"Damn, that didn't work," if he could have he would of looked disappointed. "I thought that that would at least surprise you," he said as he sat on a tree branch, "but I guess it's hard to scare a killer."
"Ben is easy to scare, pull out a knife and he runs screaming," Jeff laughs remembering the time he did that, "but Sally, I'm not sure about. I don't know what would scare her."
"She's definitely a brave kid," Jeff says in admiration almost, "she's not even afraid of Laughing Jack, who even creeps me out a little." Jeff hears Sally and looks around, "either I got crazier or Sally said that nothing scares her."
Jeff gets slightly annoyed, "I don't know what it is ok, it's just clowns. I never liked them before, but now that I'm insane only thing that can creep me out is an insane clown. Jack fits that description perfectly."
"Whatever you say." Jane said wrapping her legs around the tree and letting her upper body hang upside down from the branch as she faced the darker part of the forest.
"You know me, nothing except that psycho clown can come close to scaring me," Jeff said trying his best to redeem himself. He didn't know what to say though so he sat there thinking.
Sally slid out of the darkness just long enough to light run her nails down Jeff back and slide back into the shadows. As she went back into hiding she was softly sing "pop goes the weasel' just loud enough for Jeff to hear.
"It sounded a lot like Jack, I felt something touch my back and I heard someone singing 'pop goes the weasel.' I guess I'm getting even more insane," Jeff says as he leans against the tree with a sigh.
"Wouldn't doubt that." Jane said as she pulled herself a bit towards the branch then released it from her legs. Her hands catching the branch and she swung around it to a handstand then brought her self down onto the branch so she was sitting again against the trunk.
'Yep something is wrong with my mind,' Jeff thought to himself. "Jane, something in my mind is telling me to tell you that you're beautiful. I think I'm going to listen to it."
