Thaaat would also badly damage the foundations of our Order, which is the main problem: We can't remove either of us from the collective mind, nor can we pull a specific one out of the controlling mind because we can't tell which part of the mind is for who. We're both stuck with no way to move me back.

Pretty much! Technically, we could both fit in the controlling mind, but for some reason I'm pushing Ruby out. We don't know how or why. Some of the incarnations say that maybe the movement of my slipping into Ruby's mind is what's happening, but it's still going and there's nothing to stop it. They think that if Ruby were to gain her real power, that could stop the movement. Others are saying a magical presence is keeping my consciousness moving, but otherwise it'd stop. Or the controlling mind really can't fit both of us.
