Savayna was amused even further. He truly had no idea as to what Savayna was alluding to. Perhaps she should enlighten him on the matter. Maybe if she were to, then there would be a shift in loyalties. Maybe if she were to speak the truth of which she has been laughing at Ramon for not knowing, it would present multiple opportunities.

“Fine, Roman, you want to know do you? Okay, here it is…” Before she could get to it, she heard something.
As Jaakuna had launched the attack forward, he didn’t know what was happening until Emiri touched his hand. Then he knew. She was using her powers…again. As useful as they may be, Jaakuna knew that this couldn’t be good for her, not in the slightest. For now, Jaakuna would have to go with her as he put his Iga Blade away with one hand and she grabbed his other hand and they started to run.

Within less of a minute, the two of them arrived at the aerodome, bypassing Roman, Savayna, and the nine Archadian soldiers(five warriors, four mages). Within less than twenty seconds, Jaakuna and Emiri were mere yards away from Ifrit. That’s where time resumed for everyone. Jaakuna knew they had only a few minutes before anyone would catch on.

Jaakuna noticed that Emiri wasn’t doing well, so he put her over his right shoulder to help her save her strength just a bit. They beamed up and Jaakuna put Emiri down. Just in the nick of time, he started Ifrit and within one more minute they would be out of range of Bhujerba and Jaakuna put the ship in hyper speed, granting him a hasty getaway. Within the few minutes that the ship would had been flying, Jaakuna and Emiri would find themselves over almost to Rabanastre. Jaakuna would put the ship’s invisible cloak on just to be safe.

Now having it on autopilot, Jaakuna went over to Emiri, who was sitting on one of the bench-like things just down the hall from the Cockpit. “How are you holding up? Surely that last usage of your ability has you exhausted?” Jaakuna said as he asked Emiri how she was doing.
“Dammit! “ She roared. Her eyes livid at the fact that she missed the chance. “You see, this is what happens when you don’t let me get the murderer of your father in custody, but nooooo, you JUST had to play the protocol card.’ She hissed. “I was right. You ARE the stupid brother.” She said as she went and gathered her men. They would follow them, but it would be too late. Already out of range, Savayna had no choice but to go back to Archadia and face her punishment there.

Jaakuna's concern was well placed, his observation was not quite accurate. As they flew further away, the strange feeling vanished. Still, what in the world could that have been? It didn't matter right now, though. She never thought she would be so happy to be in the Ifrit again, considering last time she was absolutely dreading her fate as she was being lead to her doom. She was smiling, a legitimate, gentle, happy smile on her face. She could cry, she was so happy that they both got out alright. For now, they were safe. For now, she was safe. And it was thanks to him. In a moment of pure bliss, something that she even surprised herself by doing, Emiri slid off the bench and onto her knees, landing right in front of Jaakuna. She then slipped her arms over his shoulders and pulled him into a hug.

She was so grateful that she didn't notice that she had kept them like that for a moment. When she did realize it, however, she did pull back, slightly embarrassed. "Forgive me, I just...thank you." The way her eyes gleamed with gratitude was indescribable.

She then stood up, brushing herself off. She was still a little cold, but her hug had warmed her up, so to speak. Not that she would ever admit it. She then cleared her throat, placing her hands behind her back. Her euphoria faded somewhat, and they needed a plan, so to speak. As she opened her mouth to voice her thoughts, her expression suddenly fell. She raised a hand to her cheek, it burning something fierce. She had completely forgotten about it, she was so caught up in her own emotions she failed to realize what exactly was traced on Aloa's heels. Emiri froze, her eyes wide, her expression one of panic as she let out a small gasp. Suddenly, everything hurt, every limb and bone, and pain shot through her body. She reached out for Jaakuna, but as quickly as it came, she felt herself thrown into darkness.

Emiri collapsed onto the floor of the Ifrit.

Jaakuna was surprised, but not shocked. A hug from Emiri was well-placed. Though, he was feeling…odd. Today’s events surely have been quick, but they have bonded quite fast given how they met. Now, onto the hug,Jaakuna didn’t see it coming. Maybe it was a moment of weakness, but Jaakuna didn’t mind it. For the brief moment it was there, he returned the hug, as he gave a slight embrace himself. However, it was cut short as Emiri had pulled away, obviously showing slight embarrassment. The strange thing about that is that Jaakuna also showed some redness. If not from the hug itself, but then maybe from his disappointment of the shortness that the hug had.

Jaakuna stratched his head. ‘Uh..yeah, no problem.” He said his eyes diverting from Emiri’s own.

