At this point Emiri got up, just about having enough of the conversation. She threw Nadeline a look and marched off into the hallway. Unbelievable! Neither one of them had any shame, it seemed, and she didn't want to hear anymore of it. Nadeline watched her go, though she too stood up. "I better go apologize, the girl's such a sensitive thing." The blonde girl excused herself, following Emiri out. Once she thought she was out of earshot, she sprinted towards Emiri, but it seemed she got too excited, because she ended up tackling her to the ground.

"Naddie, truly, you are a thorn in my side." Emiri grumbled as she rubbed her shoulder.

Nadeline pressed her finger to her lips. "Quiet, he might hear us, and I need to ask you something quickly." Before she could reply, she interjected, "Have you told Jaakuna of Grant? You realize you are still engaged to him, yes?"

She was actually really surprised at this. She assumed that when she ran away the engagement would be called off, but apparently she was wrong. She got up and dusted herself off, waiting for Nadeline to stand before responding, "I don't care. Grant...That man has nothing over me. I loathe him with a passion, he's manipulative, abusive--" Emiri caught herself, taking in a deep breath before pointing at Nadeline, "Quite frankly, I don't give a damn about him, he could burn for all I care, and if you so much as mention him again in my presence I promise you that you WILL regret it."

Now it was Nadeline's turn to be shocked, though she remained quiet. Wow, she actually angered her. And threatened her. Not that she thought it weighed much, but she would rather not get on her bad side. "Alright, alright...Forgive me, I didn't mean to upset you."

Emiri rubbed her arm and stared at the ground, though she did nod at Nadeline, taking her leave. It was a touchy subject, wasn't it? Still, it didn't quite sit with her that she would keep it a secret. Nadeline found herself wandering back to the dining room, and she approached Jaakuna. He had a right to know. "May we speak?" She asked, her voice in a serious tone. "It's...it's somewhat important."

Good times all around, even though it seemed that Emiri didn’t quite think so as she had just gotten up without saying a word. Jaakuna was just playing of course when he said what he did, but he was having fun. There’s nothing wrong with a little laughter during a mid-morning. Jaakuna did still feel bad. Maybe he should go apologize. He was about to, but Nadeline had to do so before him, so Jaakuna still stayed seated, eating some of the honey ham. It was quite delicious.

Jaakuna saw that Emiri and Nadeline were on the ground due to Nadelines tackling of Emiri. It seemed harmless, so Jaakuna paid no mind to it. A few minutes passed and Jaakuna took another piece of the ham. He was just chowing down on the food on the table. There was still quite a bit of it left and Jaakuna thought it would be a waste not to eat it all, so he was just enjoying it.

As he kept on stuffing his face, Nadeline came back and asked to speak to Jaakuna. By this time, he was done eating, well for now anyways. She made a note that it was somewhat important. “Oh? Well, I’m all ears. Speak your mind, woman.” Jaakuna said as he waited for Nadeline to speak her piece.

Nadeline nodded and sat down once more, crossing her legs and folding her hands on her lap. She looked at Jaakuna directly, wondering where to start. She then leaned back in her seat, and looked at him again. "I think you two fit well with one another." She began, though wondered if that was a good point, and shook her head. "No...that isn't what I want to talk about." She eyed Jaakuna and let out a sigh. "The first time I met Emiri was, oh I don't know, a good six or seven years ago, maybe more. She was brought before the Emperor, you see...her father had offered her hand in marriage to one of his sons, Prince Grant, in exchange for a rise in status, so to speak. Grant is...different from you and I. Despite the way you act I think somewhere in there is a decent person in you."

