made her out to be. She’s cruel, wicked, and above all else, a cunt. Jaakuna didn’t even understand why a woman would treat her daughter in such a crude manner. Sure, what she said is what a parent should do. A parent should always make sure their child or children have everything that they need. Sometimes it’s only the material things that a child needs, sometimes it’s the love of both parents being under the same roof. Jaakuna could see that Emiri didn’t have that. With her dad being gone and her mom being so overbearing and so strict in such a way that she’s showing now, Jaakuna could see why Emiri was broken down to what Grant had her in. Her mom pretty much make her feel like a doll. Jaakuna was just sick of it. He had heard enough.

Jaakuna was just about to say some stuff, but Andre would try to ease the tension, but he still wasn’t up for it. And of course, Justine would speak even more about how Emiri would run away or some shit like that. Jaakuna just had enough.

“Oh will you shut it already!” Jaakuna really did have enough of it. “I wonder, did you ever stop to wonder WHY she ran? Maybe it was cause she couldn’t handle one more second of your bullshit. You say you love her, you say you want her to have the life that is only the best for her. “Jaakuna said stepping forward to Justine. “Before you go on saying these things about how she supposedly runs from you, maybe you should have asked her what SHE wanted. Maybe you should have asked her what HER preferred choice of lifestyle was.” Jaakuna just had enough of this bitch. “If she wanted this life, she would have stayed, now would’ve she?” Jaakuna couldn’t help but show a slight smirk after saying that. “And really, what you say doesn’t really matter to me. I know she won’t leave me. “

Jaakuna would look to Emiri and he could see it. No, it was more of a sensing of feelings. He could feel that her mother’s words were regressing her back into a state that Jaakuna thought she left when she went off on Grant aboard the Ark afew days back. Jaakuna would look at Emiri. “Hey, look at me. “ He said lifting her head up. “Don’t listen to her. Everything she just said is just her being petty, and hateful. “ Jaakuna said looking into her eyes, completely ignoring both Andre and Justine. “You’ve grown so much since that day we met at the Sandsea. You’ve gotten bolder and more confident. Coming back here is proof of that, so don’t let what she said make you doubt yourself. I love you too much for that to happen.” Jaakuna was speaking kindly and softly, but no doubt that her parents would hear him.
Wesley didn’t even know what to do. Nadeline’s father was more than he expected. Now, just as he had done to Nadeline, he shook Wesley’s shoulders and started yelling right to his face stuff about how dare he not take his beautiful daughter on a date. He would go on to say that men and women would die for the chance to date her. Wesley, at this point was so red, his face could be mistaken for a Rouge Tomato with black and silver hair. Then that’s when Lorenzo would go on to rhetorically ask him if he was a tool, a joke, or even a man. Wesley, at this point, was about to faint from the embarrassment.

“SIR! I AM NOT A JOKE, TOOL, AND I AM A MAN! NADELINE AND MYSELF JUST HAVEN’T HAD THE TIME TO GO ON A DATE!” What was that? Did Wesley just yell? And much less, did he actually say what he thought he said. “If it makes you feel better, we have shared a few kisses.” Oh by the gods, let there be mercy for Wesley. Oh god, let it be..

Savayna was just looking on, and she leaned into Grant. “So, Pussy-Grant, is your brother always like this?”

Nadeline could have been struck down where she stood and the gods would have been much too merciful. She needed to take matters into her own hands, and her mother was not helping matters. At all. She was encouraging this. What did she ever do to deserve this?! To her horror, Wesley admitted their kisses. She could have killed him. Why would he ever admit that?! Now she'd look like a skank! Or worse! How bad did it look that they've kissed but never gone on a date before?! It was too much, too much. Her face was probably as red as Wesley's. She couldn't take much more of this torture.