Jaakuna had then stood up as Emiri did the same. He was surprised she had the strength to stand up. Jaakuna would have thought she was too weak to do so, but after a few seconds, his thoughts became reality as he saw her acting funny. In another time lapse of a few seconds, Emiri collapsed on the ground, missing Jaakuna’s arms. “Emiri!” Jaakuna sad as he had her in his arms anyways as he had lifted her upper-body up a bit with one arm. He was trying to see what happened, and then he saw it. Her face was green, bubbles of poison oozing from her face. Jaakuna didn’t know how she got poisoned, but right now all he cared about was getting her better.

Jaakuna set Emiri against one of the metal parts of the area they were in. He went down the hall, specifically towards cabinet that he keeps all sorts of potions and antidotes. Just by him getting an antidote, Jaakuna got one small vile of it and went back to where Emiri was. He knelt down and put the vile in her mouth. “Here drink this. It’ll help you.” Jaakuna said as he lifted the vile, hoping she would drink it.

Antidotes were never pleasant tasting. Still, the disgusting liquid had cured her of her ailment, and Emiri felt silly for panicking like she did. She coughed, sticking her tongue as the taste nearly made her throw up. Once she felt steady, she leaned back against the wall, breathing in heavily. She had apparently leapt to conclusions in assuming they were safe. She looked at Jaakuna, and let out a laugh.

"I must ask for your forgiveness again, I was careless." She rubbed her cheek lightly, her cut poison free. She then ran a finger over the cut, intending to heal it, but though she was away from whatever was messing with her powers, it seemed like she still had some trouble grasping it. She winced as the cut reopened itself.

"What should we do know?" She asked, slightly irritated at her cut cheek. "We've not one but two nations to avoid now. I don't suppose you're one for hiding though, are you?"

-----

"I have my ticket for home already, sir." Nadeline said, waving said ticket around. "Believe me, Aloa forced me to purchase it in front of her so that I would return to Stigma. However, I did want to speak with you before my departure."

The white haired man sat at his desk, beckoning for the blonde haired girl to do the same. She gratefully accepted, and the two sat in a comfortable silence as Nadeline gathered her thoughts. She wanted to let Roman know of the events of the night, but wasn't exactly sure where to start. It had been a long night for both of them for different reasons. To her surprise, he spoke first, "I have to ask Your Highness to forgive my younger brother. He is a bit...on the irascible side."

Nadeline shrunk in her seat, letting out a nervous laugh. It seemed he was aware of the fight after all. She quickly cleared her throat as she didn't have much time. "Of course. I had thought that you should know of the events that had transpired this evening...as well as resuming a previous conversation of ours." She paused for a moment, and decided to start from the so called beginning--Emiri. "The weapon my aunt was looking for...it's a Hume. I know her personally. I think I saw her power as she and Jaakuna somehow escaped past you and the Archadian general."

"The young lady that was with my brother? Interesting."

"Yes, they're lovers you see, that's why they escaped together."

What? For once Roman was completely thrown off guard. That was surprising, to say the least, especially since last he recalled, technically speaking Jaakuna was still married to Savayna. At least, he thought so. Would a marriage be null if one of the lovers disappeared and became a criminal? And despite his crude nature, Jaakuna wasn't that much of a playboy. Mainly flirting but never really going anywhere. At least, that's what Roman thought.

"I...I see...how..." What was the word he was looking for?

"Romantic, isn't it?" Nadeline gushed, positively blushing as she grinned from ear to ear.

He was going to say unusual, but he'd just wait until he saw Jaakuna again to confirm the situation, lest he incured Savayna's wrath by mentioning his new partner (Girlfriend? Lover? Now he was getting curious). Nadeline was also strangely enthusiastic about it.

"I'm green with envy." Roman managed to say.

"Me too!"

The princess obviously did not recognize sarcasm.

As Emiri got up, Jaakuna was relieved. It was a clear indication that the antidote worked. Jaakuna wasn’t all that worried, but he probably had a slight doubt in his mind. He did show his relief as he stood up and sort of sniffed in. That was a neurological tendency that he shows when he’s relieved, but doesn’t want to show it via him being embarrassed, which he was at the moment that he did that.

As she did stand up, Emiri was apologizing for being careless. Jaakuna didn’t think she was careless. “What are you talking about? You couldn’t have known that you would get poisoned. Don‘t be sp hard on yourself.” Jaakuna said as he put her worried to rest; or at least he hoped that he did.

Hearing her bringing up what they should do now, Jaakuna was certainly at a stalemate. He was in agreement with her about how the two biggest empires of Ivalice were after them. And she was right about him not really being for hiding, but not like he had much of a choice. He did know that eventually they would have to tackle this, but it was late and Jaakuna was wiped and so was Emiri, he’s assuming.