She paused a moment, a finger on her chin as she thought carefully, but she pressed on, "If you had met her years ago, you would not believe that she is the same person that she is today. She was very quiet, very docile, so to speak. She wouldn't speak unless spoken to, she wouldn't act without permission...it was actually disturbing to look at her in the eyes and notice how empty they were." She said. "Grant he...he used to call her his 'doll'. And let me tell you, it was frighteningly accurate. At the time, she went along with whatever, but over time she started to change...and he didn't like that. At all." She shifted in her seat, knowing she was going into some personal territory, but she had bore witness to it. "To everyone it seemed that they were fine, especially since Emiri never...spoke. But whenever they were out of sight, she was terrified of him, you see. It was bad enough that it was an arranged marriage, but to have to be with someone who had just lost everything, who lashed out at the world in revenge...he is my uncle, and I love him, but..." Nadeline visibly shuddered as she recalled him.

"I suppose what I am trying to say is that if you're just messing around...if you're just toying with her...you need to stop." Nadeline warned him. "It's bad enough that she's suffered more abuse then anyone deserves in a lifetime, but if you and her are going to be involved, you need to be serious. I can tell she likes you, whether she wants to admit it or not, and I thought it best that you know about him." She let out a sad sigh. "I think...he will come looking for her, if I may be so blunt. Mind you she wants nothing to do with him...but if she goes back..." Her voiced trailed off as she closed her eyes.

As Jaakuna sat and took in all that Nadeline had to say to him, he just couldn’t speak during any of it. It wasn’t cause that he didn’t have a chance to. There were plenty of moment he could, but he was just so speechless about what he heard that he couldn’t find the words to sound coherent or even have them make sense. He just couldn’t believe how similar he was to Emiri. Granted, there were some things that were obviously different, but the gist of it was the same. Emiri had an arranged marriage, and Jaakuna did as well. It wasn’t Emiri’s choice just as it wasn’t for Jaakuna when he married Savayna. However, the big difference that Jaakuna saw was that Emiri despised this Grant guy. Jaakuna, however, came to love Savayna with all his heart..and then well, the murder of his father happened and he closed out his heart.

Taking all of that in, Jaakuna took a deep breath in. He knew that being sarcastic here was not a wise move and he didn’t feel like going that route. He knew how to act in serious situations. “I see. Thank you for telling me this, Nadeline.” Jaakuna said leaning forward. “I guess Emiri and I aren’t too different after all. You see, “Jaakuna said breathing in and out, “I too , like Emiri, was arranged in marriage. I do see that much similarities between the two of us, Emiri and myself, but you see the woman I married I grew to love, but when--” Jaakuna said as he looked down, fiddling his thumbs together, “--something horrible happened that I did, I lost myself. I don’t know what it was that exactly got lost, but my emotions took a vacation and, well that’s what led up to me deciding on becoming a sky pirate, in a way.” He spoke, sort of revealing why he became a sky pirate.

Jaakuna then heard Nadeline ask if he and Emiri were serious. That was the question that was going to be asked eventually, but damn! Jaakuna didn’t know how to answer it. He looked back up at Nadeline with unsure eyes. “It’s still very new at this point. There’s so many things her and I need to…explore, and I just don’t know, but to answer your question, Nadeline..” Jaakuna said, “I like to think that what she and I have — whatever you want to call it — is something serious or at least worth continuing. “ He said, finally admitting to himself that there is something serious there between the two of them. “But thank you, I’m glad you told me. I’m sure Emiri didn’t want me to know, but I am glad you told me. “ Jaakuna said. In his eyes there was a definite genuine sincerity that Nadeline could see.

Nadeline finally relaxed somewhat, though she did look around. "It's not that she would hide it, I assure you. It's just a very bad part of her life." She tried to justify it. "And things would get much worse were she to fall in enemy hands. Technically speaking, we have both sides to worry about." She then motioned towards the tome. "I thank you for your understanding. You're very kind." She was about to end it right there, but something else was bugging her. She then recalled that they were probably very close by now. The Ifrit was classified as missing, though that information was strictly under wraps, as was Jaakuna's legal status as a prince. She wanted to pry into it, especially at this 'horrible thing', but for now, she thought it best to lay it to rest. That much, she knew, was not her business.