Wesley's words had shot through Lorenzo like an arrow. He backed away, somewhat disoriented by Wesley. He dropped to his knees rather dramatically, and remained there for just a moment. He then let out a wail, crawling back to his wife and placing his head on her lap again. "Dear, did you hear that?! They've kissed! I can't believe he deflowered my gorgeous daughter already! Has he no shame?! Why must I be a grandfather so young?!" He wailed dramatically. "I'm just not emotionally ready for him to get her pregnant yet! Why doesn't he understand?!"

Karolina patted his head understandingly. "But darling, it's young love, the most beautiful thing in the world." She told him as she gently raised his head so he would look at her. "Why, isn't that how we were? So young and foolish...and then we were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. Don't you think they would want to partake in that kind of happiness?"

Lorenzo sniffed. "But I'm not ready! It's too soon! Too soon!"

"There, there, darling, I'm sure they'll have plenty of grandchildren for us to spoil."

"But what if he takes her back to Dalmasca, darling?!"

"Oh my, you have a point there dear. Perhaps we could move?"

"Ah! Of course! We could be there every step of the way, I'm sure Dalmasca would be good for your health as well! Oh, this is why I love you, dear~"

"And I love you just as much, darling~"

Oh gods someone please put her out of her misery. Nadeline couldn't believe the conversation at hand. She let out an exasperated sigh, putting her head in her hands. Please someone, anyone, just make it stop!

Grant looked at Savayna with the most serious expression he has ever had. "Unfortunately, yes."
The tension could be cut with a knife. Justine couldn't believe the nerve of this boy before her. He had no idea of their struggles, the hardships they face, who the hell was he to judge? Andre looked from Justine to his daughter, though his eyes landed on his wife. Years of hearing nothing from their daughter, and this was the way she treated her? He was to blame, of course, but he couldn't believe how she was acting. Emiri released Jaakuna, walking over to her father. "Papa...I'm so sorry..." She told him quietly. After that she looked back to Jaakuna, tears streaming down her face. "You're wrong...I...I haven't changed at all..." She told him with a sad smile. Before anyone could react, Emiri ran out of the room.

She didn't even know where she was going, anywhere was better than there. She ran out the hallway, out of the hospital and into the pathway that led between the different buildings of the hospital. She found herself running off the path, however, and into the gardens. For one reason or another, it felt very familiar. She finally stopped at a secluded part of the gardens, a small fountain before her. A statue sat in the middle of the water, its hands clasped together in prayer as two angels were above it. The place was filled to the brim with lilies of all colors. She sat down, hugging her knees, and just cried. She hated herself so much right now.

One thing Wesley knew about Lorenzo was that he was very bi-polar. One moment, he so calm, but one moment he has such a high burst of energy about him. Once Wesley would slightly get out of his redness, he would get back into it. It was a never-ending cycle. Wesley just couldn’t anymore. His embarrassment got to be too much. He just didn’t know how to handle this. Then, Wesley got an idea. It was a foolish, stupid idea, but he knew he had to do it or he might just die from embarrassment.

Wesley turned to Nadeline, looking at her with the most serious expression. “The only way, I think, your dad and mother would be satisfied is for us to go on our first date. So, how does dinner sound? “ Wesley did it and he couldn’t believe it, but it was about time. He did, after all, owe her a dinner date.

Savayna was just watching what Lorenzo and Karolina were saying and then to Wesley asking out Nadeline. “Well damn, this is pretty awesome. “ Savayna said laughing it up. “Hahaha, maybe for the kicks, we should double with them, wouldn’t you agree, Grant?” Savayna said joking, but slightly serious.
And there it was. The biggest fear that Emiri had was realized as Jaakuna saw her apologize to Andre and tell Jaakuna that she hasn’t changed. Jaakuna didn’t believe it for one second. He knew that Justine was the sole reason that Emiri is even like the way she is. Maybe Andre too, but of all that Emiri has told about her parents, her mother was the one person that broke her down the worst. Jaakuna would let Emiri had her time alone, but as for Justine, Jaakuna was not done. However, after he got all of his anger out, he would actually go about it with a somewhat calm head.