“Let’s figure out what to do in the morning.” Jaakuna said as he started walking past Emiri. “Go get some sleep.” He said as he had stopped the ship just a few miles west of the Royal City of Rabanastre. The magical chain that kept the ship in park, so to speak, was launched to the desert below and the invisible cloak was still in place. As Jaakuna did that, he instantly passed Emiri, again, and went towards the elevator that went only to his room and to the bridge/cockpit area. He did that and within a minute he was at his room. Once he got to his room, he took off his jacket, weapons, pants, shoes(and socks), and nothing was left but his red and white boxers. He just went for his bed, taking some of the blanket off so he can get into it and as he clapped, the AC was on, lights went off, and to dreamland he went.
8 hours later

It’s morning in the Archadian Empire and it has not been a very fun morning in any sense of the word. Word has been crossed to Vincent that Savayna was not only unsuccessful in retrieving Jaakuna or the ship Ifrit, but she caused some unhappy times in Bhujerba. Of course, Vincent didn’t even think she would go that far to obtain Jaakuna. Like seriously taking nine soldiers to the neutral city that both the Rozarrian AND Archadian Empires both need on their side. Vincent wasn’t happy about that when he read it from his brother, Marquis Roman’s report. Nevertheless, a meeting with her would be had.

In his office or throne room, as some would call it, there sat Vincent, arms bent on the big table and fingers laced together. Only his piercing red eyes were seen as he was leaning forward slightly and a very upset expression on his face.

Suddenly, three somewhat loud knocks were at his door. “Come in.“ He spoke aloud.

It was Michelangelo. He walked in, and also walked down the carpet, stopping at the three steps that are before the table. “Your grace.” He said, bowing before Vincent. “My boss, and your sister-in-law, Savayna Glacie is outside as you requested.” He said, announcing that Savayna was waiting outside.

He let out a single chuckle. “Good. Send her in, would you Michel?” He said.

Michel bowed and nodded.

Within a few minutes, Michel would leave his grace’s office, and outside waiting would be Savayna, obviously not happy. “Go in.” Michel said.

Savayna hissed as she and Michel walked passed each other in opposite directions. They gave each other looks as if there was some bad blood between them. Michel stopped her. “If I were you, I would beg for mercy.” Michel said, his voice in a very threatening tone.

Savayna just shrugged what Michel said. It was within a minute or so that she entered, walked down the carpet. Her armor click and clacking in noise. Stopping in front of the three steps before Vincent’s table, she spoke. “Your grace. “ She said as she bowed.

Vincent was upset at her, but not angry. “Oh, Savayna, my dear sister-in-law, what am I to do with you?” He said as he stood up, hands locked behind his back.

Savayna was starting to be fearful of Vincent. “Whatever it is you wish of me, your grace.” She said.

Vincent rounded around his desk and in front of Savayna as he was in front of his own desk. He leaned against it. “I gave you a simple order and that was to retrieve my brother and my father’s ship, but you couldn’t even do that right. “ He said, his tone at a very intimidating type. “Tell me, why should I even keep you as my top General? You obviously can’t get one job done and then you have the audacity to both bring soldiers to the neutral city of Bhujerba, but you brought fear to my older brother’s people.” He said as he had finished what he had to say. Hearing what she had to say would be something he’s interested to hear.

She was shaken up…and surprised. Savayna thought that Roman would have included the hostage situation in his report, but he didn’t. That confused Savayna, but she was also happy that he didn’t. That meant that she would just have to come up with an excuse of some kind to get out of this slight mess she has dug herself in.

“Well, your lordship, I just thought that maybe the extra muscle would be able to squeeze out information from your brother. I see now that I was wrong in thinking so. For that, you have my deepest apologies. “ She said, bowing her head.

Vincent wasn’t pleased with her answer, but he would accept it. Obviously she was just doing what she thought was right, but that’s the problem. “Savayna, I put trust in you. I give you my men with full authority and this is how you repay me?” He walked up to her., stopping just inches away from her. “I’m going to have to teach you a lesson about respect. “ He said turning around, hands still behind his back. “Strip.”

Her icy-blue eyes widened. The feeling of fear, dread, and excitement was all rolling up in one big bag of emotions. “W-w-what?” She spoke.

“You heard me. Remove your clothing for me now.” He said as he turned her head around to her direction.

Despite her being totally against it, Savayna did it by first removing her armor, which took a few minutes, then she started to remove her dress. Slipping it off one strap at a time, she was reduced to her bare bra and underwear, which shared an icy-blue and silver shade. “Here, happy?” She said, turning away.