She leaned back in her seat, lazily taking one of her curls between her fingers. "The Tomb of Raithwall...dare I say, I actually look forward to it. Most ships aren't able to bypass Jagd territory." She said, though she left it at that as she got up. "I got some supplies from Rabanastre, I'll be sure to pack them in my bag. I know some White Magicks as well, but better safe then sorry, right?"

[I]I was kind? What kind of shit is this chick smoking?[/I} Jaakuna really didn’t buy it, but he can’t argue with it. Sometimes he can be nice and kind and all that good shit, but he’s generally an asshole. Jaakuna soon got out of that mindset. Hearing what Nadeline said about how both sides of the ongoing war was what they had to worry about, Jaakuna started to think about his homeland, and in some ways his brother and his wife. Well, would ex-wife be appropriate? Jaakuna didn’t know. He thought they were divorced/separated, but if they were, then why does Jaakuna get the feeling that they aren’t? He’s usually right about these feelings. Regardless on whatever the status was, Jaakuna was deifnitely looking forward to getting to the Tomb of Raithwall. He wanted to see what sort of treasure was buried within the tomb. He had not heard of such a treasure ever. Granted, he has heard of the location itself, but never that such a treasure existed.

When Nadeline made a comment about how it would be interesting to see how the Ifrit would get over such a large turrain, Jaakuna was surprised. “Well, the Ifrit isn’t like most ships. You’ll see that in due time.” Jaakuna said.

As the ship passed the Dalasca Westersand, the difficult flight would begin, but as Jaakuna had said, little time will pass, or at least it would seem like that since the speed of which the ship would travel in would be minutes until the ship itself would get to the Tomb of Raithwall. Jaakuna barely noticed the time that had elapsed.

Iris spoke,“Master Jaakuna, we are about five minutes out from the Tomb of Raithwall. Please get everything you need for the trip ready. We will stop right at the start of the Tomb.”
“Thank you Iris.”

He got up, and motioned Nadeline to follow him. He started walking, and he passed Emiri. “Emiri, time to go. Meet at the beaming station in five minutes.” Jaakuna said as he went to the armory, grabbing his weapons of choice. He would bring along two blood swords, and an Orochi Ninja Sword. It would only be three minutes when Jaakuna would get to the beaming platform.

Nadeline followed Jaakuna, flashing a smile at Emiri as they passed her. Emiri raised an eyebrow at Nadeline. Yeah, those two were getting along too well. Nadeline was up to something. For now, she put that thought to rest, grabbing her bag and joining the two at the center of the ship. That familiar feeling of getting beamed down made her slightly sick, but once they hit the ground, she was relieved. She was also amazed at the Tomb of Raithwall--it was huge! It looked like an adventurer's dream, with multiple pillars making a path to the entrance.

"What is that?" Nadeline asked, pointing to something in the distance.

Emiri squinted, seeing something in the sky. She watched it circle around the Tomb, and suddenly it turned and flew back to them. As it got closer, it got bigger, and bigger. "That's--" Emiri started, though she let out a gasp as it dove towards them. She rushed to Nadeline, pushing her down as it swept its wings over them. It was a Garuda, something normally seen in the Paramina Rift, but apparently it had taken a liking to the desert heat. She brought out her bow, preparing an arrow as it circled around them once more.

"How are we to fight it if we cannot reach it?" Nadeline asked as Emiri fired off an arrow.

As they had beamed down in front of the Tomb of Raithwall, the first thing Jaakuna thought was how big the place was and how many entrances one could go through to get into it. If one wasn’t careful, they would get lost for all of an eternity. Thankfully, Jaakuna knows his way around tricky things. Plus, the two ladies should know a thing or two about that.

As they walked more into the open space, Jaakuna automatically felt the heat. “It didn’t get any cooler the more we went into the desert.” Jaakuna said complaining about how hot it was. It didn’t matter how old he is or what the situation is would be, Jaakuna hated the heat despite having a love for fire. The irony, right?

