It's a long story, but basically there was a prophecy that chaos would return and wreak havoc on Existence on a certain day, and an order was established to prevent this from happening by destroying the spirit of Chaos, my brother, but they inadvertently brought the prophecy to fulfilment and Soren's possessed by Svár, his first reincarnation. Wow, that's a mouthful.