Vincent turned around, displeased. “All of it.” He looked at her with displeasure.

“You can’t be serious!?”
“Oh but I am. Now, do it.”

At this point, Savayna was in tears. Crying each time she had to remove a strap from her bra. After she did that, she then removed her panties, showing nothing but her birthday suit. “Does this please his lordship?” She said, turning her head away.

“Come here!”
“Yes your grace.”

As she walked over to him, he took her, wrapping his arms around her bare body. He embraced her, and she, for a moment, was happy. She embraced him too, and then things took a nasty turn. He bent her over his table, and slapped her ass. The sound of it rippled through the empty room. His lower body pressed against hers, his upper-body leaned forward, his head(his mouth) near her ears. “Is this how my brother did it?” He whispered in her ear.

By this point, Savayna had shock and disgust all over her face and in mind. She couldn’t believe it. She turned around, but the force that Vincent had on her was too much. She couldn’t break free. She tried as hard as she could, but she just couldn’t.

“Stop it, Vincent! STOP IT!” She yelled at the top of her voice.

Vincent turned her around, and with a forceful knee, he drove it right into her gut. As a result, she grasped her gut and fell to her knees. Vincent laughed slightly.

“NEVER call me by my name ever again.” Vincent said as he was at ear-level with her. “Now, put some clothes on. You look pathetic.” He said as he turned to the balcony and waved her away.

She couldn’t believe what kind of man he was. So ashamed of herself, she quickly put her bra and panties on as well as her dress and then her armor, and she ran away, crying as she did so. She forced her way through the doors and as she ran past Michel, she didn’t stop. He saw that she was crying. He was speechless. He didn’t know what happened in there, but definitely it wasn’t something that he wished to know, at least not yet.

Everything in her room was a pleasant violet color, as it was his favorite, just as the lavender was. It was only fitting that his fiancé have what he wanted, after all. But on that day, a few more colors were introduced to the room. A dazzling gold, an elaborate design decorating the edges of the veil. A shining silver, for the ring to be placed on her finger. An opulent white, the color of her dress, symbolizing her innocence and purity. These colors were bright, bringing in a new feeling to her room.

The feeling was one of dread.

The proposal was romantic. Dinner with the Emperor himself present, the finest cuisine in front of them. He had interrupted the meal to make a speech, and at the end she found him on one knee before her. Everyone looked at her with anticipation, as if her answer was something she would consider. A great cheer followed, and afterwards came wine and more celebrating. The planning for the wedding began immediately.

And so she stood in the middle of her room, a great mirror before her as many maids fussed around her. One toyed with the hem of the dress, as she was quite small compared to most people. Another attacked the tangles in her hair, bringing it into a gorgeous braid decorated with white lilies. One more fussed over the corset, as her bust was greater than most (something that while the males appreciated, the females thought indecent).

"Where is the veil?" A woman with chocolate hair wrapped into a neat bun asked, her arms folded as she watched the events before her.

A maid came forward with a box containing that which she wanted. She untopped it, and together they placed it gingerly over her head. A few of them actually gasped, some wiping a tear, all of them looking quite pleased at their masterpiece. The girl only stared at herself in the mirror, expression blank as the women congratulated one another.

"Well done, ladies." The brown haired woman was pleased with the results, and she took the girl's hand, her thumb on the diamond that her fiancé had presented her. "What do you think, my daughter?"

To most, this question seemed like her mother was, well, asking for her opinion. The reality was that it was far from it. She was not asking what she thought. She was telling her to say what she wanted to hear. She did not stop looking at the mirror as she recited, "Wonderful, Mother. I believe His Highness will be pleased as well."

One of the maids then frowned. She then came forward, bowing. "A thousand pardons, but...I do not believe that the veil you selected will work." She then pointed to her head. "You see, my lady, once she is married, they will place her crown on her head."

Her mother looked at the maid in disbelief. "And exactly why have you all failed to mention this until NOW?" She snapped, letting go of her hand as she reeled on the maids.

"It isn't something that can't be fixed." One offered nervously.

"Yes, we could perhaps modify the veil?" Another spoke.

"Or we could discard it." One interjected.

"The veil is necessary! We must make it work!" Yet another exclaimed.

As the women began to squabble amongst themselves, the girl closed her eyes. She then carefully removed her veil and went behind the changing shades. She removed her dress, slipping into one colored a pleasant green, and simply walked out of the room. Her heels clicked against the floors of the palace, echoing off the walls.