As the three of them walked more into the open space, Jaakuna saw a shadow. He was sure that wasn’t his. It definitely wasn’t Emiri’s or Nadeline’s shadow either. So, he looked above, and sure and behold, a fucking Garuda. “Wait, don’t those things live somewhere else?” He said a she pointed to the sky , specifically at the Garuda. He didn’t know what was happening, but he knew that they had to kill it. That was reason enough for Jaakuna.

So, as Nadeline questioned how to kill it, Jaakuna took out his Orochi Ninja Sword, and used a flurry of magic spells. “Flare!” He shouted as a burst of magickal energy took the form of a red and orange-colored explosion-like blast was launched upward to the Garuda. It hit, but only caused it to slow down momentarily. The Garuda then came down in a sweeping-like motion, and Jaakuna jumped before it could get to him, and he landed on the Garuda. “Uh-oh..” Jaakuna held on tight as the Garuda had not figured out that Jaakuna was on its back. Hopefully it would stay that way.

"Look at him go! How brave!" Nadeline squealed, waving her arms around frantically.

Emiri actually thought it was the opposite.

Taking in a breath, she shot another arrow at the monster, getting its chest. It let out a screech, though it was more of anger then pain, and it circled around them. Emiri waited until it was close enough, and as she paused time, fired off a dozen arrows. Once time resumed, they all struck the monster. "Be careful! You could wind up hitting him!" Nadeline told her, shaking her arm. Emiri bit her lip, watching the Garuda. This one was a little tougher then the usual variety of Garuda, that much was for sure. The Garuda should have gone down after her dozen arrows, but it still flew in the air.

And was heading straight for them again.

The two girls ducked separate ways, each hiding behind a different pillar. Emiri kept firing arrow after arrow. "Now what?!" Nadeline asked.

"If it can hold still for a moment, I'm sure Jaakuna could bring it down." Emiri replied, firing another shot.

To her surprise, at this point the Garuda sent a gust of wind after them with a great flap of its wings. It made the arrow fly back, as well as sweeping the girls off her feet. She could hear Nadeline's shrieks as they were sent backwards, and Emiri smacked right into a pillar. Stars briefly popped before her eyes as Nadeline ran to her. "Are you alright?!" Nadeline's voice seemed very distant for some reason. Shaking her head, her senses returned to normal, and the two looked up at the Garuda.

Jaakuna was up top of the Garuda and he was just trying to hang for dear life. He had already put away his Orochi Ninja Sword and he was just trying to find a way to keep himself on the back of the Garuda. It would seem that the flying beast did not notice Jakauna was on its back. That meant that Jaakuna could still have a slim chance of either landing on the ground to safety or actually injure this thing while he does go on the ground.

As the beast would start to do some kind of Gust-like attack, Jaakuna would take this time to take out his Orochi. Concentrating magickal energy within it, he simple said “Flare.” When he said that, the blade would be covered in a non-elemental, red and orange shaded explosion-like material. Simply stabbing it into the back of the beast as Jaakuna was hanging on for dear life, the blade went in and the spell itself exploded within the beast’s back. Though not a kill shot, it definitely did leave a rather nicely-sized hole in the back of the Garuda. The result of it caused the beast to cry out in agony, and it was flying and flying around, and well Jaakuna took this time to get off as he jumped off the back, and as he was in the air, he landed on top of a pillar nearby.

“Hey birtbrain!” Jaakuna said as he yelled at the Garuda, and he got its attention. The Garuda was looking at Jaakuna, still wincing in pain from the injury on its back. It charged at him. This is where Jaakuna took a fighting stance and lunged into the air, taking the bird head on. He would then manipulate his power over fire, surrounding his sword, and he slashed downward. Right at the point his sword came into contact with the bird’s beak, a white and red fire took over the Orochi Ninja Sword and the slice went right down the middle of the Garuda. Granted, it helped that the momentum that Jaakuna had helped, but still.

