A man chooses. A slave obeys. A Nightmare may vanish, but will never go away.
*Disintegrates into dust*

Ah, Hummingbirds. The most fragile of the avians.

<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

So...what now?

So nothing. My experiment is dead, and you have the weight of an innocent Hummingbird on your shoulders. That's it.

<Snipped quote by Webmaster>

*Ridge and I look at each other, then look back at you*
Why do you keep doing this?

Doing what, to be exact?

This entire project. Whatever it is.
Ridge: Nightmares, Dream Eaters, birds... Why?

I don't see how I "keep" doing anything, considering Project Hummingbird could only be executed once. I built it and it failed; there's not much more to it.

But even with Unity before. Why do you keep trying to do this, putting all refard for potential disasters to the back of your mind?

Unity was worked on by others in the Top Ten; it wasn't my own. David was a threat, so I decided to end him. I likely still will at some point. Hummingbird was under my control, so there was no danger there. Mm, nope. I don't see what ground those accusations hold.

I had no idea Unity wasn't yours like Hummingbird was. The top ten worked on him, so I figured it was safe to say you held an equally important role there to the one you hold here. Suppose not.

Project Thunderbird was supervised by others, just as its counterpart, Hummingbird, did involve accomplices. In the same way, I worked alone on Project Roadrunner, just as I did on Project Nightmare. That one did happen to break the bird naming conventions, but subprojects aren't required to. Roadrunner just stuck because it was fitting.

Ridge: Are these all still ongoing projects? Aside from Hummingbird, of course.

Thunderbird and Roadrunner was Unified Unity, while Hummingbird and Nightmare are Bio-Unity.

So none of them are still ongoing...
Martyn: Are there any projects you still have running?

You do not have clearance to receive that information. I'm only giving you information of these past projects out of the goodness of my heart.

Ridge: Oh, thank you, you kind soul.
-If that's the case, I don't have anything else to ask.
Martyn: ... Yeah.

Oh? No monologue about "limits" or good versus evil, or something just as irritating? No "Why did you do this?"

Ask anybody who's in a high position. Existence will fall, and someone, whether it be Baphumet, Unity, or First himself, needs to fix it. None of the Systems are enough to manage everyone, so what Existence needs is a god. And Prism is not sufficient for the job; a superior being is needed instead.

But if we already have beings in Existence who can fix it, why make another one?