Another set of footsteps followed; she stopped, and as she turned to greet her mother, was met with, "I did not dismiss you. We were not finished back there.]/b]"

She looked out the windows, at the many birds flying by. Gathering up courage, she looked at her mother. "[b]I do not wish to get married.
"

Those words were as insulting as they were, and her mother was seething at this point. "You wish? YOU wish? Child, have you lost your mind?" She snapped. "When your father hears about this..."

"I could care less." She snapped back, clearly matching her mother's anger.

"You listen here young lady, after everything your father and I have done to make sure you could eat, that you could have toys, that you had a roof over your head--this marriage is for your sake, so that you may lead a comfortable life." She said, her voice somewhat more controlled. "Tell me, what do you have to gain from refusing this? Please tell, because I can't understand."

"My sake? More like yours!" His words rang in her head at this moment. "Exchanging the hand of your daughter for a title...it's sickening. All you're doing is using me!"

She slapped her daughter sharply, enraged at this point. "Whatever it is you are babbling on about needs to stop immediately. You WILL obey me, you will NOT disrespect me, do you understand?!"

A doll after all, because after that she never defied her wishes.

Emiri's eyes fluttered open, wincing as the pain in her cheek rose sharply. She groggily emerged from the tangle of blankets she was in, and touched her cut. Viera magicks were truly something to behold after all. She had finally gotten the cut to close, but the pain didn't seem to want to go away. Then again, she could place some of the blame on remembering the very first time she had defied her mother.

She sighed, almost wanting to go back to bed, but forced herself to get up. She had decided to sleep in her underwear, and as a result had buried herself in multiple blankets. She shivered slightly, tip toeing to the closet. She opened it carefully, stifling a yawn as she rummaged through them, trying to decide what to wear.

One blue dress caught her attention. She examined it, admiring the detail, though once more lamented at its shortness. She was tracing the hemline when, for some reason, she thought the pattern looked almost like a snowflake. She puled the dress closer to her, and something clicked in her head.

These were her dresses.

Emiri dropped the dress in shock at the realization. Why didn't Jaakuna mention anything? Maybe the one she had on was one that Savayna didn't wear much? Briefly, her mind wandered in another place as she pictured the geneal wearing the more casual dresses. It made sense; they were short to show off her gorgeous legs, and she was unsure because of the armor, but perhaps she had a smaller bust then Emiri. She felt weird. Why? The thought of these clothes being on that woman made her slightly uncomfortable. Maybe that's why Jaakuna never said anything? Or maybe because they reminded him of her?

Emiri then sighed, picking up the dress and tossing it back where it was. Why was she getting so worked up about this, anyway? It's not like it was any of her business. And she was just borrowing them. Still, as she looked through her choices, she made a point not to wear anything blue, deciding on a simple red dress that didn't quite match her boots, but she didn't really care.

Mmaking her way to the kitchen, Emiri searched the cupboards. Upon feeling like a nice cup of coffee, she left it on the stove as she contemplated their options. She half-wished she could've properly spoken to Nadeline. Or at least knew what the Viera had in store for her. Once the coffee finished, she left the pot on the stove as she started cooking breakfast. Like everything else on the ship, it was simply divine.

"Spare us your stories, I know who you are and what you've done."

Emiri vaguely remembered Nadeline's words. The ship made much more sense if you thought of Jaakuna as a prince. Why then, would a prince be going around as a Sky Pirate? Not like I don't have my fair share of secrets. She grimly reminded herself. For now, she didn't care. Besides, if she asked him about his past, then she might have to reveal hers...though Nadeline had shed some light on it. Emelia. Just remembering her name made her blood boil.

She realized she was holding her cup much too tightly, and set it down. No, it wasn't that she didn't want to reveal her past. She just didn't want to remember it.

In his room, Jaakuna had the blankets all over the bed and half-hanging off of the bed. His right hand was in his pants and the other supporting his head by it being a butterfly-like formation. As he scratched his balls, Jaakuna slowly opened up his eyes. The first thing that he saw when he opened them was the bright light from the sun beaming from his sunroof. He turned around, hands off from his head and his pants, Jaakuna looked towards the clock. It was around 10am. Jaakuna sighed as he laid his head back down on his fluffy pillows. He laid there for a few minutes. He wanted to keep on sleeping, but he knew he had to get up fully.

“I.R.I.S.(Integrated Reality Intelligence System), is Emiri up yet” Jaakuna said as he wiped his eyes with his hands.

“Yes sir, she is. She’s in the kitchen in the barracks having coffee. Shall I inform her that you’re awake?” Iris spoke, asking Jaakuna if she should inform emiri of him awakening.