After all that was said and done, there laid a dead Garuda carcass, and Jaakuna’s blade was covered in Garuda blood. “Yuckie.” Jaakuna sad as he shook his sword once and the blood fell off. He put it back on his own back. He then walked over to Nadeline and Emiri. “So, you girls alright?” Jaakuna asked, kneeling down to Emiri making sure she was aware of reality.

"I am fine." Nadeline replied, casting a Cure over Emiri.

The brunette managed to get ahold of herself, though she looked back at the pillar. Whatever it was made out of, it was really hard. Her head hurt a bit, but Nadeline's Cure seemed to help a bit. "Paramina Rift." Emiri murmured, getting up and dusting herself off.

"She seems to be confused." Nadeline blinked, worriedly reaching out to her. "Emi, darling, we're in the Sandsea, remember? The Tomb of Raithwall?"

Emiri swatted her hand away, clearly annoyed. "Garuda USUALLY reside in the Paramina Rift, as to why this one was here, I cannot really say. They avoid the colder temperature by going opposite of where the winds blow, supposedly." She repacked her bow, shrugging. "Perhaps it was attracted to the Tomb somehow...who knows. At any rate, we'd best be careful of whatever other nastiest are around."

The blond haired girl nodded, quickly losing interest. "Well, we all seem to be alright, let's head in, shall we?"

Emiri rubbed the back of her head. feeling a small bump, and looked back at the pillar. She really hit her head hard, she was lucky she didn't get a concussion. After making a mental note to be more careful, she began to follow Nadeline to the Tomb. The stairs were grand, reminding her somewhat of Rabanastre's own palace. Once they reached the top, Emiri noticed there was no door, only a pillar resembling a short lamp post.

Shortly after Jaakuna had finished off the Garuda, he would go over to Emiri and Nadeline to see if they were good, and they would assure him that they were, even though it would seem that Emiri was confused on where the Garuda class of flying beasts usually reside. Jaakuna really didn’t blame her for getting confused. He didn’t know where exactly either and she did hit her head a bit, so that’s another reason why he doesn’t blame her for not remembering correctly. Regardless, they all were fine, so they decided to ascend the long flight of stairs to the entrance of the Tomb.

Going of each stair, Jaakuna just thought about the treasure and what it possibly could be. Sure, this might be a bit petty for him to think about it, considering what Nadeline said about the stakes of what is in the Tomb, but Jaakuna just couldn’t focus on that right now. He wanted to, but..”THE TRESURE!” He shouted, not realizing that he said those aloud until he did it just then. He put his hands over his mouth and he just shut up his mind from thinking about the treasure any longer.

Reaching the top, Jaakuna, along with Emiri and Nadeline, looked at the entrance. Aside from there being no door, there was nothing unusual about it. It was a simple entrance to the tomb. Jaakuna scratched his head. “So, I guess that’s the end of the road huh? Unless we force our way through the place using magick, I don’t see how we are able to get into the tomb.” Jaakuna said stratching his head more.

Nadeline looked around, her hands touching the wall, as if she was trying to find a secret button that would let them in. "I don't understand...the passage should be here. This is the right place..." She didn't get it. There had to be some way in, there just had to be! She didn't doubt the place or the information. It must be hidden, but where? She shook her head at Jaakuna's suggestion of breaking the wall down. "No...there must be a way in, we just don't see it."

Emiri kept staring at the device before her. It was odd, she had never seen anything like it, but it was somehow familiar to her. She really must have hit her head hard if she was considering these thoughts. Still, she was strangely drawn to it. She walked forward, and as she got closer to it, a light appeared in the center. She inspected it carefully, and suddenly, she felt the urge to touch it. She was truly going crazy, but she couldn't resist. Without really thinking, she extended her hand, and the light erupted into one much brighter.