“Okay, maybe we got off the wrong foot, Lady Justine.” Jaakuna said, “I..I just hate seeing Emiri like that. But you can’t pretend that you’re not the sole reason for this happening. “ Jaakuna continued, “She told me, you know. She told me about how you pretty much forbade her from having free will. She told me that you groomed her to be a fucking doll, and for what? So you can stay in your comfortable lifestyle? I’m not going to lie, when she told me, I had half a mind to come here and tell it to you straight, but I didn’t cause I knew it would mean Emiri would be sad. “ He said, getting just a few inches away from Justine. “I actually want you answer something for me. You said you love your daughter, that you and Lord Andre did all you could to give her the best.” Jaakuna said, “Did you once ask her if this life was what she wanted? Did you even think about asking her if she wanted to be shipped off as Grant’s wife? I bet if you had, just maybe Emiri would have stayed.” He asked and would state.

Jaakuna passed by Justine and went to Andre. “I am sorry, Lord Andre. I did not intend to raise my voice in such ways that would cause discomfort for you, nor did I intend for this visit from Emiri to turn so bitter and unwelcome.” Jaakuna said, pretty much requesting Andre’s forgiveness.

"I don't know how things work in whatever dreamland you come from, boy. The reality of the matter is that we all have our responsibilities. Whether we like it or not we have our parts to fulfill. Not that I would expect a disgraced prince to understand." Justine spoke, placing the newspaper back on Andre's lap. "I won't stand here and be painted as the villain. If she's content on being your whore then fine."

With that Justine exited the room. Andre let out a low groan, running his hand through his hair. This was not how he had hoped things would go. He picked up the newspaper again, looking at Jaakuna. "This is an issue that can't be solved easily, young man." He told him simply. "Years of abuse and neglect don't go away in one day. That's why I was so surprised to see her here. Gods know I don't deserve my daughter's return. But I am just as much to blame as my wife is. I let myself get caught up in work, I let my warrior side take priority over my father side. I failed them both, as a husband and a father. If I had been around, I would have noticed how far my wife's abuse was to my only child." He looked at the door wistfully. "Not even in my dreams would I have imagined Emelia walking through that door to see me. I was so sure she'd curse me for never being there for her."

He paused for a moment, though he reached for something he was wearing underneath his shirt. He pulled out a necklace, its chain golden in color. On it was a very old looking key that was clearly aged, and next to it a small heart shaped locket that didn't look as old, though the years weren't too kind to it. He took it off, placing it in Jaakuna's hand. "I think you should go find her now. This will help her, I think." He told Jaakuna quietly. "Tell her it still has some courage left in it, if she wants it."
Nadeline stared at Wesley in disbelief. Did he really just ask her out? Wait, why was this such a big deal, it's not like they didn't like each other already. Something about this made her blush slightly though she wasn't sure what it was. She felt everyone (read: her mother and father) staring intently at her. She avoided Wesley's rather intense gaze (why was that making her so uncomfortable?!) and she felt uncharacteristically shy for some weird reason. "It...sounds fine..." She mumbled as she tried to regain her composure. She felt like a young schoolgirl getting asked out by her crush.

Grant stared at Nadeline, letting out a small sigh. "Sure." He replied curtly to Savayna's question.

"Congratulations, I'm sure your children will be beautiful." Karolina clapped for Grant.

"Lady Karolina...please don't--" Grant started, but it was too late: Lorenzo had already walked over to him. He mimicked his previous action with Wesley, placing both hands on his shoulders, though while Lorenzo have him a rather serious look, Grant just looked back at him, an annoyed expression on his face. "Don't even--"

"She's too good for you bro." Lorenzo stated as-a-matter-of-factly.

"Bro, shut up.."

"Well now I know you're not gay."