“Yeah, that’s fine.”
“It shall be done, sir.”

“Miss Emiri. Master Jaakuna wishes me to inform you that he is awake. He will be down to the kitchen shortly.” Iris said as her voice resonated through the speakers and walls of the kitchen in the visitor barracks.

"Little bread-and-butterflies kiss the tulips,
and the sun is like a toy balloon.
There are get up in the morning glories,
in the golden afternoon.
There are dizzy daffodils on the hillside,
strings of violets are all in tune,
Tiger lilies love the dandy lions,
in the golden afternoon, the golden afternoon.
"

Emiri sang to herself, quite pleased that she managed to cook without burning anything. Not that she was a bad cook, but she hardly made breakfast anymore. She usually settled for a cup of coffee and maybe a muffin, but she thought Jaakuna might be hungry. A voice distracted her, and she looked around for the source. It notified her of Jaakuna's awakening. What in the world was that, though? She was sure she was alone. "...Thank you...?" She said, still looking around. "Who...who is there?" She asked, rather confused.

Jaakuna had taken the time to shower up. It was quick and fast, maybe about ten minutes. He just wanted to freshen up. He had washed his body and hair two times over and as he got out, he wrapped a towel around his waist and went to his closet. He just picked out a few things. First, he got a pair of semi-bleached out grey pants. As he picked out that, he also grabbed a black shirt. He also picked up his shoes that he always wears, and put on his red jacket over it. He let his hair just hang out as that’s how he prefers to wear it.

Heading down via the elevator, Jaakuna came down just in time to hear Emiri ask what that noise she heard was.

“I am I.R.I.S., the ship’s AI, Miss Emiri. Do tell me how I can be of assistance.” IRIS said as she went quiet.

Jaakuna walked in, instantly smelling that delicious smell within the air. “Damn, what are you cooking? It smells delish~” He said as he sat down, pouring himself a cup of coffee before he did so.

There it was again! And it knew her name! She was kinda freaking out at this point, unsure how to comprehend a talking machine. She had simply never seen anything like this before, really. It was extraordinary. Jaakuna entered the kitchen asking what was on the stove, but the talking spirit was slightly more important at the moment. She quickly served Jaakuna his food, scrambled cockatrice eggs and ham, and tugged at his sleeve. "It talks!" Emiri squeaked to Jaakuna, as if he didn't already know. "What...what kind of sorcery is this? No, it must be magitek...or perhaps the ship is possessed? A spirit? A demon?" The bewildered brunette was in a state of shock, so to speak, still looking around for the source. "Where is it coming from? And..." She paused, noticing he was actually wearing a shirt for once. "And why are you wearing that shirt?"

Jeez, does she have no decency. IT’S THE FUCKING MORNING! Jaakuna just rubbed his temples at the very overreaction and imagination of Emiri. Surely she has never heard of an AI. Jaakuna was both irritated and amused at this lack of knowledge that Emiri had..or rather didn’t have.

“ Sheesh woman, you sure don’t know a bit about how far technology as come. It’s a fucking A.I, dumbo.” Jaakuna said as he sipped his coffee. Then he heard her ask him why he wearing the shirt that he is wearing. “What, are you a shirt racist now? It’s just a black fucking shirt. Seriously, you’re dumb when you don’t have your coffee.’ Jaakuna said as he simply sipped his coffee some more, holding his cup with two hands.

The brunette huffed, displeased at his insults. She wasn't dumb! She just...had very little interaction with technology. Any technology, really, she just didn't grasp their mechanisms, assuming it was magic or...or something. He stated that the voice was an A.I. She wanted to ask what it was, but declined, if only to spare herself from being mocked for her lack of education. She then refilled her cup, turning to Jaakuna and crossing her arms. "For your information, I already had my coffee. Some of us are accustomed to waking up early." She said, taking her seat opposite his. She also refrained from commenting on his shirt, not wanting to admit that not seeing his bare chest was odd. He would surely get a kick out of that, no doubt.

She sank into her seat, pouting somewhat, though her eyes did quickly look around. This ship truly was beyond her understanding. As a moment passed by, however, she recalled her question for him. Should she tread upon that territory? What if it upset him? Trying to approach the situation gingerly, she mimicked him, holding her coffee with both hands, lifting it to her face. She then placed her cup down, eyeing him carefully. Just say it, you're acting all fidgety. She reprimanded herself. "I wanted to ask..." She carefully chose her words, lest she feel his fury. "Whose clothes are the womens'? They seem to all be the same size, so I assumed..." That they were Savayna's. That thought seriously irked her for a moment, and it showed on her face, though she caught herself and continued, "I assumed they belonged to one person." She finished with a grumble, annoyed. Just thinking about her was upsetting her. Why?