After Nadeline turned down Jaakuna’s suggestion of breaking the wall down, he then went back to what could possibly be done about getting into the tomb. Jaakuna was truly drawing a blank. He really didn’t know what could be done. He honestly had no idea and it was getting him aggravated. Then, he saw Emiri go towards the pedestal. Jaakuna looked at it too, but he didn’t walk over to it, not yet at least. He then saw her as she touched it and something happened.

“A light…it’s bright!!” Jaakuna yelled as he saw the light engulf Emiri and she was gone. “Where’d she go?!” Jaakuna asked as he looked around and he didn’t see her. Jaakuna didn’t know where she went, but something was telling him that he should touch the pedestal. So, he did, and as he did that, a light erupted as well. He felt something weird gather within himself, and his body was warped. He found himself inside the tomb as Jaakuna had looked back and it was the same exact texture that the wall for the entrance of the tomb had. “Wow, this is trippy. ” Jaakuna said as he cocked his head to the side and an expression of shock and awe appeared on his face..

As the light faded away, Emiri felt a pang of disappointment. She was expecting...something to happen. She stepped back, though realized it had suddenly got a lot darker. She looked around, noticing that she wasn't outside anymore. How did she get here? Her question was answered by another flash of light, and Jaakuna appeared beside her. The girl jumped back, surprised. The light had warped them into the Tomb, it seemed.

"A Way Stone!" Nadeline exclaimed as she too appeared, clearly excited about the process. "Why of course! They were used primarily during the Galtean Alliance but many found their magicks far too complicated, so they were discontinued and forgotten after some time! To think it still worked...I wonder what activated it?"

Emiri shuddered. She hated the idea of teleporting, though at the very least she didn't get the same odd feeling as she did whenever she was beamed into Jaakuna's ship. She sniffed, and then let out a sneeze. The Tomb was great, sure, but quite dusty as well. The place was lit by several lights matching those of the Way Stone; she assumed they were probably Fire Magicite. Despite the place's size, it seemed there was only one path to go in deeper.

"Shall we keep going?" Nadeline asked, clearly unfazed by the situation.

"Tread carefully, we don't know if there are any more monsters about." Emiri warned her.

Nadeline grinned mischievously, raising an eyebrow at her. "I wouldn't worry much about the monsters, we can slay them. I think we should worry more about any spirits lurking, awaiting those who would dare to trespass and steal Raithwall's treasure." She giggled evily, waving her arms around. "Ghouls, animated skeletons, demonic entities...why, I wouldn't be surprised if we were attacked by one any minute!"

Emiri froze in place, her eyes widening as she listened to Nadeline. Ghouls? Skeletons? She bit her lip nervously, looking around. That was silly, wasn't it? They wouldn't be around here, now would they? She felt her fear taking root and shrunk back slightly. She was just teasing, that was just silly, wasn't it? Just some old tales? Not that she was afraid or anything, no...she wasn't afraid.

It was pretty damn dusty in the Tomb. Jaakuna was sneezing left and right. After a few rounds of sneezing, he finally got it under control and he just looked around, hearing Nadeline explaining to Emiri that there were probably a good variety of monsters within the tomb. Jaakuna just shrugged it off. Despite what Emiri felt about these creepy things, Jaakuna could care less. He would just kill them like any other fiend out there. He’s just focused on what lies ahead and that’s the treasure. Though, Jaakuna did wonder what sort of demonic entities were around.

Shrugging off any nerves that Jaakuna might or might not have had, he proceeded to walk forward with Emiri and Nadeline, moving their way through the beginning of the tomb. They went around something, and as they came to a narrow pathway, Jaakuna heard something. The sounds of metal, or something of the like. He turned to look to see what it was and it was…well, he didn’t know what it was. It looked like some kind of demonic moving wall. Jaakuna didn’t even know what the fuck it was, but he didn’t have the time to think about that. The thing was coming in close.

“Well shit guys, looks like we got company. “Jaakuna said as he pulled out his two Blood Swords. “We got two options here. We fight or flee.” Jaakuna said. “I much prefer to fight, but you know majority vote wins, so what do you say?”