Grant closed his eyes, clearly irritated. "You have three seconds to back up and take your hands off of me."

"Don't mess this up, bro,"

"Dear gods, Lorenzo, shut the fuck up."

Lorenzo let out a rather savage yell, pulling Grant off his chair. The raven haired man didn't seem too surprised at this, though when Lorenzo went to punch him, he blocked it with his hand. The blonde's eyes gleamed, his fist now gripping Grant's hand. He yanked his brother towards him, wrapping his arm around his neck and now trapping him into a headlock. Obviously Grant had been prepared for something else, and realizing he was trapped, he let out an irritated sigh. Lorenzo started ruffling his hair, at which point the younger brother started flailing around. "I'm sorry, did someone forget who the big brother was?" He laughed maniacally.

Grant flailed under his grip, torn between escape and his hair getting messed up. "Damn it Lorenzo! Cut it out!" He yelled back as he struggled to get out of his grip.

Lorenzo did stop for a moment, though he pointed at Wesley. "If I hear my daughter so much as sigh in displeasure, you're next, bro." He warned him.

"Are you saying you want him to pleasure her, darling?" Karolina asked him curiously, obviously enjoying all this a bit too much.

"WHAT?!" Lorenzo practically threw Grant to the ground, realizing what he had said. "Noooo! Now they'll think I'm promoting them having sex!"

"Well we do want grandchildren, darling."

"I suppose, dear..."

"You're crazy, I hope you know that..." Grant muttered as he started to get up, though Lorenzo promptly stopped him by sitting on him. "Get off."

Lorenzo began eating apples with Grant as his new chair. As much as they were probably enjoying making Grant uncomfortable, Nadeline needed to know the answer to why they were here. She was summoned here for a reason, afterall. "Mother, Mikaela told me you collapsed." She said, addressing the issue. "I don't understand, you look well to me."

The woman nodded sadly, finishing taking the skin off the second apple. "It was the only way to meet with you in safety, sweetheart." She told her, now looking to her husband. "Darling, won't you please explain the situation to Nadeline?"

Lorenzo was about to eat another slice, though at his wife's request he huffed. He did put the piece down and sat up properly, facing the group (though still on top of an irritated Grant). "When she says safety, she means in public, believe it or not." He explained, looking at Nadeline. "The Council wants to dethrone Reia."

Both Grant and Nadeline showed shock at this, though Grant was the first to speak. "But why? Both had gotten along well at this point."

"One way or somehow they found out Reia cannot bear children. This is a serious issue for someone ruling a country, you see." Lorenzo said, watching Karolina. "If a woman in a royal position is measured only by the ability to bear children and marry a husband, what good is an Empress who has no husband and can never bear heirs? It isn't right, but this is the way things are done here in Rozarria. My elder sister Reia ascended to the throne after my brother murdered my father in an attempt to claim the throne. He would have succeeded...if Grant did not bear witness to it."

Grant folded his arms, not appreciating that one of his secrets was just outed. Nadeline looked at her father. "What does that have to do with me?" She asked him curiously.

"The Council is trying to decide who will be Reia's successor, you or Grant." He told her, now looking down at his brother. "Normally I would be next, but with Karolina's state I need to have a constant watch on her, and the stress of it might make her ill. It is not a risk I am willing to take, so even if they named me Emperor and crowned me, I would immediately abdicate and pass it on to the next person. Rumor has it that Reia has dispatched assassins to take you and Grant out."

Nadeline let out a gasp. Would her aunt really do that to her? She couldn't believe it, she hoped her father wasn't serious, but she knew at this very moment he was. She looked at Grant, who looked back at her, though he then turned his attention to Lorenzo. "Is she aware that we have returned?" He asked.

"Of course not. So long as you are in the streets of Stigma, you are safe. The people of this city love both you and Grant, she would not dare to make a move even if she knew you were here. You are both safe. Once you leave, however, I cannot say the same thing...of course, I can't say she hired them yet, but she will soon." He let out a low groan, pouting at Karolina. "What a mess, isn't it, dear?"