Getting all angry? For what? Jaakuna just continued with his coffee, not even responding to what Emiri said about having her coffee already, but about the last bit, he felt the need to actually respond back. “Yeah, well I’m not. I prefer not to hear annoying birds chirp. It’s fucking annoying. I prefer the sounds of my farts waking me up.” JAakuna said as he had finished his coffee. He walked over to the sink, and put in there, turning on the fosit as he did to wash the leftover liquid .

As he did that, Jaakuna proceeded to get some breakfast. He just got some bread and cheese Just getting a bit of it, he started eating as he had sat down in the chair that he was sitting in before. As he ate, taking in one bite at a time, Emiri started talking, well asking a question is more like it. What she had to ask prompted Jaakuna to spit out his food in total surprise, some of it getting on Emiri’s face. “W-what?” Jaakuna said as he quickly got a napkin and wiped off his face as cheese and crumbs of bread had gotten on his face. What she had asked had taken him by surprise. He didn’t expect that so early in the morning.

“Well, um, yeah you’re right. “ Jaakuna said as he tried to eat as quickly as he could. “What brought this up?” Jaakuna said as he tried to get to the bottom of it without wanting to know specifics, but he did, even though he wouldn’t admit that.

Emiri was rather shocked when he actually spit his food out, moreso when some of it landed on her face. With a slight cough, she gently wiped her face, though shot him a look. Were all men this gross? Hard to believe he was a prince. Grant had never been so crude--Oh you stop that thought right there! Her body got heated as she was reminded of him. With a cluck of her tongue, she sipped her coffee as Jaakuna spoke, eyeing him warily. It looked like he had taken a page out of her book, and was scarfing down her food. She prepared another napkin in case he felt the need to show him his food.

She was right. Damn it. Did she really want to continue? Part of her wanted to drop the conversation right then and there. Her skin crawled as she imagined him slipping her dress off, their two bodies embracing as--whoa, whoa, whoa, what?! What in the world am I thinking THAT for?! She bit her lip, looking at Jaakuna. Why was she thinking of that?! She shifted slightly in her seat, trying to regain her composure. Truly she was going mad, imagining such a situation. Well, he did inform her that she was his only lover. Meanwhile Emiri had hardly even seen a man naked, let alone do...it. And what business of it was hers to know, really? They were married, it was natural, wasn't it?

Emiri lowered her gaze to her own dress. "It's...it's hers, isn't it?" She asked quietly, suddenly becoming very interested in her cup and avoiding eye contact with Jaakuna. "Your...wife. Right?" She hated that word, instantly regretting asking.

An odd look appeared on Jaakuna’s face. He hadn’t had this discussion with anyone before because there was no need for it. Jaakuna was never asked about his past or his marriage to Savayna because there was no need. He never got close to anyone, or at least not for enough time for said people to be able to question him about his wife/ex-wife. So, Jaakuna wasn’t prepared for this conversation, but he knew he had to have it.

Setting his food aside, Jaakuna slid the plate to the side. “Well, it’s a little more complicated than that. “Jaakuna spoke as he looked down at the table, then he looked back up. “Yes, they are — were her clothes, and yes she’s my wife — erm ex-wife, I don’t know. “Jaakuna stood up, looking at the sink, then back at Emiri. “There‘s a lot you don‘t know about me, about her, and why I ran from my home three years ago."Jaakuna said as he was leaning against the sink, hands on it as his elbows were bent in a position that made them that way when he set his hands on the edge of the sink.

She had half a mind to rip off the dress right then and there and trek to Rabanastre to get new clothes. She didn't understand why she was so ticked off at this bit of information. She even figured as much, so why? She tapped the cup rapidly with her nail, once more remembering Nadeline's words. Yeah, there was a lot she didn't know about him. But maybe, just maybe it was better that way. For now, anyway. Right? Right...No, it wasn't right. She plain just didn't want to know. Why? Was she afraid of knowing something terrible? Or did she not want to hear him tell her that he still loved Savayna?

That right there stirred her up once more, and she found herself bearing a very angry expression. Taking in a deep breath, she calmed herself down, absentmindedly picking at an imaginary piece of lint on her clothing. "I was just wondering. They're quite beautiful, she has very good taste." She lied right through her teeth, though she stood up. Leaving her cup where it was, she started walking back to her room. What was wrong with her? Why was she acting so weird? There was a plethora of mixed feelings in her head right now, and she didn't know what was going on, really.