"My vote is to fight, of course." Nadeline eyed the wall warily, brandishing her rapier, though she did notice that Emiri was glarng at her. "What? I didn't think we'd run into one so soon." She looked from the wall to the passage, then at the exit. "We have a time limit, best be getting starting, lest we get crushed."

Crushed?! Emiri groaned, though she too unsheathed her Longsword. The wall was creepy, something straight out of a nightmare, really. Still, it slowly advanced towards them, and even in a few seconds Emiri backed away somewhat. Emiri held out her free hand, a glyph of a clock appearing underneath the evil wall. Its hands spun backwards slowly, though the glyph soon broke. Not affected by time magick, I see. She readied her sword, watching as the demon clashed its own twin blades together before swinging them both at the group.

The decision was made, so Jaakuna knew what he had to do. He had to fight and he better not mess up or he might just wind up dead. The demon wall would waste no time as it would use its twin blade-hand things at the group. Jaakuna would dodge roll to the left and he would hope that the other two would do the same. Jaakuna would then pop up and lunge himself forward, and slashing as much as he could, he used his Blood Swords to somehow fend the Demon Wall back, and it was working.

The result of his duel-sword slashing pushed the Demon wall back just a few feet. It wasn’t enough to grant enough room for a long time, but maybe Emiri and Nadeline could get some hits in too. Jaakuna backflipped a few feet, and took a stance again. “Well, just don’t stand there, do something. It’ll really suck if we all die here.”

Well, if the wall couldn't be slowed down, then perhaps they simply needed to be faster. One more Emiri held out her hand, and the clock appeared underneath their feet. This time, the hands spun forward, faster and faster, granting them the Haste status. Nadeline sported a wicked grin, darting forward as Jaakuna came back. She slashed her rapier several times, her attacks numerous as she let out one attack after another. As the wall attempted to bring down a blade to her, Emiri leapt forward, parrying the wall's great sword.

Emiri jumped back, skidding to a halt a few feet back, though in a flash she sprinted forward. She let her sword trail the ground and then brought it up in a crescent formation, causing the wall to roar. It couldn't keep up with their hastened movements, though soon the spell wore off. They had to be close to victory, this much she was sure of. Nadeline paused in her attack as the wall stopped attacking. "Are we victorious?" She asked.

Before anyone could answer, however, the wall let out a spell. Nadeline shrieked as she was afflicted, her eyes rolling to the back of her head as she suddenly fell over. Emiri herself literally couldn't see anymore; she rubbed her eyes, but it was as if a dark veil had been cast over them. She tried squinting to see, but she was literally pushed back by the wall. Only then did she realize she was blinded. "Nadeline! Jaakuna! Are you alright?!" She asked, blinking several times and not being able to look around properly.

From when Jaakuna came back to the herd to wheen Nadeline and Emiri both used their own attacks, Jaakuna thought that they were doing fairly well against the Demon Wall. They were fending it off, dodging and blocking when they needed, and avoiding any unneeded injuries. Jaakuna thought there was nothing to worry about, even with the obvious time limit that they found themselves under. When the wall stopped, Jaakuna was with Nadeline. He had thought that they had won as well. However, he would soon realize that he was wrong.

Whatever sort of magick that the Demon Wall had used, it would seem that this certain spell casted a shadow over the three of them. Jaakuna could not see. All he saw was darkness. Try and try as he might, Jaakuna just couldn’t see. “Damn it!” Jaakuna said as he tried rubbing his eyes, but he still couldn’t see. “I can’t fucking see!” Jaakuna roared out. He wasn’t sure what to do. He couldn’t fight without sight. How was he going to figure this one out?

Jaakuna just stayed faced the same direction he was facing before he got blinded. He held his swords in a defensive position. “Does anyone have anything that can cure blindness? “ Jaakuna asked, not even knowing where the two ladies were at.