Karolina nodded as she finished slicing the apple. "Indeed it is, darling."

Jaakuna just couldn’t believe this woman. Was her life before her comfortable lifestyle really that bad? What could have happened in her life to make her so bitter and cold? Jaakuna really didn’t understand. Maybe he really didn’t have any right to judge. For as long as he could remember, he was always in a comfortable lifestyle, never had to fend for himself. Well, that was until he became a sky pirate. Still, Jaakuna really didn’t understand why she was so bitter to her daughter. Even as she would say such things about how people all have their own roles to play, Jaakuna just couldn’t get past the next thing she would say, which was calling her own daughter a whore. Jaakuna could look past her mentioning his disgraced prince status, but calling Emiri a whore was where he drew the line of acceptance. However, before Jaakuna could get a chance to speak his piece again, she would leave.

As she would indeed leave, Andre would speak, well not before letting out a groan. It was no doubt cause of his injuries. He would start by telling Jaakuna that things just don’t settle in one day. Jaakuna knew that much was indeed true. Andre would continue as he would state that years of abuse and neglect doesn’t disappear in just one day He would also state that he didn’t deserve Emiri’s visit. All the while he was, Jaakuna was disagreeing with him in his mind. Sure he didn’t know this man, but he was still Emiri’s father. No matter how many years he missed out on her life, he was still her father damn it. He would continue on about how he failed both Justine and Emiri. Jaakuna kept on disagreeing with him in his mind, but he would at least let Andre finish up.

When Andre finished, he would pull out a necklace. It had a gold chain and attached to the gold chain was a golden key and heart-shaped locket. When he took it off of his neck, he placed it in Jaakuna’s let hand. He would then go tell him to go find her and give the necklace to her and tell her that still has courage in it, only if she wants it. Jaakuna wanted to say something to this, but words wouldn’t come out.

Jaakuna was about to head out, but just as he was to head to the door, he turned back to Andre. “Sir, you should know that she loves you. Emiri won’t — no, more like can’t — stop loving you. You’re her father and despite everything her mother has done to her or despite you not being there, she still does love you. Her coming here is full proof of that.” Jaakuna said, putting the necklace into his pocket. “Just don’t beat yourself over it. Every man has made mistakes in his life, you nor I are no exception to that.” Jaakuna said smiling to Andre and he departed from Andre’s room.

When Jaakuna was at the front desk, he would lean against it, looking to the man at the front desk. “Excuse me, the girl that asked about Lord Andre’s room, did she run past here?” Jaakuna asked politely.

The man, though busy, would get to Jaakuna only a few seconds later. “Ah yes, she passed by here about twenty minutes ago.” The man replied.

“Did you see which direction she went?” Jaakuna asked.

“Hmm, let’s see.“ The man was trying to remember where exactly she went and then he recalled it. “Oh yes, I remember now. She went off to the gardens just down that way, sir.” The man informed Jaakuna.

Jaakuna smiled. “Thank you. Have a nice day.” Jaakuna waved as he left.

Going down the hallway, Jaakuna jogged and walked, as he made sure that he wasn’t missing any important turns. He would go down a right turn, through a hallway, and then he would smell something. “Are those flowers I smell?” Jaakuna mused aloud. He would try to go in the direction of the smell of the flowers. In about five or six minutes, he would come to the garden and instantly the view of it was something out of a fantasy novel. The garden had several types of lilies, all varying of color and in the center of it all was a small fountain with a statue of an angel with hands in a position praying. Jaakuna slowly walked into the garden, just trying to get a sense of the calamity from the scenery of the garden. He was actually pretty amazed that Stigma had something like this. When Jaakuna walked more around, he found the person he was looking for and she was crying. Emiri was crying, knees clenched and sitting on a bench. Jaakuna sat next to her.

