Sometimes, but not the kind of hot that most people would feel it as. It's more of a insight, like "This object or room has a lot of heat" or "this doesn't have a lot of heat". There is no pain or discomfort with the level of heat of a place, thing, or fire.

The training? That's the proctor's department. I can take you to him if you wish to ask him. He specifically gave me a month of time for us to learn this, but he told me we could rush it a bit if necessary. But if we go visit him, we'll have to disguise ourselves to the locals. On their planet, water is extremely scarce, and used as a monetary trade item. We'll look, as they'd put it: water-bloated.

They have ways of collecting moisture from the air, if you walk by it, unless yoy have complete control of every bit of water in your body, itll trip the sensors.