Jaakuna wasn’t the smartest guy, but even his cluelessness had a limit. He knew something was bothering Emiri. He didn’t know what it was or why she was getting so annoyed, but the Sky Pirate definitely knew there was something bothering her. He knew that much as she had just got up and left to go to the barracks. Jaakuna would definitely want to find out what exactly was bothering her and why Jaakuna saying all the dresses he has in the barracks area were Savayna’s bothered her so much.

So, Jaakuna followed her, being able to stop her as he grabbed her hand, and yanked her back to him. Jaakuna gripped her tight, and he looked into her bold violet eyes. “You want to tell me what’s wrong with you? Why does it bother you so much that the dresses are Savayna’s?” Jaakuna said as he pretty much demanded an answer as his tone was in a yelling manner.

The brunette was quite surprised when her hand was grabbed, and as she was about to turn she was yanked towards Jaakuna. He held her tightly, and for just a moment, she got lost in his eyes. They were quite a nice shade of green, the polar opposite of his fiery personality. Why, they were lovely--is this how others felt when they say her eyes? She stared at him for a while, but when she caught herself, she felt her face flush entirely. She didn't need a vanity mirror to know her cheeks were probably as red as his sweater Oh gods am I starting to actually like him? In a panic, she vehemently denied that option, but it did make sense. The gods have a funny sense of humor, having me start to like my would be kidnapper. Maybe it was just yesterday's events. She remembered embracing him.

If her blush could get any redder, it would happen then and there. She opened her mouth to speak, but she didn't know what to say, really. "I-I told you...I was...curious...I just--you didn't say anything, and so..." Oh, of only the ground could swallow her whole! He probably didn't realize how close they were, but she certainly did. But she had to say something. Anything. But...what? I think I'm starting to like you and I'm jealous of Savayna? Hah! The fates are having a field day right now! "Just--jealous--" She blurted out nervously, stammering to make a coherent sentence. "Y-You know...I...I was...like you once..." Her expression fell, as she once again remembered him. "You probably proposed and everything...and she said yes of her own accord...I'm jealous." She wasn't even sure if she made any sense, really. But she did say it.

She was jealous.

They were probably staring at each other for a full minute. Jaakuna could feel the heat — the intense heat of whatever it was. There was definitely something, but Jaakuna couldn’t place it, and surely Emiri couldn’t either…Or could she? Jaakuna had no idea, but he didn’t want to down that road yet. He had to focus on what she was saying and boy was she saying something that got Jaakuna…well confused. When she said the stuff about her being jealous of Savayna and how Jaakuna probably proposed, he let go of her arm angrily. It was like what she said wasn’t the truth and it got him angry just thinking about it.

“It shows, you know.” Jaakuna said completely serious. “You truly are stupid.” Jaakuna said as he slowly had backed away from Emiri, turned away. He turned back after a few seconds, “You want to know the truth about my marriage to Savayna?” Jaakuna was livid and he was gong to tell her. “My marriage to her was arranged, by my father and her mother.” Jaakuna said, revealing the half-truth of it. “Yes, we knew each other as kids, but neither of us saw each other in that way, but she was from a rich family of a rich land. To escape certain conquering of that very land, her father and my father came to a deal and they married the two of us. “ Jaakuna said as he started walking to Emiri, taking her and pinning her against the left wall, his body against hers. It was raw, pure passion from Jaakuna. “So, you still jealous?” He said keeping her pinned against the wall and he just waited.

Emiri had, once again, shot herself in the foot, it seemed. She silently cursed herself, though let out a somewhat irritated huff at being called stupid. Well, perhaps it was true after all. Once more she had figuratively and maybe somewhat literally had doused a fire with oil. Still, she had somewhat sympathized with him. At the very least she had managed to run from her own engagement. Jaakuna then advanced closer and closer. On a reflex she backed away, but soon she found herself pinned between him and the wall. He's too close. He's way too close...! She felt somewhat feverish at this point, feeling his body pressed against hers.

"That's..." Oh no, there it was again, that feeling creeping up on her. She could feel her head swimming as her heart beat faster. Oh no, oh no, she had to stop, she just had to.stop thinking that way. Oh no, she really did like him. She blamed his eyes; they were mesmerizing, and she found herself trapped under his intense gaze. "I just...I know." She lamely tried to explain that she had been in a similar situation, but her mind was like putty. Really, she was being ridiculous! Years of etiquette training all coming crashing down! And yet in a twisted way, as she contemplated his words, she felt herself speak before she thought about it and blurted out, "Yes. She got to have you after all." Her first coherent sentence.

If the gods struck her down now they would be too merciful.