“This garden really is a peaceful sight.” Jaakuna said sitting next to Emiri, just looking at the flowers.
From the back and forth bantering between Grant and Lorenzo, to the sitting of the latter on the former, everyone seemed to be having quite the fun time. Well, maybe not Grant, but Savayna actually got the chance to see Grant not in his serious mode for once. She actually got to see that there was a hume being underneath all that ordinary façade. He actually had a personality. Though, Savayna didn’t think he would actually be one to straight out use foul language in front of woman. Truly, he was full of surprises today. As Savayna just laughed it all up, Wesley and Nadeline were just witnessing it all and then that’s when Lorenzo would pretty much that if his daughter isn’t pleased with hers and Wesley’s date, then he’s next. Wesley gulped in nervousness and fear. Once the silliness had faded, the attention of the real reason why Nadeline and Grant, and by association, Wesley and Savayna were all called to Rozarria.

When Karolina and Lorenzo started speaking about it, Wesley and Savayna both listened intently. The truth of the reason was revealed in the way that Empress Reia would be dethroned by the Rozarrian Council and the reason for this being simply cause she couldn’t bear children. Savayna didn’t think much of it, but Wesley thought about it and while it made sense, it was borderline betrayal. Then as they continued, they would go on to say that Reia originally ascended to the throne after her, Lorenzo’s, and Grant’s brother killed their father, with Grant seeing it all. Savayna instantly turned her attention to Grant. Was she now feeling sorry for him? She didn’t know, but now that would explain a lot. Seeing your father killed before your very eyes and just all of that would make one act in such ways that Grant did.

When Lorenzo and Karolina both finished up, the news would hit all of them differently. Wesley didn’t know what to say in this matter. He, did however, have something to say about the assassins. “Even if we should leave Stigma — whenever that may be — it’s a good thing that our temporary home is an airship.” Wesley chuckled. “Still, this is very dire news. I know not of the Empress, only what I’ve heard in rumors.” Wesley said, placing his thumb in-between his two lips and biting them. “Though, hearing all of this, the rumors are true; she would really do anything to secure her place.” Wesley was deeply troubled by this.

Savayna really had no place to speak about this, but she would. “I guess we’re just going to have to protect these two chaps, then. “ Savayna said confidently.

Wesley looked to Savayna. “As much as that statement is vague, I agree with Savayna. We must protect them at all costs.” Wesley said grabbing Nadeline’s hand and looking to her. “I meant what I said yesterday. I will protect you from any harm.” His eyes said it all.

Nadeline nodded at Wesley, happily. Something about him actually saying it made her feel somewhat giddy.

"Excellent to hear!" Lorenzo proclaimed happily, slapping Grant's head. He promptly ignored his younger brother's death glare and grinned. "It's still early, but I have an idea. You all must be weary from traveling so much. We should go to the beach!"

"You can't be serious." Grant muttered.
As Jaakuna sat down next to Emiri, she wiped away her tears. She leaned her head against his shoulder, hearing him talk about the garden.

"Nadeline and I planted these." Emiri pointed to the lilies. "They're a symbol of fortune and purity in this country. She thought if we planted a lot of them, it would help the patients get through their illnesses. So we got down, digging through the dirt, and planted them all here." She laughed a little. "But we didn't realize that we covered every inch in only lilies. There wasn't any room for any other flowers, and the other parts of the garden didn't have any lilies since we planted them all here. Grant apologized about a hundred times to the hospital staff and made sure to donate the fountain. Lorenzo got the statue--it's supposed to be the matron saint of healing, or something, I don't really remember."

