Well, to quote one version of earth, this isn't my first rodeo. However, this is the first time I've dealt with a situation of this scale. So I'm going to say most of my tactics will only be half as effective.

*The runes hold steady and 50 - 60 % of the energy flows around the planet, dispersing harmlessly while what's left hits the half of the planet that I haven't shifted out of the way with a seal that changes it's orbital path temporarily by shifting the areas of density around inside the nearby solar body.*