Her smile faded, and she found herself holding his hand again. His touch was comforting to her, like a security blanket. "I should never have come back. I turned my back on my family and my duty as their daughter. I should have tried...I should have done something, anything. I could have asked for help...but I didn't." Emiri continued softly. "The day before my wedding, I decided that I had enough. I sold a few pieces of jewelry that I had--a pair of diamond earrings, a bracelet, and two rings Grant had given me--and I fled the country that night. I didn't say goodbye to anyone or let them know I was leaving, I just left. I didn't expect to see any of them again...I never imagined coming back, either." She looked up at the sky. "When I saw Nadeline in Bhujerba, she was angry with me. She was really angry...but I expected it. We never really talked about me leaving, though, and when we ran into her again in Rabanastre, she was glad to see me. It was as if...as if I had never left, we picked up right where we left off. When we were on the Ark and Grant came to see me at my cell, do you know what he said? 'I missed you', he said. Never mind that I had basically left him waiting at the altar, he says 'I missed you'. I couldn't believe it. And now I return here, back to the place where I was born to see my father, and he isn't angry. Not at all. He tells me that he's happy to see me. All of them had every reason to hate me for leaving, and instead none of them held it against me. It...It makes me wish I had never left."

She sat up properly, looking at Jaakuna. "Even now...even now, I should have confronted her, but I didn't. I ran away again. I haven't changed at all."

When Lorenzo mentioned the idea of a beach party, Wesley looked at him with the most stern of expressions, then he looked to Grant, who would then tell his brother that he couldn’t be serious. Though Wesley liked the idea of relaxing on a beach, was it really the most appropriate of times? Given the news of Empress Reia possibly sending assassins to kill Grant and Nadeline, was it really wise to do so? “Um, Prince Lorenzo, do you think it would be wise to do so? Given the news of Empress Reia’s…drastic measures, I think it wouldn’t be smart to have a beach party.” Wesley said being on the same boat as Grant.

Savayna looked to Grant and Wesley. “Oh, where’s your sense of fun, you two? A beach party sounds FANTASTIC! Besides, I’ve been really wanting to try out my bikini!” Savayna, for the first time in a long while, was actually looking forward to this. “Though, I don’t really know how the waters of Rozarria compare that of the Phon Coast.” She said, slightly giggling.
When Jaakuna sat down and started talking about the garden, Emiri would lay her head on his shoulder. She would go on to state that her and Nadeline were the ones that planted the lilies and that they did it to help the patients through their sick times. Jaakuna smiled at that. He would then laugh slightly as Emiri would go on to state that they planted so many that there wasn’t enough room for any other assortment of flowers. She would say that Grant apologized numerous times and donated a fountain and that Lorenzo donated the statue.

“Even though on accident, the combined efforts really did make this garden really peaceful to look at” Jaakuna commented.

As she would grab his hand, Emiri began to tell Jaakuna just about everything she was feeling. She told him that she should have never come back to Rozarria or to Stigma. She should have done something or even ask for help. She would say that she should have been a better daughter or something. Jaakuna would just let her finish; he knew this was all built up from years of running. She would continue by saying that on her wedding day, she left without saying a word, not to Grant, not to her parents — not to anyone. Jaakuna couldn’t help but feel that was almost a similar situation that he was in. Of course not exactly the same, but some of the core aspects are the same. Emiri would then go on to say that while on the Ark, Grant told her that he missed her and how her father, much like Grant, wasn’t all that angry with her at all. Jaakuna just listened to her finish. The last bits she would say was that she should have confronted her mother back in her father’s hospital room, but she didn’t.

When she was finally done, Jaakuna would speak. “I don’t believe you.” Jaakuna said, “If you indeed haven’t changed, then you would have never came here. Despite hearing about your father’s condition, if you truly were the girl that you say you are, then you wouldn’t have come back here.” Jaakuna stated as he looked to her. “The fact that you did come back to Stigma is absolute proof that you’ve changed so much. Whether you’re willing to believe or admit matters not to me. I know it in my heart that you’ve grown so much since I first met you.” Jaakuna said.

Jaakuna turned his gaze to the sky. He smiled slightly and turned his gaze to Emiri once more. “You know, your father didn’t think you would come to visit him. He told me himself that you would for sure curse him out for not being there for you when you were growing up. “Jaakuna said. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the necklace that Andre asked him to give to him. “He asked me to give this necklace to you. He said it still has a bit of courage left in it.” Jaakuna said as he held the necklace in both hands by the top of the chain, and it dangled in the air.

Emiri stared at the necklace in Jaakuna's hands. There was something she definitely didn't think she would be seeing again. She reached out for it but hesitated, as if afraid if she touched it, it would disappear. Her fingers grasped the chain, feeling its cool touch to her fingertips. She looked at Jaakuna, her expression slightly confused, but she took the necklace from him. She played around with it for a little bit, unsure of what to say. She didn't deserve his confidence. He really believed in her. Taking in a small breath, she put the chain over her head, letting the necklace dangle onto her skin and she stood up.

"I hope you're right." She told him, extending her hand. "Let's join up with the others for now. When I'm ready...I'll go back."
"Wesley, perhaps we could use the break, considering so much has happened." Nadeline replied to Wesley's concern. "Besides, as long as we are in public, Reia wouldn't think about attacking...yet." She was craving a day off. They had worked tirelessly the past few days without much reprieve, so while she would usually agree that it was too dangerous, she really, really wanted to take just one day off.

Lorenzo let out a cheer, though he pondered for a moment as Savayna mentioned the Phon Coast. "The Phon Coasts' waters are more refreshing, though Stigma's waters are clearer--at the shores we have water magicite instead of regular rocks, it makes the waters cleaner." He clapped his hands together, finally getting off of Grant. He pulled his little brother up from the ground, dusting him off lightly. "I'd recommend going to Calyx Beach, it's a little more reserved, so to speak. Mainly rich folks and nobles occupy it, so it won't be too crowded."

Karolina nodded, standing up. "Oh, how fun, we haven't been to the beach in some time, not since Emelia was here, anyway." She mused.

Nadeline perked up at her mother's statement. "She's with us, she went to see Lord Andre, though." She said.

"How nice, I know he misses her terribly. But we all have our reasons for doing the things we do, even if others can't understand it." Karolina lightly patted some dirt off of Grant's shoulder. "Someday I hope the family can reconcile, it's just terrible to see your loved ones so sad. I wonder how much she has grown?"

"Hopefully not too much, she's too pretty as it is!" Lorenzo declared.

Grant shot him a look. "You are ridiculous, I hope you know that."

When Emiri took the necklace and put it around her neck, she would then stand up and say that they should join up with the others. Jaakuna agreed and he would stand up taking her hand. They would walk, hand-in-hand, and start heading to Lady Karolina’s room as they would enter the elevator.
After Wesley’s protest to having a gathering at the beach, Nadeline would go on to state how it would be good for everyone after the few days of non-stop work and fighting. While Wesley wanted to argue with that point, he just couldn’t bring himself to do so. What Nadeline had said were all very good points and at the very least, they can soak up some sun. “Very well then. I guess I am outnumbered.” Wesley admitted.

After Wesley had agreed, Lorenzo would respond to Savayna about how she wondered how the beaches of Stigma would compare to that of the Phon Coast. Lorenzo would state that while the shores of the Phon Coast are more refreshing, the shores of Stigma are more clearer and that unlike the shores of the Phon Coast, which have natural rock, Stigma has magicite that makes the water just clearer. Savayna would definitely have to see this to believe what Lorenzo was saying.

As the mention of Emiri came up, to their surprise, mainly Savayna as she was turning her head(and her body) to stretch it, she saw Jaakuna and Emiri at the doorway. “Well, speak of the devils.” Savayna exclaimed. “We were just talking about you, Miss Priss---” Savayna was about to say, but then Wesley socked her arm again. “Would you stop doing that!? It hurts.” She snapped to Wesley, but he was just looking on like he had done nothing wrong. Savayna just growled.
